  3. I know that I'm going to derail from the main thread (sorry for doing this, Thyndd), but I really would like to ask @Clephas something about his post: How is your friend living out his hobby/coexisting his otaku side with his family and his life in general? The reason for my question is that, frankly speaking, I live in a country not that developed toward otaku stuff in general (the south regions, in which I live, are even more ignorant on this matter). As a result, most of the people here hide the fact of liking anime/manga or any videogame which is not soccer or FPS related (because here, if it's not soccer or a shooter game, everything else is "crap for children"). This holds extremely true for my generation and similar (I'm almost 30), which forced me to hide my hobby till this day. This goes without saying that is very stressful, and unable to show others my tastes without being finger pointed.

  5. I will not sell myself in order to be together with other people. If people demand something I don't agree with, then screw them. Life is too short to waste it pleasing somebody who aren't even friendly towards you. I will rather have no contact with people than having contact with the wrong people. This has given me problems multiple times, particularly from bully leaders in school when they couldn't control me. However I will have to add that this doesn't mean that I have no contact with the outside world. There are actually some people worth knowing.

  7. I completely agree with what you're saying Kyousuke. I'm also of a similar age (32) and there's no way I can discuss with others about my hobbies without being labelled as weird. That said I believe it's all about your environment and the people that surround you. During my first (and only) research assistant position I found that I could talk to colleagues about these things; although many of my colleagues at the time we're Chinese. Since I had to give up my ambition of a lectureship (due to an unplanned pregnancy) and move into the defence industry for a permanent job there's just no way I can discuss these hobbies with anyone anymore; and I find that unbelievably crushing. Like you said if it's football or rugby then there's conversation, everything else just raises eyebrows.

  11. Oh man, this is going to cause such a long shitstorm, for what I apologize. Let's see, where to start... A few months ago I came across a youtube video of a self-proclaimed japanese culture expert and divulgator psychologist. In this video he made a bunch of claims about japanese society and people who like japanese media (he was especifically referring to anime and manga, but due to the very similar trends and topics I consider it also applies to VNs) tending to be more "immature" (whatever that means, which I'll discuss later) and idealizing childhood, a nostalgic period to which they desperately want to go back. I'm not going to provide an actual link to the video for various reasons: It's not even in English, so most of you wouldn't understand it anyway. I don't know if the community guidelines in fuwanovel would even allow the publicity, and what's more, I don't have a reason to advertise a content I consider poor on so many levels. He didn't provide any evidence for his claims in the form of any sociological study I mean, he's a psychologist... ehem so nothing there is worth more than your average middle-aged oji-san's opinion that you might find in the middle of the street. For all these and much more, I'll try to give you a quick overview in a nutshell on his "arguments". It goes like this (warning: the amount of bullshit you will find here reaches toxic levels. Reader discretion is advised): "Japanese society lives in a state of perpetual reverie and denial due to their defeat during WWII, which left them with a grave inferiority complex and the perception that they are at the mercy of EEUU. This caused a generalised depression that led to japanese people undergoing the loss of all sense of self-worth and autonomy, accepting being subjugated to EEUU like a kid is subjugated to their parent's commands." "This reflects in japanese media in the form of a tendency for very young characters to which they can relate and the image of the adult like that mature person (otona), a fount of infinite wisdom, who follows blindly the role society assigns them and thus is a model for our young main characters." "Westerners who like japanese media tend to share this Peter Pan syndrome with japanese people. They are essentially manchildren that negate their age and responsabilites and take shelter in the world of japanese fiction, so well suited for them." And that would be essentially it. To be honest, when I first watched his video I laughed it off and thought that this fucker just read too much Freud. It's the same kind of bullshit that you find in psycho-analysis, where you have a bunch of hypothesis with no evidence whatsoever that just sound somewhat appealing and you are told to believe because they came from the mind of a self-called intelligent person. I thought that most of us are way past that crap and quickly dismissed the topic. And to the present day, I still think that it is bullshit. So why am I losing my time writing this? Well, you know that feeling when you learn a word that you never heard before, and thereafter you seem to hear the freaking word all the time? It's an effect of being more attentive to it. Likewise, I became more sensitive to this topic after watching that video, and since then I've been noticing an extended idea among people that indeed japanese media enthusiast, or "otakus", call it as you want, have a childish mentality. And you must be thinking... "wow, this dude discovered f***** America". Yeah right, it doesn't particularly come off as a surprise that there are a lot of prejudices against this hobby. The main reason I want to write about this is a little more subtle. I've been noticing that the "manchild" epithet is given in a condescending way even among anime and manga fans (VN is such a niche genre that I think there is barely any room for it for the time being) to discredit other people's opinions and tastes on the subject. Wow, elitist being assholes, breaking news, I know. But you know, in spite of me being a really obstinate person, I also like to leave room for someone's arguments to change my mind or make me look at things from another angle. Plus, they say that there is no smoke without fire, so I would like to discuss how much reality there is to this what with it being a prejudice held not only by the unversed opinionated masses but even within the community itself. First, let's address what it means to be "immature", "childish", a "childman". Definitions are always arbitrary and oftentimes confusing, so I always like to begin a discussion getting the definitions out of the way in the most clear way possible first. When I hear "childish" referred to a person, the word evoke the meaning of "person who share the common personality traits of most children" for me. And what would that be? Well, children tend to be carefree and selfish in nature, as a result of not yet knowing the hardships of life and not being aware of the consequences of their actions, for which they are not willing to accept any responsability, thus being dumped on their parents instead. By this definition, someone cannot be called "childish" on the only basis of their pastimes or passions. The gist of the question is whether there is or is not a correlation (not causation) between childish people and japanese popular media fans. And if there is, then it would mean that there are some features in this media that turn out to be appealing for this kind of people. This brings us back to the words of our good freudian psychologist and "japanese culture expert", whose statements I'll try to refute (at least those unrelated with WWII and all the nonsense not worth the effort). He claims that immature people feel attracted to japanese media because of the prominence of young characters they can relate to. I'm not denying the fact that that prominence is very much real, though of course it also depends on the genre. What I think he's missing here are the actual reasons why and the themes these kind of works usually deal with. As for the reasons of this abundance of young characters, the obvious one is that most of these works are targeted at a young audience, while trying to make it enjoyable for all publics. It's important to keep in mind that anime and manga is, at least as a popular phenomenon, a relatively young one. Most of the fans are still young. But for me, the most relevant reason is embedded in the true nature of japanese society (and not all the crap he pulled out of his ass). If you pay attention, the most frequent period during which most anime and manga are set in is the last years of high-school. And if you think about it, it makes perfect sense, since it makes for a really handy narrative device. No matter where you are from, those ages are where you become the person you will be during all your life. It's a period of change, and also a period of difficult choices, your ACTUAL first difficult choices as a new-born adult. What you usually see in these works is not a bratty teenager without a care in the world that get away with that attitude at the end (something more frequent, incidentally, in american teenage fiction, if I'm allowed to say it). Instead, what it all usually comes down to is to learning to be critical with oneself, facing your responsibilities and becoming an overall responsible and decent person who will be productive when integrated to society. And this last part, this "integration to society" is so fundamental in the japanese mindset, that I believe that is the reason why we get so many school life related works. Japanese mentality is extremely communal: the well-being of the community comes first as a priority than your own interests. Every new piece to be integrated into this machine needs to be polished and have the social awareness that is expected from it. You tell me, how is this not contradictory with the childish mentality that I described above? Like, they are total opposites. I seriously doubt that childish people would enjoy most of these works where the reality of the world, the fact that you must accept your coming to age and face your responsabilities are thrown so blatantly to your face. And that's pretty much everything I wanted to say. If you've made it this far, congratulations I'm aware that asking for an opinion here might be like asking your grandma to confirm that you are the most handsome person in the country, but anyway, let's try to be critical about it and get to the bottom of this. I would love to read your thoughts on the topic.

    HELP!!

Ever17 is quite easily spoilable too. Plus Fate, I guess, considering how popular it is, though for it the spoilers aren't that important, it works even if you spoil everything. Well, technically there is an old Mangagamer translation, the one I read (which happened before the current translation was announced, from what I know). Though I definitely wouldn't recommend reading it now, considering that a much better translation is currently in the works.

Danganronpa. Don't even try to type a characters' name, google will probably suggest "character A death/execution". The main culprit was spoiled for me with fanarts alone, when I barely knew what the game was about... I didn't even went looking for it and it found the way to me... I'm playing 2 right now and as much as I tried to avoid spoilers like the plague, I ended up seeing like 4 spoilers, dammit. None as big as the one for 1 tho. Maybe because 2 doesn't have an anime.

For those who are interested, here is the first real comedy VN of the year... The protagonist, Takuma, having returned to his hometown to live alone in his family's old house, finds that it has collapsed in on itself, and, desperate for a place to stay, ends up staying at the homes of his four childhood friends (osananajimi). This leads to various hilarious antics and situations, with most of the heroines being 'ponkotsu' types (meaning that they are the kind of girls no sane man would want as a girlfriend if he knew their real personality). First is Kyou, the 'older sister' of the group... to be blunt, she is the single laziest human being I've ever seen in a VN. She and her mother are the type that seek marriage solely so that their husband can feed them, clean up after them, and support them financially. If she tries to cook, explosions ensue; she won't even consider doing laundry; and her room looks like mine did in middle school (I never really did see the point of putting things away back then, lol). Incidentally, don't expect any of this to change (the heroines are fundamentally ponkotsu types from beginning to end). Second is Hiyori, the blonde idiot daughter of the owner of a cafe that specializes in Japanese sweets and teas. She is air-headed, clingy, and she has a tendency to do stupid things just because she feels like it. Worse, her mother, a widow, takes aim on Takuma almost from the moment of his arrival. The third is Ayaka... Ayaka, when compared to her family, is a quite normal girl. However, with an OCD mother who thinks men are filthy pathogens, a little sister who is yandere over Ayaka herself, a little brother who is addicted to masturbation, and an overprotective father... that really isn't saying much. In reality, she has a strong interest in sexual matters, wants Takuma to be her oniichan, and is very much a schemer/manipulator by nature. The fourth girl is Rito, the childhood friend that Takuma used to think was a guy. This leads to an immediate argument, of course, but she quickly turns into a clingy, emotionally dependent girl who alternates between aggressively seeking Takuma's affections and snarling viciously at anyone who gets in the way. With that particular cast of characters and a protagonist who tends to want to turn everything into a joke himself, you have a recipe for a first-class comedy game. Of course, most of it is boke-tsukkomi (manzai) type humor, save for the fact that all the characters are running jokes in and of themselves. There are no real serious points in this VN, and the only time the story actually feels romantic is during Rito's path... and that actually made it the least enjoyable of the four main paths. There are also three endings other than those of the four main heroines... a 3P ending with the yandere imouto, an extra ending with Nanako (the girl who steals Takuma's food all the time), and a 'normal ending' that probably would have ended up as a yaoi ending in some other games, lol. Overall, I left this VN feeling laughed out. I probably won't replay it, because I don't imagine it would be funny twice, but I honestly enjoyed it for what it was... an excuse to break out into real-life laughter to the point where my throat and head started to hurt worse than they already are (I have the flu right now, yaaay!).

  17. He has set up his 'personal room' at the house he is renting for his otaku stuff. His wife isn't an otaku, but she is understanding of his need to watch anime for ten hours a week in order to remain sane. Also, some of the other staffers at the embassy are light or medium otakus, so he has people to chat with irl, apparently.

  18. I'm not sure it's your location or age, which really matters here. Once you reached a certain age (teens?), watching anime is seen as weird and childish more or less regardless of where you are, including Japan. Not being interested in (insert local sport) is apparently really bad everywhere. I have taken some flaming for that from peers and teachers for that one alone. As I wrote earlier: This sentence can be applied to everything you mention. In fact it can be applied to more or less everything. I wonder if stressful is the right word, but I guess it depends on the person and the surroundings. Some are more prone to stress than others and the risk of being discovered varies greatly. If you are the sort of person who wants to be nude in the living room with hentai on the big screen, then it could be stressful if you have to hope no family member will come home earlier than usual. If you can somehow be sure not to be interrupted, then the stress from risk of discovery should be minimal. To me, stress isn't really an issue. What matters more is that it's annoying not to have anybody to talk to. In a way it's comparable with hikikomori despite the fact that I do have face to face contact with other people, usually for hours each day. Fuwa helps in this regard, though oddly enough I have a tendency to feel left out here as well. People mention some awesome VNs/animes and it's not uncommon that I have no interest in those. At first I took what I could get, but now I have apparently become quite picky about what contents I spend time on.

  26. Yuzuyuzuyuzuyuzuyuzuyuzuyuz's "big backstory"-moment was kind of weird. Like, there was no setup for Yeah, that was kind of strange, especially when in Rina's story all of that flowed way more natural. But in the end, it's one 10 minute scene after 8 hours of lovey-dovey sugary romance so I won't remember that as a big dealbreaker. Also, I have to give Smee credit for what I call "putting all the money on screen". Giving you the choice of hairstyle for multiple characters and having them swap outfits for every date, while applying those customizations to the CGs too is not cheap and not easy to do. I vividly remember how Sakura Spirit couldn't even bother to make new sprites for the kimono-festival scene (I'm not sure if it was, but I wouldn't be surprised if that scene was actually called "kimono-festival"-scene in the script), leading to the main characters holding invisible weapons. Paying artists (or a sweatshop full with children) ain't cheap, so probs to Fureraba. EDIT: Misaki is a precious cinnamon bun and needs to be loved.

  27. Well shoot, my classmates were morons in that case. They didn't even know anything about sex. They just bragged about it like most teen bros did at that age. So in health class we dedicated half a semester to teaching about safe sex in ninth grade. Tests, quizzes, videos, demonstrations, and yes, a project. My class did it all. It was all part of the anatomy section. Hell I even learn about female genital mutilation. (Off topic, but still kinda messed up) Before that, in 7th and 8th grade we had monthly 90 minute seminars where leaders of the neighborhood would hold forums for both girls and boys about teen sex. The leader would stop class to bring in all the bros from all the classes to sit down with a bro who got a chick prego, or got an STI etc. They did the same with the girls in their presentations. 6th Grade sex ed was a joke, a complete joke like you mentioned Zalor. But, however it was effective. Why? Because it got us actually talking about it. Before that, sex is was a complete mystery to me as a kid. When I learned of the word "virgin", from one of my idiot friends fourth grade. They told me it meant that someone who just haven't did "it" What was "it"? They couldn't say. Because they either didn't know or they didn't want to get in trouble. Those who spoke of the s-word got suspended or got detention. They would say that it'll be on your permanent record. Some even got expelled for saying that they did it with girl X. I recommend teaching them at 12 years of age like me with "good sex education''. Which is rather "Thorough sex education."

  28. Damn. You gave it the same rating as me in the end. Dies Irae is truly a masterpiece in VNs and everybody should at least play it to experience it and form their own opinions. The battles are fantastic, the scale of the story is engrossing, the characters are all fleshed out and really enjoyable to read, and the plot overall, while not the most complicated thing ever, is just so goddamn well executed. I wish I could gush about Dies for a while longer, but this isn't the place to do it.

I've just finished Rea's route. Boy, what a ride it has been. I've never felt this emotional since I last read Muv Luv Alternative; damn I even nearly teared up towards the end of the game. If Marie's route was epic, Rea's route was godly. Never in my whole vn reading experience had I ever witnessed such powerful battle scenes; it's truly a clash of the gods. Dies Irae is very similar to Fate Stay Night in so many ways, the first being its battle royale theme and the second being its characters sharing similar traits: Ren wielding Marie is like Shirou wielding Saber; Kei is like Rin (the tsundere rival teaching the protagonist the basics and somehow ends up falling for him); Tubal Cain is like Berserker (the uncontrollable beast); Trifa is like Kirei (the fake priest); and Reinhard is like Gilgamesh (the guy who thinks he's almighty and all). Perhaps that's why I had such high expectations for this vn, so when I finished Kasumi's route, I couldn't help but feel disappointed, since it didn't feel like the full story was being told. Then I went on to Kei's route but there were still quite some things I couldn't quite understand. It wasn't until Marie's route that I started to feel that Dies Irae would be a 9/10 worthy type of vn (at least for me) and finishing Rea's route just a few minutes ago has pretty much solidified this feeling. Words can't even describe how much I enjoyed reading Dies Irae - I think I may have a new outright 2nd favorite now.

  30. Well many things in Japan don't make sense to be honest. For instance they have long work hours even though too long work hours ends up hurting productivity as the people become less productive as they are tired and start slowing down their work. These long work hours also make it so that maintaining a well functioning family is nearly impossible which is likely why the birthrates are dropping as fast as they are. This means that their long work hours seems to only be destuctive yet they haven't changed it. I generally blame the school system in Japan as they only use multiple choice as tests and rarely or never have to actually think for themselves on the tests or actually write anything of substance. To my understanding the mentality in Japan is pretty much just trust the people in politics and the people who are leaders and never think about it yourself. The people that end up as leaders often aren't that smart either since they have gone through the same bad school system and therefore they end up with laws and norms that are stupid and they never really seem to actively try to fix problems. So what I am saying is that the school system in Japan is creating a general population that aren't politically active or aware and it creates politicians that don't think about things and just do things the way they have been handles so far because it is "the correct way". While the laws and norms can be traced back in history and are due to anti sex/anti porn sentiment I think better school systems would have made it likely that they would have changed it once they saw how problematic the lack of sex ed is.

Finished Marie's route in Dies Irae and can't help but feel awed by it. Kasumi's route and Kei's route were pretty good but Marie's route is on a whole new level. If I am to compare Dies Irae to Fate Stay Night, Kasumi's route and Kei's route would be like Fate and Marie's route would be like Unlimited Blade Works. I have a feeling that the final route (Rea's route) will be like Heaven's Feel but we'll see.

  32. It will look good on your resume, especially if it's part of a language immersion thing, like studying French in Luxembourg. It depends on what you're studying like if it's business, then it will look sexy to have "international experience". For example, like if you worked as an finance intern at Japanese bank, while there you managed portfolio worth quite a bit of money. You are being immersed in the language and culture. I know it's a shot in the dark, but I am legit curious if someone happens to know how @Aaaeru is holding up these days. Because her account is deleted, all that's left are the posts she was in and even those are buried too deep in these forums. Thus leaving her with a sense of mystique. Maybe someone can came around and say something interesting. Who knows?

Picked up, or rather finally started Ace Attorney trilogy on my 3DS. Finished the first game, in the middle of Ep1 of the 2nd game, which is atm a shame because i expected Phoenix to start off veteran pro but nooo gotta blank slate him i guess for tutorial purposes? idk how long it will last but pls Pretty fun, I always enjoy doing them active mystery solvings <- hardcore Danganronpa fan Cases did an overall good job of integrating all the characters involved- everyone feels important- and making you care for finding the truth -things get pretty srs- Ema > Maya pls Minor complaint is if you're marathoning the game, 3 investigative days on top of 3 trial days per episode can make things feel tedious. i hear the 2nd game does 2days/2trials so we'll see if i like it or not Enjoyed the 2000s 8bit Gameboy Advance Capcom musics or whatevers, reminded me of Capcom's other Megaman Battle Network BGMs I did use a walkthrough towards the end srryz, mainly for the investigations cuz it's like where the fk do i go next and what the hell do i have to show to the next prick in order to progress >< Miles Edgeworth image was unfortunately ruined because I knew @Mr Poltroon for like 3 years prior now and that's all who i could think whenever Edgey came on screen is friggen' Teegan from Versailles ._.

  34. People who follow their hobbies obsessively are often seen as eccentric or childish... but immaturity is relative. One of my best rl friends is a heavy-duty otaku with a family who works in the embassy of a certain African nation (though, because of that I haven't seen him in years). I know plenty of people who are serious and live fulfilled lives around me who also happen to be otakus... and if you don't seem childish while indulging your hobbies, they probably aren't a hobby. That is because a hobby is something you are supposed to take joy in pursuing, as opposed to working at. That said... in any community, a certain percentage of those involved are going to be immature trolls (trolls being immature by definition). I won't deny that some people, excluding myself of course *bats his eyes innocently* have made decisions others might consider... immature. However, there is no absolute definition of maturity, beyond the ability to rationally make your own decisions based on what you want from life and be capable of rational discussion with people who disagree with you... or at least avoid exploding in their faces.

  35. I see a pattern in this and it's more general than what it seems at first glance. It's about the classic "you have to think like me". There are plenty of examples of this. It's very clear in politics where you can be called deplorable for just disagreeing on which politician to vote for. There are however lots of examples unrelated to politics. Few examples related to psychology. Introvert vs Extrovert While introverts have a high degree of "other people can do as they like", extroverts have a tendency to expect other people to act extroverted and they announce whenever they think somebody doesn't behave according to "extrovert guidelines". If a person have no interest in being the center of attention at a party or even showing up, that person is declared to be a loser. The same goes for a person with too few friends because apparently having 1000 friends on FB is a goal in itself. Introverts tend to care less for how cloth looks, but wearing something, which was the fashion 10 years ago is so not accepted by some other people. Asperger syndrome This diagnosis is likely to be removed in the next revision of official diagnoses due to being applied to people it was never intended for. However if we look at the core criteria for this diagnosis, it aims towards people (primarily children), which are different. On top of usually being introverts, they don't like crowded places like schools, mainly due to the noise level. They have a tendency to have a major interest, which they like to study, usually alone. This interest can be anything, but is often mechanical in nature (trains is a common interest). They don't mind studying insignificant details for hours and they build up a wast knowledge of the area and you can ask them anything and they usually remember. The problem with this description is that particularly the interest part of it fits most engineers, which has given it the nickname "the engineering disease". Most engineers tend to like studying "insignificant details", like engine parts, software algorithms, math problems etc. All those problems seems to be unimportant to psychologists, which by now has labeled them as deviation from perfection. One example would be Joseph Whitworth. He became obsessed with measuring small distances and in 1840 he achieved being able to measure a millionth of an inch. Just wanting to measure something too small to be seen provides a not insignificant score on the AS scale. He then proceeded to make a standard for screws, which made them interchangeable and it's this thing, which allows you to go to the hardware store and buy screws and bolts and know they fit whatever you need just by reading the numbers on the box. He also started making guns where barrel and bullet fits in size, making them long range and accurate enough to allow aiming in a way we understand as aiming. Somebody else quickly took his method of measuring and applied to it making cylinders and pistons for steam engines. This almost eliminated the problem of leaking steam around the pistons, which made them a lot more fuel efficient. This in turn changed railroads from something in coal field areas to a global thing because now they were beating horses in operation costs even in countries without coal. The importance of Joseph Whitworth is likely not possible to over estimate (but have you even heard of him? I didn't in school). The reason why I bring him up here is because if he had been born today, he would have been labeled as Asperger and put in counseling and possibly medication to make him normal. He would need protection against his own weird ideas. There is no room for being different anymore. Einstein has been labeled with Asperger, though luckily not until long after his death, meaning it didn't cause him any problems. Anime/VN/Japan I see little difference in this. There is some guy, who doesn't understand and doesn't try to understand what he is talking about and then he flames people for having interests, which are different from his interests. That he brings up childish as a psychologist (if he is that) is interesting because according to psychology, there are 3 categories: child, adult, parent and each person consist of something from each. Since only the child is able to have fun, people with little or no score in child aren't able to have fun at all. In order to be happy, it's important to have a non-insignificant score in child while at the same time it should not over shadow the others as that would make the person irresponsible. I wouldn't call it childish to follow orders. In fact it's actually a grown up thing to do. For instance there is a law stating that cars should drive on the right side of the road (or left depending on where you are). A child would go "me first, me not listen" and go everywhere while grown ups will understand that it's part of a greater plan to avoid traffic jams. You become one piece in a giant puzzle and you understand that it is in the interest of everybody including yourself that all pieces match perfectly. Another example would be to obey queues when going through a door. If you want to skip ahead in the queue, you risk ending up in a jam because too many people are in the door at once. The talk about Japan and WW2 makes no sense whatsoever. If true, then explain why what he claims to be a result of losing WW2 was present even more strongly in the 1930s than it is today. I wouldn't put too much into "somebody on the internet" flaming people out of ignorance and intolerance. The people he talks about do exist, but he puts it in way too general terms. Going back to the car example, it would be like saying people drive cars because they want to drive around a block repeatably honking the horn to annoy somebody. It has likely happened in rare cases, but it's not a general trait of car owners.

  36. Conditions like heavy depression or schizoprenia are a "delightful" mix of symptoms. Weariness (even if not elicited by traceable causes) is a common byproduct of depression, it's commonly told how the patient stays in bed during long periods of time, feels drained, and so on. With schizophrenia you have the "lovely" antipsychotics, which aren't religiously used willingly by patients anyway. Those bring their own problems, but at least you shake off the worst.

  37. Unfortunately I know way too well that mental condition. Once you reach that point, everything lose its value in your eyes, you feel extremely tired, without being able to even fight for your own dreams and aspirations; the only thing you do is "living" by the day (and I was extremely generous by using the word "living").

  38. Hmmm, well, let me give you a wild card. Read the fourth chapter of higuarashi, Himatsubushi-hen Lemme explain why, it's a prequel to the other three and it's oddly light-hearted (compared to the rest of the chapters). A quicker read than the other three. Arguably, the lightest horror imaginable with adorable looking characters especially everyone's favorite Rika-chan. It has some slice of life elements until the mystery begins.

  39. So conservative family values are teenage pregnancies. Got it. There are almost 50 posts, many of them with various degree of facts. You have to be more specific. If you are asking me about my posts specifically, then yes what I have written is to the best of my knowledge true. Indeed it is and so is it for males. On top of extreme pain, bleeding for days, risk of completely destroying the penis, there is a risk of infection. The survival rate is not 100%. Assuming everything goes according to the plan, it will result in a grown up penis head, which has lost sensitivity. To compensate for this, the movement during intercourse have to be way more powerful. Women are build for the force normally used by a penis protected by foreskin, meaning when exposed to the forces without it, it actually hurts. This mean removing the foreskin from a young boy will over time inflict pain to one or more women repeatably. There are plenty of sources against doing stuff to females, but way less regarding males, which is why I decided to write about males here.
