  1. This is a relative stinker of a season and mostly it's old shows that are worth watching. Considering how much anime I watch, this is the fewest shows I've been watching in about half a dozen years which is bad. Here's what's left after just one week:

Arte (TV) - kind of interesting, harmless, nothing exciting but a nice filler

Ascendance of a Bookworm (TV 2) - Sequel, enjoyed the first season and happy for more. Quality seems to be maintained so far.

A Certain Scientific Railgun T (TV 3) - Sequel of a sequel of a sequel. Nothing wrong here (unlike Index 3).

Fruits Basket 2nd Season (TV) - Sequel of a remake. Very much looking forward to what was never completed first time around of this heartwarming story.

Gleipnir (TV) - Mildly interesting and melodramatic in the extreme and drags shit out. Not sure I'll last out the entire seasonn

Listeners (TV) - Interesting plot and very cute heroine but cheap looking 3D animation

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (TV) - Amusing alternative take on Isekai

Princess Connect! Re:Dive (TV) - Yeah not sure why but it survived me watching the first episode, but will probably be dropped

Sing "Yesterday" for Me (TV) - Interesting drama romance with mature adults, if a little depressing it is still interesting.

Tower of God (TV) - Battle royale for the season. Probably drop it.

Tsugumomo2 (TV 2) - Ecchi hijinks sequel with almost no meaningful plot to speak of.

Shokugeki(TV 5) - Another sequel of low budget pans, wipes, and zooms and very little animation, but can we just get on with the Erina x Souma romance already? Kinda bored of the foodgasms now.

    Still waiting on:

Re: Zero S2. Despite its flaws, Re: Zero is an entertaining watch and I'm interested to see (what happens to Rem.)

Oregairu S3 - most anticipated anime of the last few years for me. Delaying it is killing me, but it's given me time to rewatch S1 and S2.

All in all, no real new stand out gems at all. If I was to recommend anything new this season, it would be Sing Yesterday and My Next Life as a Villainess. Cue up those sequels if you've been watching them though.

From what I've been told, Nukitashi 2 is basically your standard fandisc experience for a game that doesn't make a lick of sense.  Just ask @ittakuwhat he thought of it if you want to know.

#2 is not exactly my favourite game nor sequel, and... I wouldn't translate it. Probably having a route of sorts for the best subheroine from the first is its best feature.

  3. It took me years to figure out why I found romance in movies and anime unfulfilling no matter how well fleshed out the courtship, confession, and couple evolution was until I encountered H scenes in VNs. It's the ultimate consummation of a real human relationship and pretending it doesn't exist when it is literally the reason we exist as a species and a story ending without you seeing it will be low level depressing and frustrating. Once I've gotten to love a heroine, I only feel satisfied if I get to H her in the story, and then I can put that story and heroine to bed (heh) and feel fully satisfied. Most western audiences wouldn't understand though, even though most of us will end up fucking someone in our lives, but that's more a function of the long-standing censorship and shame our culture has associated with sex.

Clover Day's official release, and by NekoNyan? Yaaaaay! That's probably one of the greatest translation news for me. (although I've been getting ready to read it in JP already ;) )

If I'm reading things correctly, this release will be based on FanTL by @astro and @ittaku, right?

That's correct, though astro has distanced himself from the project and his components (and one other translator's) have been retranslated, so it's just based on my translation.

Huh, you don't see very many comedies with satisfying endings these days. How was that?

Yes it's unusual isn't it? Unlike most comedies there is a weak plot/storyline throughout Saiki K and the manga author was dead set on finishing it. After the main seasons, there were a couple of OVAs and just now they released a 6 episode short season to complete the story. I was sad to see this hilarious comedy end, but I do feel like the author said their piece and completed the story in a way that said adding anything more would be forcing it.

  6. Okay it looks like I missed a few, and some just happened to finish recently, or I only recently watched them to move them to my list. The good news is there are quite a few to add to the list. Here's what I came up with.

A place further than the universe.

    Angelic Layer

    Assassination Classroom

(The) Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

    Hanasaku Iroha

    Hi Score Girl

    New Game!

    Nodame Cantabile

O Maidens in Your Savage Season

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai

    Re:CREATORS

    Sakura quest

    Ushio & Tora

    Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid

So, has it been this long since you've gotten a satisfying ending, or are you not posting here anymore? I was digging around the anime forum to reference your list, and I was a little surprised to see it was pushed to page 2. D:

Not much of late, lemme go back over the last year and I'll add if there was anything. Here's hoping this decade will finally see the end of the unresolved harems.

Asenheim's site is unofficial, their releases are in the grey area (since games are obviously abandonware). The only completely legal Asenheim's remakes are those available from JAST's site - this made them official.

So I guess after this new official rerelease they might be made to take down True Love from their site (or not, since probably nobody cares anyway).

That makes sense. I've modified my post to remove the link to it then as well. Still how much are they charging for this on steam? It should be a $1 release.

  9. Was my introduction to dating sims and then VNs. I played this about when it came out in '98. Still have very fond memories of it, and the heroines in it, but seriously why rerelease it? It should be in the public domain instead. If you haven't played it before, grab a walkthrough and play it through to see how it was done well back then.

The thing is, the game is freely available online I believe ~legally already at the asenheim project.
