The idea for the project came back in 2011. First works were made, such as the outline of the story and first concept art for characters. Unfortunately, the project went into a drawer for many years. The reason behind it was our focus on developing other games, such as 9 Clues and 9 Clues 2. Fortunately, the project survived and was 'resurrected' by at the end of 2017. We approached to the Perseverance with new energy and fresh look. Our aim was to give players a gripping story and show them the drama of individuals in the face of terrifying events. As we decided to make Perseverance an episodic production, we would like to give you some insight of what to expect from the story in Perseverance: Part 1. SYNOPSIS In Part 1 you play as Jack Cutter, a father who is struggling to keep his family together. He's a ‘go-to' guy in his hometown of Grey Ville. On the surface Grey Ville looks like a peaceful city, but research conducted in a nearby military base gives the town a mysterious aura. Residents prefer to stay away from it, however, they love to speculate on what's going on there. Things take an unexpected turn and the area is quarantined. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman is after a fugitive. Her superiors expect her to fulfill her orders as usual. But they are not telling her everything. The person she's after is more than what she appears to be. Soon both Jack and the mystery agent will find themselves in a middle of a crisis that will change them forever. Deeply inspired by Slavic and Ashkenazi Jewish folklore, Russian Imperial history, weird fiction and queer culture, it is the first of a planned trilogy of Visual Novels. In a divided capital of a crumbling decadent Empire, a bigender failed rabbi and a flamboyant, gay doctor-necromancer uncover ominous occult happenings that not only hold clues to the Febrile Rebellion's failure eight years ago, but also implicate the Czarevena-Regent and her White Guard in eldritch crimes against humanity. Impoverished and disfranchised, they must not only prevent the White Guard from unleashing a reality-shattering evil but also survive the cruel realities of life on the margins, and nurture their vulnerable found family and their blossoming love for each other. I'm a professional concept artist who's been working on other people's projects for 8 years and finally decided to make something for my own. Similar to the adventure books of the 70s and 80s, the player is given an opportunity to interact with the story by choosing a path for the protagonist to follow. The path can lead to a "good", "bad" or "neutral" ending. Depending on the ending, the story may or may not continue onward.   10. Biggest Goof Up Ever

    Hey guys I just had the most embarrassing mistake ever and I just wanted to get it off my chest with fellow game devs! So what happened was I had a very old beta test demo like three months ago and I deleted it and I also deleted it off my Dropbox account. Today I had my demo release and someone does a let's play on youtube and it's that old file that I swear had been deleted and I have no clue how it came back. I had to ask the youtuber to take down his vid and apologized profusely and offered him a free game. Now 22 people have the incorrect copy and I'm just so embarrassed and ashamed. We did post alerts that the copy is wrong and uploaded the correct demo but I'm scared the people who have downloaded it won't see. This is the first game I ever made so I'm hoping people won't be too mad but it's definitely making me feel super bad and sad and I didn't really know who to talk about it to so I made this post. Would anyone else like to share one of their biggest goof ups or tell me that everything's going to be ok. Because I'd really appreciate that. I feel like crazy awful at the moment and I'm hoping it passes soon. X(

  13. Hello! So this is my debut VN made with Ren'Py. It started development since 2015 but will only be seeing its First Chapter after a few days because of some difficulties. I also had to rewrite the entire plot. If you can tell, I'm a one-man crew. Only the writing and programming is 100% me. The rest of the assets are CC. What will be releasing in a few days is the first of ten chapters that will span until mid-2018. Call it 0.98 for now; it just needs some polishing. Release will be on itch.io. Death Roulette focuses on ten students from Maria St. Claire Institute, all of whom are graduating from high school. Everything seems normal at first... until a strange "link" is uncovered. Conspiracy theories circulate around an incident the previous academic year, when a mass murder occurs at Sacred Heart Village. One by one, a student is killed each month, and the mastermind is never unmasked. To top it off, one of MSCI's alumna is involved, but even she is proven innocent... or is she? Come one morning, and the students of MSCI find out that even they have been compromised: someone is re-enacting the Sacred Heart Murders through a long-running game of deadly roulette. This time, they have a chance of unmasking the culprit, but how many lives will the effort cost? The time has started, and the game is on. It draws a lot of inspiration from Higurashi and Corpse Party, but the plot's basis is on semi-true events. Expect to see some neat references there... or not. Parallelisms, maybe?   14. No way Darling is a visual novel I've thought of after watching Diabolik Lovers, an anime adaptation of a vampire otome game. I personally found it so awful it was funny. The whole time I thought "Why doesn't the MC do this instead of that?" Why does she act so cutesy and timid instead of sarcastic and sassy? I find this to be a problem in a lot of games honestly... So the initial idea was "Girl surrounded by vampires boys, teases them and makes fun of them." This idea has change of course, and is now more of. "I came to school and it seems everyone around me is a murderer." Plans for the game: Phone function, letting you save/load/quit/ etc, also receiving messages from characters you can reply to Pay what you want, free to play or donate what you will. 5 male 1 female dateable characters Custiomizable MC (Skin2, uniform2, hair2, pronouns He/She/They) Sexual Content in some routes Voiced, by volunteers (but i'll probably pay them if the game makes any money) Concept art: I would like replies telling me ideas, criticism, or anything you'd like to say about the game!!

  17. I've been working hard on this visual novel for the past 3 years, and I was hoping to find some people to read over the rough draft. Please tell me about spelling errors, grammar errors, plot holes, I want to know everything. If you think a line should be written better, or even if you have an idea for a scene that should be added, please tell me. If you help me make the visual novel better, by finding mistakes or adding suggesting, I will add your name to the credits. I'm mainly concerned about plot holes and making sure the entire story makes sense to everyone. I would strongly like to note that this rough draft does NOT contain the character development episodes, which aren't required for understanding the characters or the story, but they do help you understand the characters a little bit more. I have them done, but I want to re-write them to make them better. Inside the folder you may notice a TXT document labeled, EXTRA INFO. It contains information and questions on the things that happened in the story that are not explained. I plan on adding this to the visual novel later as an unlockable "Ask Rika" mode.     Hey there! I am super new to VNs but as soon as I discovered them I knew that I needed to create one of my own. It has been months in the making but I am finally ready to announce my VN. It is called Elsewhere High and chapter 1 is coming out very soon (no firm release date yet.) The first chapter is actually going to be released for free, with subsequent chapters being sold for a small cost. It will be released on Android devices through Google Play, and on PC and Mac through itch.io. I put together a small trailer for the first chapter and will post it here. I don't want to give away too much about the plot, but I'm sure I will answer any general questions if any get left in the comments.   24. Hi guys, Yesterday, I released the demo version for my first ever visual novel, Angel In The Dark. Now, I'm looking for people to play it, and let me know what they think.
