  1. Hello everyone We are a new indie game development studio that is launching a Kickstarter for our first visual novel: Analog Fantasy! Please check it out here: [link] This is a small preview of what the characters will look like: Some of the game art: More information and images can be found on the campaign page: [link] We'd be happy to answer any questions here !
  2. RockTheClockGaming, an independent game company of two, Caty Herndon and Marty Duff, presents to you, its first game, The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot! We've been working hard at this game for almost 2 years now and we're still not done! So please keep in mind that everything you see here may change in the future. The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot, is an exciting point and click adventure game where you search for clues, question witnesses, and put together the facts to figure out who dun it! In addition to this, it is also a visual novel with a rich story driven by the ever optimistic protagonist Grace Sinclair! Available for PC, Linux, and Mac. Download here!!! Please Support Us Here: Kickstarter Trailer Synopsis Grace Sinclair is a less than stellar student. In fact, she’s flunked out of her high school at 20 years old! That’s not even the worst of her problems. When she gets home later that day, her dad kicks her out! Now starving and homeless, our hero bravely steals a snack from the convenience store on the other side of town. Just then, a masked man comes in! He holds up the store, waving a gun around and demands for all the money in the register or there’ll be consequences. The police show up and out of luck, Grace is able to help them find out the identity of the robber. The head detective, Delilah Araceli, is so impressed she offers Grace a job. Feeling that this may be her chance to make a true difference in the world, she accepts the job! The only problem is, Grace does NOT have good reasoning skills and on top of that has a condition where she faints at the sight of blood! As you progress through the story, it’s up to Grace to solve cases from homicide to domestic abuse to the legends of the mysterious and murderous serial killer known only as “The Banshee”. All while she’s hiding her secret from her quirky co-workers, who I remind you are DETECTIVES, or else she’ll end up back on the streets! She’ll have to solve her hardest case yet when she faces, The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot. Here's what other people thought of our game when they play tested it! Characters Grace Sinclair Very optimistic, caring, and naive. She’s terrible at English (held back twice because of reading problems and started school a year late). Absolutely, adores her dad and takes care of him when he has episodes of intense depression. Faints at the sight of blood. Lem Yasui Very perceptive and sarcastic. He finds others in awkward or uncomfortable situations funny, and takes great enjoyment in placing them there though he’d never do anything to cause others harm. Has a lot of confidence and this can sometimes lead him to do odd things that he is convinced is normal such as ride elevators with his back turned to the door. He is also not very good at expressing his feelings or hearing feelings from others and can be rightly classified as a tsundere. Delilah Araceli Smart, clever, beautiful, and kind. Though she is intelligent and fun to be around, she is unaware of these qualities and as a result is self doubting and socially awkward. She believes that using the younger generation’s lingo will make her seem younger and more attractive but often comes off as trying too hard. George Poppell Family-oriented, can’t talk enough about his kids. Even carries around their sonograms and birth certificates. He’s not very social, and usually declares dramatic statements incorrectly when excited. For example, when he proposed to his wife, he told her he was having heart failure. When she insisted on bringing him to the hospital, he frantically apologized and said he meant that she had stolen his heart and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Bernard Bejerot At his job, Bernard is very enthusiastic and no rule is too small to break. Off the clock, he is very endearing and kind. He cries at every movie where a county law is broken. He can’t get angry without tearing up and sincerely believes world peace can be achieved. Game Mechanics Finding Clues The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot isn't about clicking everything on the screen hoping you'll find everything. When you search for clues, everything that Grace thinks is important to the case will light up! This is done when you scroll your mouse over an important item. Everything you find is kept in the little evidence folder in the top left corner. Blood Meter Not all evidence is pretty. Sometimes they're covered in blood! Since Grace faints at the sight of blood, she can only look at 4 bloody items before passing out! It's up to you to decide which pieces of evidence will help your case or drive you around in circles! Don't worry though, the game will ask you whether or not you want to look at an item if it has blood on it. Questioning Witnesses Questioning witnesses is an important way to find clues and catch the villain! If you play good cop, some witnesses may feel comfortable opening up to you, but other witnesses will use it as a chance to take advantage of you and completely ignore your questions! If you play bad cop, some witnesses may feel scared and completely gush all the juicy details of the case! But! Other witnesses will get offended and not want to speak with you! It's up to you to figure out what kind of personality your witness has and what kinds of things you'll have to say to make them talk! If you don’t get any information out of your witness, the case will be that much harder to solve! Please support us here! Our Development Blog: https://thecoldcaseofnoellabejerot.wordpress.com Our free demo comes out this December so please follow us here so you don't miss its big release! 3. Hey everyone! I made a post here a while back about a Kinetic Visual Novel series I'm working on called Viridescent Dragon. A few days ago I released the third chapter of my visual novel on itch.io, gamejolt and indiedb. I used Ren'py and it's available on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android devices. Official Website: http://viridescentdragon.weebly.com/ Here's the general story: After waking up in a forest, meet Charlotte, the smack-talking, amnesic dragon girl who travels with her friends on a quest to regain her memories... Who is she and where did she really come from? The journey won't be easy, as she will have to conquer many obstacles and find out the hidden truths about the world she travels through, the friends she makes, the reigning monarchs, and the deities that are worshiped... Thank you very much for checking out my game! Please be sure to leave feedback as I would love to hear from you! Also be sure to share with your friends!
  4. Panzer Hearts is a visual novel filled with romance and adventure. The setting is an alternative WW2 where the Third Reich is replaced with a war mongering “Empire” that is terrorizing its neighbors. The Empire has been in existence for a long time and it’s architecture and mythology combine European and ancient Egyptian themes into a unique concoction. The young men and women born and raised in the Empire see the war of aggression as justified. In our protagonist’s case, a chain of events and a cry from his past make him question his loyalty and his side on the conflict. The game contains a minigame where the player gets to build WW2 tanks. In Panzer Hearts you take the role of a young soldier, Bastian. Wounded in battle, Bastian gets a second chance to serve the Empire in a factory producing tanks. Some of the people in the factory are linked to Bastian’s past and some to his future. They say love is blind, but in this case love and where it leads our young protagonist can completely change his future and the course of the war. Progress 78/100 % We are developing our character art from Western Cartoon style to Anime style! Otherwise the game is pretty closed to finished! Staff or Team Members We are three friens from Helsinki, Finland (Europe). Also we have support members all over the world (U.S.A, Brazil, Russia...). Please consider helping us on social media. It would help tremendously! <3 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/panzerhearts/ Tube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3LM74CiiWragQduYU-OEbA Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/panzerhearts/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/PanzerHearts <3 THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST in Panzer Hearts! <

  6. Hi there! I'm developing my first ever visual novel called The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot. It's a detective story about a girl named Grace Sinclair who gets kicked out of high school, kicked out of her house, and wanders the streets in search of a home. Things start to look up when she gets offered a job as a detective! The only problem is... how can a girl who faints at the sight of blood solve murder cases? If that sounds interesting, feel free to look at exclusive sneak peak into the actual writing of the game here: https://thecoldcaseofnoellabejerot.wordpress.com/2017/09/27/short-excerpt That's a pretty basic of the synopsis I have on the story. Here's a more detailed version of the story here: Grace Sinclair is a less than stellar student. In fact, she’s flunked out of her high school at 20 years old! That’s not even the worst of her problems. Her dad kicks her out, and now starving and homeless, our hero bravely steals a snack from the convenience store on the other side of town. All while she’s hiding her secret from her quirky co-workers, who I remind you are DETECTIVES, before she ends up back on the street! She’ll have to solve her hardest case yet when she faces, The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot. You'll meet some interesting characters that I will be posting about next week on my wordpress. I post a blog every Wednesday. Next Wednesday, is the start of character spotlights, so you won't want to miss it! Please feel free to check it out here: https://thecoldcaseofnoellabejerot.wordpress.com For more real time updates on the development of the game, I post them here: https://twitter.com/CCNBdev I would love to here feedback on your thoughts about the story! Our demo will be released late November/early December!

  8. Hello, we are Broken Hammer Games. Our current project in development is: All is Fair in Dust and Air. VNdb: https://vndb.org/v21699 We are originally a fan team, turned indie developer who has a contract with Muse Games, the creators of Guns of Icarus. Our VN is based on the Guns of Icarus world. A steampunk/dieselpunk kind of world where airships are the main method of travel. Our story currently spans every nation faction within the world of Guns of Icarus and is expected to clock in past 700,000 word count. Being based within the world of Guns of Icarus, Dust and Air attempts to tell a story based on the pieces of lore that Muse has created. Their world lore is very open and vague, giving us plenty of room to flesh it out with this story. Our story is not canon, but it is within the realm of possibility and Muse could certainly choose to make some of it canon later. For more details you can check out our website: https://www.brokenhammergames.com or visit our IndieGoGo page: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/all-is-fair-in-dust-and-air-visual-novel-anime/x/16780722#/ Our current progress is we are in active development on our initial neutral arc story. Between 40-50%. There is an alpha demo up here which offers the first day of that story: https://www.brokenhammergames.com/demo-download The story arcs are all finished in at least draft format. Edit passes are taking place in prep for production. Recruitment is open but we are looking only for serious people who are interested in long term commitments with the project. Most of us work day jobs or have college so we're understanding about limitations for workloads. But more than that, we seek people who will mesh well with our current team. Art styles/writing styles/etc. We want this project to be as much your project as it is ours. You can drop us a line at [email protected] . Most recruitment decisions will take place on conclusion of our IndieGoGo campaign. Thanks! SCREENSHOTS!
  9. (full video trailer coming soon) Download the free demo and delve straight into the adventure...! Kickstarter: Coming Soon! Capital punishment hasn't occurred in the United Kingdom since 1964, but, on the 15th March 2019, a colossal domestic terrorist attack on the state's most prestigious law school leaves the criminal legal system in chaos. With thousands of deaths, survivor Storm Sente, a mere 20-year-old law student, finds himself called to the bar to fulfil his premature duty. But as the so-called People's Movement for the Revival of Capital Punishment grows into an ever-larger, ever-present threat, the bar is by no means a safe place to be. With even the long-standing local police corruption rearing its ugly head, there's more to fight against than the cases themselves as friends become almost indistinguishable from enemies – the very future of law and order hangs in the balance, from forces both inside and out. Join Storm and investigate crime scenes, defend clients in court, achieve justice for the innocent and – with a bit of luck – uncover the truth of the fateful terrorist attack and the sprawling cult behind it. Acquittal: Induction™, the first instalment in a planned series, was born from inspiration from Capcom's Ace Attorney series and is in many ways a homage. Alternating between the investigation of criminal cases at the crime scene and the defence of clients in heated courtroom trials, it inherits its basic mechanics from the classic visual novel series, while taking and running with those core concepts. The game draws more inspiration from both British courtroom dramas and real-life cases, also adapting the genre to a format more befitting the PC/Steam platform, featuring updated, stylish graphics and new Sherlockian game mechanics (such as Testimony Analysis, Brainstorming and Concatenation) in the way of divergent thinking. These new game modes allow for logic and puzzle-solving like never seen before, moving from pointing out simple contradictions in testimonies to deducing complex facts and theories in order to fight your case and uncover the truth. Featuring a distinctive style, innovative gameplay mechanics and an epic story with a colourful cast of characters to match, Acquittal: Induction is comprised of five episodes, each longer and more challenging than the last. The 1st of these (The First Daybreak) is available to be sampled in the demo. The subsequent episodes will be released incrementally (as free updates included in the purchase) as development completes with funding. This law-drama adventure game will be available for PC, Mac and Linux, to be released on Steam. The first episode of Acquittal: Induction has been completed, of which the entire first half is available for free to download as the demo. With further funding, the remaining four episodes will be completed in turn and released incrementally, as updates to the original game. Releasing episodes in this pseudo-agile way ensures security for the project, allowing players to be able to download and start playing content as soon as it's ready, rather than waiting a potentially painfully long time until the entirety of the game is completed. In addition, we'll be launching on Steam in order to get the game released on one of the best and most powerful distribution platforms around, supporting cloud save services, achievements, and much more! Though produced, developed, programmed and written by Procella Games, a great number of hugely talented people have already contributed to the various elements going into the game: Composers |Caleb Cuzner · Sherrick Wiegel Arranger |Ryuno VFX artist |Lazcht (Stellar-Ø) Sound designer |Clea Leshlick (Stellar-Ø) Character artist |Daphne Robinson Character animator |David Fuentes Background/incidental artists |Badriel · Julian Seifert GUI/logo designer |Juan Mojica Videographer |WhiteCharisma Prototype concept artist |Nicole Aniceto Prototype character artist |Karl Rillera Prototype background/animation artist |Alexis Rillera Prototype GUI designer |Angel Wareman Not to mention the wide range of voice talent: Storm Sente |Austin Lee Matthews Sebastian Donovan |David J. Dixon Lizzy Harrison |Kira Buckland Charlie Lawrence |Corey Holland Howard Silberling |Joshua Tomar Terri Wonder |Kristyn Mass The graphical interfaces and sound design for the entire game have already been fully completed. The original soundtrack has been fully composed (available physically as a reward tier...!), while the tracks for the first episode have been fully mastered - funding will also complete mastering for the rest. Here's a sample of the orchestral/electronic soundtrack as composed by Caleb Cuzner/Sherrick Wiegel and arranged by Ryuno. Acquittal: Induction's sleek GUI was designed by Juan Mojica, allowing for streamlined organisation of collected evidence and personnel profiles, with the dynamic screen animations and stylish divergent thinking interfaces being designed by Lazcht of Stellar-Ø. As such, the majority of funding for the remainder of the game will go into producing more of the vibrant character designs and animations and stunning backgrounds. The backgrounds for the courtroom were designed based on real British Crown Courts, expertly brought to life by Badriel, with the colourful cast of characters vividly designed and realised by Daphne Robinson and fluently animated by David Fuentes. - - - - - I've always been interested in English criminal law, and have toyed around with the idea of bringing the magnificent British courtroom dramas into a collaboration with one of my favourite game series, Ace Attorney. I hope fans of Phoenix Wright, Britain, criminal law, visual novels and PC gaming can all come together and hopefully enjoy this exciting project! Please do check out the demo, share your feedback and comments, follow us on social media and help share with others! In particular, liking us on Facebook and/or following us on Twitter is by far the best way to stay up-to-date with all the incoming news.
  10. Kotachi Asterio is a 15 year old boy who wants to help people that can’t fight for themselves. However, he isn't some sort of superhero- he can just see things other people can't. During the day, he goes to high school with his best friend, Ophi. At night, the two fight off specters, monsters that lurk in shadows and can harm people. It is a kinetic visual novel in terms of story, as there is only one ending. Game Design Document ★ Public Script ★ Concept Art Kotachi Asterio wants to help people that can’t fight for themselves. However, he isn't some sort of superhero- he can just see things other people can't. During the day, he goes to high school with his best friend, Ophi. At night, the two fight off specters, monsters that lurk in shadows and can harm people. Kotachi has been able to see specters since he was about 10. When his grandfather died, he was given a wooden box that was simply inscribed with “to whoever can grasp it”. Inside were a pair of white revolvers- however, his parents couldn’t see them, leading Kotachi to realize the revolvers were special. He finds that his revolvers are actually forged from the constellation Perseus, and can be used to fight of specters, monsters that fester in dark places. The game starts with Kotachi and his best friend, Ophi, fighting off specters when they stumble upon a talking fox who claims to be an Aligner, someone who fights specters, and makes the two boys her apprentices. They meet several other characters as they all train to become certified Aligners from C.O.I.N., an organization that employs Aligners to dispel and research specters. Throughout the game, it becomes apparent that some constellations actually embody human forms, and are a group known as the Zodiac- a group that was previously thought to be legend, as they haven’t been seen for decades. Kotachi is one of the few people in the world with a weapon strong enough to dispel the specters controlling each of the Zodiac, and thus can become their Protector, someone who shields the constellations from specters and is able to invoke their power in battle. ✩ Kotachi Asterio Kotachi almost always has a grin on his face and, when he isn’t being lazy, he’s typically upbeat. However, he’s not very outgoing, and Ophi is his only real friend until Vulpe comes along and forces him to meet new people. Kotachi would be perfectly content staying a nobody and destroying specters on his own time, as he hates change. He's a junior in high school and has no clue what his major in college will be- his backup plan is becoming a "professional" urban explorer. ✩ Ophi Lira Ophi is a very standoffish character who is both distrusting and generally doesn’t like the rest of the cast, save for Kotachi. However, aside from their “teacher”, Vulpe, Ophi is the most experienced in the group, as he’s been able to see specters “for as long as [he] can remember”. Even with Kotachi, though, there are things he doesn’t like to talk about- specifically his family, or lack thereof. However, through all of his rude and snide comments directed at Kotachi, Ophi does care about him. In game, Ophi is an optional love interest. ✩ Ayane Miu Ayane is seemingly cold and standoffish, but she doesn’t like people who waste her time or slack off. She is the tentative valedictorian of their class and also the incognito PTA president while also learning the ropes of running a national bank, her father's business. It's safe to say she doesn't exactly like to rest. ✩ Leos Coronil Leos tries to get along with everyone. He’s an easy going guy, but his calm nature makes him the target of bullying, specifically from football players who think he’s crazy for seeing specters. Within the group, he’s the median, and thinks more with his heart than with his brain. He’s the ace of the soccer team and prefers the company of people as opposed to being alone. ✩ Riko Asterio Riko is Kotachi’s adopted older sister. She used to be close with Kotachi when they were younger, but a failure to stay in touch or even visit after she moved into a dorm for high school caused the two to grow apart. Riko is mostly the opposite of her brother- she’s outgoing, vibrant, and constantly trying new things. She’s never still except when busy with work and loves to be around others. Most of all, she likes teasing Kotachi. ✩ Dania Truman Dania doesn’t get out a lot, not since her grandfather passed away. She used to volunteer at the C.O.I.N. outpost with him, healing Aligners, so when he passed away she kept at it, even if she became more reserved. Dania is timid and doesn’t talk a lot to strangers, but isn’t quiet- instead, she only talks a lot to people she’s comfortable being around because of her shyness. It centers around Kotachi and the rest of the cast training and becoming certified Aligners, and eventually him becoming the Protector of the Zodiac. I've already had a few questions about it before, so note- this game is astronomy based, not astrology based. The main cast all use weapons forged from constellations such as Perseus, Serpens, Aquila, and more- each weapon was placed on Earth long ago by ancient powers. Each of the weapons can be upgraded. Later on, Kotachi begins rescuing members of the Zodiac from specters that have infected them- once he has successfully rescued a constellation, he is able to summon them to help fight off specters. The fights in the game are classic JRPG turn-based style and there are multiple dungeons in the game. As previously mentioned, there are some boys love elements in it, i.e. Kotachi can end up with a boy, but the story itself is very low on romance and it's optional. However, there is only one ending, so choices only change dialogue and some scenes. The word count so far is about 60k words, but the full game after dungeons will be about 10+ hours long. There will be a demo released sometime in 2019, but the full game will be commercial, around $15-20. This will be playable on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. ★ Questions About the Game ⋆ What are you expecting from this? ⋆ Where you confused at any point while reading the descriptions? ⋆ Who is your favorite character? ⋆ Have you ever played an RPG VN? If so, what would you like to see us do better?

  12. For complete information check out in our IndieGoGo! >>> https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nusantara-bermuda-triangle-visual-novel-adventure-fantasy/x/16687918#/ Genre: Otome Fantasy, Adventure, Romance, Comedy, Mystery WARNINGS: swearing, blood, death, psychological, and a little gore Rating: 16+ In 20XX, an enormous earthquake shook the world and caused a triangular crater to suddenly appear in the middle of Bermuda Triangle. The world was aghast with this discovery; even more so when scout teams discovered an ‘invisible wall’ around it, preventing further investigation. As if it wasn’t enough, spiritual events also increased all over the world after this phenomenon occurred. Our heroine, Maya (19), was a young adult who was busy earning her living so this kind of event was of little importance aside from adding an exciting spice into her life. But then her world crumbled when a Goddess came and announced that her family would die in a car accident in the near future. The Goddess offered Maya a deal: She would alter her family’s fate in exchange for closing the Bermuda Crater. To do that, Maya would have to go to a place called Forgotten Isles, find what caused it, and look for a solution. If she agreed, three men will accompany her, acting as bodyguards. Apparently, they each have their own circumstances and a wish to be granted. Characters: Here's our rename-able Heroine -And many more! x'D Background & GUI Samples: Game Info: Hi! This is SweetChiel who is responsible for the fantasy adventure visual novel with winged guys in loin cloths*cough* -I mean, traditional Indonesia Batik clothes. Remember this baby of mine? The warm welcome I received for Nusantara: Legend of the Winged Ones pushed me to make more visual novels with Indonesian elements in it. Please take note that Nusantara: Bermuda Triangle is NOT a sequel of Nusantara: Legend of the Winged Ones. It is set in the same world, but it will be in a wider horizon and a brand new story. I really didn't expect myself to jump head first into becoming a visual novel developer since I didn't know a thing about programming 3 years ago, but who knew! After a trial of errors and tears, I feel that Ren'Py now is like a magic item which allows me to create a whole new world! Features: - 4 Love interests (The last bachelor will be unlocked once you finished with all 3 main bachelors routes, more info later in IndieGoGo) - 9 Endings - 1 Minigame - Casual Status Raising - Regular & Time-Limited Choices - Translation/Definition Notes - Mini Encyclopedia - lots of original CGs & BGs (I haven't calculate the exact number yet) My Honored Proofreaders: - KrystalFlare - crystalscm - Blasé&Voracious I found awesome proofreaders! It's so much fun working with them and I love the result <3 :'3 Game Progress: - Plot: 75% - Script: 25% - Character Sprite: 60% - Programming: 25% (Demo Finished) - Backgrounds : 55% - Songs & Sound Effect: 75% DOWNLOAD DEMO HERE (Windows, Mac, Linux) Questions for you: 1. Which character caught your attention the most? 2. What do you expect to see in Bermuda? 3. Will you guys be happy if I add a route to romance the antagonist? xD 4 It will took awhile until I publish a demo since I still have things to experiment with Ren'Py -but feel free to give suggestion/critiques :'3 I will update once every Monday in lemmasoft forum/facebook fanpage/tumblr/itch.io <3 Oh, I also opened a Patreon: there will be more sneak peeks, step by step WIPs of my backgrounds, behind the scenes, and even a spot for beta-testing without strings attached if you want! I hope to see you around! xoxo, SweetChiel
  13. Hi everyone! We're a u7committee — a small team of people from different parts of the world with backgrounds in gaming and video industry. We'd like to announce our Kickstarter project on Fuwanovel. It's called Minotaur, and it's a crossover between visual novel and point and click adventure/puzzle game. Zero escape and Danganronpa series are, of course, a big inspiration (the other side being LucasArts classics... And The Neverhood. Did anyone play The Neverhood?) Please take a look at our Kickstarter trailer. It's pretty short, but it tells a lot about the game: If you like the trailer, you can actually give the game a try. We have a one hour playable demo (which has a complete voice over from some great actors, by the way) for Windows PC and Mac available. You can download it from: Game Jolt | itch.io | IndieDB | Our website Remember: that's VN/adventure game — you'll need to solve puzzles, use inventory etc. But if you don't like that part (or get stuck doing it), jsut use this spoiler-free walkthrough that we wrote. We'd be happy to hear your feedback about the game. And if you liked it, you can check out our Kickstarter page and consider supporting Minotaur (at the moment of writing this, we're nearing €20K of our €30K goal): Our Kickstarter page A couple of words about the game... Minotaur is a sci-fi murder mystery set in the world we've spent two years creating. The game is now 50% done, and we expect to release at the end of this year. (If you're interested, you can read more about it here.) The game is split into five routes and features nine characters. The cast is pretty diverse... there's even a penguin (no EVA reference, I swear): These poor creatures wake up to find themselves trapped in their own apartment building, and (naturally) try to get out, struggling to understand what had happened in the process. More often than not, they die. Graphics are a mix of hand-drawn artwork and 3D modelling. Here are some screenshots from the game: (Did I already tell you there are no EVA references?) And that's that... I hope that you give Minotaur a try. If you happen to have any questions or feedback, let me know and I'll be there. Cheers and thanks for your time! Nick PS: I just can't not say it... Fuwanovel UI is really sexy. And the editor is one of the best I've seen. Writing this post was a pleasure!

  17. DOWNLOAD FREE FROM: TRAILER Did someone ask for: * 90 unique-ish endings? * 30 profound-ish life lessons to learn? * Sock puppet humor and violence galore? The Story of Socks Serena "This isn’t even the worst place I’ve been locked in. * sigh * We don’t think about that, Serena." What would you do if you were trapped somewhere for a long time? Put A Sock In It! dares ask the question: How far would you go to entertain yourself? With all her coworkers gone for the weekend, no way of contacting the outside world, and no hint of rescue in sight, Serena will discover that maybe, just maybe, her best friend is actually herself. And these puppets she just made from her socks... You play the game by selecting each pair of characters, for a total of four combinations: Princess x Wizard, Ghost x Stable Boy, Wizard x Ghost, and Stable Boy x Princess. Each pairing gives you control of the situation and relationship from one of the characters' point of view. Princess Hobbies: Being happy, exploring, upkeep of castles, keeping tabs on neighboring princes. Dislikes: Stuffy high society, imprisonment. So, to pass the time she will weave short, humorous skits based on your selections between characters of your choice, with storylines ranging from romantic melodrama between princess and stable boy to violent quarrels with an evil wizard. This game features one setting (Magic Kingdom) with four characters (Princess, Ghost, Evil Wizard, Stable Boy), altogether coming in at a little over 20, 000 words with all the variations. * The game has sock puppet violence, and some suggestively risqué dialogue on the odd occasion. 18. A collaborative group of friends and I decided one summer's day to begin creating a visual novel like no other. Turmoil of the Seven is a sci-fi RPG visual novel that takes seven factions of cultures widely known around the world, and places them in a futuristic, but chaotic universe. The protagonists of the Visual Novels depend on which of the four characters you would choose to pick. Tristen Talon, Ryou Hidekari, and Heinz Ritter are currently the three protagonists we have right now, the fourth protagonist is still being decided. The seven factions in the game are: The Alliance of Free Systems, The Honorable Shogunate of Hidekari, The Imperium of Weisslande, The Holy Mandate of Alvan, The Absolute and Royal Systems of Arthuria, The Galacian Empire of Alyssandria, and finally, The Union of Ursan Republics. These seven factions are the primary forces in the game right now, while we are currently creating minor factions that will be somewhat nomadic during gameplay. Magic is in this game, and we are also devising how that will turn the tide of battle in the game. The game is currently in development and we need your support and feedback to make it a reality! Feel free to check out our Kickstarter at: Feel free to follow us on Twitter, where most of the game's updates will be posted Twitter: https://twitter.com/OfficialToTSVN Thank you all so much for taking the time to look through our Kickstarter. Your contributions won't go to waste
  19. Check out the trailer!: Inspired by the likes of Dark Souls, Earthbound, and various tabletop RPGs, Karmasutra is an intense, erotic hybrid RPG/Visual Novel taking place in a rich, detailed, open world. Karmasutra takes place in the world of Tattva - a mysterious, heavenly realm that acts as the final challenge for sinners who seek the call of Nirvana in other worlds. Once home to ancient, sacred civilizations, these eras have now passed; in the wake of this passing, the realm has become an afterlife, a final challenge for restless wandering souls who commit sins in other worlds. As our protagonist awakes in this strange land, he's quickly introduced to concept of Samsara; the journey across Tattva that all "Wanderers" must undergo to cleanse themselves of sin. Confused by this sudden pitch, our Wanderer also learns that this so-called "call of Nirvana" is not absolute; in fact, there are some Wanderers that choose to ignore the call in exchange for the infinite sexual & material pleasures - and dangers - that this mysterious afterlife seems to offer. In this foreign realm however, Wanderers are not the only residents. From the sacred gurus who guide Wanderers and the demonic Asurian tricksters to the monstrous manifestations of sin and the Gods themselves, Tattva is never truly what it seems. But in this mysterious world, where both the path of Sin and the path Merit seem to lead to their own rewards and consequences, which path is truly correct? And more importantly, which path will you, the Wanderer, choose? Karmasutra is a hybrid VN; it plays as an RPG, and interactions with NPCs are done in typical visual novel form.It takes place in Tattva, a large world, filled with many, many unique NPCs - all with h-scnes - and various smaller events and interactions that can be pursued in parallel to the main story. Some features include a morality system, which will change the way characters interact with you and dictate certain events across the world of Tattva, a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired tabletop exploration system, featuring a number of interesting and unique locations, and a turn-based combat system with a unique twist - instead of just fighting, enemies can also be conversed with, randomly generated with one of many possible personalities per-type of enemy. And last but not least, here are a few more peaks at some of the game's characters during visual novel scenes: And some more character art for fun: There's monster girls too! Progress The game is currently scheduled for first quarter of this year, a lot of it is currently finished and holding for art. We're considering a crowdfunding campaign, but nothing is confirmed. 20. KICKSTARTER | WEBSITE | TWITTER | ITCH.IO | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TUMBLR | LEMMASOFT Update #10: Mysteries and Science Fiction in A Near Dawn Our KickStarter wrapped at 76% ~ We didn't quite reach our goal. It will be nice to take a little break and reflect on things. You can download the full Prologue for A Near Dawn FREE on Itch.io (Russian Version available, as well) / Steam / GooglePlay (Android Version) A Near Dawn is a visual adventure created by Leonid Pilchin. It is the first commercial project from Far-off Daydream Games. A Near Dawn is an enjoyable yet devastating psychological thriller with amusing highs, gut-wrenching crashes, and mature themes. While grounded in reality, supernatural and science fiction elements will unfold as the story progresses. The opening sees our main character - Seattle-based attorney Sam Nichols - who seems to be experiencing disturbing psychological difficulties, exposed to progressively dire circumstances that threaten to unravel his reality and destroy those closest to him. Haunted by personal demons, with your law firm struggling and on the brink of collapse, you take the helm on an important new case involving a ruthless multinational corporation, defended by some of the vilest people you ever had the misfortune of knowing. The odds already seem stacked against you, but you will soon learn that things are not as they appear, as a deeper conspiracy begins to emerge. Where will you end up if you keep untangling the threads? You must be brave to uncover the truth. This project is an interactive visual novel adventure featuring: Beautiful artwork and animations rendered in 1080p Immersive cinematics with some frame-by-frame animation Original music composed for the game Full voice audio provided by some very talented actors Puzzles to solve - the flow of this game is inspired by traditional adventure games Dynamic decisions that alter the course of your interactions with others - rewards or consequences for your actions Psychological tension - the main character has a darker personality who will come to the surface if you feed that darkness Multiple endings - there is one true ending, but your successes or failures can take you off course Episodic narrative - This is a full game, but it is part of an ambitious project with a far-reaching storyline The plot will not progress without you, you are in control of the main character's actions at every turn. You will explore your environment and speak to other characters to learn about what is happening and what must be done. A key concept of this game was to give as much freedom and put as much detail into the content of the story as could be managed, as such you will have the option to skip important elements of the game not necessary for advancing the main plot if your character chooses to ignore them or fails to explore them. At the same time, you will not be able to move forward without resolving issues necessary for advancing the story along. In fair Seattle, where we lay our scene. We're getting close to finishing art for the opening! The neighborhood diner near your workplace. Our story begins here with a chat between two of our protagonists over a lunch that goes terribly wrong. Where, oh where could this be? 22. Hello everyone! I thought I'd post here about the project I am currently working on: Echoes of the Fey - Episode 0: The Immolation We're currently in Steam Greenlight! ABOUT WOODSY STUDIO I (Jenny Gibbons) run Woodsy Studio along with Malcolm Pierce, and this will be our fifth released visual novel. You can find more info about our previous games on our website, which include Serafina's Saga, Serafina's Crown, Quantum Conscience, and Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1. Although we're usually the sole developers of our projects, we hire out for voice acting in our games, and we occasionally recruit other people such as artists and sound designers to help us out. INTRODUCTION TO EPISODE 0: THE IMMOLATION "Echoes of the Fey" is a visual novel series following a flawed but forcefully optimistic heroine, Sofya Rykov, trapped amidst the conflict between Humans and Leshin (elves). For thirty years, the continent of Oraz has been wracked by the great war between its peoples. The East is ruled by the kingdom of the Humans, divided up into counties and family houses. Beyond the great forest of the west is the Leshin, undying men and women with a strong connection to the Fey, capable of powerful magic. Humans cannot wield Fey magic on their own, but they know how to channel it into machines called Fey reactors and manipulate it for their purposes. Deeply offended by this use of Fey energy, the Leshin have been fighting for decades to disarm Humans of their Fey reactor technology. "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 0 - The Immolation" is a short prequel to "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1 - The Fox's Trail," already released. It reveals the origin of Sofya's strange abilities and how she came to meet Heremon. Although Episode 1 is a commercial project, Episode 0 will be released for FREE upon completion. DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS Currently the project is about 75% done, and the remaining 25% primarily consists of UI touch-ups, bug fixing, and adding features. The script is written, VA is complete, *most* artwork is finished, most of the code foundation is in place, and almost all the scenes have been coded in. This is the first visual novel we've made in Unreal Engine 4, so it has been an interesting adventure so far! Naturally, it was difficult getting started setting up our own visual novel engine within UE4, but now that we've got the hang of it, we're really loving the engine altogether. We've actually had a lot fewer problems so far than we experienced with Game Maker, our previous engine. Before that we used Ren'Py, which is still a fantastic engine for people who don't need to add complex elements to their VN beyond normal branching and dialogue. We've been sitting in Greenlight for awhile, but we're hoping we can get Greenlit by the time we're finished with the game, so we can release it free onto Steam as soon as possible! I'll try to update here as we progress. In the meantime, you can check out Episode 1 of the series, currently discounted for Steam's winter sale!
  23. OMEGA PATTERN The content of this post is available both in English and Spanish on http://www.patronomega.com GAMEPLAY Omega Pattern is a Visual Novel which offers a variable multiple-choice decision system. This means that both the number of decision points and the number of choices or options that you will find in those decision points may vary according to your previous decisions during the game. TEASER SYNOPSIS The world where the Omega Pattern story happens is seemingly normal, similar to the one we live in. However, genetics and fate mean that a few individuals are born with a kind of Pattern or special brain signal which lets them develop unique and varied psychic skills that are determined by their life experiences, which form their behavior and character. From the shadows, an organization known as Bioagora controls the world according to its own interests thanks to the power and influences that they get, in part, from their Agents. These Agents are people who own the Pattern and have been coerced, bought, forced and even captured against their will to be brainwashed and indoctrinated, so they can faithfully serve the Bioagora. Shaiel (21 years old), a man who possesses the Pattern, has found himself forced to live in secrecy in order to avoid falling into the hands of the Bioagora. However, as time passes, it gets more difficult to escape from a power which is increasing exponentially. Seeking for allies has become an unavoidable, and it seems that the only alternative available are the Celtas; a small and poorly organized group with unorthodox methods, whose plan to face the Agents and restoring an order different to the Bioagora’s seems near impossible. As the rest of the population stay impassive in a gray world, Shaiel will have Shaiel to play his cards right and find out the truth hidden by the Bioagora, the Celtas and himself. FEATURES Become the Main Character: Decide what to do in the most relevant moments of Shaiel’s past. This will determine his current personality and therefore his psychic abilities and the decisions that you will be able to take in the future. 3 Story Lines: Access to 3 significantly different story lines, which means that you will have a high replay experience where you will find suspense, action, drama, comedy, horror and romance. +6 Hours: The variable multiple-choice decision system that we have implemented for the first part of the visual novel can grant you up to 6 hours of gameplay or more. Mobile Optimized: You will enjoy the same experience both in the Desktop (PC and Mac), Mobile and iPad versions. Full HD: 2048×1536 resolution for iPad users and 1920×1080 for Desktop and Mobile users. Manga Anime Style: 100% original illustrated material. 25. Hi! Recently I have been creating a new world to set stories in. I am creating a series of shorter games and comics exploring this world. While I am not completely done, I feel as though your feedback would be very much welcome. I want to include you peeps in the development process. What is it? Rooted follows a town built on top of a giant creature wandering through the world. The town is mostly self sufficient - they grow crops and trees on the creature, harvest the giant fur to sew clothes and other materials, and mine the horns of the creature to create more sturdy things such as weapons and foundations. Every once in a while, the creature ceases its endless trot to slumber. For a short while, the giantfolk can visit the ground to trade and mingle before the creature wakes up. To the people living on the creature there are two worlds. The familiar and constant soft and furry world of the town set in the fur of the creature, and the ever changing, moving world of the ground. The world of the ground is always different , forever changing as the creature continues walking onwards. The creature folk are forever moving this way, but also forever rooted to the creature. Intent I want to explore how life on the creature is. To explore their world and use that in context of my own worldview to gain a better understanding of myself. Does the townfolk ever feel trapped? Do their youth run away to the unknown ground world? Does the town traditionally reproduce with people from the ground world to increase their gene pool? What does the ground world think of the creature? What if a city is trampled down, does people get angry and what do they do about it? What happens when they meet another creature with a townt? What if their giant is a predator, for example a spider? Those are some potential plotlines set in this world. For now I am still creating the world and establishing just how it works though! View from a small settlement on the edge of the giant. What do you want from me? I am involving you in the development of Rooted, if you would like to! Here is how it works; Every week or every other week, I will post a new update on the project. I will give you guys a script, a comic, a prototype or simply some artwork. In the same run, I will provide a feedback form, you will hopefully give feedback, and based on your feedback I will pivot accordingly! While I have a vision, I believe it is important to listen to your audience and iterate from there. If you’re into it, I would love to take your opinion into consideration. Okay, let me join! You can leave some feedback and sign up as a tester here - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfs_tElhyRJ2VJ0tuiVjBKdcRynAH2Zihld8DfQm_xjpVZe9Q/viewform Who are you?
