Hello there! My name is Cadence. I’m a junior in high school and the new drum major of my school's band: The Blue Mountain Marching Bandits! I’m so excited (and a tad nervous...) for my first year in such an important role. I’ll try to be the very best conductor and leader I can! To be honest, the past few years have been rough for the Bandits...it’s been pretty demoralizing. Directors have been coming and going, students are dropping out, and competition scores have been lower than ever. But all of that is about to change! This year, we're getting a new band director named Mr. Victor Wiley, a passionate alumni of Blue Mountain High School. I can tell he's determined to salvage the declining band program and take us to new heights when competition season arrives, just like I am! For Band Camp this year, Mr. Wiley said we'll be going away to a literal camp in the middle of nowhere--to "focus on learning this year’s field show and attain the ultimate level of band bonding." Words cannot describe how much I’m looking forward to this! I’m going to use this precious time to grow as a leader and make tons more friends. After all, it’s a fresh new year filled with hope and opportunity. I hope the band is ready to experience plenty of blood, sweat, and tears, because this is going to be a marching band season unlike any other! -GAMEPLAY/FEATURES- In Band Camp Boyfriend, the player’s choices will greatly influence day-to-day events, Cadence's leadership style, and her relationships with other characters. Eventually, her choices will determine which boy’s route the player ends up on. FEATURES -At least 7 Story Routes -20+ Endings -20+ Unique Sprites with a Wide Range of Personalities and Expressions -At least 24 CGs -Original Soundtrack -Partial Voice Acting -Unlockable Sidequest -Band Geeks STATS? - Stats will remain mostly hidden from the player as we would like the focus to be on the unfolding story. We believe stat systems should serve the story first and foremost, and will be using them behind the scenes to assist in creating the most authentic and engaging experience possible. DIFFICULTY LEVEL - The game will be difficult enough that players have to use their heads when making decisions, especially in the latter half of the game. But it will not be so difficult that everyone will be absolutely required to use a walkthrough to reach all the true/good endings. There is some room for error. We're a bit traditional in the way that each character has one good or "true" end and one or more bad ends, with no "neutral" endings. However, we hope the bad endings will be satisfying in their own twisted way. They should be experiences players won't want to miss out on! -CHARACTERS- Each of the dateable guys is based on the popular personality stereotype of the instrument they play. For example, Peter the trumpeter has a huge ego and Clark the clarinetist is a no-nonsense perfectionist. There are many other personalities band musicians will recognize! Git gud by raising stats – Stats will have an impact on your skills during combat, and they also affect your relationship with the girls. In other words, shape up to be the ideal man for the best results! Forge Relationships – Get to know your waifu on a personal level by being around her and talking about stuff. Sure, she’ll think you’re a creep at first, but persistence is key! As she eventually warms up to you, find out how there’s more to her than meets the eye. Multiple Endings – What’s waiting for your squire at the end of the journey? Make decisions that will end up great or turn out to be otherwise. Partially Voiced – So you can hear your waifus partially express their partially undying love for you! Mature Content – This game contains subjects and themes your parents warned you about as a kid. Moddable Content – The game will support simple modding on release. To be discussed in a future update. Original Soundtrack – We want you to experience the feels while playing this game, and our soundtrack will see to that! Having lived most of his life as a farm boy, you take control of the inexperienced and carefree Squire. Watch him grow to become the ideal man and overcome the various challenges he's yet to face. His fate (and virginity) rests in your hands. Depending on how smooth the development goes, we're looking at a late-2018 to mid-2019 release for Love Esquire. It will be distributed on Steam and Itch.io (Windows/Mac/Linux), followed by a mobile release (Android/iOS) a few months after. We don't have any plans for a console release, but that's something we might possibly consider once the game is out. The Letter was a successful Kickstarter project and a highly-rated game; it is our validation to everyone that we're not only capable of completing this project, but also delivering it up to standards. She'll tackle criminals all day, and then sweep you into her arms and sing karaoke with you all night. Or she’ll challenge you to a race, then feel bad that she didn’t let you win. Romanceable Gloria Miller The sweet Community Affairs Supervisor who wants to keep everyone's spirits up in these dark times. Born in Camden she isn't fully aware of the harsh realities of the surface. Bored of living underground she wants to either shake things up or escape. Romanceable Micah Everett A perfectionist with an eloquent way of speaking, and a quiet voice. Can seem distant at first, but will open up as you get to know him. Tries to throw himself into work as much as possible, and as the community’s head doctor no one tries to stop him. Romanceable Vince Head of security, strict at work, but a caring and sensitive father and friend. Adores his daughter, single but not looking (Sorry Iris), acts as a father figure to Eva, good sense of humor Tabby Sweet little Tabby, likes to study in the gym. 8 years old. Lonely. Smarter than other kids her age. She may think you’re a bit dumb, but is happy to tutor you. Friendable Iris A man crazy flirt with a big smile and a lot of sass. Fun, outgoing, likes just about everyone but her ex. Acts like the southern-belle of Camden. Sam Bad-ass bartender who's been to hell and back. Runs Icarus. Took a young Jude in when she was 17 and they have been family ever since. Don’t steal from her or she will stab you. No really. A lot of attitude and sass. Protective of her loved ones. Friendable Bryan Handsome, charming, friendly, and utterly useless at his job. Has a huge crush on the grumpy librarian, and spends his time at the library when he isn’t napping at work. Trevor Grumpy librarian, not a people-person, may like Bryan more than he seems to, likes books and hates people, would prefer if you just never went to the library ever, dislikes Gloria Miller. Choosing your specialties and making decisions will be incredibly important and it will also increase the game replayability. Everything counts! But consider… It will take time, which you won’t be able to spend to acquire new skills. Hmm, decisions, decisions… Every time you level up and/or between chapters the game will give you the following option: What shall we do? What you decide to do it's up to you. A better Acropolis will mean a better defense against incursions, better morale for your heroines and other buffs. There is a lot to build but those kind of improvements are designed to make the general environment a better place for you. On the other side, skills bring more specific bonuses. Of course the angry men and the soldiers will not remain idle for long. They didn’t like Lisistrata’s little plan one bit and they will do everything in their power to sabotage your rebellion. They will strike back quickly and it will be quite challenging to survive. Your Skills under a magnifying glass Everything you do, every path you take, every decision you make will present the player with small challenges to overcome: Skill checks. On a successful skill check the player may acquire various advantages that will help the game progression in general; upon a failed skill check the consequences may vary from minor to catastrophic and they may be suffered immediately or later in the game. Therefore, it’s not advisable to Swim if your character has not yet unlocked that ability, you may regret this... Death in this game is permanent. Turn Based Combat Strategize with party order, party composition, and unlocked skills against a huge variety of enemies. When diplomacy fails, it’s time to put your abilities to good use! Each one of our heroines have their own strengths and weaknesses so be careful and evaluate the situation very carefully before choosing who to bring with you in combat. Managing a good mix of abilities is the key to victory. Also we've added some modern RPG concepts on top of this structure; these include AoEs, DoTs, grapples and combos, creating a tactical battle full of depth. Who will oppose you... Our heroines! Between mixed memories and unexplainable events, he meets three girls who’ll change his life: Innocent Shizune and her mysterious sketchbook, the alluring vice-director Nao and Supra with her sad eyes If Eiza wants to break free from his cage, he has no other choice than investigate and discover the truth about who he is and what he has done MUSIC To give a better feel old style we decided to use the YM-2608 sound chip (used for many pc-98 games like Yu-No) and some tracks accompanied by MIDI 90s Gameplay and INFO It’s a medium-length novel where the player can interact with the main characters and take crucial decisions that will shape the course of the story. The choices will mostly revolve around the type of attitude the player can assume in response to the characters they’re interacting with, and to the different mysteries they’re bound to encounter and deal with. There are two different routes per possibile love interest, a good ending and 2 bad ending, for a total of six routes. Once it will be reached the goal of 8500$, there will be the opportunity of playing the game from Supra’s perspective. There could be scenes classified as “ecchi”, but nothing explicit. CHARACTERS When Eiza wakes up in jail, he remembers only two things: His name and the fact that he’s not a terrorist, not matter what the government says. He dreams of flames and people screaming, but his instinct tells him he’s missing a piece of the puzzle; there must be more, another explanation. He knows he’s not a terrorist, but the world seems to think the opposite. If only he could remember… Nao’s the seductive vice-director of Ori Asylum. She moves like a queen between the peasants, her tone and words are aimed to please, tantalize and manipulate. Her sparkly eyes know more of what she lets surface, her taunting smirk is a dangerous provocation. She has one priority and it’s herself, she would do anything to protect what’s hers and obtain what she desires. Nao likes to play with people and uses it to her own advantage. She makes use of her power and influence to control the Asylum, even if she despises it and its guests Supra is one of the nurses at Ori Asylum. The woman hides every emotion and thought behind a cold mask of indifference or exasperation; she has a detached attitude and sharp tongue that make it difficult for others to approach her. However, when she’s treating her patients, or when she lowers her guard, a caring fondness emerges and gives the hints of a gentle heart. Supra rarely loses her temper, managing to keep under control both herself and the situation at hand. She’s the main responsible of the patients affected by dementia and other patiens like Shizune Shizune is a shy girl, patient of the Ori Asylum, who seems to have often her head in the clouds; she’s easily frightened and intimidated, but this is not going to stop her curiosity and gentle heart. Her kind smile is a balsam for the soul and, even if she speaks cryptically, a fond sweetness always lies in her tone. Her innocence and naivety resemble the one of a child, but that’s not a reason to underestimate her bravery or passion.   16. Hello! My name's Luther, I'm the game designer on a new game that combines elements of Visual Novels and Roguelikes called 'Ambition: Minuet in Power'. We launched on Kickstarter a few weeks ago and we're already 71% funded. In Ambition, you play at Yvette, a woman of fashion in France right before the revolution. Yvette wants power, wealth and love, by any means necessary. Attend parties, charm guests, seduce powerful people and snub your enemies. However, the revolution is approaching and you must be careful, in order to survive, you'll need to end up on the winning side of history. Some random thoughts about the game: Every playthrough is different! Characters that appear in one playthrough may not appear in another. History is a mystery! The revolution might win this time, or it might not, carefully observe political events and adapt as they unfold, in order to avoid the guillotine. Revolutionary fashion! All the outfits worn in the game are based on actual paintings and fashion plates from the period. Strut like a queen, or march like a Jacobin! Both male and female romance options will be available (hence the GxB&G tag).   17. Hello everyone! Our two-person team at Woodsy Studio is excited to officially announce Echoes of the Fey - Episode 2: The Last Sacrament. It's actually pretty far along in production right now (about 75% complete), but we're running a Kickstarter to help us to the finish line and fund all of the features we want to implement (such as more CGs and voice acting). The Echoes of the Fey series mixes a high fantasy setting with the mysteries and conspiracies of pulp detective fiction. Play as Sofya Rykov, a private investigator with a secret of her own: she is the only Human able to wield unlimited magic. Her country of Oraz is recovering from a 30-year war between Humans and Leshin (elves) over the use of Fey energy, so her unstable magic is best kept secret. Sofya herself is an unusual protagonist. For starters, we gave her personality traits typically given to the male leads of hard-boiled mystery tales. She sports a sassy, optimistic attitude that laughs in the face of danger, but this is a cover for the fear and helplessness underneath. As a result she sleeps around, drinks heavily, and knows she could die at any moment from the strange magic trapped inside of her. In The Last Sacrament, Sofya’s childhood love and the Emperor’s daughter, Katerina, seeks her protection from threats near the border. Meanwhile Katerina’s rival, Nikolai, needs a dangerous drug stolen from the powerful Krovakyn Church and uses blackmails to force Sofya’s assistance. Nikolai wants a dose of the Sacrament, a mysterious substance from the Krovakyn Church that can cure illnesses and extend lifespans. But repeated use of the Sacrament causes strange side effects, such as hallucinations and physical deformities. Nikolai wants to give the Sacrament to his grandmother, who has already received the maximum dosage allowed. It’s up to you, the player, to solve each case and determine its outcome. Can you track down Katerina’s enemy? And if you manage to steal the Sacrament, what will you choose to do with it? You also have several romance options in The Last Sacrament. If you proceed carefully, you can develop a romantic relationship with Katerina, Arkady, Nikolai, or Heremon. Most of The Last Sacrament consists of traditional VN scenes with choices to direct the story. You can also roam the town of Vodotsk freely as a side-scrolling environment, which opens up side quests and optional investigation opportunities. But the most experimental aspect of Echoes of the Fey: The Last Sacrament is a complex mini-game called RiftRealms. This is a tabletop game that exists in the world of Echoes of the Fey, and as Sofya you can play with other characters. We thought this would be an interesting way to showcase each character’s personality based on how they treat you as a Dungeon master. It also explores the question: what do people fantasize about in a fantasy world? What I'd love to hear from you: 1) Feedback about RiftRealms Via the download-able demo, you can see the first few scenes of the game and try RiftRealms for yourself! We'd love to hear what people think of the mini-game and whether you feel it will be an enjoyable addition to the narrative experience. If you have any other specific feedback about the game right now we'd love to hear that, too 2) Feedback regarding technical game performance Due to the fact that we're building this game in Unreal Engine 4 and implementing some fancy 3D environments, we realize that playing the game will require a better graphics card and CPU than most visual novels. You can set the Overall Visual Quality to LOW in the Options menu if you have a lower-end computer. Either way, we'd love to get a general feel for how the game performs for the average player. PROGRESS The Kickstarter sadly wasn't funded, but we promised that we would stay hard-at-work on the game and ensure it released, though perhaps without all the features we hoped to fund. We anticipated an early 2018 release date, but the unsuccessful campaign and a Steam release of our latest game, miraclr: Divine Dating Sim put us a few months behind schedule. A few months later, we're excited to be ready to give an update on The Last Sacrament. The script is finished and 95% coded into the game. Almost all the art assets are complete and incorporated into the project. The soundtrack is complete except for a couple of remixes that we hope will be a fun surprise for our players. What's left to complete? First off, the remaining portions of the script we've yet to implement in the game. That last five percent is chronologically near the end of the game and (as a result) has more branches/possibilities than most scenes. Second, we're hoping to implement a dynamic version of RiftRealms, the RPG mini-game, so that if players enjoy it they can experience it at any time, not just when the story allows. Finally, the not-insignificant testing and optimization phase, where we'll iron out every bug we can find over the final stretch. So, when will you be able to play The Last Sacrament? As long as there aren't any more unexpected delays, we're aiming for a late May or June release on Steam/itch.io for Windows PCs. Console versions will likely be later this year.     Hello everyone! I'm posting this as Director of Sun-Riviera studios, a new studio that is currently creating and trying to successfully fund their first VN: Dawn drop. A bit about our team: As director I am from a animation,3-D modeling and Game design background and as such I have knowledge and experience over what is needed to make a successful game in terms of marketing, content, what works and what doesnt, and most importantly an eye for quality. Roles such as deadlines, writing and approval/decline of assets is handled by myself as well as advertisement and marketing. Our team of artists include a background artist, character designer and a clean up/final artist. Each artist was hand chosen and hired for being excellent at their craft, higher then normal. We have a in-house composer as well who studies music at their university. A programmer who is also a major in his field and a English major for editing. All these in order to assure the highest quality content. A steampunk/dieselpunk kind of world where airships are the main method of travel. Our story currently spans every nation faction within the world of Guns of Icarus and is expected to clock in past 700,000 word count. Being based within the world of Guns of Icarus, Dust and Air attempts to tell a story based on the pieces of lore that Muse has created. Their world lore is very open and vague, giving us plenty of room to flesh it out with this story. Our story is not canon, but it is within the realm of possibility and Muse could certainly choose to make some of it canon later.
