  1. This topic is just a clever ploy to get me to watch Married with Children. I won't fall for it. That show sucks.

  2. I knew it! All those Steam engineers where lurking here to see if they could get away with this. But jokes aside it's good that it's fixed/changed again. And hopefully this is not a sign of what is to come with steam.

  3. 08/08 - Paulette's new hscene released! Just extract patch3.xp3 from the 7.z directly in the game folder, overwrite the old patch3.xp3. Patch3.xp3 is a separate patch until it's completed. You still need the Full patch (hachi and hibiki, named patch2.xp3) + the restoration patch ( bandaids removal or heliosaurus restoration, named patch.xp3 ) Maitetsu 18+ Demosaic Patch - Paulette v0.6.7z PS. Added a new poll. Nothing major. If you have time please answer it .

  6. Sekai Project Titles are also affected. I just tested it and titles like Muv Luv (Alternative), the 3 main Grisaia titles, Chrono Clock don't show up if you search them. And after searching some of Mangagamer titles, it's the same problem. Titles like Like Kindred Spirits on the Roof, Mutiny!! or D.S. -Dal Segno- don't show up in the search function. And from Jast USA I can confirm that Eiyu*Senki isn't showing up when you search it. I haven't looked up all titles but some titles show up just fine. (The Phantom Trigger releases for example or Tokyo Babel) They are also specific for games because the Muv Luv Wallpaper pack or the Kindred Spirits on the Roof Drama CDs show up despite the actual VN being omitted. I hope this gets fixed soon because otherwise its pretty bad. Or maybe this it's just steams new way to get the games out that they don't want to see.

  7. Florida is not an ideal place to be for Summer. Sadly I can't afford to live the snowbird lifestyle and move up north when it gets this hot, so I pretty much have to deal with it. That said, I have had a few moments of inspiration during my 3-month Summer break from college, and I think I've finally managed to gain a certain sense of clarity I didn't have during the previous semester. I've made tremendous progress on mental health recovery, I'm learning how to manage my time better, my overall fitness has improved drastically, and I've even figured out a few techniques to help me optimize my studies while I was learning Japanese (especially with the Pomodoro Technique, which was recommended to me by 1P1A). Though there were some downsides with the weather, I'd say my Summer was good overall.

  10. Makura 2 Kisaki 4 Nagi 4 Fukami 10 Reina 10 Poll closed because of time limit. Reina and Fukami tie and Kisaki and Nagi tie.... I didnt vote because of fairness. I will respect the votes but I am not a miracle worker. Cant do two chars at the same time. So I use my special powers which grants me an extra vote! Muhaha. And now I can give two votes. So I give one vote to Reina and the other vote to Nagi!... so now the order stands : 1. Reina 2. Fukami 3. Nagi 4. Kisaki 5. Makura

  12. MAITETSU 18+ DEMOSAIC STEAM AND FAKKU PATCH Did you mistake the quote "100% DRM free and completely uncut with no scenes removed" as "TOTALLY UNCENSORED!"? Do you hate to see squares in beautiful art? Are you from the golden era (JAST USA, Peach Princess, G-Collections) and expected from an localized eroge to get an fully uncut, uncensored and without mosaics game? ... Then this patch is for you. You read it right, the patch does what it says. It removes the mosaic in hscenes from the beautiful artwork. Original MAITETSU 18+ Fakku edition -> you can buy it at the official page: https://www.fakku.net/games/maitetsu-english -> PLEASE SUPPORT english localization by buying the game ! OR BUY FROM STEAM Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch - FOR STEAM OR BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch - FOR FAKKU 1. [Q]: Is it legit? [A]: I can't believe it myself either. But YES! It is real and it does what it says. Try it before reporting or commenting. Thank you. 2. [Q]: Where are the hscenes? I can't find them in the game? [A]: There are no hscenes in the common route, except provoking pictures which the Maitetsu 18+ Release Restoration Patch restores and the actual hscenes won't trigger by default, but during a heroine route, a message will popup at bottom right side of the screen saying that you gain access to a hscene, then you have to manually open the hscene in the menu. It is a game design, not a bug or glitch, it is how LOSE company makes the games. Rarely you will gain access for hscenes during a route, most hscenes are unlocked AFTER finishing the game with that particular heroine. 3. [Q]: When does the DLC hscenes show up? [A]: After you complete the previous hscenes, the DLC hscenes will eventually show up. 4. [Q]: STEAM support? [A]: At the moment I don't own the STEAM version so I can't test it and I don't know if it works. If someone can help me I will make an steam support patch, but you would still need the FAKKU 18+ DLC patch. 5. [Q]: Can we see some screenshot/examples of patch? [A]: Because of the nature of the game as being an loli game I can't post pictures because of the policy of the forum. But if someone wants to see the results before buying the actual game I can send you 2 example pictures. Just send a PM and I will reply with those 2 example pictures. Examples of non-loli characters are in the gallery section. 6. [Q] : What was changed in the new Fakku edition? What's the difference between the OLD and NEW download? [A]: Jacob from fakku has a good description -> https://www.fakku.net/forums/games/maitetsu-fixes-and-updates .Everything written in the section "what has not changed" WAS already fixed already by heliosaurus by his patch and the same fix is present in the new "BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch" 7. [Q] Why is there a difference in size between Heliosaurus Restoration patch and "BANDAID removal PATCH + restoration patch" Both patches work perfectly fine and shouldn't have any problems. You can use Heliosaurus on the OLD and NEW version but the BANDAID patch is only for new FAKKU download ONLY. But... the original restoration patch includes fixes which are already fixed in the new version of FAKKU's edition and the BANDAID removal patch just removes this fixes from the PATCH to be less in size. The reason why you could still use the original restoration patch on the old and new version of fakku is that technically the patch is in original form a "patch.xp3" which contains mostly PICTURES! Yes, pictures. And it just replaces those pictures from the original data files which are located in "data.xp3" / "emotedx.xp3", and so on. The KiriKiri engine works like that. When FIRST run, it loads first files from, data.xp3, and all the main xp3, and then LOADS patch.xp3, patch2.xp3, patch3.xp3... and so on. That's why we don't need external programs to patch the original data files, and we can put everything in PATCH.XP3, or PATCH2.XP3, and so on. You can literally replace the whole game with a single PATCH.xp3 file. The restoration patch was made by using resource files from the JAPANESE version and replaces the resource files from the ENGLISH version. So the original restoration patch just OVERWRITES fixes-pictures present in the MAIN game from the NEWEST fakku edition download.... 8.[Q]: That isn't the game we were promised / it is disappointing / don't want to buy the game .... [A]: Well, it isn't a question, I just want to express my opinion... I understand that the release a disappointment, and like everyone, even I would wanted a TOTALLY uncut and uncensored version. I hate the CUTS in western releases, but that was going on for decades not just in VN's look in the old days of SNES games with JRPGS. And in east they get the same results with some western games... Thanks to that, we have two types of ppl - one who are complaining and the the other one who are making uncut/undub/uncensored version of games, from snes to psp/psvita and so on. What I mean is that you shouldn't lose energy in complaining on fakku and denpasoft/sekai, yes even sekai. I understand that sekai don't take releases seriously but at least we got the translated version, whish is a huge WORK. And be thankful, we got "OMG!" Maitetsu! I can't expect newcomers and the ones on fakku to stop complaining ( and I am not saying that you have to start editing, and join the community of moders, but you are always welcome to join ), but at least you at fuwanovel you have no more reasons to complain. At the end you got the complete 1:1 japanese uncut release with english text, and even a little more, with the demosaic patch ( which in the japanese edition they don't have ). .... please ask questions and I will put most common questions and answers here ... 13. Newton and The Apple Tree release had been withheld by Steam for 3 months or so, now it will finally release on the 15th August, still no word on 18+ support as Sol Press is remaining silent on that matter (looks like they really are afraid of Steam using that as an excuse to remove the game). Now another VN who has been the victim of the anti-animu Steam policy where Steam takes months to try and find faults in anything and everything about it, the development of the game has been completed since the beginning of this year, and it has been trying to be approved for release on Steam since March, it's release has since been withheld and still nothing is known about the game release date, one issue that Steam pointed to the dev was over the fact that there is a CG where the protagonist is wearing speedos and a part of his back can be seen: Meanwhile non-anime western games with upfront nudity and gratuitous sex scenes are still on the store, uncensored and uncut. Steam really hates anime don't they? This nonsense reminds me of that Married with Children episode (skip to 12:30 for the relevant part):

Rules of the game: 1. Posts have the following format: VN Title: (One sentence about the VN in spoilered text). Example posts below. 2. Content within spoiler text may spoil any part of the VN mentioned in the title, but not any other VN. 3. Alternatively, you may quote/tag someone else's post and respond to it with more than one sentence. In return, they can quote/tag you back and respond in the same way with multiple sentences. (Like a game of tag, thus the name of game) 4. If you break the rules I will become a ghost and haunt you from beyond the grave.

  17. Writing: 100% Quests: 100% Sprites: 100% CGs: 80% Programming: 90% Screen Editing: 80% Audio: 90% We have made a lot of progress with the screen editing! Only a few scenes of the in-game last week is still in need of more changes. I expect this to be done within this week. Our sketch artist will be delivering two more sketch CGs, afterwards our whole CG pack for the demo will be completed as well. If everything goes well, we expect the demo to be playable within the next week. We’ll give it a few rounds of testing first before releasing it to the public. Meanwhile, more promotional graphics for our Kickstarter will be created. We should meet our end of August / early September deadline very well >w<b Also, another small sneakpeek of the gender selection (that basically decides if this will be played as Otome or BL game xD) Alexis' name will be customizable as well! That’s it for this update! Stay tuned and follow the project on itch.io for the upcoming demo!

  19. I think it was the sexual content that removes titles from the search. Anyways absolutely no reason to use Steam as a shop if they stop you from releasing stuff. Steam gives absolutely nothing for devs unless their game somehow magically becomes a meme among normies. Also fuck off mitch

So there will be no more polls, Well the list as it is works for me (And I suppose for others as well) Im fan of lolis (well , not quite, I was transformed since I played Majikoi S) so that means I like the others chars as well, in fact my fav character are Hachiroku and Makura just for their personalities. By the way, What was the other thing you wanted to ask besides that poll?

  23. I never insinuated any of this, however it is clear that they try not to talk about it at all, I am guessing they won't talk nor mention anything about it until the game releases on the 15th, then at that time they'll just release the patch like if it's the most natural thing in the world, it's all pretty hush-hush, probably because they just don't want to take any risks especially when Steam isn't clear at all about their do's and don'ts policies. I don't get why Americans hate the show, I am guessing it hits too close to home, eh? This show is pretty popular in Germany and France, here's a sample of the german version:

  31. She'd be my second vote after Reina.
    1 point
  32. We can't really read Nagi as unpopular based on this poll. For all we know she could be a close second for most voters meaning in theory she could be more popular than Reina if people could vote for two. Another factor to take into account is that the H scenes are somewhat nukige like. It's entirely possible that people like Nagi as a character and her route without thinking she has the ideal body for H scenes. I'm more surprised that Fukami is as popular as she is while Makura seems to be unwanted. I would have predicted Makura to be more popular in H scenes than Fukami.

  33. Do you guys do your favourite girls first? Weird... I always leave my favourites for last anyway, so when Paulette was announced as the next girl I was conflicted. I guess the fact the votes have come in like an age order listing speaks volumes for the people who are playing this

  34. "Heres something we've already released, but different!" thats how theyre treating denpa. instead of releasing physical copies at the same time as their titles, theyre releasing them later so people whove already bought might be compelled to buy them again when they didnt have the option. its your money so of course i cant stop you but really, sp doesnt care. theyre getting their money, theyll make half ass promises and a small majority is getting screwed by them while they move onto the next project to kickstart and sell. i just cant see them as anything but a dishonest company that takes advantage of their customers.

  35. I actually wish I voted for Nagi instead (can't change my vote), I found her interesting as a character. Granted it might be best to do Nagi and Fukami in the order they appear on the scene viewer, it would be rather weird to do Fukami first plus she has more scenes than Nagi. I already viewed all of Nagi and Fukami's H-scenes. FYI I already finished Maitetsu a couple of weeks ago or so (rated it a 10 on VNDB), I just haven't viewed all of the H-scenes yet also when you finish the Grand Route all H-scenes unlock. I'm going wait until Paulette is completed before I download the patch.

    Haru to Yuki

This is the latest game released by Akabeisoft3, the bastard company made by Akabeisoft2 to take in all the subsidiaries of its parent company other than itself, Applique, and Akatsuki Works. The game was written by Nakajima Taiga, who first made his name as the writer of Dekinai Watashi ga, Kurikaesu and gained yet more fame with the utsuge Inochi no Spare. This game is a nakige, though it is one that leaves a lot more bitter in with the sweet than is normal. It is based in a Japanese inn called Yuki, where ghosts can interact with the physical world in order to complete the desire that keeps them in the world. In order to hide the fact that they are ghosts from the normal customers, the employees wear cosplay to make the unusual or out of season clothing the ghosts are often wearing not stand out. The protagonist, Haruto is the bantou, the male in charge of greeting customers arriving and taking reservations. He has been there for ten years and is seen as a reliable employee by the younger staff. He is very much a workaholic, performing his duties with absolute devotion and no real hesitation... it is just that those duties involve arranging the things that 'non-reservation customers' (the ghosts) need to fulfill their last desires. These desires are often simple things like wanting to say something or leave a message for a loved one, but can also be somewhat crazy things like wanting to get into a swordfight to the death. Haruto takes on all these requests without hesitation or any real emotional disturbance. Nonetheless, he does care. The partings in this game are probably the most vivid aspect... naturally, you come to know the ghosts' stories, and when the time for parting comes, it is always sad, even if you know they are going away happy and satisfied. I cried repeatedly during these scenes. There are four heroines in this game: Neko, the ghost of a girl who wanted to live freely but was unable to when alive; San, a cheery girl who gets along with everyone and enjoys her work; Kohane, a nervous otaku girl whose dream is to become a professional cook; and Sakine, a somewhat gloomy woman in her mid to late twenties who decided to work at the inn on impulse. Neko Neko was the first heroine I pursued, mostly because I have a thing for girls who say ~nyaa. Neko is a seemingly whimsical girl who loves to hang around the protagonist and constantly makes false attempts to play hooky from her work... but never really does so. Her path starts out as a soft romance between two souls with a lot in common... ... but the fact is that Neko is a ghost, and there was no way it was going to have a purely happy ending. Neko's path is full of small happiness and frequent sorrow, and the desire that binds her to the world is heartbreaking in and of itself. I honestly found myself crying for the entirety of the last hour of the path, to the point where I developed a sinus headache. Kohane Kohane is the assistant to Makoto, the fake homosexual cook (the story behind how that happened is hilarious in retrospect but it is part of a sad scene). She is shy and is very negative about herself, but there is enough iron in her core that she has managed to stay for one year under Makoto's extremely harsh tutelage. Kohane is a living heroine (as opposed to Neko, who was a ghost), and her path differs accordingly. Kohane's personal issues were actually fairly interesting... enough so that I was honestly able to empathize with the last scene and cry my eyes out (again). The last scenes in this path are all highly emotional, but there is a lot less bitter in with the sweet than Neko's ending, which feels more bitter. One issue that is common to both this one and Neko's path is that the protagonist's own issues aren't addressed, sadly for him, though it doesn't seem to bother him much (which is understandable once you know about him). It isn't a negative issue, since it makes sense within the context of the story. Sakina Sakina is the only full adult heroine in this VN (by the story, I'm guessing 27 or 28). Having quit her job previous to coming to stay at the inn, she decides to work there soon after the game begins. She is quiet, shy, and a bit gloomy at times. However, she is also kind and thoughtful. Unlike the other heroines, you will only rarely see her smile, but those few smiles are the ones that get you. Sakina's path is... tied up with the protagonist's past. The way this route turns out is different from the previous two (though I can't tell you why without spoiling), but it was interesting in and of itself. I didn't end up crying my way through the whole later part of the game, but the ending was uplifting and bright. San San is the game's central heroine. Her personality is bright and sunny, generous and giving by nature with a strong spirit. San is a student as well as one of the inn's hostesses (a job shared by Neko and Sakina), and her favored cosplay are a dog-girl, a maid, and a new wafuu (Japanese style) idol. Her path, like many central heroine paths, is the only one where all the major character issues are resolved (though only speculatively based on the epilogue in a few cases), and it is also the only one where the protagonist's own major issue is resolved. Like Neko's path, this one is very bittersweet, and like many cases in this VN, the partings here had me in tears for long periods of time, leading to sinus headaches (this game took me longer than it would have otherwise because I kept having to stop playing after I cried myself into a headache). I will say that I consider the ending to be a happy one, but, thinking of how San had to feel in the time between the ending and the epilogue breaks my heart even now... Overall Overall, this is an excellent nakige by a writer who seems to be able to write across all the genres and involving characters of all types and ages. For those who want a lot of catharsis, this is a great choice, but be prepared for a bit more 'bitter' in with the 'sweet' than is normal with a nakige (though it is still a nakige, rather than an utsuge). Despite my remarks on how bittersweet this game is as a whole, it should be noted that the atmosphere at Yuki, the ryokan (Japanese-style inn) that serves the setting, is very warm, welcoming, and downright familial to the point that I found myself wanting to jump into the game and stay a night there. I liked all the characters, including the side-ones, like Sentarou (the night security guard and exorcist that bears a passing resemblance to Archer from FSN), Toki (the century and a half hold ghost owner of the inn), and Makoto (the macho fake homosexual head cook). This isn't a kamige, though I'm tempted to call it one based on my general level of satisfaction, but it comes pretty damned close.
