  2. STORY When Eiza Gaido wakes up on the cold floor of a jail cell, his mind is completely blank. He remembers only two things: His name and that he’s not a terrorist. However, the government seems to think the opposite; they accuse him of a bombing attack to the local university of his hometown. The journals, the media, the police officers…everyone blames it on him. It’s a death sentence. But only if Ori Asylum will declare he was mentally stable at the moment of the attack, it seems there have been objections that have saved him from the grim reaper. To determine his psychological conditions, he’s sent to the psychiatric hospital in Sapporo; there, he finds himself trapped in an unsettling, suffocating reality that makes him doubt the truth of what he’s been told until then. Between mixed memories and unexplainable events, he meets three girls who’ll change his life: Innocent Shizune and her mysterious sketchbook, the alluring vice-director Nao and Supra with her sad eyes If Eiza wants to break free from his cage, he has no other choice than investigate and discover the truth about who he is and what he has done CHARACTERS When Eiza wakes up in jail, he remembers only two things: His name and the fact that he’s not a terrorist, not matter what the government says. He dreams of flames and people screaming, but his instinct tells him he’s missing a piece of the puzzle; there must be more, another explanation. He knows he’s not a terrorist, but the world seems to think the opposite. If only he could remember… Nao’s the seductive vice-director of Ori Asylum. She moves like a queen between the peasants, her tone and words are aimed to please, tantalize and manipulate. Her sparkly eyes know more of what she lets surface, her taunting smirk is a dangerous provocation. She has one priority and it’s herself, she would do anything to protect what’s hers and obtain what she desires. Nao likes to play with people and uses it to her own advantage. She makes use of her power and influence to control the Asylum, even if she despises it and its guests Supra is one of the nurses at Ori Asylum. The woman hides every emotion and thought behind a cold mask of indifference or exasperation; she has a detached attitude and sharp tongue that make it difficult for others to approach her. However, when she’s treating her patients, or when she lowers her guard, a caring fondness emerges and gives the hints of a gentle heart. Supra rarely loses her temper, managing to keep under control both herself and the situation at hand. She’s the main responsible of the patients affected by dementia and other patiens like Shizune Shizune is a shy girl, patient of the Ori Asylum, who seems to have often her head in the clouds; she’s easily frightened and intimidated, but this is not going to stop her curiosity and gentle heart. Her kind smile is a balsam for the soul and, even if she speaks cryptically, a fond sweetness always lies in her tone. Her innocence and naivety resemble the one of a child, but that’s not a reason to underestimate her bravery or passion. Omega Pattern seeks to offer a more personal and deeper experience in the visual novel genre. In Omega Pattern, we ‘reinvent’ the visual novel concept by giving you the opportunity to choose the main character’s personality in a prologue where you will recall his past. Every personality defines a character with his own storyline which will change as you advance on the story and keep making decisions. SYNOPSIS The world where the Omega Pattern story happens is seemingly normal, similar to the one we live in. However, genetics and fate mean that a few individuals are born with a kind of Pattern or special brain signal which lets them develop unique and varied psychic skills that are determined by their life experiences, which form their behavior and character. From the shadows, an organization known as Bioagora controls the world according to its own interests thanks to the power and influences that they get, in part, from their Agents. These Agents are people who own the Pattern and have been coerced, bought, forced and even captured against their will to be brainwashed and indoctrinated, so they can faithfully serve the Bioagora. Shaiel (21 years old), a man who possesses the Pattern, has found himself forced to live in secrecy in order to avoid falling into the hands of the Bioagora. However, as time passes, it gets more difficult to escape from a power which is increasing exponentially. Seeking for allies has become an unavoidable, and it seems that the only alternative available are the Celtas; a small and poorly organized group with unorthodox methods, whose plan to face the Agents and restoring an order different to the Bioagora’s seems near impossible. THE FINAL PART: WHY KICKSTARTER? This Kickstarter campaign expects to get funding for the big final part of the visual novel. Borokai Studio is an indie group and Omega Pattern is his first indie visual novel. Besides being indie, Omega Pattern intends to be a very long visual novel (+40 hours). It’s impossible to afford this kind of project by an indie group without economic support, and here’s where the first part of Omega Pattern appears. We covered the first part expenses and released it without Kickstarter, Patreon or any kind of crowdfunding campaign because we wanted to show you the main concept of Omega Pattern (a visual novel where you define the main character’s personality and Pattern) before using this kind of resources. Omega Pattern is not an episodic visual novel. Our current intention is to release DLCs and bundles with the full Beast, King and Astral routes. The decisions you make in the first part give you access to these routes, but they won’t affect their course. This means that you don’t have to replay the first part again when we release the routes DLCs. The decision system that we’ll use for the routes won’t allow us to separate them into more parts since we want that every decision you make can cause an impact on the story as it advances as well as in the endings. Every route will be different and we’d like to give them an estimated duration of 12 hours or more. But don't worry, if we don't manage to fund the final part in this campaign, we will divide the final part into several DLCs depending on the amount pledged by the bakers and we will relaunch a new Kickstarter campaign with a lower goal in order to release the next Omega Pattern's DLC. COST BREAKDOWN Art (35%): Over 85 CGs, 85 BGs, 8 new major characters and several minor characters. We could decrease the number of BGs and increase the number of CGs. Writing and Translation (30%): The original Omega Pattern's script is written in Spanish and we will have to cover an English professional translation. Programming, implemmentation and administration (10%). Music (10%). Kickstarter (10%). Rewards (5%). STRETCH GOALS The Omega Pattern Kickstarter's main goal is 33.000€. If we reach it, we will try to improve the visual novel with these stretch goals. 38.000€: MORE ART. Over 100 CGs and 100 BGs. We could decrease the number of BGs and increase the number of CGs. 43.000€: R-18 CONTENT. The consequences are not his alone to bear. Gameplay Yelth + Zhana is a visual novel. Similar to the adventure books of the 70s and 80s, the player is given an opportunity to interact with the story by choosing a path for the protagonist to follow. The path can lead to a "good", "bad" or "neutral" ending. Depending on the ending, the story may or may not continue onward.   9. Hello! My name's Luther, I'm the game designer on a new game that combines elements of Visual Novels and Roguelikes called 'Ambition: Minuet in Power'. We launched on Kickstarter a few weeks ago and we're already 71% funded. In Ambition, you play at Yvette, a woman of fashion in France right before the revolution. Yvette wants power, wealth and love, by any means necessary. Attend parties, charm guests, seduce powerful people and snub your enemies. However, the revolution is approaching and you must be careful, in order to survive, you'll need to end up on the winning side of history. Some random thoughts about the game: Every playthrough is different! Characters that appear in one playthrough may not appear in another. History is a mystery! The revolution might win this time, or it might not, carefully observe political events and adapt as they unfold, in order to avoid the guillotine. Revolutionary fashion! All the outfits worn in the game are based on actual paintings and fashion plates from the period. Strut like a queen, or march like a Jacobin! Both male and female romance options will be available (hence the GxB&G tag). The game won't be fully voice acted (way too expensive), but we'd like to have voice overs for some of the main story points. Thanks for reading!   10. Hello everyone! Our two-person team at Woodsy Studio is excited to officially announce Echoes of the Fey - Episode 2: The Last Sacrament. It's actually pretty far along in production right now (about 75% complete), but we're running a Kickstarter to help us to the finish line and fund all of the features we want to implement (such as more CGs and voice acting). The Echoes of the Fey series mixes a high fantasy setting with the mysteries and conspiracies of pulp detective fiction. Play as Sofya Rykov, a private investigator with a secret of her own: she is the only Human able to wield unlimited magic. Her country of Oraz is recovering from a 30-year war between Humans and Leshin (elves) over the use of Fey energy, so her unstable magic is best kept secret. Sofya herself is an unusual protagonist. For starters, we gave her personality traits typically given to the male leads of hard-boiled mystery tales. She sports a sassy, optimistic attitude that laughs in the face of danger, but this is a cover for the fear and helplessness underneath. As a result she sleeps around, drinks heavily, and knows she could die at any moment from the strange magic trapped inside of her. In The Last Sacrament, Sofya’s childhood love and the Emperor’s daughter, Katerina, seeks her protection from threats near the border. Meanwhile Katerina’s rival, Nikolai, needs a dangerous drug stolen from the powerful Krovakyn Church and uses blackmails to force Sofya’s assistance. Nikolai wants a dose of the Sacrament, a mysterious substance from the Krovakyn Church that can cure illnesses and extend lifespans. But repeated use of the Sacrament causes strange side effects, such as hallucinations and physical deformities. Nikolai wants to give the Sacrament to his grandmother, who has already received the maximum dosage allowed. It’s up to you, the player, to solve each case and determine its outcome. Can you track down Katerina’s enemy? And if you manage to steal the Sacrament, what will you choose to do with it? You also have several romance options in The Last Sacrament. If you proceed carefully, you can develop a romantic relationship with Katerina, Arkady, Nikolai, or Heremon. Most of The Last Sacrament consists of traditional VN scenes with choices to direct the story. You can also roam the town of Vodotsk freely as a side-scrolling environment, which opens up side quests and optional investigation opportunities. But the most experimental aspect of Echoes of the Fey: The Last Sacrament is a complex mini-game called RiftRealms. This is a tabletop game that exists in the world of Echoes of the Fey, and as Sofya you can play with other characters. We thought this would be an interesting way to showcase each character’s personality based on how they treat you as a Dungeon master. It also explores the question: what do people fantasize about in a fantasy world? What I'd love to hear from you: 1) Feedback about RiftRealms Via the download-able demo, you can see the first few scenes of the game and try RiftRealms for yourself! We'd love to hear what people think of the mini-game and whether you feel it will be an enjoyable addition to the narrative experience. If you have any other specific feedback about the game right now we'd love to hear that, too 2) Feedback regarding technical game performance Due to the fact that we're building this game in Unreal Engine 4 and implementing some fancy 3D environments, we realize that playing the game will require a better graphics card and CPU than most visual novels. You can set the Overall Visual Quality to LOW in the Options menu if you have a lower-end computer. Either way, we'd love to get a general feel for how the game performs for the average player. PROGRESS The Kickstarter sadly wasn't funded, but we promised that we would stay hard-at-work on the game and ensure it released, though perhaps without all the features we hoped to fund. We anticipated an early 2018 release date, but the unsuccessful campaign and a Steam release of our latest game, miraclr: Divine Dating Sim put us a few months behind schedule. A few months later, we're excited to be ready to give an update on The Last Sacrament. The script is finished and 95% coded into the game. Almost all the art assets are complete and incorporated into the project. The soundtrack is complete except for a couple of remixes that we hope will be a fun surprise for our players. What's left to complete? First off, the remaining portions of the script we've yet to implement in the game. That last five percent is chronologically near the end of the game and (as a result) has more branches/possibilities than most scenes. Second, we're hoping to implement a dynamic version of RiftRealms, the RPG mini-game, so that if players enjoy it they can experience it at any time, not just when the story allows. Finally, the not-insignificant testing and optimization phase, where we'll iron out every bug we can find over the final stretch. So, when will you be able to play The Last Sacrament? As long as there aren't any more unexpected delays, we're aiming for a late May or June release on Steam/itch.io for Windows PCs. Console versions will likely be later this year.     Hello everyone! I'm posting this as Director of Sun-Riviera studios, a new studio that is currently creating and trying to successfully fund their first VN: Dawn drop. A bit about our team: As director I am from a animation,3-D modeling and Game design background and as such I have knowledge and experience over what is needed to make a successful game in terms of marketing, content, what works and what doesnt, and most importantly an eye for quality. Roles such as deadlines, writing and approval/decline of assets is handled by myself as well as advertisement and marketing. Our team of artists include a background artist, character designer and a clean up/final artist. Each artist was hand chosen and hired for being excellent at their craft, higher then normal. We have a in-house composer as well who studies music at their university. A programmer who is also a major in his field and a English major for editing. All these in order to assure the highest quality content. A steampunk/dieselpunk kind of world where airships are the main method of travel. Our story currently spans every nation faction within the world of Guns of Icarus and is expected to clock in past 700,000 word count. Being based within the world of Guns of Icarus, Dust and Air attempts to tell a story based on the pieces of lore that Muse has created. Their world lore is very open and vague, giving us plenty of room to flesh it out with this story. Our story is not canon, but it is within the realm of possibility and Muse could certainly choose to make some of it canon later.     Hello guys. I wanted to introduce you to my work, still in development: General Practitioner. As the name suggests this is a game where you will be impersonating a medical doctor who works and manages a small clinic in a small town. The style is that of a visual novel, but it has elements of an RPG (choices WILL matter as you progress into the story. Plus it will feature an inventory management), of a simulation and of management. You will meet many characters, not just the patients (which are all scripted and each one will be dateable) but also staff members, occasional acquaintances and more. You will earn money for each visit and with that you'll have to pay your staff and medical instruments. More instruments will unlock more patients (Dermatology, Pediatrics, Gynecology, etc. etc.). The medical part is a simulation. I'm working with a real doctor, friend of mine, who tells me what happens in medical clinics (Italian ones, since I'm Italian) and all the medical informations are real. My inspiration are the old medical simulations like the "Emergency Room series" from Legacy Games. Of course the game will feature sex and nudity. But you won't be able to just fuck everything that moves, because you could scare patients away and the clinic could close due to debts. Being a doctor, though, is a good way to make people undress, but that depends on the purpose of the exam, the patient's trust in you and even their mood. The game is still in development, I began working on it some weeks ago (I'm all by myself) and right now the introduction and the first medical examination is complete. I expect to release a pre-pre-pre-pre-pre alpha version in a few days.   22. Hi everyone! We're a u7committee — a small team of people from different parts of the world with backgrounds in gaming and video industry. We'd like to announce our Kickstarter project on Fuwanovel. It's called Minotaur, and it's a crossover between visual novel and point and click adventure/puzzle game. Zero escape and Danganronpa series are, of course, a big inspiration (the other side being LucasArts classics... And The Neverhood. Did anyone play The Neverhood?) Minotaur is a sci-fi murder mystery set in the world we've spent two years creating. The game is now 50% done, and we expect to release at the end of this year. (If you're interested, you can read more about it here.) The game is split into five routes and features nine characters. The cast is pretty diverse... there's even a penguin (no EVA reference, I swear): These poor creatures wake up to find themselves trapped in their own apartment building, and (naturally) try to get out, struggling to understand what had happened in the process. More often than not, they die. Graphics are a mix of hand-drawn artwork and 3D modelling. Here are some screenshots from the game: (Did I already tell you there are no EVA references?)   24. Hi! I would like to introduce our indie game : The Horizon of Stars. The Horizon of the Stars is (Live2D) Visual novel game that is combined with shooting game. In a world where they can use the supernatural powers, high school students get into incident. Decades ago, mankind had found the new materials that can yield human to use supernatural powers. Only selected inborn children can use the powers, and they mostly choose to enter the military academy. The protagonist Eugene was only ordinary military school student, but he inevitably joins the military when the war begins. However, he encounters unexpected truth from the incidents.. *More synopsis & features beneath! Horizon of the Stars is visual novel and text adventure game. Here, we introduce you our characteristics. 1. Live2D. Every character in our game stays alive in the screen. They can blink their eyes, or smile, or breathe. Through using this technique, we are making our visual contents more animate. These moving is not made by video editing, but is by Live2D technology. 2. Shooting. Throughout The Horizon of Stars, Each character has to face the battle, to find their hidden secrets or, simply, to survive. Our game is turn-based shooting game. Player has attack & defense turns. 3. Text Adventure. Story flows only when you can find the clues from the scene. Through clicking the objects and talking to the people in the background, you can continue the investigation and find the clues from the scenes. keep your suspicion, never let your guard down! You are the one who can help main characters to figure out their ways. 4. Miscellaneous. There are the moments you have to decide whether to fight against the enemies, or run away. At the battle, your game control decides characters' battle skills and their fates. Enjoy other various game systems! Why does he have nightmare? what is the secrets that lies beyond the future? About Background Decades ago, mankind found the materials that they have not seen previously. While all the scholars have been vigorously discussed about materials, a great number of newborn babies were reported for their abnormalities: making jewel-like materials in their hands. Researchers managed meticulous examination on the babies. Researchers soon found out when they merge two materials, selected people can execute the supernatural powers. They called it ‘birthstone’. From that discovery, mankind have established a great development in every field, especially in science, and military. About Birthstone Only 0.1 percents of people born with the birthstone. Children who has their inborn talents are sent to organizations to educate their supernatural powers, and refine their birthstones. Through using their stones as media, they can execute supernatural powers. Supernaturals are divided into three categories: Attackers, Guardians, Amplifiers. The form of weapon is limitless, from swords to the dual wield pistons. They usually hold their stones in the form of accessories, and transform it to weapon when it’s necessary. However, battle planes can only be operated by inserting their stones. Military Academy Only top 0.1 percent inborn talent children enter National Military Academy. Eugene belongs to this school. Student usually joins the military right after the graduation. Relations Between Countries Heden (where Eugene belongs) and Sira have long history of the war. Nowadays, they have built the convivial relationship in various ways. However, when the ambassador was assassinated by the other, they quickly changed into combative relations. This incident influenced the relationships in extremely negative ways, that now they are about to raise the war. The Horizon of Three Seconds Enormous beam of light that covered the sky a decade ago. No one knows the exact reason for this phenomenon. *All these screenshots appear as real CG in gameplay.   25. Hey, all! I finally decided to do a post on Fuwanovel about TsukiWare's latest projects! We've reached our original $3,000 goal, and there is a stretch goal or two that could be met if enough people are interested! The spoilers below contain information about both of our titles - let us know your thoughts! If you're interested in backing us, our Kimochi Red Light campaign ends on March 24, 2017, at 1:55AM EDT. I will start to post more information once the campaign has ended, including a few updates regarding our UI, Programming, and a couple other links that I need to update once I confirm a few things.
