  1. It's that time again! As we've done in the past every so often we post an invite for our server so that those who wish to join our now over one year old server can do so. While we're well aware we are not the "Official Fuwanovel Server", there are still reasons to join our "niche server" (now boasting almost a hundred members!). Our amazing logo made by @Arcadeotic <3 Link: https://discord.gg/wU3M6u6 Reasons to join this server Where to start?? 1) We're a more laid back community (Vn talks, animu talks and so on) 2) Occasional voice chats 3) A karaoke every so often (sometimes weekly, sometimes monthly, depends on demand) 4) A privately hosted Nadeko bot so we have flowers (gamble responsibly, don't be like @Kiriririri) But it's not enough to convince you just by telling you about it, right? Well here's some interactions to expect: - We've got Brits! - We've got edge! - We've got depression! - But we also have love This group is run by @Arcadeotic and Myself as it was born from one of our old pm groups on Fuwanovel so you can feel at home! 4. Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the VN I've been working on with some friends. After that, i wanted to share the peculiar history behind the development, as we've had many questions that can only be answered by asking you directly. It is important to us that you give us your feedback, whether you like the project or not (especially if you don't!): “Rejoice, brothers and sisters, for The Answer has been proclaimed. Blessed be those who know how to listen.” -Nova City foundation chronicles In a world torn apart by crisis, war and hunger, our old leaders faced a dilemma: either find an answer to the conflict or leave humanity to its imminent destruction. They chose the answer. But this answer was not found, it was built. Nova City, humanity´s new hope Nova City is a vibrant symbol of hope and progress. It stands over the ruins of the war-torn world we left behind. Bursting with life and commerce, it seems unthinkable that the city itself is also a massive computer built to house “The Answer”: a system created to govern in the most rational and optimized way, excluding humanity from the exercise of political power. The Answer has brought prosperity to Nova City, and its citizens have lived devoid of major conflicts for over two centuries. Inside an apartment of this city, you wake up to find a tarot card that someone must have slipped under your door. The message is clear: The Fortune Teller has chosen you as the next victim. Afraid to leave your apartment, you rush to your computer to make a call that will change the lives of many people (or even end them) as the delicate balance of power in the city begins to shift. Embark on this noir tale of mystery and intrigue that will pit humanity’s reason against our own inevitable emotional nature. Game & Features From the start, you have locked yourself in your apartment to hide from the serial killer called "The Fortune Teller". In such a predicament, you’ll be interacting with Nova City and its people through your computer’s screen. From your computer, you’ll be able to make calls, tap into people’s phones and gain access to confidential information. You’ll also be able to hack into security systems in order to, for example, tail someone through traffic light’s camera feeds. During the course of the story, you’ll be able to create alliances with Nova City’s most important factions, gaining powerful friends (and enemies) in the process. Hacklist is currently being developed for PC/Mac. Features: Emotion Compass: Allows you to see how people feel, and how their emotional state changes as you touch certain topics. This will allow you to call bluffs, understand people better, push them to act in certain ways or set the mood for intimate conversations. Profiler: You'll have access to police reports for everyone you speak to. The profiler updates itself as new events unfold, and will give you some insights and hints about your contact's personality, letting you know how people may react differently to the same emotions. Hacklist also presents some new mechanics to the usual VN structure in the form of Apps you can use at any time during your experience: Skall: A videochat app where most dialogues/scenes will happen. Watermelon News: A social network where you'll be able to read people's posts and Nova City News. Remote.hack: Access networks, hack into security cameras, tap phones, and get into other people's computers to reveal their darkest secrets. The story behind the story... (and how your opinion will decide the changes we'll make) So! We're a team of 6 living and working in Caracas, Venezuela. This is a project born a couple of years ago in a itch.io game jam, back when it looked like this: (and yep... that's me!) After the jam, the project leads wanted to continue the project. I couldn't at that time because of my job, so they formed Caustic Games to do it. That's how the second version of Hacklist was born. It was a much more polished product, and it had a new cyberpunk/vaporwave style. This version was approved on Square Enix Collective, where you can still play the demo. (That's Kentai on the center. They grow up so fast! *sniff*) (A screenshot of our pseudo-antagonist Clive Jackson. Remember the name, we'll come back to him in a bit!) The campaign was successful, and we received a lot of feedback that helped us detect some flaws we had. Around this time, 2 of the main artists left the project, and the remaining artist and myself (i had just joined the team) couldn't accurately replicate the previous artist's style, so we were forced to abandon a style we liked in favor of making a new one that we could handle better. Eventually, we rewrote the whole story, keeping the same characters and archetypes mostly intact. But this story was to be set in a futuristic utopia, rather than the bleak future from the previous cyberpunk setting. After some time, we decided that a futuristic Art Deco setting was perfect for the mood of future, progress and empowerment we wanted Nova City to irradiate. ...And then we hit a pretty hard roadblock: none of the characters we were designing were aesthetically cohesive with either the tone and setting, or the environment itself. So we started to make some tests on styles for the characters... ...then we made some more... ...and MORE... We finally set out to define the style and technique we would have for the in-game art, and it went down to these three versions of Clive Jackson (the guy i told you to remember from the previous version!): Aaaand that's where we stand now! we decided internally to go with the third option, as we felt the technique blended better with the background and the character was designed to resemble an Art Deco statue, from the volumetrization to the edgy style from illustrations of the 1920's, 30's and 40's. The thing is, we kind of went open minded about changing the anime style to something that better reflected the world where the story is taking place, but none of us has seen more than a handful of non-anime visual novels, and have no idea if this art style is actually appealing or if it is, on the contrary, something that would disuade readers. Here's where you come into play! We need your feedback and opinion about the project, as asking you guys directly is the only possible way for us to know we're on the right track. We would love it if you took the time to watch the concepts, mockups and screens and tell us, honestly, which images do you find more appealing, and if the current state of art style is something you might want to see in a VN. Do you think non-anime style in VNs is something detrimental? or do you think it-s a welcome change of routine? Please let us know what you think! Thank you for reading through the end! Anything you can comment on the project is a HUGE help for us! -Jorge Veloso AKA "Vel", Artist at Caustic Games Our Team Hacklist on Facebook VNDB entry still in progress...

    Chuuni Hime no Teikoku

Now, this is one of those games where the Getchu description and the one on the site don't represent the reality. First, this game is a straight-out comedy. The protagonist is a 'classic baka', a character who is easily distracted, daydreams about convenient scenarios with cute females, and generally makes trouble without meaning to. Because of his perspective, the game is pretty high pace (and not really in a good way). The heroines include: Chuuni Hime- A real princess from another world who is the master of the renovated love hotel that is the central stage for the story. She is apparently a genius and a great leader... but you would never be able to tell that from the pictures of her daily life. She is a heavy gamer (doesn't leave her room for days at a time), and she has little interest in fulfilling her stated purpose for coming to Earth. She has a real name, but nobody uses it. Lagunaseca- Chuuni Hime's dark elven maid. She is a workaholic. Seriously, that is literally the entirety of her personality. Her only reason for living is to give of herself to others, so she is literally incapable of considering a life outside of service. She works several part-time jobs to feed the princess, and she only sleeps three hours a day. Stella- Stella is a rather naive young knight from the same world as Chuuni Hime and in her direct service. She was raised on stories of female knights being raped by tentacles and orcs, along with falls into pleasure and mind break, and as a result, she is extremely... weak. She is terrible with a sword... so much so that she is liable to trip over it when she tries to draw it out. Since she came to Earth, she has become a light novel author, and when her editor gets onto her, she locks herself in a defunct fridge. Suzuka- The only earthling amongst the heroines (ironically so) and the protagonist's childhood friend. She has a terrible case of chuunibyou (think wearing a black cape in summer and transforming her room into an alchemist's workshop), and... that is about the entirety of her personality. Unless you get on her route, she is almost a non-entity throughout the game. I'm going to be blunt... this game actually starts out fairly well, but as a whole, it is very... not worth the money I put down for it. The first reason is the writing. For some reason, this writer fails utterly to do anything other than the comedy right. Even momentarily serious or romantic scenes flop (at least partly because Masaki doesn't have the brains to carry those scenes off right) badly, and because of that, it becomes hard to even enjoy the humorous scenes. The second reason is the artwork. I'm going to be blunt... this game's CG's and sprites are very... low budget. It isn't noticeable for a non-art-bigot such as myself at first, but it became bloody obvious when it came to the h-scenes and the few scenes granted a CG. If this game had been made in 2008, I probably wouldn't have noticed anything wrong, but for a game that is being sold at right about the average price for a VN on today's commercial market, that is a huge downer. The third, and probably the most fatal reason, is the music and voice acting. The soundtrack for this game is... terrible. However, that could be forgiven if it weren't for the unusual fact that this game's makers managed to botch the voice-acting. Most of the voices in this game are horrible, with the notable exceptions of Chuuni Hime and Suzuka. I'm going to be blunt... considering how long ago they announced this game, it is ridiculous that this low level of quality in an area where the industry standard is about as level as it is possible for what is essentially an 'art' can even exist. All of the VAs are established names, so it is silly to make excuses about the quality of the actors. No, this had to be a massive direction and/or production failure. My conclusion is that, while the concept wasn't bad, the execution for this game was downright horrible.

  9. A lot of developers don't really see the value of getting involved in a community. A lot of them don't do much in the way of marketing, even. It takes a few games--if you last that long--before you realize that it's a privilege to be able to create and have people give you their attention. People respond well to mutual respect and grace. Poor thing really did mess up here. Not only did they get a lot of negative attention, but they also missed out on one of the great VN communities available to them.

    dropping for now: IxShe Tell

I honestly normally wouldn't bother explaining why I choose not to play a given VN in a given month, but with Hooksoft games, given their rather high popularity, there is a real need for me to say something. First, I don't like Hooksoft games. They are written well, are visually pretty, and generally have moe-stimulating heroines. However, they are also perfect examples of every reason I can find not to bother with the genre at times. The characters are cute, there is plenty of ichaicha and slice of life... and the protagonists, no matter their role, are always just 'normal guys'. This game, in particular, managed to make me lose interest inside the prologue, where most VNs manage to catch my interest. The simple reason is that the protagonist's accomplishments have already occurred in the past, and all that is left is for him to literally pick one of the girls from his harem of the school's best beauties. To me, this felt right off the bat like a cheap excuse to avoid relationship formation issues. Within the first thirty minutes, all of the girls have confessed their love to him, on one level or another, and he is put into the position of picking one of them. I'm going to say this straight out... I loathe this pattern. If they'd gone through the student council election campaign in the prologue and hit this in the first or second chapter, I probably woold have been willing to forgive a lot more, but the decision to start in the middle of things was a seriously poor one in this case. As such, I absolutely had to drop this one, as it kept putting me to sleep.

  11. Introduction Welcome, fellow Fuwamembers, to the FuwaRecognition thread. Starting this March, we’ll be highlighting some of the best contributions made by our members each month. From snazzy blog articles to delicious forum threads, and perhaps even a few things more on the shitpost part of the spectrum, we'll keep an eye out for the cream of the crop. And then we'll gather them here. Just for you. *holds up giant APPLAUSE sign* A-hem, so this is the first time we're doing this and it might be a bit rough; next time will be at the end of March. Anyways; without further ado, let's get to our highlights. By @Zakamutt. Threads Our first highlight on threads comes from two Ask Me Anything topics posted in the span of this month: from our dear provisional Tay, @Kaguya, and from the anti-moege task force founder himself, the saltlord himself @VirginSmasher. It’s now Kags’ fifth year on these dear forums, and members of new ’n old had a lot of questions, climbing over to 50 comments, almost unheard of in this day and age of lacklustre forum interaction. Even after the glory days of lolis long passed, Kaguya still swears close to his heart how they indeed are the master-race that rule over this weeb-dom, mostly in nukige form. Charming. @VirginSmasher’s AMA, on the other hand, is mostly an appreciation of past glory and his good friends, met before he died out, but he also remembered some newer members who are already becoming an integral part of these forums of today. Quite a lot of internal banter and jokes flew here and there, but it is quite touching to see even older members returning from long breaks of apparent irremovable death. As you might have seen, we have a new EVN on the horizon, or rather, KickStarter: One Last Crane, developed by @Blissful-Works This visual novel is being developed by an Indonesian team with some members over at Tokyo, Japan, and it has a an odd goal amount of 10,052 dollars, though this is due the publicization of the project being handled from Japan, which also makes the whole project page ask all money in yens. A risky play, let’s see if it pays out for them. The novel is planned on being released for four languages: English, Japanese, Chinese, and Indonesian. Quite the amount for still quite a small goal, but we’ll have to see how it pans out in the end, at least they are in no shortage of ambition. While the art-style itself is quite generic, it does look modern and does its job as presentation well enough, not to mention that the KickStarter page itself is quite stylish, but only time will tell how it’ll go over. All we can do is wait. @EastCoastDrifter has done something unique on the forums that no one would even think of. He loves space, and he has extended his love to the members of the Fuwanovel community by creating a Fuwanovel Solar System. Using a program called Space Engine, Drifter has taken the liberty to name all planets in this system after very prominent Fuwamembers. It’s a great tribute to the community and you should really check it out. Furthermore, Drifter says he’s not done, and has plans to create more Fuwa solar systems to feature more members in the future. If you want a planet named after you, feel free to post in the linked thread or contact Drifter personally. By @Arcadeotic and @EastCoastDrifter. Blogs Hi I'm Zaka and I'm the only one that cares about blogs on the team. Maybe. I didn't actually ask the other guys. Shit. So uhh, here's my recs... @Clephas writes accessibly about (for the most part) untranslated Japanese visual novels. This time, we have some posts about the recently released third VN in the Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru series, of which the first actually has a translation by MangaGamer. Unfortunately, the second is where people think it actually got good. We start with a more general note on the series, then move on to a review of Otoboku 3 itself. While Clephas has been writing for quite a while, @MaggieROBOT is a bit newer to the scene. She focuses on Otome and BL VNs, and for this post we'd like to show you her post on an upcoming BL visual novel (fresh from the pot, baby. That thing is probably the first blog post to come right after this one. Oh yeah. That's how we roll. - Kaguya) as well as her review of the robot-romance Otome VN Sakuya. Go ahead and look for her post complaining about a trap in a moege not having a route if you like things on the more humorous side of the spectrum Just For Fun! During the process of writing this post. Well you know I’m all about that nepotism baby. That's right, this is just for you. Rising 1.8% female readership (thanks Maggie) local GM and blog post connoisseur Kaguya here. To close the blog review section up, we’ll be highlighting the post where I wonderfully delve into the mind of writer Setoguchi Ren’ya, explaining his past and his involvements with the little-known work The Shawshank Redemption as well as how that work affected the VN industry, finishing things with a bang as I explain his history and the hidden messages within Swan Song. And finishing things off in a suitable grand scale, much like a writer who traps himself into writing continuously larger powerlevels until his shounen manga gets to a point where it doesn't even resemble the original, we will be looking at two posts made by Fuwanovel's current closest figure to Jesus, @Kiriririri (Who unlike our creator, did revive. How about that?) He died for our sins as he bravely made two deep posts about the current state of the VN community that were completely hidden by the evil staff... Until now. Gaze upon them and marvel, this is the true work of a genius!! February is over. We bled. We sweat. Friendships were broken and renewed, and old members revived from their graves and mingled with the new pringles to take us where we are now. And the community persists, as glorious as ever. March is here. And in this rewind, I declare FebruaryFuwa absolutely Fabulous!

  12. Visual Novel Translation Status (03/04/2018) As for the title, since we have two eccentric VNs from Sekai at this week, I just combined both of 'Creature Romance' and 'Girl in Glasses' into 'Meganekko Romance' (TL Note: Meganekko literally mean Girls in Glasses). Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and compared to the last week we didn't have many interesting release (Other than those two Sekai VN that I mentioned), but of course we still have some updates for this week like usual with some surprise. Now let's see what I could write for this week as well. As for the surprise update, we finally have JAST ready for another VN release. Although unfortunately it wasn't Flowers Summer though, so I'm more or less just think not much about that ie not interested. The VN in question was Sweet Home, and from the record apparently it's already in process for years since when it picked up back at 2013 - at least it only took almost 5 years to be released lol. From the premise, we have MC who back to his house because his old apartment was burnt, only to find out that his house was became the girls boarding house. Long story short, the MC who is an university student managed to stay and his house and get steamy with the girls as well. Yeah this is nukige all right, and that's another reason of why I didn't interested with the release - JAST usual release pattern didn't help at all. At least they also already did have the exact date for the release, which is at May 1st later - also ready for pre order as well. From Sekai, once again we have both Creature Romance and Girls in Glasses released. As for my comment at least the latter (Girls in Glasses) was more in line with normal VN, even though the girls were wearing the glasses (Duh). While for the former (Creature Romance), what I can say is that maybe it could be appealing for the people who somehow managed to develop a fetish to grasshopper, because our main heroine was looks like a grasshopper only that it's a human size as well - to each of their own I suppose. There's also another update from Sekai in which at least they managed to address the untranslated text problem from Tokeijikake, which at least it good that Sekai try to be responsible about their mistake. Apparently there's a bug that still persist in the new engine that caused the problem, so obviously I would suggest Sekai to do another QC before the release. Although apparently they ignore that bug though back when it was reported by their QC staff, so I don't know what to say. I just hope that they won't repeat that mistake in the future for both of Daybreak and Morning Mist. As for Frontwing's Momoclo KS, right now they managed to gather 25,918 out of necessary 35,000 funds or in percentage it would be Momoclo was at 74% funded with 17 days left, so at least it goes well for now. For Newton VN, right now common route was at 89% translated and Haru's route was fully translated (Lavi's route was fully edited as well), and fir the next plan they'll work on Emmy's route. Other than both of Momoclo KS and Newton VN, we have Nekonyan announced the exact release date for Fureraba which is at 30th later and coincidentally it will be at Good Friday, so at least we can treat Fureraba release as the Easter gift from Nekonyan. There's also another surprise from NekoNyan, in which they'll also translated the fandisc as well and it'll be available at this year as well (They'll give it for free to anyone else who buy Fureraba from NekoNyan's site). For more information, other than NekoNyan's site Fureraba will also available at both of Nutaku and Fakku while unfortunately there's still no Steam release at the same time. The reason was because of Germany bureaucracy according to NekoNyan post (Understandable), and therefore Fureraba Steam release will be delayed for a few weeks. For fan translation, right now Eustia was at 35.23% translation and 22.87% TLC-ed - they finally begin with Colette's arc work with the current progress for that arc was at 4.56% translated. For more roundup we have Loverable was at past three quarter (75.33%) TLC-ed, Musumaker was at 49.6% translated, Shin Koihime Musou was at 92% translated along with 19% edited, Pure Pure was at 63.19% translated with Chapter 4 was at 39.44% translated, Tsukiotoshi was at a quarter translated, and Witch Garden was at 39% translated. As for Tsujidou, right now Renna's route was at 72.1% translated and overall was at 93.57% translated - for the info Trip was quite busy for last two weeks, so the progress didn't increase much. Other than usual updates, there's another VN that have was translated recently (Also about to be release at around this month) and that VN is nukige pseudo NTR or something like that - I just realized the project today lol. We also have another update from LxC 2, in which Quof was mostly finished with Hime's route but unfortunately right now he need to do programming work for Hime's patch, so the translation for next route will be stalled. For the last update, we have surprise Nanatsuiro Drop partial patch release which translate the first two episodes of common route, which obviously is a very small part of the VN itself. Go get the patch at Doki Fansub, and for my personal comment I hope that they'll manage to fully translate Natsuiro later. That's all for this week VNTS Review from mine, and see you next week.

  13. Goddamn. It took me over 2 and a half years to get to this mark after taking 5 months to get to 1000. Well, I guess I'll explain my story on this site again for all of those people who didn't recognize me from my early days. I arrived on this site in October of 2015 as a guy who didn't have any clue about the community in general. Over time, I posted way too much for any normal human being and that caused me to be recruited by former shitposter @Dergonu and along with the now forum-dead NTR queen @CeruleanGamer, we formed this spammer group and it's grown into a public Discord since that PM group was formed back in January of 2016. Along the way, I grew more elitist and cynical for the VN community and this was mainly triggered by Noble Works, the worst VN to ever be read by human eyes. Then I left for like 2 years from this site as it was becoming quite dead, at least to me. I came back and started posting again in January of this year and hopefully, I stick around to shitpost/give my opinions to others for a while longer. Now time to be an annoyance and mention random people I like (in a hetero way). @Dergonu - You may be a nazi mod now, but I still remember when you were a spammer just like me. Keep being shitty with your taste for me. @DarkZedge - We basically don't agree on anything besides Kara no Shoujo, but you're still a cool neko lover and you're just as cynical as me, so that's good. @Arcadeotic - The original serious poster. I still can't forgive you for ruining Gahkthun for me, but I still expect an overly semi-serious post about this. @Kawasumi - Trap lover, trap in general, and a person with good taste in VNs. @HMN - The best male alive. Glad to have you in the Anti Moege Task Force and as a fellow Kyonyuucon. @Kiriririri - The worst taste in this community. Keep that in your moemory. Just kidding, good luck on your fruitless mod quest. @AaronIsCrunchy - My favourite british metalhead, even if I have no clue what your taste in VNs is at this point. @Flutterz - The second best thing about the Fuwachat, compared to DemonSabre. @Funnerific - You may not like a lot of my favourite VNs, but we can relate in G-Senjou no Maou, so that's good enough. @Zakamutt - A fellow elitist and hater of most translations. Finish Himawari already. @greenshadow622 - You and I were allies in the headpat bans of 2017 and we will forever be bonded by that. @Nintaidou - Thank you for showing me all of those kyonyuu nukige. They were...appreciated. @madvanced - Fellow portuguese man, so that's enough to be cool with you. I have no clue about anything else though, besides that you meme. @Forgetful Frank - Here's some advice for life. Actually finish a VN before picking up 3 more. It'll help you to like certain VNs more. @Ayana - The guy with the most similar taste to mine. Shame you can't be online to talk more often, but the conversations are pretty cool. @Asonn - My favourite toddlercon and hater of most VNs. @Barry Benson - My favourite spanish bee. It's always fun shitting on TL companies and shitposting together. Also, I'm pretty sure you have 18 weeks to TL Tenkiame now. @Kaguya - My favourite mod currently. I don't agree with a lot of your philosophies, but I can at least understand them. Plus, having a conversation with you leads to...interesting things happening. @SpinningShiat - You're gay. (This is what you wanted, right?) Finally, I'll mention all the new people who I'm not entirely familiar with on this site since I left. People like @Thatcomicguy, @Zander, @Plk_Lesiak, @MaggieROBOT, @Ranzo, @Dreamysyu, and others. I'll recruit you guys into my spammer cult eventually. And that's all from me today. Just a reminder that you can ask me anything or roast me or whatever you want to do on this post. Here's to reaching 2000 posts in a reasonable amount of time.

  21. https://myanimelist.net/anime/37021/Iya_na_Kao_sare_nagara_Opantsu_Misete_Moraitai [I Want You To Make a Disgusted Face and Show Me Your Underwear] While browsing mal I came across this, the description on the announcement says: "Drawn by 40-hara, the series depicts various situations where maids, high school girls, nurses, shrine maidens show their panties with a look of disdain." , that's it. From what i gather, its not a h-anime.

  33. Haven't posted to this thread in quite a while, so I've got a pretty long list to run down... My Work Outaku Friend (hereafter "my wof") recommended me Blend S, so I watched it. An impressively average show. Previously he recommended Restaurant to Another World, so I assumed he at least had similar tastes to mine, but I am now reconsidering. I shall henceforth be taking my wof's recommendations with a grain of salt. I watched Your Name (I'm not putting the stupid period at the end) with some friends. It was about as good as people have been saying; I enjoyed it quite a bit. The subs had their moments, but they were pretty mediocre for such a high-profile release, so I wish I'd been able to convince folks to watch the dub. At least then we presumably wouldn't have had to deal with untranslated pronouns which left at least one member of the audience with no idea what was going on (among other problems...). Ugh. I've been steadily going through Monogatari Second Season, and am now in the middle of Koimonogatari. I didn't care for Nekomonogatari Black, but everything since then has been absolute genius; I enjoyed Nise and Bake quite a bit, but season two is on a whole other level. This show is mind-numbingly good. Also, I can't get Nadeko Medusa's OP song out of my head; what an earworm. Meanwhile, Koimonogatari's OP video is batshit crazy and I love it (and the same could be said of episode one of Koimonogatar; wow). Speaking of subs, this show's are godawful, which is particularly depressing given how much of the show revolves around dialogue and characterization. Screw Aniplex and their almost-always-terrible translation quality at an absurd price point. At least it still looks jaw-dropping. Last but definitely not least, I'm about halfway through Recovery of an MMO Junkie. For obvious reasons, it reminds me of Welcome to the NHK (which I loved) but much more lighthearted; it's got that same "hitting a little too close to home" feel which pulled me into NHK quickly, but without some of the queasiness NHK induced (which ultimately was what made NHK into an outstanding show, for me). At any rate, I like soft-hitting sweet romcoms too, so I'm enjoying it a lot and expect to give it a high rating when I'm done, assuming it gets a sufficiently conclusive ending. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go revel in the rest of Koimonogatari.
