And the prime suspect? Detective Butler. Gilligan refuses to believe it. With Butler as the brains and Gilligan doing the legwork, they work together to pursue the truth and catch the true killer. The other members of the Detection Club all have secrets they want to remain hidden. Will Gilligan come to regret the truth he ends up discovering? What are the consequences of telling comforting lies over the harsh truth? And what are the consequences of believing them? Introduction Hello everyone! I'm Gyme-gyme. I'm making a visual novel about a character named Paloma. I'm the only one in the team^^ and will be making everything (except for music) Story Paloma is an Angelical, a creature that enjoys devouring the memories of humans. Paloma began her training recently and must learn to distinguish the good memories from the bad ones in order to satisfy her superiors. However, she finds it difficult to understand the humans and the decisions they made to get here. Will you help her devour the good memories, or will you let her succumb to her superiors? Features Choose who will receive the 'Angelical Trial'. Put yourself in the shoes of Paloma, the main character. Please note that there isn't any adult content in the game, I just got in trouble for having sexualised characters. Introduction Hey everyone! I saw on Twitter that FuwaNovel was looking to have more developers post their content on the boards, and I've been looking for ways to connect with more people to discuss our games. I've completed three games on Steam and a fourth game is in Early Access. This is the first game we finished, Max's Big Bust - A Captain Nekorai Tale. Progress The game is complete and released! Hello, Everyone! I would summon my courage in order to share with you the project I was working on for the past year. "Bottoms Up!" is a LINEAR Visual Novel type of game, which was supposed to serve as an "adaptation" of the fantasy novel with the same name I released (In Bulgarian) a few years back. The setting and the story of the game is not really typical for the genre I would say, but I always wanted to adapt the book into some sort of more visual media and since I really like visual novels I decided that this type of project will be doable for me. And I thought making something kind of different will be cool. My main inspiration was a mixture of eastern european (Bulgarian) folklore and the classic fantasy trope we all know. The plot itself is basically a criminal story. Hello! With a group of friends we have been writing this psychological horror and romance novel. Basically, it is about a guy who, due to a mental disorder, perceives the world differently and can travel to other worlds and times when he sleeps. We have 2/5 routes almost finished: Route 1. A tale in the circus of phenomena. Here the heroine is a clown/harlequin named Crulleica. Here it is explored how disturbing and cruel were the circuses of freaks at that time Route 2. A story in a hospital. Here the heroine is a patient with physical and mental disabilities named Ofelia But do not worry. Romance will not be left out as it is a fundamental part of the story It has been a bit hard since to be more exact we have had to research and read about these issues (I even got to talk to a doctor for Ofelia's route) So with these references that I have given... Are you an artist or do you know an artist who knows how to draw and color models and backgrounds that fit perfectly with this type of theme? Here some of us can draw but unfortunately not digitally What are your opinions? Should we add or change something? Do you have an idea for a route? Should we add some kind of mechanics or minigames? I would like to hear your thoughts

Greetings. My name is Tulio Ramírez, and I am founder of Maleiwa Games, a dev team from Latinamerica to create visual novels. I am the script writter and producer of our current project: The Sassy Detective, based on a novel in spanish named "La Detective Impertinente", published on Wattpad. It´s the story of Amanda Manrique, a peculiar, spicy and mischievous detective and her assistant, Fernando Salgado. They were hired by a japanese diplomat to solve a mysterious robbery in Japan. With the help of a priestess, Nishi Segawa, they start with the investigation, but anything could happen including spicy encounters with the girls of the story. They also are accompanied by Melanie, an idol pop with a bit of story with Fernando in the past, which strong feelings for him, in preparation for a concert in Japan. Originally developed by Norami Games, a latinamerican brand for visual novels and light novels, but due to their closure, I acquired the rights of the game. Now is fully done and about to be launched on December 20th, 2022, in itch.io. The game is written in spanish and english, improving the original art style of the Norami version, fixing bugs, and adding new features, like a censorship mode for streamings, a gallery for the special images and profiles for the characters. Siren's Call: A free Denpa visual novel where you escape from an actual tourist trap. Siren's Call is a Denpa visual novel loosely based off of my experiences living in (and escaping) Central Florida as an adult on the autism spectrum. The game was a passion project made by myself, my wife, my best friend, and a couple other close friends and freelancers. It took us roughly four years to complete and is now out on Steam for free. While your millage may vary on how scary you find the game (much of it is based off of my own personal fears), I can say with conviction that you will feel the love and effort put into this project. Prove You Aren't Dead: A Epilogue While it is true that our team succeeded where many others have failed and got Siren's Call out in a playable state, it is far from being "complete." Over the course of the past five months, I've released a few bonus stories acting as a prequel of sorts to the events of the main game. But in terms of the true epilogue...that is what I'm going to be working on for the foreseeable future. Just announced today, Beyond R: Rule Ripper is an indie VN I've been working on for a few years now with a small group of freelancers, with a Kickstarter planned for early next year and a release sometime in 2024. It's a suspense drama story about 10 strangers that awaken in a mysterious luxury bar, the Golden Jack. They have been poisoned by their kidnapper, The Owner, and only victory in their game will give them their lives back. There are 10 Rules, each one assigned in secret to each player. They must follow all rules except their own, and their death will eliminate the rule from the game forever. However, a young man among the players refuses to play along. The cast The project is about halfway done overall, especially in regards to the script and music, with the Kickstarter aiming to fund the remaining visuals (backgrounds and more character expressions/body poses) and see if we can go beyond (pun semi-intended) the initial humble goal of simply finishing it. With enough success, we'll be able to make CGs and raise the production values, though for its current size there's plenty of features already, including some gameplay elements based on Danganronpa/Ace Attorney trials, a multi-layered soundtrack, 3D constructed backgrounds, more than a handful of endings, two language options, and more. I could go into a lot more detail, but the demo can do that job a lot better, as it covers the first few chapters of the game in full with mostly finished assets. In our Ace Attorney inspired game, you play as Princess Adela de Rex, a young heiress to the throne, and you are tasked with presiding over Crown Court. Similarly to AA games, you are involved in questioning witnesses, but you also restore order during heated debates, and compare opposing parties’ versions of events. The plot revolves around a group of classmates who are entangled in a dangerous social game that threatens their friendship, principles, and questions their nature. With one person leaving the game each day, friends are forced to choose between who stays and who’s eliminated while something sinister gathers around them. We are a Team of 3 Animation&Game Students from Germany, who created this Game as Part of our Bachelor's Degree. Our Goal was to create a Visual Novel which includes an explorable Environment, increasing the Immersion and Player Interactivity. The Wishing Stone is a mystery point & click puzzle adventure. It's also a visual novel with an emphasis on storytelling. Different choices and what you do while exploring/solving puzzles both can contribute to different endings. It has 7 endings (excluding the 2 bad ends) + a special chapter. Story: Ailsa unexpectedly receives a wishing stone from a suspicious witch. According to the witch, the wishing stone could grant her 3 wishes, but she must make the first one before midnight. Unfortunately a simple wish leads to unexpected developments. Nothing is what it seems and Ailsa soon realizes there are inconsistencies in her memory and in the world around her. Is she in a bad dream? How can she get back to her normal life? Hi everyone! I already know some of you through Discord server, I've been talking about this game my friends and I are working on, but let me introduce it to everyone in more detail here! Unwritten: How will your story end? is a F2P visual novel game that 15 of us worked together on, for more than 10 months! It will feature hybrid gameplay with interactive elements and choice-based system that WE KNOW will make a difference! We're hoping to bring something new to the world of visual novels, be it through the beautiful art, unique personalities of each series, or compelling storytelling that combines different interactive elements to create a truly exciting narrative. Also, featured series will be diverse with genres and will range from modern love and romance to mystery, fantasy, horror, comedy, drama… The first four series of the game have already been announced! Those are: Second Society (a paranormal/vampire story), Triple Scoop (a high school comedy setting), Gears of Snow and Cinders (a very cool fantasy/forbidden love series) and Business with Pleasure (set in a steamy, passionate location of a popular club!) The series first to be released is Business with Pleasure, and I'm happy to introduce Camila and Ignasi, main protagonists of the series! Keep in mind that these are not their only looks! Based on the choices you made in the game, the plot shifts to a different version of the same path. Those new paths triggered by the choices are creating a much larger story, and an entertaining experience that will be similar to reading the book or watching a TV series. Points based structure, which dictates the progression of the game. They are not implemented to add to the difficulty of the game, but to truly immerse players into the storyline and give them higher control while playing. The authenticity of the characters and the situations. Often, main characters and NPCs in games are lacking the backbone, or the conviction when doing something. We tried to counter that in the game and give them their own mindset, backgrounds, traumas and triggers, with some more realism woven in the plot. Ofc, the series and scenes will have trigger warnings when applicable! Diversity! We want our app to be inclusive, affirmative, and positive! Team Beyond has started developing its Fading Sky pilot project! Fading Sky is a visual novel storytelling game. This is a tragic and sad story set in a fantasy world after a global magical catastrophe. We were inspired by a series of games like Fate (Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero), Science Adventure (Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head), and of course Utawarerumono. GAMEPLAY The main features of the Fading Sky gameplay: - narration in the style of a visual novel with full voice acting (in English and Russian). - two main characters, the player's choice. - non-linear story with a choice. - the ability to influence the fate of two worlds at once. - Thoughtful and detailed dark fantasy setting. - study of the history of the world and characters. - torn pages of the book "The myths of Arret" describing the history of the world of Arret, which can be found in the most unexpected places in the game world. - more than 10 story endings. - eroge-element for PC versions of the game as a separate patch. GRAPHIC ARTS Fading Sky is a 2.5D RPG with fully animated scenes and characters. FullHD native resolution (1920 x 1080). A team of talented artists is working on this. PLOT AND CHARACTERS Fading Sky will tell you a tragic tale of the last moments of Arret's world. A story about those who will witness this, together with whom you will learn the history of the rise and fall of this once beautiful world. The tension of our story will strike from the very beginning of the narrative and will increase as the reason for which three of our contemporaries ended up in this dying world is clarified. In an attempt to understand what is happening, they will somehow close the last chapter of this mysterious story. LORE Inspired by various fantasy stories and a little bit of Celtic mythology, we created our own universe, which we called Fading Dimension or simply FD. This is elaborate lore, at many the era before the events of this game. We hope that Fading Sky will become just a small island in the Sea of Void of our history and a starting point for the implementation of all our ideas. We are also working on a card game in the FD universe rewound several eras before the start of the disaster. TECHNICAL PART The game is being developed on the studio's own engine FadingEngine, which is built on C++, OpenGL, and FMOD technologies, which allows the project to be ported to almost any of the well-known gaming platforms, from Windows/Linux to iOS/Android and even PS/XBOX. AS AN INTRODUCTION TO STORY History turns into legends, legends into myths, myths into fairy tales that are quickly forgotten. Perhaps once the world was different, lived according to different laws and unspoken rules, carried other creatures and other plants on its body. Served as a book for thousands of forgotten but massive stories. One of these stories has not yet received a full ending. NEAREST PLANS Soon, we plan to release a demo version of the game (Fading Sky: One dream before), which will become the zero chapter of the whole story, i.e. it will be a separate short backstory a few hours before the main plot of Fading Sky. We are also planning to release a trailer, where we are ready to show both an animated introduction to the game and some of the gameplay itself (where we will try to do without story spoilers). After that, we hope to launch the company on Kickstarter or Pathreon (we haven't decided exactly yet, but we already have interesting material rewards for our future bakers). We believe that video games are meant to push the boundaries, both technological and of the way we experience stories and beauty. We are passionate about every magical gem that comes from our fiery forge. The road from an idea to a final product requires patience and hard work but what an adventure it is! Hello everyone Most of our graphics are made on Procreate - our artist Michalina simply can't imagine working without this splendid tool. In previous articles, we wrote a bit about the process of creating graphics for our game (mostly backgrounds and renders), but today we will show you the process of creating cutscenes - it's not complicated, but the graphics must meet several requirements to be ready. Of course, the initial phase is to prepare a description of the graphics. After that our artist creates a concept. The goal is not to create an accurate frame, but just a simple graphic. We also want to see shadows and lights. Wonderfully we have it! But is it finished? Actually, it's the beginning of the fun After the initial concept is done, our artist gets some tips and she can create a comic book line art without shadows and lights. Another portion of tips and our artist again refines the frame. Looks much better, right? Great! The graphic looks good. The face expresses cold emotions, the room has taken shape. Ready! It's time to send the graphics to the next artist, who will color it. The artist sends us a frame with a question if the choice of colors is appropriate - we agree. Michalina starts improving the picture and sends us the final version. Finally, it's ready! We animate the frame and the final version is presented as below: We are very happy that we could show you the process of creating that frame. Luckily, there was a prophecy that when a certain child(called "The Hero of Fortune") will reach the age of 18, he will eat a golden fruit and gain enough powers to defeat the demon king and his army. One day, Prince Horace receives a letter from his father saying "The Hero of Fortune is now in the eastern market, escort him to the castle where he can eat the golden fruit". When Horace goes to the market he meets 3 different girls, each claiming to be the Hero of Fortune. Now Horace must look into the girls and determine who is the real Hero of Fortune, who are the impostors and what do they want. But his adventures won't end there... Features -Three unique routes with different atmospheres, each based on one of the classic RPG roles: The mage, the warrior and the rogue. -350,000 words (which roughly translates to 25 hours of gameplay based on what I read online). -Multiple route mystery! -About 12 endings + true ending. That doesn't count short bad endings, for instance deciding to have sex with the demon princess in an active volcano(which can happen in the story btw). Characters Nozomi Nozomi is a cheerful and energetic girl. She lived in the forest most of her life with her demonic magician gangster bunny mentor(there is an explanation for that), so she doesn't know a lot about civilized society and gets excited about every little thing(with a lot of funny misunderstandings). Nozomi has an endless supply of sexual jokes and has a talent to use them exactly in the worst time. She isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but she has a great affinity for magic.(magic is mainly used by demons) Riko Riko has a short fuse and quite a lot of ego. She won numerous gladiator championships before with her amazing agility. Her ego is quite fragile, and with her childish and stubborn attitude that's quite the explosive combo. She loves drinking and speaking high language. Riko's former family was a family of gladiators, but they disowned her for being too weak. Now Riko plans to beat her father in the finals and take revenge on him. She also possesses a drawing of Horace for some reason... Haruka Haruka is a shy and insecure girl. She is a genius that solves riddles in the blink of an eye and predicts what others will do based on cold logic. She lives in the slums of the Capital and is very physically weak. Although Haruka is insecure most of the time, when she faces an intellectual challenge she transforms into a strong woman with a lot of confidence. She holds some very strong political views regarding the royal family. Contrary to her innocent looks, she is an avid fan of torture. He is a little spoiled, but he understands how big his responsibility is. He cares a lot about Alteria and will even risk his life to keep his kingdom safe. He is not a genius, but he finds some creative and crazy ideas to solve hard problems. He is a huge gladiator fan and an otaku. He is also quite handsome.(which does help him in some situations...) This is a Chaos;Child-esque animation to "Delusion of Zero" - a short story to Chaos;Head written by SciADV scenario writer Hayashi Naotaka. Recounting the memories of 'Shogun', it serves as prequel to the events of Chaos;Head and sheds some more light on his intentions as well as his past in general: I plan on adapting the story in three parts, with part one and two (Black Sky and Blue Sky) being an introduction as well as the main part (Shogun's POV) respectively. The "introduction" is a slightly altered and truncated remake of the AA ending (Noah's "Blue Sky" ending), leading up to the point where Delusion of Zero starts off. The altered script is supposed to serve as more suitable exposition, as Delusion of Zero could be seen as sort of midquel. The first two parts I'll upload today, the remaining third part focusing on Rimi's epilogue I'll upload as soon as I find the time to finish it. ---------------- Previously there has been an in-game rendering done by a group around spiderfreak1011.
