  3. A collaborative group of friends and I decided one summer's day to begin creating a visual novel like no other. Turmoil of the Seven is a sci-fi RPG visual novel that takes seven factions of cultures widely known around the world, and places them in a futuristic, but chaotic universe. The protagonists of the Visual Novels depend on which of the four characters you would choose to pick. Tristen Talon, Ryou Hidekari, and Heinz Ritter are currently the three protagonists we have right now, the fourth protagonist is still being decided. The seven factions in the game are: The Alliance of Free Systems, The Honorable Shogunate of Hidekari, The Imperium of Weisslande, The Holy Mandate of Alvan, The Absolute and Royal Systems of Arthuria, The Galacian Empire of Alyssandria, and finally, The Union of Ursan Republics. These seven factions are the primary forces in the game right now, while we are currently creating minor factions that will be somewhat nomadic during gameplay.   5. Summary: One day, the face of the Earth was changed permanently when it came into contact with a mysterious force known as the “Alpha Nebula”. With it, humans developed various unexplainable abilities, and divided themselves based on those traits. The main factions include: The Tonitrui, the Excedente, the Praecantator, the Permuto, and the Northmanni. All have their own set of unique abilities that came with infamous Alpha Nebula collision, with the exception of the Northmanni who remain largely unchanged. Among these races however, existed a special group of people who managed to retain all the other race’s abilities. They were a very powerful, but small isolated group of people, called “emulators”. Arin Arlento was one of these people, living in a remote village with his grandfather and other emulators. All was going peacefully, until it was attacked by the Northmanni empire, who slaughtered his entire race and kidnapped his childhood friend, Aria. Being the only other survivor, Arin escaped into the Northmanni empire, hiding and plotting his revenge. That is until finding out that Aria is still alive, and is being experimented on by the Northmanni. Resentful of the world that took everything away from him, Arin begins his quest to retrieve his friend, and exact retribution on those who destroyed all that he held dear. Characters: Main Supporting The northmanni president- a figurehead. Kato uses a lame looking man as his representative to throw off the other representatives and the general public. Ace- the leader of the tonitrui and the father of Alacria. Has a twisted fatherly love for his daughter thinking that she needs only what he provides for her to live. Boyd- the leader of the excedente. Brutish and heavily ethnic. Believes in the rule of survival of the fittest. Greta- the leader of the praecantator and a very sly and cunning woman. Plans to use Luxia as a trump card to start an all-out war. Heavily militant. Kara- the leader of the permuto and a very lazy and carefree woman. Cheshire-the personal maidservant to Alacria. She was the one of the best assassins in the tonitrui secret service and has developed very deep attachments to Alacria. Kora- Aniam’s mother and the one who trained her. She is very harsh to Aniam in front of other but is very kind and loving when they were alone together. Choza- a childhood friend of Luxia who was killed because he was ‘weakening’ luxia’s fighting ability. Structure: the story would be mostly linear as the choices mostly appear during battle and have their instant bad ends attached to it. The common route before each branching point is not very long as it serves to introduce the heroine who you would be branching into. It has an enforced playing order of Alacria->Aniam->Luxia->Salia->Aria. Once the reader branches into the four other heroines the main story ends there and it focuses on the specific problems of the heroine. Aria’s route is the one true route and continues the main story to the epilogue. Setting: one of the main features of this story is that it is adventure styled. The protagonist and his posse of troubled combat capable girls move about on the various continents to seek new shelter. Each continent represents an ethnicity or fault of human nature. Northmanni- Mordern day society. Styled after Japan and America. Fulgur- represents humanity’s scientific progression and the harm it causes. Tribus- represents African tribalism and the cultural implications it puts on its people. Militum- represents medieval society and the militant nature of humanity. It shows the unnecessary need of humanity to go to war for power or greed. Salutem-represents humanity in it’s unevolved stage. Survival of the fittest.   6. I've been working hard on this visual novel for the past 3 years, and I was hoping to find some people to read over the rough draft. Please tell me about spelling errors, grammar errors, plot holes, I want to know everything. If you think a line should be written better, or even if you have an idea for a scene that should be added, please tell me. If you help me make the visual novel better, by finding mistakes or adding suggesting, I will add your name to the credits. I'm mainly concerned about plot holes and making sure the entire story makes sense to everyone. I would strongly like to note that this rough draft does NOT contain the character development episodes, which aren't required for understanding the characters or the story, but they do help you understand the characters a little bit more. I have them done, but I want to re-write them to make them better. Inside the folder you may notice a TXT document labeled, EXTRA INFO. It contains information and questions on the things that happened in the story that are not explained. I plan on adding this to the visual novel later as an unlockable "Ask Rika" mode. Lately im going translate more info about synopsis, about our heroes and ongoing news about project. Hi! I’m the head writer and author of the idea of Everlasting Cold. I'll tell you more about our project and explain some of details in this post. Also it should be noticed that English is not our team's native language, so this text right bellow can be a little rough. About our story. One of the main target for story – "globalising" from the start to the end. So it starts with simple idea – protagonist gets to a student base placed far away from civilisation. And this base is not from our world. It looks positive and kind, and it seems nothing bad will happen here. That's not the worst place to spend your last days of life… …Last days? Yes – this place is going to die. And all who lives here too. Can you change it? Can you stop it? Or you just want to take a rest before death? More strange things will happen then. More new characters will be involved to the story. It starts with just one hero but will grow and grow. It transforms into game about this world. Then – many worlds like this place but not only one parallel world system. Right now we have more then 10 characters in our story and 5 chapters that contains around 160 000 words. Story includes 3 big parts. First one is now complete. There is about 15 hours of gemeplay. Our objective time – ~60 hours. And if we will have enough support we can extend our universe for more chapters and side-chapters about LORE, characters or just interesting filler stories in it. Which genre is it? It is a complex story, so it consist of a lot of different things, Sometime it goes more psychologic thriller, sometime more like detective. also it contains a lot of philosophy about life in society, some magic, things bring us to fights, violence, sex, MORE MAGIC AND BATTLES and more philosophy. It's really hard to explain a genre of Everlasting Cold. It’s a complex composition of many things I want to see in one story. What is the main problem for us? Before I answer this question, I have to explain one important thing about this project. It’s a long story, but it will help you to understand our present situation. I started this novel at 27'th January of 2015. And started with simple idea whith a story about a man, who tired of world he lives in and can’t find place for himself. And those days I was alone without resources and experience in making novels. But the idea looked interesting. So I made one of the most decision – take some graphics from another project to design the novel. So as my goal was to create interesting story and show it to people. It doesn't looks bad. I never wanted to make it commercial or so, just tried to find more audience to read it. You can say it's bad idea or not, so it is a really long discussion, but that was the start. Soon after that some people read the story and enjoy it. Some was inspired of idea and joined to team that started to grow. Arts, music and technical parts came to the project after that. And it goes bigger. We tried to work enthusiastic. But it's not so efficient. So in fact it is some sort of modification (but almost nothing similar with novel I took resources from). At 11.17.2016 we finished 1st part of story. And for now it’s bigger and way more complex then novel I took resources from. And we come to the conclusion “we can't move forward as a mod. We must to transform it to a full and independent novel”. But major problem is just like at start – we don't have enough good artists who can draw a lot of backgrounds, arts, sprites to make it looks at almost professional level (I don’t think a good idea would be making average graphic content. Because it's a face of whole project, that's how it looks, how it feels. It's really important). So now we are looking for artist who can help us. And looking for support to hire good artist. But! Novels in our region are almost dead. #Minimal demand, poor audience, (that’s why it's almost impossible to make non-pop novels here. Forgot to say – we are from Russia). And the only way to continue working on this big project is to translate it into English. How it will looks as independent project? It will be not just simple change of some resources. For now I call it like “Rebuild” version. As I said – I start it with small idea and then team. In those days I didn’t know how big it will be. Opening chapters are not as good, as I want to. And it's not for wide audience – some things might take big attention to details. So we are working on complete rewriting of opening chapters. Add new characters in it, solve some misc LORE differences with later chapters, #improve some character's identity, totally build our own setting. That's a lot of work for now. Characters which was taken from that novel will be redesign completely and redrawn. As all backgrounds. So as “Rebuild” version it would looks a lot different as it looks now. What is our main goal for now? Finish 1st chapter and make it readable and playable again in Russian and English languages. We need to hire a high quality translator for this. Text have to look perfect (not like this post :D). So any support can help us to speed up this process. This is because I spend a lot of time trying to find somebody, who can help us and spend thousands of hours to discuss it and it's not really helps a lot. So if I can focus on scenario and we will not have problems with graphics, we can release it faster then current development speed. Just a quick answers at the end. Will it be free? Yes, it will be completly free all time. How it will releasing? We are going to expanding story chapter by chapter as soon as it possible. We had big plans for on going chapter, but was stoped becouse of this situation. So we go forward after rebuilding current material. I know it sounds weird, but he's actually my japanese pen pal, i just recently got to meet him, and since i discovered he was also an otaku, it was even easier for me to talk to him, i mean, it's been only 3 days since i got my vacations for Japan, and i'm already hanging out with a bunch of japanese dudes. Gaijin-san : You can speak with yourself Mister Takao, it was just thinking about...stuff, stranger stuff as you may think, you know, i'm not really a NEET, i do have a job and all, but i prefer to drow myself into otaku stuff and all. And we continued, laughing and talking about stupid shit and anime...everywhere on screens, you could see the new Berserk anime made by Ufotable, new ads for some weird eroge as well as ads for creepy maid café...on the streets, you could see some Jietai patrols, equiped with modern, but they completely feel normal, compared to the HUGE amount of cosplayers roaming the streets, cosplay of every thing, from lusty maids to some crazy characters. In short, Akiba was a heaven for me...if only, it didn't happen, my biggest fear... Takao : Eh, why did the sky suddenly turn dark? Gaijin-san : what do you...what... In one instant, the whole scenery changed, the peaceful akiba turned into hell, as the sky darkened, multiple....things fell to the ground, struck to towers, buildings or even the streets, the debris fell over us, and...nearly killed us. Gaijin-san : guys! we must get the fuck out of here, run to the metro station! Now! But as i was yelling, one of the things well on our position, crushing the ribs of one of Takao's friend...it took us a whole minute to awake again...unfortunately, one of us didn't make it. Takao: Kuso kuso kuso! what do we do now?! what the hell is happening here! We didn't even have the time to think of something, a ship approached us...no doubt was possible. As i arrived to the armory, only 3 soldiers were here: The first of them, a tall slavic guy, with long white hairs, a big scar on his left cheek, and an adidas-inspired strips on his armor, a sniper rifle -the PGM Hecate II, with the inscriptions "Vodka for life", his name : Corporal Vlad "Voko" Brejnev, a fine soldier from the czech army, even if he's...rather lunatic, and mostly speak with dank memes. The second soldier, a bit shorter, with a brown skin, black hairs and a juvenile, beardless face, his name : Ahmed "HuMaN" Iskander, a Palestinian soldier under the Jordanese army...with an israeli flag...yeh, the flag was my idea, i wanted to mess up with him, if you've seen his face, magad it was funny. It's a tradition to do a bit of tease with new soldiers, and he wasn't the exception to the rule. He was our demolition experts, always carrying a standard FuwaCOM assault rifle and X-04 explosives. ZodiaX is in extremely early development. Currently, the game is targeted towards Yaoi audiences, though when we finally begin a KS, we plan to add a funding goal that, if met, will allow us to use a female character as the main protagonist. Ah also! The banner above is just our first designs of our characters. Already they're all going through changes; just wanted to give you guys a bit of an idea as to our very rough sketches. This game is a huge undertaking, and as there are over 36 different endings, we want to make each route as different as possible, so there's little to no repetition. We want to keep the replay value high, and offer our players the most interaction possible between characters. There will be an in-game meter that will keep track of your relationship status with each character, whether negative or positive. Each choice you make will cause that meter to rise or fall, depending on said character's preferences and feelings towards Aster. ZodiaX will have many different branches, and each character's route will intertwine with one to three others, so that the player gets to see different sides and facets of each character depending on who they choose to pursue. Not only will players make romantic choices, but they'll also be making big decisions that affect the world around them. Do you save a little boy, and let Voidwalkers destroy and kill a family-run shop? Do you sacrifice one of your friends to keep the Barrier up and Elune safe? Do you side with the Company and figure the world needs a reset, or do you simply choose to wash your hands of your hometown and run away with your lover? With a myriad of different decisions, we want to keep our players as engaged as possible. Manage Respect, Relationships, and Mental will when making decisions. Assigning team members to missions best suited for them. Discovering weaknesses to epic enemies through investigations. Collecting real world lore and in game lore by discovering hidden items. Unlocking secrets of the past by collecting memory gems. Making timed decisions and avoiding damage in high intensity situations. Leveling up your characters to specialize in unique skills. Time In the game, everything will cost time to complete and characters may be away, unable to do a task available. Time is managed by the player and he has 6 months to prepare to face Nun. Special events will happen at certain times such as full moon cycles, changing of season, etc. This will give the player a level of management that makes them feel immersed. Leveling Each character has core stats which helps them succeed in feats. Completing certain missions and training will gain you very limited talent points to specialize your character in lore friendly ways. Respect You are a leader. You must earn the respect of your soldiers! Decisions you make and the success of those decisions will affect the confidence your allies have in you. If you fail a lot, they will lose confidence and go rogue during critical decisions. You may even lose command. A true Pharaoh never loses command… Kinship While how successful you are in decision making and your sense in the field affects the way they see you, it does not help one bit on how they think of you as a person. In order to get on their good side, you must appeal to their innate personalities. One cannot please everyone so make your choices wisely. It is worth noting that Kinship affects how allies act when not around you or when not commanded. Stability You are the strongest. Unfortunately, you are also the most flawed… You have an issue with Dementia and you must suppress these voices throughout your time in the Rift. The tradeoff is considerable though because when you were young, and you let the voices run wild, you could do things others could only dream of. In these dark days, will you allow your mind to slip in order to wield more power or will you avoid such pleasures and rely on knowledge of self? The rift has stood for thousands of years, since the day Nun arrived from the planet Nibiru. Located in the barren lands of Canaan, this void was created to keep the outside world uncontaminated while Nun worked on his creations. He spent centuries studying the humans and when he figured out this world, he created ancients similar to the life found on his home planet. They warred with each other inside the Rift until only 3 families remained. When they left the Rift, Nun used a stability gem to alter reality and hide the incomprehensible damage done. But now, thousands of years since the great sundering, Nun has created another race of beings to combat his creations from ions past. In order for them to prove themselves, they must survive the Rift, as it were during the time of the ancients. Stability is no more! Can the mortals survive the Trials of the Rift? There are many different types of quests in Black Sands. We will briefly go through some of them to better understand the gameplay mechanics involved in each. In Black Sands, time, health, and deployment all work against you as you stride to prepare yourself for the final battle with Nun. Scouting - designed to seek new quests exclusively. Minimal danger Investigation - A quest that requires discipline and perception. Player must decipher material and decide what is important and not. Proper investigation rewards secrets. Tracking - This is an extremely heavy skill check category that requires quick decision making and a little luck. These missions are available only once before they go back into the quest pool. Social - This is a quest where you develop relationships with the other characters and learn more about them. Instant Events - Automatically happen when certain criteria are met. May have nothing to do with prior tasks. Group Events - The entire group must participate. Nun will go over your notes and inspect your facility whenever this happens. Epic Events - Storyline Events that are either triggered by actions or chose by the player. These tend to have more decision making then other events. Exploration - A quest designed to explore unknown locations. These quests have no prior knowledge so player must use their wits to move forward. The farther you get, the better the rewards. These missions can be ended at any time but there is no guarantee you can return. This game is directly inspired by Dragon Age and Telltale. Their strong narratives and crucial game changing decisions inspired me to design a visual novel unlike any before it. Additional motivation was found in the way Hollywood depicts middle eastern and Saharan people. We do a lot of research and use annotations in game to teach the actual history behind the fantasy of our world. Future We will be converting all sprites to Live2d and making them look a bit more realistic and 20x more brutal. In march I started development process and maked some dozens of mistakes. It was painful experience - yeah... But, i didn't give up and finally have a playable variant of the game. The main story line is that you and your friend, with two your girlfriends do to camping in forest without parents control for a three days. And you wont to make it like an adult.   19. VN Overview You may have heard the occasional theory of a potential catgirl 'dystopia' in a certain popular catgirl VN. (given that in a sense catgirls in that world could basically be seen as slaves). This visual novel will take that theory to a logical extreme in that sense. Catgirls will be used and abused negatively by humans and it will eventually turn into a rebellion/war started by those who want to fight for Catgirl rights. There will be a decent amount of realistic military action, the setting will take place in Japan (of course). At the moment, we're planning to have 3 routes. This VN at the moment is not going to have explicit H scenes. Current Project Team I'm currently the project manager of this whole VN We have the main writer who's written the major scenarios planned out, as well as a timeline (history wise) as well as a timeline that will be referred to for writing specific scenarios We have an editor who mostly reviews our scenario documents, records meetings when we have them and will likely be an editor of the VN when it's released We have a programmer who will be programming the VN through Renpy We have someone who will contribute to making music There are a few people who came up with the original idea of the VN and have helped make some character concepts. Current Progress At this point we have the major scenarios planned for this VN written out. We also have all the major characters' personalities and backstories written up in addition to a few secondary characters. We have Renpy set up and know some general ideas of how we're going to use it. Our next task, in addition to looking for art, is to start actually writing dialogue. Looking for Artist Right now, we're looking for an Artist. For the most part, we just want art that we think would be fitting for the setting and plot. That said, we're very open to artist interpretation and freedom. Our highest priority at the moment is looking for someone who can at least make art for our characters given their personalities and physical descriptions. Backgrounds would be nice too but since one of our teammates is currently living in Japan, he can easily take photos and blur them a bit. We have a Discord server where we keep all our documentation (we'd rather not show it publicly at the moment) so if/when an artist joins our group, we'd like for him/her to join the Discord server to read the documentation as well as post progress for us. Just a thing before we continue, if it isn't too much to ask, we would like to post our project that fuwanovel in order to create more exposure for it; with this being our first project, it is important that we can get people in the community to know who we and what we're making. Bloody Chronicles - New Cycle of Death Bloody Chronicles is a visual novel and Igrasil Studio’s first project. The plot focuses on Kazuki, who has lost his parents in an accident. After graduating from the police academy, he was recruited by Igrasil, a non-governmental organization which solves murders the police deem are impossible to explain due to lack of evidence. Kazuki’s partners include the crazy and funny Ishikawa siblings, Kaoru Moriyama (the daughter of a millionaire and founder of the organization), and Suzumi, the head of the organization. The whole series will consist of 3 installments; the first part is “Act 1 - New Cycle of Death.” We’re aiming for the length of the entire series to consist of 40 hoursof gameplay, where the player will be able to make different decisions that will affect the ending. Like in most visual novels, the player will be able to establish close relationships with the series’ characters and get to know their personal stories. Please note that our studio aren't fans of "fanservice", so Bloody Chronicles won't be another dating sims game etc. Our game is broken into several chapters; these chapters are separated into seven days, where “Player Choices” will help or hinder the investigation. Okay, prescribed drugs from doctors that are necessary are fine. S T O R Y Utopia has long since ended. Confined in walls that have yet to be broken through, people join factions trying to survive another day in a decaying city with limited resources. There is hardly a day of silence, a day where a cry rings out through the streets in the middle of the night. There is a constant fight for power, for influence, for authority. The one in control changes every other month, the rules changing even more so frequently. This is the story of one particular moment in the carnage. Of when a drug known as Treats started to circulate through the system. Of when questions were no longer whispered and instead roared at the front lines. Where one girl who was born and raised in this society learned to aim for the throat when you wanted - needed - something. Follow Meri as she casts away the little that remained of her, stumbling across the truth as she pursues for revenge. The Jungle A large and sprawling metropolitan city that remains held up with a thin thread, seemingly ready to crumble at any given moment. This fragile place is where the populace reside for the eternity of their lives. The city has a turbulent structure of varying societies, groups and gangs that wish to hold more power than the other. This division causes districts to be made, though they are constantly swapping ownership as the feud continues among those of relatively equal standing with no clear winner. A large wall, without a single entrance or exit in sight, cages the city. Very few remember the official name of old for what this crumbling city used to be. Among the folk tales and mysteries of what this now rubble filled city used to be, the name, history, and events that unfolded to cause this current state only remain speculated. The Wall No one has been able to come or go ever since they could remember, the wall that towers high and encompassing the entirety of the city preventing such things. Attempts to traverse the wall has been made, though incredibly unsuccessful with rather strange and gruesome results. The peculiar circumstances and the blood stains hidden among the graffiti on the wall remains a foreboding reminder that there is something very wrong, and a kind of warning against those that hold suicidal pursuits. Treats The exact source of this increasingly popular drug remains unknown. Some have speculated it originated in the humble abode of a stumbling druggie who decided to mix and match for the next best high, others believe that it was the results of a laboratory of some scientific mad man, while there are a few hushed whispers that the remains of the government are to blame - seeking the power they once had. It seems that conspiracy theories weren't one of the things lost after the breaking up of the society from before most could recall. Not all of the effects of this mystery drug is yet known as it is still quite new. Effects seem to vary among consumers, though heightened senses, thought processing and strength seems to be a common symptom. Questioning consumers result in varying reactions - some proclaiming it to have changed their lives, saying that every other drug is put to shame by it, while others vehemently believed it to be the tool of the devils. A drug shrouded in mystery, yet so fervently produced, trafficked and consumed. It's sudden popularity caused a major shift of power within the rather chaotic and ever changing hierarchy, causing the downfall of some while allowing others influence that they could only ever imagine. F A C T I O N S The Royals Debatably the oldest society with a long history dating back before the fall of the society of the old. However, these records remain a secret and guarded like a jealous mistress as anyone outside the higher ranked remain ignorant of the apparently prestigious background. Though their numbers had consistently remained minimal as members were restricted to those of the same blood, they managed to hold power with their horded knowledge and their rather smart distribution of said knowledge. However, their small district had since been consumed by the growing gang known as the Red Caps, the members scattered and mostly believed imprisoned or dead. The Code Blues This neutral party remains a pacifist group. Neither are they particularly wealthy, nor do they have access to military resources. However, they remain through the support of many other groups and anyone that dare cause trouble with them would instigate a war among the other groups. Holding some of the brightest doctors and greatest knowledge when it comes to keep someone with multiple gun shot wounds alive, they remain a vital part to keeping everyone from permanently killing each other by providing aid between each battle. The Trade A merchant group that has an extended range of dealings, though they are most known and requested for their arms trade. With particularly sharp wit and high levels of intrigue, they manage to remain an influential power through back handed dealings and selectively partnering with other groups to warn or outright wipe out any potential threats. The Shroud Not much is known about the shroud. There are plenty of whispers and rumours that surround them. About how they seem to appear from no where, seeping in among the left remnants of a since over conflict. How they collect the bodies, leaving not even a whisper of what used to be life behind. How they evolved into an urban legend as the grim reapers as nothing ever remained, not even those that were known to be simply heavily injured instead of dead. Yet, somehow, these resources never seem to appear again, even within the many branches of the black market. The Red Caps One of the younger, but more powerful group. Rising in the scene with a questionably large stock of Treats, they had managed to gain exponential support and influence. Not much is entirely known of their policies due to the lack of any defined leadership. However, their ruthless dash and climb in power has given them a worrying reputation of doing anything for their goals, whatever they may be. Their district as of recent years haven't had particularly defined borders. Ever since the Red Caps had monopolized the market of Treats, their pursuit for expanding the areas under their control has increased several worrying folds. Though there is not a moment of peace or quiet within the streets of this district, the main building which acts a sort of headquarters for the higher in hierarchy. But none of that cocaine, ice, cool kid stuff plz. C H A R A C T E R S Meri Lambert | Royals Faction She believed herself invincible. She trusted her faction's invincibility. She thought herself to be more than she was. She was simply a naive child who had yet faced the sirens of reality. She learned that the world's tough love really was the fastest way to learn. She threw away what she once was for something she may never have or become. Cimon | Factionless He was there for you after the downfall of your family. He was the one that taught you how to survive without the faction's protection. He was the one to teach you about the various other districts. He was the one you had underestimated. Cimon is a seemingly happy-go-lucky and free spirited individual. Easy to hand out smiles, you question how he is able to trust others to easily and yet remain relatively well off. He just kind of seems rather naive and idealistic. However, he proves to be resourceful and hold a high level of awareness of the circumstances around him. With a understanding of the various different factions and their movements, you can't help but wonder why no one had already nabbed the guy. He would have been such a useful member after all. It really did seem rather strange. Gil | Trade Faction He lectures about peace as he gives warmongers bombs. He moarns the fallen as he accepts money from a murderer. He confesses his regrets and apologizes as he fires the gun in his hand. He signs the contract ensuring the death of many. He gives aide and resources to the neutral, saving their lives. He hates those he love, he loves those he hate. He's a hypocrite and he knows it. You haven't quite managed to grasp his personality. Through the layers of facades, the faces of professionalism and compassion, the acts of horror and delight - you just can't quite say definitely what type of person he is. An image of an upright man who's only wrongs are due to circumstance and an unfair world, you know it is simply a mask and in a way you wish to never have to see what is hidden beneath that rather careful construct. Aric | Royals Faction What's the blood that flows through their veins to the shared red dyed stains? What's a friend in a world of lies? What's a promise against the memories? What's an apology shackled with regret? What's a boy with questions that he doesn't wish an answer for? What waits past the end? Aric was someone you would tentatively call a friend. With the trials of time you've grown distant. The connection never truly lost, but there's just something no longer there. A closeness that you remembered from back when you were kids, desperately faking a childhood that they could never have. Following the faction's fall, you find yourself wondering where he is and questioning the rather peculiar circumstances around him. After all, only those that shared the same blood were meant to be allowed in the Royals, yet you are absolutely certain he fails to meet that very simple criteria. Jackie | Red Caps Faction He's felt the sweet caresses of joy, pure bliss with the feeling as if he could take on anything in the world. He's felt the tightening choke of sorrows, whispering lies that became his one and only truth. He's endured the shakes of rage, the physical pain he felt as he had to restrain himself. He knew far to well the damages fueled by humans fickleness. You struggle to describe him. He's just so- invisible, for the lack of a better word. In a way, it's actually a little disturbing. You don't know where he's from, what motives drive him, what actions he plans to take next. You notice how he seems to be able to simply disappear within a crowd or even in a desolate area without a single soul. However, one thing is for certain, you know that won't last long. The unsettling feeling that blankets you, a foreboding calm before a storm, that tilt of a smirk when he's lost in thought. Ihsan | Code Blue Faction He holds the needle like a knife, an apathy for each injection like a serial murderer who's grown bored. He binds the bandages like a noose slowly coiling around his own neck, suffocating him as the begs for a savior drown him. He's neutral, he doesn't take sides. He's long forgotten to care. A cloud of fatigue follows him, his actions sluggish and tired. The bags under his eyes don't go unnoticed, and his rather short and and general lack of enthusiasm reminds you of a corpse walking. However, you recall the stories of the heroes from the Code Blue faction. Their pursuit for pacifism, their incessant need to save lives. No one would join such a faction without having cared before. Right? Zeph | ??? Faction He hugs the gun like a child hugs their toys after a nightmare. He lies curled in the ash and rubble as if they were a safety blanket that would protect him from everything. He treats the serenades of gunfire like a lullaby, welcoming a dream that is soon to come. A dream he had long held, a dream that he had been pushed to his knees for. A large grin on a face splattered with blood. The gunshots that surround him, the blood that paves the streaks of death around him. You question the cheerful joking nature of his as whatever conversation you have with him seem to hold no direction, and yet you know he is far from lost as he avoids any talk about factions, Treats, the wall, and the coming future that lays ahead. "Hey, do you know why the sky changes colour? I've always thought it strange. You know, how such a big and encompassing thing could be so fickle. Yet, all our blood remains red no matter how far from human we get. Hey-- I wonder what colour the sky is outside the jungle." No matter the circumstances, illicit drugs would probs make it much shittier.   25. Hello all! I am currently in the process of making my first visual novel! Introduction "You and six teenagers are involved in horrible accidents. You are found unconscious, but you seem to wake up in a new realm. The ones there call it the Drift. From there, you have to find a way to escape the Drift alive. There are creatures that dwell there called phantoms. With each person having a "talent," this shouldn't be too hard of a task, right? Wrong. The Drift is a dangerous realm with illusions to trick the mind. With danger lurking in every shadow, who can you trust? Are they your friends or foes?" The main character is unisex, so either gender can play and choose their own route, love choice, and more! Characters Liam Valter: Liam is known as, "The scrawn." He is easily defined by his skittish and fearful personality. Liam usually keeps to himself, making him very observant. He is also the strategist, the brains, and the planner in the group. His talent of timed invisibility helps him observe and plan even better. At the age of 17, one would think that he would be a little more.. well-put-together in his scared side. However, Liam's fearful personality has helped the group make hard decisions during fights, incidents, and events in the drift. He is usually seen wearing a white v-neck shirt with blue jeans. He has a pair of glasses that always remains on his face, as he is rendered useless without them. Josh Farrier: Josh is the leader of the group. He had been in the Drift for the longest time of the seven teenagers. His given talent upon arrival was foresight and mind-reading which can prove useful in most situations. His personality is definitely a more rough-sided person. He often compares himself to a wolf - he protects his pack, fights those who dare to stand up to him, and fights when needed. An opposite of Liam hints that the two don't necessarily get along. Liam uses his head to figure out situations, while Josh uses his fists. Josh is known for his black shirt marked with a silver omega symbol. Katlyn Stone: Katlyn is seen around Josh. She was taken under his wing when she arrived in the Drift. He had saved her from a pack of "phantoms," the beasts that lurk in the Drift's plains. Katlyn now owes him her life, so she sticks by him in thick and thin to ensure that she is available for service when needed. She usually calms Josh down and persuades him to listen to the other people in the group. Often, the other group members question if the two are an item, but every time they deny. Daniel Bosner: Daniel is the flirt of the group. He decides to flirt with anyone and anything that is a female. This leads to him being overly confident in the sense that he finds himself, "able to get any girl." Despite this personality, he is one of the best members. His "given talent" is to see into the darkness, and use the shadows. He can sneak through the plains like a spy and guard the group's den. The shadows alert him of an enemy or threat, so his senses are extremely useful. Jarid Ryder: Jarid, or also known as "J," works with Liam as the strategist. In a close tie to Liam, he is known as the second-brain. Whenever Liam is on a supply run, Jarid is in charge of planning escape routes if a phantom rampages through the den. If one does reveal itself, he is able to use his talent to become one of them - he's a shapeshifter. As long as he's seen the creature, he is able to become one. This is extremely handy in battle situations as he can ward off predators by shifting into a creature of immense size and power. Marie Santar: Marie has a special feature about her. She has multiple-personality disorder - she has two different sides. One of which is a calm, loving girl.. While the other, is much less than that. Her "demonic" side is much more violent. She usually goes into a rampage. Her left eye turns red when this activates. This is a positive and a negative - in battle it works well. In other times, it can cause pain and tension in the den.
