Hey guys, UnusuallyNormal here. I'm now about 3 years into VNs, I came to this forum a few times before and follow the Weekly TL Updates. I actually didn't have much interest, but some years ago I watched like 3 animes that the protagonist or a main character was a big fan of VNs and decided to try it out. I started with Fate/Stay Night and G-senjou no Maou and I liked them very much. Recently I reading/playing(I don't know which to type in this case) comedy and romance genres and I can't wait for JAST USA Majikoi's(one of my favorite series so far) release. I'm about 2 years learning Japanese and right now I'm in a level that I can understand thing pretty well. Obviously I'm not a pro, but I can manega to read a VN and understand it(though I check the dictionary a lot). Right now my Japanese classes are in a break because too many people in my class gave up and now I have to wait a new class to open(merging the remaining scattered classes), but that's only going to happen in March. As I don't want to forget stuff, I thought it would be a good idea to try helping to translate VNs as it would also help me study. I decided to start somewhere between small and decent, like a interface translation to with Sono Kojou ni Yuusha Hou Ari!, as I like softhouse chara's titles. Big mistake, the tools people used to use on softhouse chara's Bunny Black doesn't work anymore as they are using an ".afg" file that no one(that I found) knows how to reverse-engineer it. So I tried other titles of other producers using asmodeus' tools, but I had no idea how to use them and found no tutorials(not that I searched that long). So now I am offering to help to translate(keep in my my limitations as I never seriously translated anything for others before). Sorry for the long introduction. Thanks for reading.

like the title says, i wanna know what are some of the craziest synopsis youve read for a nukige. im talking like softhouse seal type level of synopsis. So some of you may have already knew I was doing something, but now I want to say what exactly it will be. My project is called "The Heroines." Set in a southern state in the US. The story will follow 17 year old Jon adjusting to life in a new city. On his first few days attending the school he ends up meeting a group of remarkable girls. All of which have superpowers. Jons life just gets more complicated as he deals with living in a new home, high school, and his relationship with the girls. Plus he has to help them overcome a greater challenge. I had started this idea since spring last year and I'm still working on it. There'll be 8 routes (including the prologue and last route). Possibly h-scenes. Will be a free game (hence why I called it a passion project). Oh, and it will have a comic book look to it. c: In one way or another I will do it.

Thats the title I'm going with. And it sounds like it but thats the best I could do to describe it. I assure its gonna be way better. The Marvel universe has inspired parts of this VN project.

It's called gambling and chance. For instance, a 5 star may have a 1% chance to get in pull but that does not, in any way mean that you will get a 5 star in 100 pulls. Some moments are just really lucky. Like How I've gotten a few 5 stars on tickets myself, yet can go more than 1000sq (which is 333 pulls btw, I should have been given at least 3 5 star servant) without a SINGLE 5 star servant OR 4 star servant. Luck of the draw.

Oh here's a good one it kind of has everything you could expect, and more! Jewel Knights - Crusaders You are Ginji, a Japanese youth whose two hobbies are girls and getting into fights. One night, while walking in a dark alley, he comes across three beautiful females wearing bizarre outfits battling monsters from another dimension. Against his better judgement, he gets involved in the battle, and before he knows it, he's flat on his back. Waking up in the hospital, he's surprised to see one of the girls there: she'd brought him to the hospital after he was injured. The girl introduces herself as Yuki Meno, and tells Ginji an interesting secret: with her two friends Ruri and Hisui, she is a member of a group dedicated to defending peace and justice, called the Jewel Knights, which fights the evil organization Ragnarokkr. What a surprising turn of events! Ginji isn't really interested in battling evil -- he'd much rather try to get into the pants of Yuki, Ruri and Hisui. The three then learn something interesting: Shinji's incessant sexual come-ons act as "power ups" for the three heroines, allowing them to increase their skills. They could use someone like him on the Jewel Knights, but he'll only join the group on one condition -- that the girls let him use their bodies for sex. Who will win out, Ginji or the Jewel Knights? Of course, while they don't want to be used like that, but they're secretly happy that Ginji is going to be fighting evil with them after all...

Oh she is going to be the protagonist? I didn't really know that. I knew she was going to be in the next game but I didn't know she was going to be the lead. Yeah I'm really excited about it as well. Well with Erika in it there is probably going to be a lot less sweat and blush involved so that is something to look forward to.

That is ... not impossible, but it's unlikely. Most of these companies don't do the English versions in-house. They let their US publishing partners take care of it. In fact, we've seen the results of Japanese companies going it alone. They tend not to be able to judge how good a translation is themselves, so they tend to hire really bad translators. The results tend to be things like Libra, or early MangaGamer translations. Edit: Besides, a censored game just happened to be published by the only major player known for censoring things. Personally, I think that's good enough. I'm assuming Nutaku probably did it on that basis. I'm not willing to extend them the benefit of the doubt. Sure, we don't have proof. The evidence still points in their direction. I mean, Nutaku hasn't even denied being responsible. If they were to issue an official statement which said "we did not request these changes, the original licensor wanted them" then that would be different. (Nutaku has a reputation for being dishonest, so I might not believe them. But a denial would definitely make me more likely to give them the benefit of the doubt.)

I finished Kurugaya's route, that was... quite something to say the least... league better than komari, like not even close, okay I got to admit that until now this vn was funny for the most part but right now this vn got me by the balls, I was starting to think I was way to overhyped but now I think it might actually deliver edit: rin beat sassassassasssami for the first time and I got an item... hilarious

No. While everyone involved bears some blame, Nutaku probably bears the brunt of it. Likely all the licensor did wrong was pick the wrong localizer. For two reasons: 1) Nutaku has pulled similar stunts before. In fact, they got caught censoring a game, then used the DMCA to take down articles criticizing them over it. After this, they said they planned to censor less. They also committed to being open and fully disclosing whenever they think they have to censor something. See here and here (around the 10 min mark). For this reason alone, Nutaku deserves flak, either for incompetence (announcing a game is censored really isn't a hard commitment to live up to), or for deliberately lying. 2) Let's consider the field of Nutaku competitors here. Jast USA. I seem to recall Jast actually did the virgin blood thing once. I think in addition to XC3's loli problems, some blood was also censored. That was a long time ago, and it seems like Peter actually learned his lesson from the ensuing uproar. As for traps, Jast USA localized two full-on BL VNs. I'm fairly confident Jast wouldn't demand/make either change. MangaGamer. Some MG titles have a fair amount of virgin blood. They seem fine with it. As for traps, they've yet to do a game with a trap 'heroine'. But they've done a trap protag and a reverse trap. They've also done well with BL titles; with otome titles; and with their one GxB title (so far). I can't see MangaGamer making either of those changes, either. Denpasoft. I've never heard of Denpasoft ever censoring anything. And SP/Denpasoft had that gender bender BL title they tried to Kickstart. Sure, it didn't work. But they tried. I can't see any of these three companies making either of these changes. All three of the big names probably would have left well enough alone. But if you believe that, doesn't that basically mean that the only reason the game ended up censored was because it was released by Nutaku? Which would indeed make it their fault.

Well, I made Dergonu years ago. I have absolutely no idea what it means I'm sure I had something cool in mind when I made it though!

The "Soulless" comes from my precieved lack of persona. I have always been one to actively avoid people, even in my kiddie years, so I feel that I lack a "self" that is developed by interacting with others. The "Watcher" is also very related to my issues with interacting with others. Even when I am in a group, such as a group project or work, I feel isolated from others like I'm watching them through a TV screen and I'm not actually next to them.

What matters is not the effect we have on the world we all share. What matters is creating a difference in the personal worlds of those who you care about.

Don't feel like Fuwa is as warm a place as it was before. Through perhaps the last 1-1.5 years, with the departure of many beloved members, it's started to feel like Fuwa's slowly losing what held it together as a community.
