One day, Prince Horace receives a letter from his father saying "The Hero of Fortune is now in the eastern market, escort him to the castle where he can eat the golden fruit". When Horace goes to the market he meets 3 different girls, each claiming to be the Hero of Fortune. Now Horace must look into the girls and determine who is the real Hero of Fortune, who are the impostors and what do they want. But his adventures won't end there... Features -Three unique routes with different atmospheres, each based on one of the classic RPG roles: The mage, the warrior and the rogue. -350,000 words (which roughly translates to 25 hours of gameplay based on what I read online). -Multiple route mystery! -About 12 endings + true ending. That doesn't count short bad endings, for instance deciding to have sex with the demon princess in an active volcano(which can happen in the story btw). Characters Nozomi Nozomi is a cheerful and energetic girl. She lived in the forest most of her life with her demonic magician gangster bunny mentor(there is an explanation for that), so she doesn't know a lot about civilized society and gets excited about every little thing(with a lot of funny misunderstandings). Nozomi has an endless supply of sexual jokes and has a talent to use them exactly in the worst time. She isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but she has a great affinity for magic.(magic is mainly used by demons) Riko Riko has a short fuse and quite a lot of ego. She won numerous gladiator championships before with her amazing agility. Her ego is quite fragile, and with her childish and stubborn attitude that's quite the explosive combo. She loves drinking and speaking high language. Riko's former family was a family of gladiators, but they disowned her for being too weak. Now Riko plans to beat her father in the finals and take revenge on him. She also possesses a drawing of Horace for some reason... Haruka Haruka is a shy and insecure girl. She is a genius that solves riddles in the blink of an eye and predicts what others will do based on cold logic. She lives in the slums of the Capital and is very physically weak. Although Haruka is insecure most of the time, when she faces an intellectual challenge she transforms into a strong woman with a lot of confidence. She holds some very strong political views regarding the royal family. Contrary to her innocent looks, she is an avid fan of torture. He is a little spoiled, but he understands how big his responsibility is. He cares a lot about Alteria and will even risk his life to keep his kingdom safe.   5. Visual Novel “306” was inspired by Umineko series written by Ryukishi07. It started off as an inner circle thing between close friends that eventually evolved into something bigger. The project started back in 2016 by me and my friend, without any prior experience with coding or character making and we are proud to say that "306" has evolved into proportions that none of us had ever anticipated. Currently, every asset used in the game besides the background art and music were all created by a talented group of people, driven solely by their passion.   7. Plot Over the mountains, across the sea, in a yet undiscovered land lies an island full of glamorous creatures. Proud elves, hard-working dwarves and noble humans scattered across the province. An immense arcane tower lies in the heart of the island, looming over the people. Legends say its power is the only thing holding back the dark forces seeking passage into our realm. King El-Roh, our ruler, lives in the capital bestead in the south. The one and only road leading back from town diverges into three paths, each taking you into different part of the kingdom. But that's not what matters most. At the Crossroads, there is a tavern. Not just a plain lodge, like many others. It's the "Erba 'Modi" tavern - this land's best-known inn! Mainly because you can't miss the thing whilst going to the capital, but the booze is terrific too! You can take my word for it! The tavern sees a whole lotta plain folks and quite a great deal of nobles stopping on their way to or from the capital. And in the very heart of this clatter is our Lia - a charming half-elvish girl, who's just sick of all this. After introducing our main heroine - Lia - we'd rather preserve the atmosphere of mystery and give players a desire to learn the story by themselves. Why such a decision? During the adventure, we will be able to lead the story in many different ways, where even small decisions will affect what we see, what we hear and how it will happen. It's Your Story, we only provide the background, parchment and quill. When we're creating characters, we want to present their reactions in the most readable way possible for the player. We are working on a number of special graphics that will perfectly blend in with the story. Features guide our protégé in multiple fashions, multiple storylines with unlockable, alternative paths, variable gameplay (each act has its own motive), over 10 reachable endings, a unique mix of fantasy, mystery, conspiracy, suspense, romance, Steam achievements and trading cards. Relationships between the characters will play one of the key roles. We want to increase the pace of storytelling at some moments, which is why some scenes will be supplemented with "pop-up" graphics depicting a specific action. Who we are and our plans Our team consists of three people, artist, programmer and writer. Our dream is to create our own stories in electronic form, and as such we decided to start presenting our world with a simpler game. This does not mean, however, that we do not approach the topic with 100% commitment. We want the player to experience an exciting adventure in which he will experience a variety of emotions. Difficult to survive. The Castle, where the action proceeds, is frequently attacked by Dark forces - means you have to be sure the defenders can protect the Castle. Intrigues. Characters make an alliance against each other, you'll have to support somebody or even betray... Spirit of desperation — there are no easy solutions. You'll have to choose between the bad and very bad. Broad variety. Plot is revealed by fulfilling or not fulfilling of 13 different tasks. There are more, than 10 endings in the game. Story. For Evalise, all she wanted was to get a bail bond for her boyfriend, when Idris surprised her with a simple but confusing question. What if you could make him forget all about you? Story Evalise's boyfriend has a bit of a wild side... and a bit of a knack for being caught. She arrives at a bail bonds place run by a man named Idris- however, while working out a bail bond, he springs a question about a different kind of bond- a memory bond. With his knife, he's able to sever any ties a person has with someone else, permanently, making the other person completely forget about his client. With one small cut, she'd be able to leave her not-so-great boyfriend behind and move on... Characters Evalise Adams Our protagonist, Evalise. She's 26 and works a regular retail job with a not-so-regular boyfriend who's a repeat petty criminal. Eva isn't the bad girl type, so her friends don't see why she's with him- but to her, it's just a matter of convenience. She was in a car wreck over a year prior to the start of the game, and ever since then her memory has been blurred and she's slowly distanced herself from her friends. So, finding any kind of person who'd show her a bit of comfort- even at the price of having to bail him out of jail a few times- was worth it to her. Idris Whitcher Idris is a bonds dealer who also runs a lesser-known side business of severing the bonds people have with others. He's 28 and likes seeing movies the night they come out, playing with his shelter rescue labrador, and taking long walks on the beach- at least, that's what his dating profile reads. He takes an immediate interest in Evalise, but hasn't exactly tried the whole "dating" and "relationship" thing in a while. ...And many more characters in-game! Details This game was being made for the Indie Game Maker Contest, a month long game jam held by Degica to make a game in any valid RPG Maker engine. I was hoping to finish this game, but alas, I was only able to get a demo finished. So, now I've ported it to Ren'Py and am finishing it, extending it in the process! The concept for this game came from something quite visible in the key art- the red string of fate. While it's not present in the game, it does give a good idea about what the game is about, as it focuses on the bonds forged between people and fate. As it was a starting point for me in development of the story and is an item most people can identify, I placed it front and center in the artwork. It is a kinetic visual novel in terms of story, as there is only one ending. Game Design Document ★ Public Script ★ Concept Art Kotachi Asterio wants to help people that can’t fight for themselves. However, he isn't some sort of superhero- he can just see things other people can't. During the day, he goes to high school with his best friend, Ophi. At night, the two fight off specters, monsters that lurk in shadows and can harm people. Kotachi has been able to see specters since he was about 10. When his grandfather died, he was given a wooden box that was simply inscribed with “to whoever can grasp it”. Inside were a pair of white revolvers- however, his parents couldn’t see them, leading Kotachi to realize the revolvers were special. He finds that his revolvers are actually forged from the constellation Perseus, and can be used to fight of specters, monsters that fester in dark places. The game starts with Kotachi and his best friend, Ophi, fighting off specters when they stumble upon a talking fox who claims to be an Aligner, someone who fights specters, and makes the two boys her apprentices. They meet several other characters as they all train to become certified Aligners from C.O.I.N., an organization that employs Aligners to dispel and research specters. Throughout the game, it becomes apparent that some constellations actually embody human forms, and are a group known as the Zodiac- a group that was previously thought to be legend, as they haven’t been seen for decades. Kotachi is one of the few people in the world with a weapon strong enough to dispel the specters controlling each of the Zodiac, and thus can become their Protector, someone who shields the constellations from specters and is able to invoke their power in battle. ✩ Kotachi Asterio Kotachi almost always has a grin on his face and, when he isn’t being lazy, he’s typically upbeat. However, he’s not very outgoing, and Ophi is his only real friend until Vulpe comes along and forces him to meet new people. Kotachi would be perfectly content staying a nobody and destroying specters on his own time, as he hates change. He's a junior in high school and has no clue what his major in college will be- his backup plan is becoming a "professional" urban explorer. ✩ Ophi Lira Ophi is a very standoffish character who is both distrusting and generally doesn’t like the rest of the cast, save for Kotachi. However, aside from their “teacher”, Vulpe, Ophi is the most experienced in the group, as he’s been able to see specters “for as long as [he] can remember”. Even with Kotachi, though, there are things he doesn’t like to talk about- specifically his family, or lack thereof. However, through all of his rude and snide comments directed at Kotachi, Ophi does care about him. In game, Ophi is an optional love interest. ✩ Ayane Miu Ayane is seemingly cold and standoffish, but she doesn’t like people who waste her time or slack off. She is the tentative valedictorian of their class and also the incognito PTA president while also learning the ropes of running a national bank, her father's business. It's safe to say she doesn't exactly like to rest. ✩ Leos Coronil Leos tries to get along with everyone. He’s an easy going guy, but his calm nature makes him the target of bullying, specifically from football players who think he’s crazy for seeing specters. Within the group, he’s the median, and thinks more with his heart than with his brain. He’s the ace of the soccer team and prefers the company of people as opposed to being alone. ✩ Riko Asterio Riko is Kotachi’s adopted older sister. She used to be close with Kotachi when they were younger, but a failure to stay in touch or even visit after she moved into a dorm for high school caused the two to grow apart. Riko is mostly the opposite of her brother- she’s outgoing, vibrant, and constantly trying new things. She’s never still except when busy with work and loves to be around others. Most of all, she likes teasing Kotachi. ✩ Dania Truman Dania doesn’t get out a lot, not since her grandfather passed away. She used to volunteer at the C.O.I.N. outpost with him, healing Aligners, so when he passed away she kept at it, even if she became more reserved. Dania is timid and doesn’t talk a lot to strangers, but isn’t quiet- instead, she only talks a lot to people she’s comfortable being around because of her shyness. This is my newest project, Asterism. It's an RPG VN (i.e. an RPG with VN elements) that is being made in Ren'Py. It centers around Kotachi and the rest of the cast training and becoming certified Aligners, and eventually him becoming the Protector of the Zodiac. I've already had a few questions about it before, so note- this game is astronomy based, not astrology based. The main cast all use weapons forged from constellations such as Perseus, Serpens, Aquila, and more- each weapon was placed on Earth long ago by ancient powers. Each of the weapons can be upgraded. Later on, Kotachi begins rescuing members of the Zodiac from specters that have infected them- once he has successfully rescued a constellation, he is able to summon them to help fight off specters. The fights in the game are classic JRPG turn-based style and there are multiple dungeons in the game. As previously mentioned, there are some boys love elements in it, i.e. Kotachi can end up with a boy, but the story itself is very low on romance and it's optional. However, there is only one ending, so choices only change dialogue and some scenes. The word count so far is about 60k words, but the full game after dungeons will be about 10+ hours long. There will be a demo released sometime in 2019, but the full game will be commercial, around $15-20. It's about coffee in a steampunk fantasy world where caffeine is magical. The Story Taka, the protaganist, has not seen his mom since his 6th Birthday. One day he decides to embark on a journey to search for her whereabouts. He falls off a plane after drinking a bottle of cold brew coffee given to him by a mysterious barista. This leads him to arrive at a city called Victoria, a Victorian / Steampunk alternate reality where technology is at least a century behind. He soon finds himself in front of a coffee house called Taka Coffee House, the same coffee house he and his parents used to work and live together as one family. Desperate to understand the situation he is in, he vows to find out what happened to his parents. But before doing so, he needs to learn about the power of caffeine. And in order to learn about the powers of caffeine, he needs to learn how to...... brew coffee. His fate (and virginity) rests in your hands. Depending on how smooth the development goes, we're looking at a late-2018 to mid-2019 release for Love Esquire. It will be distributed on Steam and Itch.io (Windows/Mac/Linux), followed by a mobile release (Android/iOS) a few months after. We don't have any plans for a console release, but that's something we might possibly consider once the game is out. The Letter was a successful Kickstarter project and a highly-rated game; it is our validation to everyone that we're not only capable of completing this project, but also delivering it up to standards.
