  1. Summary: One day, the face of the Earth was changed permanently when it came into contact with a mysterious force known as the “Alpha Nebula”. With it, humans developed various unexplainable abilities, and divided themselves based on those traits. The main factions include: The Tonitrui, the Excedente, the Praecantator, the Permuto, and the Northmanni. All have their own set of unique abilities that came with infamous Alpha Nebula collision, with the exception of the Northmanni who remain largely unchanged. Among these races however, existed a special group of people who managed to retain all the other race’s abilities. They were a very powerful, but small isolated group of people, called “emulators”. Arin Arlento was one of these people, living in a remote village with his grandfather and other emulators. All was going peacefully, until it was attacked by the Northmanni empire, who slaughtered his entire race and kidnapped his childhood friend, Aria. Being the only other survivor, Arin escaped into the Northmanni empire, hiding and plotting his revenge. That is until finding out that Aria is still alive, and is being experimented on by the Northmanni. Resentful of the world that took everything away from him, Arin begins his quest to retrieve his friend, and exact retribution on those who destroyed all that he held dear. Structure: the story would be mostly linear as the choices mostly appear during battle and have their instant bad ends attached to it. The common route before each branching point is not very long as it serves to introduce the heroine who you would be branching into. It has an enforced playing order of Alacria->Aniam->Luxia->Salia->Aria. Once the reader branches into the four other heroines the main story ends there and it focuses on the specific problems of the heroine. Aria’s route is the one true route and continues the main story to the epilogue. Setting: one of the main features of this story is that it is adventure styled. The protagonist and his posse of troubled combat capable girls move about on the various continents to seek new shelter. Each continent represents an ethnicity or fault of human nature. Northmanni- Mordern day society. Styled after Japan and America. Fulgur- represents humanity’s scientific progression and the harm it causes. Tribus- represents African tribalism and the cultural implications it puts on its people. Militum- represents medieval society and the militant nature of humanity. It shows the unnecessary need of humanity to go to war for power or greed. Salutem-represents humanity in it’s unevolved stage. Survival of the fittest. In a world where they can use the supernatural powers, high school students get into incident. Decades ago, mankind had found the new materials that can yield human to use supernatural powers. Only selected inborn children can use the powers, and they mostly choose to enter the military academy. The protagonist Eugene was only ordinary military school student, but he inevitably joins the military when the war begins. However, he encounters unexpected truth from the incidents.. *More synopsis & features beneath! Horizon of the Stars is visual novel and text adventure game. Here, we introduce you our characteristics. 1. Live2D. Every character in our game stays alive in the screen. They can blink their eyes, or smile, or breathe. Through using this technique, we are making our visual contents more animate. These moving is not made by video editing, but is by Live2D technology. 2. Shooting. Throughout The Horizon of Stars, Each character has to face the battle, to find their hidden secrets or, simply, to survive. Our game is turn-based shooting game. Through using their stones as media, they can execute supernatural powers. Supernaturals are divided into three categories: Attackers, Guardians, Amplifiers. The form of weapon is limitless, from swords to the dual wield pistons. They usually hold their stones in the form of accessories, and transform it to weapon when it’s necessary. However, battle planes can only be operated by inserting their stones. Military Academy Only top 0.1 percent inborn talent children enter National Military Academy. Eugene belongs to this school. Student usually joins the military right after the graduation. Relations Between Countries Heden (where Eugene belongs) and Sira have long history of the war. Nowadays, they have built the convivial relationship in various ways. However, when the ambassador was assassinated by the other, they quickly changed into combative relations. This incident influenced the relationships in extremely negative ways, that now they are about to raise the war. The Horizon of Three Seconds Enormous beam of light that covered the sky a decade ago.   8. Book of Zhu: Legacy is a visual novel starring Aya, princess, martial artist, and future empress of the Zhu empire, who will find herself faced with the reality of what the future holds for her. The world depicted in-game is inspired by Wuxia films, as well as anime such as Fist of the North Star, Kenichi, and Katanagatari, and is being painstakingly brought to life by my team and I for this Visual Novel and beyond. Over the course of the game you will experience firsthand the upper class of society within the country of Zhu, glimpses of the larger world, and of course many martial arts battles. The game will follow a central storyline focusing on Aya and how her life starts to change over the course of about a year, with differing choices available that change the details presented during the story and what aspects of the world come into focus. In addition to the central storyline there are several side paths focusing on specific characters that are mostly determined by who you spend the most time with and whose story you progress the most during the early parts of the game, though some alternate versions of paths are triggered by hidden flags and events. Some of these will be romantic in focus, but others will allow you to see different sides of various characters, experience different aspects of the world, as well as different fight sequences. The game will also be free. Aya: The protagonist, heiress to both the Imperial Throne and her family's martial arts style. She is a girl eager to prove herself as both a future leader and a fighter to her mother, the Empress. Rin: Aya's cousin and a fellow princess. She is renowned for both her beauty and talent in the magical arts. She doesn't take her position seriously and prefers to indulge in pleasure instead of studying or training. Rani: Aya's loyal bodyguard and best friend. Despite living in the palace she has a reputation as a thug and spends a lot of her free time dealing with low-lifes and delinquents. Dokura : Rani’s mother, loyal retainer for the Imperial family, and one of the Empire's most respected warriors. She is seen by Aya as an aunt of sorts, someone always looking out for her that she can turn to. The Empress: Aya's mother and the absolute ruler of their people. She is loved as a living representation of Zhu tradition and feared for the swift and harsh retribution that tradition demands. For better or worse every action she makes is part of a legacy she will leave behind for Aya someday. There are many more characters than just those, so expect more soon.   12. A collaborative group of friends and I decided one summer's day to begin creating a visual novel like no other. Turmoil of the Seven is a sci-fi RPG visual novel that takes seven factions of cultures widely known around the world, and places them in a futuristic, but chaotic universe. The protagonists of the Visual Novels depend on which of the four characters you would choose to pick. Tristen Talon, Ryou Hidekari, and Heinz Ritter are currently the three protagonists we have right now, the fourth protagonist is still being decided. The seven factions in the game are: The Alliance of Free Systems, The Honorable Shogunate of Hidekari, The Imperium of Weisslande, The Holy Mandate of Alvan, The Absolute and Royal Systems of Arthuria, The Galacian Empire of Alyssandria, and finally, The Union of Ursan Republics. These seven factions are the primary forces in the game right now, while we are currently creating minor factions that will be somewhat nomadic during gameplay. Summary - It's been 25 years since the nekos were freed, but things are no better now than they were years ago. Most live in slums and some resort back to selling their bodies or doing domestic work. Now with rumors of a conspiracy arising to send them back to slavery, a charismatic, charming, influential, likable, intelligent, and compassionate man is tasked and given the power to help hide the Nekos that poses as students in his school and help close the racial divide in society. Unfortunately however...you got it instead... Genre - Romantic Comedy/Mystery/Ecchi Gameplay - The players will play as Yutei Nagamichi, an angsty, stubborn, and hilarious smart-ass who has to collect clues to help him befriend and earn the trust of his peers and the Nekos in his school in order to convince them to join the Neko Club. Yutei must get them to join before they are captured by Detective Kowayama. The players will be given uneasy choices to choose from to try and achieve this goal. The players will face several obstacles. First and foremost is that the cat girls he has to help start off as very irritating and provocative, which might make the players want to choose certain options like witty comebacks instead of more friendly and submissive choices. Second is that on occasions, Detective Kowayama will interrupt the flow of the story with plot twists in an attempt to put the main character on edge. A third obstacle in this game is the main character himself. If he suppresses his emotions too much, Yutei will begin to detonate and his rash emotions will definitely hurt his chances of befriending the Nekos. In short, it's a balancing act between making friends and being true to himself. The players should pay very special attention to what the characters in the game are saying and piece together the clues to evoke the right reactions. This takes some social skills which Yutei does not have. When provoked, Yutei will start to unravel the dialogue choices the players have made and naturally self sabotage his own goals due to anger and impulsiveness. For most of their life their goal was to use their ability at least once. After that was achieved there was no plan, Seer simply expected to be satisfied with life. However, upon seeing what the future holds Seer immediately created a new goal, finding their future spouse. But then after finding them Seer decided they’d have to get married before they could be fully content. Once that inevitably occurs, who knows? Seer has an odd habit of phrasing things in unnecessarily suspicious ways, that coupled with the way they dress causes them to come across as creepy within Normal society. Seer doesn’t seem to mind. Kea is a police officer who recently transferred to the capital of Vespen in order to work undercover. The job requires an officer to infiltrate a street gang that mainly recruits young teens off the street, hence the outfit they’ve got on. Kea was requested specifically due to their youthful stature and fitting personality, since in informal situations Kea is chatty, fast-talking, and can easily come across as rude or uncultured. While on the job Kea speaks and behaves (somewhat) more seriously. Despite technically being in charge, they are the black sheep of the group. While everyone else is perfectly comfortable bending or even out right breaking the law Kea is, naturally, not so keen on that. But, no matter how often Kea intentionally or accidentally isolates themselves from the others and how much they cause disagreements, they don’t actually want it to be that way. They’d like to get along with the team and have a positive impact on situations, it just seems impossible because of their position. Mapmaker and item collector extraordinaire Piper wouldn’t normally have a reason to be in the capital, however this is an unusual time for her. She is currently on hiatus. She chose to take a break because constant work had worn her down. Before she felt duty call and joined the adventure she had been spending her days wearing nice clothing and drinking tea while discussing good books with pleasant ladies. However, Piper has no intention of wasting time sulking over the loss of the last part of her time off from ruin trekking. In fact, she doesn’t seem to ever spend time being in a poor mood. Piper treats others in a friendly and casual manner but is nothing near an open book. She’s deeply enigmatic. Her courteous nature stems entirely from social obligations rather than genuine interest and that fact becomes rather obvious if you try speaking with her for any extended period of time. January is a man of massive importance and wealth in the region of Vespen, though only due to inheriting it. He has been the Duke of a significant family ever since his mother passed away a few years prior. That title is no longer bestowed and every other house in Vespen that had the title at one point has had the lineage die out. With an heirless only child as a Duke, January’s family is currently one step away from joining those other houses in being stripped of their clout. The weight of being the last true noble in the region has not been lost on January. The entire point of the trip is escorting January to a safe house, so in that sense he is an important member of the team. But only in that sense. January isn’t allowed to do anything, much to his frustration. Because of his sheltered upbringing January has spent his entire life having people assume he’s useless or an easy target. It is unclear if the group thinks the same way or if they are simply overprotective. Upon first meeting January he comes across as rather skittish. After Seer shows him his future he resolves to change the way he lives his life. From then on he begins to act more indignant and reckless. He is going to be a contributing member of the team, whether the rest of the group wants him to or not. *Not Pursueable* Trinette is the leader of a bounty hunting gang. The group is famous for its efficiency and willingness to work outside what is legal. However, lawlessness is the last thing you’ll find within the group itself. It is highly organized and functions essentially the way a normal business does. Every employee has a set wage, time off, health coverage, etc. The reason this criminal gang functions this way is because Trinette’s background is mainly in finances. After working for many reputable companies she decided to start a company of her own. She chose a bounty hunting gang simply because it was a position that needed to be filled in the area. If you can look past all her wrongdoing and not take what she does in her job personally, Trinette is a rather amiable woman. Thanks for checking this thread out! After that you can decide to end the game by going steady with her or go on more dates with her or one of the other girls. The girls: Samantha is an otaku who loves everything Japanese. She is kind and a bit shy. She currently works a retail job to help her pay for her college classes. Defeated by the forces of the Western Coalition, they fell into a state of constant civil unrest and uprisings against the foreign forces. Eventually, a new nationalist movement claiming to restore the old order managed to establish itself and forced the Coalition troops off the mainland within a decade after the end of the war, with only the westernmost island of Honto remaining firmly under control of the foreigners. In the rest of the country, the established democratic structures were abolished and replaced by a pseudo-democratic feudal system in which everybody still has the right to vote but the vote of someone not born into a low class is only worth one tenth of that of higher blood. Of course, with large parts of the Western world against them, the government of Zipang (calling itself the Gohzoku) has more than enough problems running the country, especially economically. Many people live in poverty, and the Gohzoku blames that on the influence of saboteurs, spies and traitors working for the foreign devils. Each week, people suspected of collaboration are arrested and disappear. Every week, someone found guilty is publicly executed. Basic Plot In this bleak world, Yuu has lived a relatively sheltered life. His father died during the war, and his mother took him with her to her parents's house in the countryside until she disappeared in the years of civil unrest in Zipang. Yuu's grandparents on his mother's side raised him, but neither of them could replace his real parents, and he grew up a self-absorbed and egotistical young man. Now his life has suddenly taken a turn for the better. His grandfather on his father's side – a former navy admiral who managed to keep both his fame and wealth during the years of turmoil – recently died and left Yuu his mansion and his wealth under the condition that he never fires the head maid, Takako. This seems quite strange since Takako is still a young woman – could she have meant something more than just a maid to the old man? As Yuu moves in and finds himself in the position as the household's master, he slowly learns that the mansion is more than he thought: Some of the maids act in strange manners, and a government inspector of the Gohzoku is keeping a close eye on the place, determined to uncover its secrets. Rumours say that Yuu's grandfather was a dissident to the government, and that he actively used his mansion as a grounds to hide his co-conspirators. However, now with Yuu taking over the household, many in the government and local townsfolk question whether or not there was any validity to such tales to begin with. Having said that, the fact that Takako was specificially mentioned in his grandfather's will that she not be fired, is troublesome to Yuu, and makes him especially curious about why she's so important. Can she be trusted? He wasn't even all that close to his own grandfather to begin with, as the shared a troubled, strained relationship. How can he trust anyone at this newly-inherited mansion? When the story begins... While playing, you will get to decide whether or not Yuu will tread carefully with his newfound lordship over others. Based on your own actions and actions with other characters, you may end up with one of several different endings (10) for the initial game... Will you allow yourself to be easily influenced? Or will you be harsh and stern, demanding "favors" in return for your hospitality? Are you sympathetic to the government's rebels or are you a staunch protector of the status quo? Regardless, its made clear that the government is watching you, and is keeping tabs on where your loyalty lies - that their secret police examine your every move. The safety or yourself, your maids, and the Gohzoku government may rest with you - all because you inherited a mansion in the countryside. Will the transition to you as the master of this Maid Mansion be tranquil and easy, or downright chaotic? The choice is yours.   21. Hi, guys! We just started with a project called "Monster Prom". It's a game meant to be played from 1 to 4 players that mixes "choose-your-own-adventure" and "dating sim" mechanics. You will have a limited number of turns to explore a highschool full of weird and amazing events that will let you meet your six classmates. Each event will let you raise or lose your stats and improve or mess with your relationship with the NPCs. In the end you will ask one of the NPCs to go to prom with you. Similar to The Yawhg (Awesome game, check it out!) We're planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign soon!   22. We at 7 Keys Studios have finally launched the crowdfunding campaign for Angels - our vision of a next generation SciFi VR Visual Novel. This comes in parallel to making Chapter 1 available for free on Steam. Find the media kit here. The goal of the campaign is to raise enough money to finance the production of the rest of the story, which is fully voiced and works on a variety of platforms. The production began when Milan Kazarka the creator of the Invisible Apartment visual novel series met with Stan Kuhn who’s been creating virtual and augmented reality products for an assortment of clients. Angels & Demigods was a story which Milan had in store for years, waiting for the right platform to release it on. Stan had the software platform ready to create a new visual novel engine that would bring the genre into VR. The plan was not to reinvent the genre in 3D, but rather to use the best of the principles from making traditional visual novel games, keep the art number one priority and work around the fact that high resolution illustrations are better than 3D textures. We managed to create an immersive experience by carefully working with high-resolution illustrations rather than 3D models. This focus on art-style, the atmosphere makes the experience so authentic and the game so unique and fit for VR. Unlike many current VR games we designed Angels & Demigods around the idea of storytelling in VR, so it’s not just straight up port of existing game mechanics. It’s a unique experience. We work with some great artists and musicians - Henrique “Kite” Xavier who has worked on the Invisible Apartment series, Roly Porter who’s been recognized by Rolling Stone as a musician you should know, Sebastian Bach combining classical and electronic music and voice actors like Sally Feng and JB Coleman. Angels & Demigods is a tribute to both SciFi and anime. It’s a manifestation of ideas collected over the course of many years. - “Angels & Demigods is a story and a set of ideas I had on my mind and on paper in my drawer for a long time waiting for the right moment.
