  3. My team, Alienworks, is going to be releasing a short yuri VN in a couple months. I'm a little bit late on the whole thread creation thing, since we announced the project back in September, but what can ya do? So first off about us, then I'll get to the good parts. As you might know, Alienworks has another project going on, The Human Reignition Project, which you can see in my signature. That's our main game. HB was a side project started by myself and one of the other writers, and is way smaller in scope. That other writer is Syon, Setsuna's writer for HRP. Then we have Jake Abernathie and Anna Logue composing the soundtrack, with our programmer Kevin Turner putting everything together. Art is handled by Rosuuri, Shiyun and Myuto, who also work on HRP. Badriel is doing the backgrounds, and we also have a number of CG's being completed by Weee/Raemz, best known for her work on Katawa Shoujo. While they're both a little bit lacking, we have a VNDB entry as well as our own website. Here's our little blurb about the project, taken from the Steam Greenlight page, which should be up in the next week or so. Developed by Alienworks, Highway Blossoms is a short lesbian (or "yuri") story set in the American Southwest. After an old gold rush miner's journal is discovered, supposedly detailing where he hid parts of his stash, a nationwide craze begins as would-be prospectors try to solve its clues and strike it rich. Amber couldn't care less. Wandering the desert in a recently-inherited motorhome, she mourns the loss of her grandfather - indifferent and unaware to the hunt happening around her. It's not until she meets Marina, a young hitchhiker lost in New Mexico that the girls get swept up in the rush. A tribute to music and Americana, Highway Blossoms is a linear visual novel experience. With an emphasis on romance and adventure, the game is sometimes somber and sometimes silly. We hope to write a game that both long-time VN fans and newcomers to the medium can enjoy, as well as a fun contribution to the yuri genre. Right now, we're hoping to have the game out in mid-April, though it's still a bit too early to announce a definite release date. We've got a first draft of the script done, as well as all the backgrounds, half the soundtrack, half the CG's and a few of the sprites. All the other things are moving along pretty quickly though. When it's done, it'll be on Steam with a free uncensor patch available, or alternatively you can get the DRM-free adult version on Denpasoft. It's not an eroge or anything like that, but there are a couple sex scenes. The emphasis is on romance and adventure though. Similar to what we did for the HRP demo, we're going to be putting together a guest art gallery for anyone who might want to participate. You can get all the details from the document linked in this tweet. Retweets and shares are much appreciated. As always, thanks for reading!

  4. Coeus Corrupt (Ko-wus) Pantheon: Greek Age: 1482 Height: 14' or 19' standing Fighting Style: Soul Leeching Alignment: Chaotic Evil FANTASY In the bowels of a long lost Anunnaki burial chamber roams the Titan Coeus. He once was the most intelligent Titan to ever exist and was the most likely to succeed at developing humanity in the outside world. Fate was cruel to him though as his curiosity got the best of him. Nun warned all the ancient bloodlines of the three dominant spirits that were sent to Earth with him. Nun possessed one but the other two were lost in the crash landing of his ship. Coeus searched for years for relics of the long lost Sirius ship and did not heed the warning of Nun to notify him immediately if they ever were to be discovered. When he touched the relic, the spirit within it infused with his core, causing him to fall into madness. He tried to fight the urge for a time but eventually it took over and he killed an Anunnaki by draining it of its soul. Uranus, his father, intervened on his behalf when Marduk seeked vengeance. Marduk did not trust Uranus to honor his word though and negotiated the terms of his punishment. The Annunaki would build a cursed facility under the ground which would keep him imprisoned for eternity with special sigils that drained his power. He is forever roaming these halls waiting for the day he can be free to feed again. HISTORY Coeus is of the Greek pantheon, known as the Titan of rational intelligence. He fathered many children and was considered a positive Titan. In the Titanomachy (The war between Titans and Olympians,) he was overthrown and imprisoned for an eternity in Tartarus (Hell.) unlike the other Titans, he went mad in his imprisonment and broke free of his chains in an attempt to escape but failed in his attempt. THEORY We decided to change the timeline a bit and tie his historical madness into his inquisitive nature. We liked the tragedy of an intelligent and benevolent Titan falling from grace due to his lack of wisdom. By showing his fall, we make him more relatable and also incorporate cross pantheon relationships between the Anunnaki and the Titans. This allows us to create vivid lore that mixes the two worlds and enriches the story of a mad god who was once a benevolent saint. Full blown critiques plz. This is a rough of the Coeus concept which will be properly rendered at a later date. The image is the scale.

Confession: I actually did that with someone three times in a row once, and both of us ended up so off-balance we almost fell down while laughing hysterically. A++ experience, looking forward to the next time it happens. Confession 2: In about five minutes, I'll be heading out to my first real interview of this round of job hunting (also meaning it's the second real interview in my whole life...). I'm pretty wound up about it, but I already took care of all the five-minute chores I could find around the house, so here I am killing time by posting on Fuwa. Wish me luck!

  8. A few xcom tips: Initiating combat correctly is one of the most important skills to nail down. Even though the game suggests you do this, do not break concealment by overwatching everyone but one guy and shooting with the last one. This often allows the enemy to get flank shots on you that you can't do anything about. You also have little control over who you eliminate first. If you have time, set up an overwatch trap so the enemy paths into your soldiers and you overwatch shoot them on THEIR turn, not yours. And if you don't have time, just open fire with someone without much utility like a sharpshooter, and then plan out the rest of your turn based on how they react. After you get into contact, use and abuse grenades. ALWAYS bring a grenadier, maybe even bring two if you can. Lean on the frag grenade's cover destruction capabilities heavily to leave enemies exposed. If you're ending missions with spare grenades, then you aren't using them enough, they're truly a godsend. Also build Flashbangs ASAP. If you ever get yourself into a tight spot, toss a flashbang out. If a sectoid or Codex ever does any annoying psychic shit, flashbang them and it will cancel it out. Once you get mimic beacons, start using those to get you out of awkward situations. Activated two enemy groups at once and are at danger of getting flanked? Toss a mimic beacon and the enemy will shoot it instead of you. It's so good. Rangers with phantom are clutch. Try not to reveal your phantom ranger on first contact if at all possible, but obviously don't lose anyone over keeping them hidden. Then use your phantom to scout ahead from the rest of your group so you can initiate combat correctly. I don't like the sword skills too much, I don't think swords do anything that shotguns don't do better, aside from basically being able to "run'n'gun" every turn with the sword. That said, Run'n'gun plus Implacable is a clutch combo. Run right into the heart of the enemy, gun down their key soldier and run right back into cover. Rapid Fire later makes this ridiculous. Sharpshooters are really only good using the gunslinger traits, but they are incredibly good. You can shoot a billion times a turn just by going all the way down the right tree. For sure give your sharpshooters special damage-adding ammo, as this gives them a huge boost in damage potential since they shoot several times a turn. Adding an ammo type adds at least two damage to each shot (despite only showing one, the DoT is guaranteed to deal at least one damage as well), and you can apply that to multiple targets! So good. They're weak to armor, though, so always bring a good shredding plan. For Grenadiers, as I said grenades are the linchpin of any sound tactical plan. This makes their grenade perks great, obviously. But having a gunner build isn't a bad idea either, because Suppression, Holo Targeting, and Chain Shot are so good, and Rupture is godlike. Actually, you probably want Shredder Ammo on everyone, blast padding isn't very good. And you also probably want Salvo on everyone over Hail of Bullets. More actions, more destruction, more good. Specialists are just kind of shit. They're good in longer, protracted missions where you'll want to heal multiple times, but aside from those they don't really have much of a place, especially in the late game. In the early game, Combat Protocol, Haywire, and Scanning are helpful, and once you get into the mid game you may want to respec them into an overwatch-support build with the medical and overwatch perks. I generally give my specialists flashbangs and save their moves for last. Their combat protocol can finish off enemies who are close to death, or they can flashbang to buy yourself a turn. The game really strongly wants you to play fast, and you should do so. It's really punishing if you just sit back and trade shots with the aliens, that's a bad way to go. Blow up cover, find good run'n'gun opportunities (don't leave your precious rangers exposed, though) set up flanks, and generally try to end every single engagement in one, or two turns tops.

    Anime and Visual Novels

I'm just going to go straight to the point, no bullshit. Why is anime now just a bunch of harem teasing stereotypes, where half of the entire show is just watching characters cringing like they have blue balls over sexual situations, and the other half is creating irrelevant arks that provide no progression in story or character development? *COUGH* Scuse me! Perhaps I am being biased, since i grew up as a kid watching Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z while eating my cereal every Sunday morning. When I got older, I watched things like FMA, Katanagatari, Samurai Champloo, Spice and Wolf, Steins;Gate, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Bakemonogatari, Gurren Lagann and every studio Ghibli film like it was my religion. I still watch anime, but I have been finding myself closing the stream without even finishing the second episode because of how bored I get too many times. There are some glimmers of beauty though, in 2015 I saw a little show called Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso that made me cry harder than accidentally getting onion juice into my eyes when I was 10. Then I found the world of VNs, and punched myself for not finding it sooner. The time and effort put into writing the plot/setting, the awesome sprites that bring characters to life, the voice acting that surpasses many anime today, the multiple routes with stories within stories creating "what if" scenarios in every corner. Even if some VNs are just designed to be glorified sex games, at least it doesn't try to beat around the bush with it, you get what you get. Hell, I would probably argue that sex is something that our society shames on too much (here in the US), but that is for a different discussion. I would love to see series that at least shows some kind of sexual interaction between characters, whether it's explicit or implicit. *COUGH*|*COUGH* Scuse me, don't know what's wrong with my throat..... Anyways, I want to hear what you guys think. A wise man once said:

  12. First, some otomes have really interesting classic scenario's. Otomate in particular is almost specialized in medieval Japanese stories like Hakuoki. And I really like medieval knight & samurai stories. PersonA has Phantom of the Opera as a theme and that's my favorite musical by a long mile. And Sanzen Sekai Yuugi is almost modern spy movie style. Secondly, they put much greater emphasis in male characters, and I'm so sick of the idiot friend type. It's actually very refreshing to have a coversation with a male character who acts like an intelligent being and doesn't shout the whole time as I'd be deaf. Maybe that doesn't apply to all otomege's, but at least the guys in Hakuoki are some real kickass dudes. Thirdly, it's still a boy-girl scenario just with reversed roles, which is kind of interesting. Fourthly, they still have some gorgeous protagonist girls which are even always visible on screen like Tomoe Nakahara from Sanzen Sekai Yuugi: And all the H-scenes are with her... *drool*

  17. The lore is great. As for the design, I'll have to agree the face looks out of place. Well I can't really say what exactly would be better, but I still recommend that you change the face(perhaps reduce the elongation of the face, change the horns). For the height, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Though making it around 30 feet might be better.

  23. Just gonna add something. I'd say that actually rangers with sword skills are one of the most insane and op units there are. Bladestorm, Reaper, Untouchable... basically after getting a few promotions your ranger will 1-hit enemies with its sword, dodge all enemy melee attacks and ignore overwatch shots, counterattack/attack anyone getting near it, dodge ranged shots thanks to Untouchable, etc. If the enemy is really close together it might be a bit too dangerous (unless you already have Reaper, in which case you'll simply kill them 1 by 1 in the same turn), but in most missions the enemy doesn't really go together that much after the initial "we've spot you and taken cover" positions. And, once you unlock the stun sword (quite early in the game), the enemies you don't kill with 1 hit, you leave stunned or unconscious, most of the times. I also disagree with Sharpshooters. Pure snipers end up getting far more kills. And with some weapon upgrade that gives aim + special bullets, they'll snipe most enemies. To this, add Death from Above (getting a kill from higher ground takes only 1 action and doesn't end your turn) and Kill Zone (this one is insane, you take a reaction shot against any enemy that moves or attacks inside a really big cone zone). This means a single Sharpshooter can easily kill a whole group of enemies within a single turn. Gunslinger is also good since some enemies will get too close, which is why I always bring 1 of each, but Snipers simply outdamage gunslingers, and offer so much cover. They have the problem of demanding not to move if you wanna shot with the rifle, but since you want to put it on high ground and leave them there, it's not that problematic. And once you get the Spider Suit, this becomes even easier.

    Windows tablet for VN

I did the same thing two years ago. I bought a super cheap Windows 8 pro tablet specifically for reading VNs in bed without having to worry about an overheating laptop. I personally really enjoyed the small form factor of the device and it worked very well for reading F/SN and F/HA which were the only two VNs that I read on it before I got a folding laptop. Things to look for: Full USB ports. I got the Lenovo Miix 2 which only has a micro USB port. They make micro to full adapters, but it's better to just have a full one. At the $100 price range though, you're probably only going to find micros. Or, at least that was the case when I went shopping. USB ports that can power external hard drives. One of the deciding factors in the tablet that I got was the fact that it could power an external hard drive. Any of them will power a thumb drive if that's all you plan on using, but if you want to plug in your 1TB hard drive, make sure the device has enough power to spare. Unfortunately this information is not forthcoming. I had to watch YouTube reviews to find out if the Miix 2 would run external hard drives or not. As for the RAM thing, 2 GB should be okay. You might have some long load times on newer VNs, but so long as the system reqs are 2GB or lower you should be fine. I was able to play StarCraft II on my Miix 2 which also has a minimum RAM req of 2GB.

In the Japanese version you could pet the everyone without having to tie the knot. Good god I swear I laughed soooo hard that I lost several decades of my pathetic life. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT THAN? Is this really going to teach little Timmy how a healthy relationship between lovers should work irl? Guys, if little Timmy only has video games to teach him about irl relationships.... Timmy is already fucked (and not in the head patting way).

every time I posted something or edited something, which I still believe it was correct, on vndb I got a really bad backlash or my post edited/deleted, I don't want to waste my time with them, it won't matter what I said by the end... they will do what they want to do edit: I don't want to sound like an ass but the fact is they are doing what they want, they deleted the games entries and it wasnt up for discussion whether if it was ok or not if you agree or not they already did it and that's it that. edit*: funny i remembered my first post there, which now seems a bit silly but oh well I was new at the time, I was treated like shit, that's why I love fuwa, this community is one of the friendlies I've ever been.

  29. I don't know what's wrong with some of your deductive reasoning, but IRL paizuri is even better than it is on screen. Holy shit, so fucking amazing. Of course, it takes a nice pair for it to work, but HOLY FUCK. The first time I got sandwiched by a pair of F cups I shot my load in 3 strokes. Soooooooo goooooooooood. You might as well be claiming a woman's mouth wouldn't feel good on you in real life. Does not compute. I can't believe I am seriously reading a thread where a man is trying to tell a woman what does and does not stimulate her secret place, AFTER she says she has a fetish for it. Only on the internet. Onto how eroge have corrupted me... I certainly have a fetish for the word hora now. I can't hear the word without thinking about shooting my load in a lamia's mouth. With or without a paizuri to warm up. I have developed a Pavlovian response to the name Takashiro that always gets me ready to tear Takashiro-sensei's clothes off and makes my dick tinge. Thankfully I don't encounter any Takashiros in real life. It's opened me up to rape, to a certain extent. When getting revenge on some bitch in an eroge who is being a bitch for the sake of being hated, or raping an ally/enemy until they like it I'm fine with. However, bring up real rape like what the rapefugees have been doing to European women and boys and I want to see them meet a very violent and painful end. Between games and anime, I've certainly opened my eyes to the feminine charms of the kitsune. And Kansaiben. I wouldn't call it a fetish per se, but women who use warawa or ware are almost guaranteed to be winners.

Put some more effort in there and clash those wet pussies hard! NSFW link: Body Swapping - After reading Change!: https://vndb.org/v14934, possibly the best body swapping visual novel out there, I actually found myself scavenger hunting for this specific genre. There's not a lot of them but I highly recommend Change! which I already mentioned, Real Imouto ga Iru Ooizumi-kun no Baai: https://vndb.org/v3746, and Maikuro: https://vndb.org/v2699. This genre is always interesting to me seeing a girl turned into a guy and now have to deal with her "cock". Although surprisingly I'm not really into futanaris. Snake/serpent-like girls/Lamias - Something about that tongue and slithering movement that is sexy about them. Although Amira which is a reverse Lamia from Monster Girl Quest is actually the cutest thing ever. Spats - Kazuko from Majikoi awakened my fetish for spats, to the point I like to wear them in real life too! I prefer Spats vs Bloomers as the ideal VN sportwear for girls. Princess Evangile Licensed by Mangagamer Summary "To be honest, I really did give up hope... And that's when I met you." Burdened by the incredible debt his father left behind, Okonogi Masaya is now destitute and alone. However, through a strange collection of events, he finds himself living at the prestigious Vincennes Academy, an all-girls charm school! His purpose is to mingle amongst the Filles De La Vincennes ("Maidens of Vincennes") as the single male "sample" to promote gender integration. How will these young, innocent, and otherwise pure maidens react to his presence?! And just like that, his life at an all-girls school began... Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order There are four heroines: Rise, Chiho, Ritsuko, and Ayaka. You may play in any order you want based on your preferences. I personally did Rise -> Chiho -> Ritsuko -> Ayaka Note: Ayaka's route has spoilers for Ritsuko's route. Route Guideline Common route: Chapters 0 ~ 16, Heroine route: Chapters 17 ~ 26. During common route, stay faithful to whichever heroine you want! Failure to do so will result in returning to the title screen after Chapter 16. Rousenin Rise Sagisawa Chiho Kitamikado Ritsuko Kitamikado Ayaka Attribution This walkthrough was created and formatted by Eclipsed based on information from seiya-saga.com Special thanks to Sonicboom2.0 for the jumpstart & Nimbus for walkthrough suggestions~
