  1. Well hello there! In the name of Moral Anxiety Studio I’m glad to announce that we currently work on our second story-focused video game project for Windows. Tales From Windy Meadow is a single-player collection of interactive stories focused on the community of small village set in bittersweet fantasy world. This Visual Novel explores topics like finding your place in life, loneliness, pursuing your goals and dealing with your past and disadvantages. Unlike most VNs, we decided to use to our advantage the world of pixel art. Inspired by games such as VA-11 Hall-A and Sword & Sworcery, we want to create distinctive visuals and combine them with immersive, relatable writing and amazing folk music composed by Doctor Turtle. We also experiment with other features to make the game as pleasant as possible. The text-based narration is going to be replaced by various animations, limiting the on-screen text almost exclusively to dialogues. Significant character decisions, “skip a scene” button, an in-game map... The GameMaker Studio engine is a perfect tool to add to our game everything it needs to entertain you. The game still has a long way to go. We’re currently working on concept arts, story improvements and programming alike, so we plan to release the game in March of 2018. And if you liked our previous game, The Tavern, you may want to know that Tales From Windy Meadow are set in the same universe, though a couple of decades later.     Hi there! I see amazing posts on our forums and lemma soft's forums with these beautiful pictures that lead to links and I'd really like to know how to do that as well. For example, a lot of posts promoting their projects have a button that says "Support our Kickstarter" or "Download Our Demo." Does anyone know how I could do that? Also, I've seen the same thing on reddit which I have no clue how they did that because everytime I Google how to do those things it always says you can only post direct links from imgur. But if anyone knows how to do the same buttons for reddit or even how to make pictures show up in reddit, I'd really appreciate the help. Also, this is going to make me sound really dumb but does the tag [BxG] mean boy and girl? I've also seen [GxB] and I'm like... is that different? Lol thanks for the help!

Entire civilizations have been destroyed, others have escaped... for a while. No one is safe. You are the leader (female or male depending on the Patreon support) of a world facing obliteration. Will you find a way to escape the impending doom? Last Days of the Universe is the title of the first project by AdultSciFi. It's an adult science-fiction visual novel. The game is programmed in Unity and will be available for PC and other platforms (to be determined). Development versions will be released from time to time. One day, however, she meets another young woman living deep in the forest- a real witch! 🎃 Characters 🎃 Fidelia Fidelia has lived in the forest for all of her life, as she lived there with her parents and grandparents. She's 20 years old and has her own garden where she grows vegetables and herbs. She likes taking walks through the forest and reading fantasy books. Jastiline Jastiline lives in a cottage in the forest towards a section Fidelia never realized she'd never seen before until she takes another route one day. Jastiline is 21 years old and teaches young kids from the city nearby about home skills. Her real passion is flower arranging and she has her own flower garden. She also loves to read fantasy books. 🎃 Setting & Plot 🎃 The Witch in the Forest (TWITF) is centered around Fidelia, a somewhat introverted and socially awkward girl who stumbles upon Jastiline's house one day and befriends her. It's a short, NVL-style kinetic novel about their lives as they prepare for their favorite holiday, Halloween! It's set in a some-what modern time, but with a more fantasy take on it- there are cities but things such as cellphones, Internet, etc. don't exist. So, think more along the lines of 30+ years ago.   5. Hello everyone! Our two-person team at Woodsy Studio is excited to officially announce Echoes of the Fey - Episode 2: The Last Sacrament. It's actually pretty far along in production right now (about 75% complete), but we're running a Kickstarter to help us to the finish line and fund all of the features we want to implement (such as more CGs and voice acting). The Echoes of the Fey series mixes a high fantasy setting with the mysteries and conspiracies of pulp detective fiction. Play as Sofya Rykov, a private investigator with a secret of her own: she is the only Human able to wield unlimited magic. Her country of Oraz is recovering from a 30-year war between Humans and Leshin (elves) over the use of Fey energy, so her unstable magic is best kept secret. Sofya herself is an unusual protagonist. For starters, we gave her personality traits typically given to the male leads of hard-boiled mystery tales. She sports a sassy, optimistic attitude that laughs in the face of danger, but this is a cover for the fear and helplessness underneath. As a result she sleeps around, drinks heavily, and knows she could die at any moment from the strange magic trapped inside of her. In The Last Sacrament, Sofya’s childhood love and the Emperor’s daughter, Katerina, seeks her protection from threats near the border. Meanwhile Katerina’s rival, Nikolai, needs a dangerous drug stolen from the powerful Krovakyn Church and uses blackmails to force Sofya’s assistance. Nikolai wants a dose of the Sacrament, a mysterious substance from the Krovakyn Church that can cure illnesses and extend lifespans. But repeated use of the Sacrament causes strange side effects, such as hallucinations and physical deformities. Nikolai wants to give the Sacrament to his grandmother, who has already received the maximum dosage allowed. It’s up to you, the player, to solve each case and determine its outcome. Can you track down Katerina’s enemy? And if you manage to steal the Sacrament, what will you choose to do with it? You also have several romance options in The Last Sacrament. If you proceed carefully, you can develop a romantic relationship with Katerina, Arkady, Nikolai, or Heremon. Most of The Last Sacrament consists of traditional VN scenes with choices to direct the story. You can also roam the town of Vodotsk freely as a side-scrolling environment, which opens up side quests and optional investigation opportunities. But the most experimental aspect of Echoes of the Fey: The Last Sacrament is a complex mini-game called RiftRealms. This is a tabletop game that exists in the world of Echoes of the Fey, and as Sofya you can play with other characters. We thought this would be an interesting way to showcase each character’s personality based on how they treat you as a Dungeon master. It also explores the question: what do people fantasize about in a fantasy world? What I'd love to hear from you: 1) Feedback about RiftRealms Via the download-able demo, you can see the first few scenes of the game and try RiftRealms for yourself! We'd love to hear what people think of the mini-game and whether you feel it will be an enjoyable addition to the narrative experience. If you have any other specific feedback about the game right now we'd love to hear that, too 2) Feedback regarding technical game performance Due to the fact that we're building this game in Unreal Engine 4 and implementing some fancy 3D environments, we realize that playing the game will require a better graphics card and CPU than most visual novels. You can set the Overall Visual Quality to LOW in the Options menu if you have a lower-end computer. Either way, we'd love to get a general feel for how the game performs for the average player.

'Chemically Bonded' is scheduled to be a multi-ending visual novel set in modern day Japan, with mild ecchi scenes spliced into what'll hopefully turn out to be a serious and impacting story. A recurring theme throughout the story is science, although it is purely a romantic story in a realistic environment. CV: Nikki Marie Beyer As an aspiring scientist, Kiyoko prides herself on her ability to control her emotions through the use of logic. At least, that's what she believes. Despite having an overly emotive personality, she's often mistaken for the quiet type despite having a lot to say. Her inquisitive nature usually leads to chaos, as despite enjoying an experiment or two she has no concern for health and safety procedures. Kiyoko is the founder and currently sole member of the "science club" and tends to keep to herself, being known around the school for her outstanding intellect. CV: Amber Barile Naomi is a girl with plenty of passion, most of which she puts into her attitude. She isn't afraid of conversation, however despite her forwardness in one on one situations her social circle is quite limited. She is the captain of the athletics team when she isn't having her say over every sporting club in the school. She'd be considered a tomboy by most outsiders, but those who know her well are privy to her innermost girlish quirks. The visual novel is divided into two parts, presented to you as a parody of that huge video platform we all loved (and hated at the same time). First, are the slice-of-life episodes.   15. Hello! So this is my debut VN made with Ren'Py. It started development since 2015 but will only be seeing its First Chapter after a few days because of some difficulties. I also had to rewrite the entire plot. If you can tell, I'm a one-man crew. Only the writing and programming is 100% me. The rest of the assets are CC. Death Roulette focuses on ten students from Maria St. Claire Institute, all of whom are graduating from high school. Everything seems normal at first... until a strange "link" is uncovered. Conspiracy theories circulate around an incident the previous academic year, when a mass murder occurs at Sacred Heart Village. One by one, a student is killed each month, and the mastermind is never unmasked. To top it off, one of MSCI's alumna is involved, but even she is proven innocent... or is she? Come one morning, and the students of MSCI find out that even they have been compromised: someone is re-enacting the Sacred Heart Murders through a long-running game of deadly roulette. This time, they have a chance of unmasking the culprit, but how many lives will the effort cost? The time has started, and the game is on.   22. In Starry Dreams, the player is a new resident of Sunflower Apartments, where they meet several interesting characters- two of which who want to open their own bakery! As the story progresses, the success of the bakery hinges on whether or not the player is good enough friends with the characters. The player plays as the nameable protagonist who has just moved into the apartments of most of the characters in Starry Dreams. There are a total of 6 characters in Starry Dreams, not including the player character. You build relationships with the characters, which decides how the story progresses. The better a friend you are to some of them- how much you support them- dictates if their dreams and goals are accomplished. The aim of the project is to make a light-hearted LGBT story that's cute but doesn't focus on the characters being LGBT- instead, it's about their lives and their goals. Two characters, Marion and Frederika, are a non-binary couple who want to build a bakery together. Two other characters, Licellia and Bricie, are a lesbian couple that have their own aspirations, developed later in the story. Starry Dreams focuses on becoming friends with the characters and either supporting their dreams or being apathetic to them.   23. Hello! I’m Keliar from X3 Brothers and I’m happy to present you a demo of our current project – the suspense novel Genie. You can download the current demo (0.3c May 13) here. It’s available for Windows/Mac/*nix systems in Russian and English languages. The story revolves around a young detective is assigned to a mysterious murder case two days prior to his long-awaited promotion. Will he be able to overcome the pressure from his higher-ups and apprehend the culprit? Genie has more in common with Moacube’s novels Cinders and Solstice, rather than classic Japanese style. We took the pseudo-Victorian period as our main inspiration for the art - black and white pencil drawings base with a dash of pastel and brushwork. With this short demo, we want to test our concept with Steam Greenlight and decide our future course of action. Let us know what do you think about the art style and overall concept. The game draws more inspiration from both British courtroom dramas and real-life cases, also adapting the genre to a format more befitting the PC/Steam platform, featuring updated, stylish graphics and new Sherlockian game mechanics (such as Testimony Analysis, Brainstorming and Concatenation) in the way of divergent thinking. These new game modes allow for logic and puzzle-solving like never seen before, moving from pointing out simple contradictions in testimonies to deducing complex facts and theories in order to fight your case and uncover the truth. Featuring a distinctive style, innovative gameplay mechanics and an epic story with a colourful cast of characters to match, Acquittal: Induction is comprised of five episodes, each longer and more challenging than the last. The 1st of these (The First Daybreak) is available to be sampled in the demo. The subsequent episodes will be released incrementally (as free updates included in the purchase) as development completes with funding. This law-drama adventure game will be available for PC, Mac and Linux, to be released on Steam. As such, the majority of funding for the remainder of the game will go into producing more of the vibrant character designs and animations and stunning backgrounds. The backgrounds for the courtroom were designed based on real British Crown Courts, expertly brought to life by Badriel, with the colourful cast of characters vividly designed and realised by Daphne Robinson and fluently animated by David Fuentes. - - - - - I've always been interested in English criminal law, and have toyed around with the idea of bringing the magnificent British courtroom dramas into a collaboration with one of my favourite game series, Ace Attorney.
