Well, i have some free time, so i decided to talk about visual novels, especially Heroines, in 99% of VNs, the heroines are ALL virgin, even if some of them have unnatural libido, so, what do you think about that? do heroines ALWAYS have to be virgin? voice your opinion. Also, virgin sex is supposed to be romantic but sloppy and probably not very visually attractive. It also tends to be rather painful for a lot of girls so there's that too. I think it won't go anywhere though, since I believe it represents the 'perfect romance' (aka marrying your first love/highschool sweetheart etc...). Spoilers, I guess? During the Fate route, she is obviously quite knowledgeable about sex, and even instructs Shirou and helps things get going between him and Saber. However, in Unlimited Blade Works, she's a shy virgin in her own h-scene, which completely contradicts her behavior in Fate. I mean, sure, I guess you could say that it's different this time because it involves only her, but she has a completely different attitude towards sex in the two routes, and they both start from the same point in time, which makes pretty much no sense at all. Having a feeling of "perfect romance", as Tyrael put it, is important for some people. And trust me guys, nobody wants realistic virgin sex h-scenes. Unless you're part of the rape-crowd, but that's an entirely different horse.Hot virgin sex is like exploding gasoline in movies. Just accept it. What I do dislike however, is that the common romance author doesn't seem to believe that a general audience can accept true love as true love, if the female character already plowed someone else. That unfortunately rarifies a lot of possibly really good plot ideas. Ideas like:- Ex-girlfriend romance = Okay, that only counts to 50%, but I'm still really intrigued by this kind of story. Makes for good drama.- Widow romance = The girl's previous lover died and the protagonist has to fill a gap. ( ) Expect the drama to be teary.- "I always liked you, but you never made a move so I fucked your best friend/brother/dad"-romance = Despite the shortage of words, very self-explanatory. Once again, makes for good drama.- "My sweetheart got raped and we try to deal with that"-story = Very dark and out of place in cutesy moege, I know. but every story can be interesting as long as it goes along with the tone.
