  2. How do you feel about Otome games? Princess Britania specifically? There is a project to translate it that has a JPN->ENG + JPN->SPN translator (same person) but no editor thus far. PM jenyjj or post in the project thread if you are interested in helping out. The link to the project thread is on vndb.
  3. Hello! I just joined today and so I wanted to ask my first question here, which is if anyone knows any eroge games like Custom Maid 3D series or Artificial Academy or even Custom Ai-Droid, etc. but targeted towards a basically female audience? I have been searching for years and there are none of any in existence and it's heartbreaking to see, so many anime games that focus on female character creation only, hell even otome games focus on customizing the female player which is complete bull pucky, why bother making a game targeted for women if you're not going to make it right? Seems to be a common thing where people "attempt" to target the female audience only to make a poor quality game we don't like and then shrug and say "Well I guess woman just don't like these kinds of games", facepalm worthy moment and it's astonishing how often it happens... and by make the games poorly I don't just mean the guys all have options ranging from Ugly to Okay appearances and options, or the art style is fugly, or both, not to mention the woman player is a bottom like come on, if I wanted to have that I would have just booted up one of the thousands of 3D Custom Eroge's I've played again. So yeah, if anyone knows of any games like these eroge ones but for women I would be very much appreciative to hear about it.
  4. "Some person" hooked me up to work at Yosuga no Sora/Haruka na Sora translation project. I've been an English language editor there. But I can be an editor in my native language, Spanish, too. I'm from Spain. I'm very good at English but a beginner at Japanese. If you're translating your project from Japanese to Spanish, I'm afraid I can't be a translator, as I have low level in Japanese. But if you're translating from English to Spanish (which I know is definitely a thing), I can give some bang to your project, no doubt. Aside from that I can be an editor in Spanish, assuming I get text in English or Spanish, at least. I've read a lot and know Spanish by heart. I also make practically no typos as I revise lines and have experience in programming (checking out informatic code), and I don't make ortographical mistakes in Spanish at all. Overall I enjoy creating decent text and playing with meanings and expressions. I've also read around 200 visual novels. So, hit me with your proposals, and let's work together! By the way, I completed the edit of Yahiro route in Haruka na Sora (in English). Maybe my work has been overwritten since then, but it should be mostly intact.
  5. Jack Jeanne have good story and I find gameplay very fun, I love game very much and I'm going to play it again soon. Art it's beautiful as well.
  6. It's nothing special but I've started playing Olympia Soiree recently I think the world is pretty interesting, there's some stuff which is a bit ehhhh but it's nothing too major that's making me drop the game. I've played through most of the routes, I just have 2 left. I was thinking of getting Jack Jeanne since the art looks nice but I have no clue how it's like story wise
  7. To celebrate the release of Yuzuki's patch of Ginharu (As in the full patch of Ginharu), I'll post two songs from her route below. Yuki no Neiro Sweet Wish (Yuzuki's Ending Song) By the way I like Sweet Wish song the most out of all Ginharu ending songs. Anyway, the singer for both songs is Sasaki Sayaka, who also sang Marika's song in Hoshiori. Other than that, she also sang several VNs opening, such as Amayui duology, Kirikoi, Sousaku Kanojo, and Saku Saku.
  8. This should be the very last update for Ginharu, and yes we finally have Yuzuki's patch release. Admittedly there's still some QA work who currently done by the member, but generally speaking the current patch should be enough to enjoy all of Ginharu. Go get the patch from here, and have fun. Also note the patch are only tested for physical edition, so we don't know if it could work for download version as well (Feel free to test the patch if you get the download version).

  10. My question is in the title, maybe about 2 years ago, it is impossible to access the dmm website anymore : the website seems to be willing to force me to log in each time I try to access one of their page, and once I log in with my old account, I get a blank page saying "sorry! this content is not available in your region." I tried 2 differents vpn and still got locked, I was thinking the account might be the issue, but I am not sure, I dunno what to do. If someone has any idea or managed to solve this issue please tell me.
  11. I don't know which game to buy, it's a choice between Amazing Grace or Mashiroiro Symphony HD can only afford one of the games, know Mashiroiro Symphony HD isn't out yet. but I buy Amazing Grace because I can't afford Mashiroiro Symphony HD when it comes out. Might wait and buy Amazing Grace later. What do you think?

  15. It's been several months but there has been some progress, here's the plot synopsis and more details. STORY: Follow Shawn, a young student from Celestial Academy and create the theater play of his dreams, with the help of the help of the other students from the theather club. Things will not be as easy as Shawn thinks, since an entity full of mistery and darkness is about to change the city forever. CHARACTERS: There are seven main characters: Shawn: The protagonist, someone full of hope that doesn't know how to express his emotions. Luna: Someone who loves theater plays and wishes to be the best writer to ever exist. Lily: A very friendly person that's full of fears and anxiety. Hex: Someone that loves her friends more than anything, but has a very dark and secret past. Britney: Someone strong and very intelligent that also loves to collect jewels and valuable objects. Amelia: The president of the theater club, loves music and urban legends. Anthony: Amelia's ex-boyfriend, he's very serious and doesn't smile too often. And many other characters that you will encounter on this dark and twisted story. INSPIRATION: While creating this story, I've been getting a lot of inspiration mainly from two stories Twin Peaks, The Caligula Effect. Other stories that inspired this game would be Silent Hill, Higurashi and Madoka Magica. I'm full of hope that I'll be able to finish this one day, and thank you everyone that's interested in it, I would say that this is my main project, a story that I've always wanted to tell, so I hope that everythings go well.
  16. But it's not that they are region blocked, but rather, in a way too simplistic way: the computer cannot process the games because it doesn't have the tools to read the program. Emulating a locale is not that you are letting the game know you are in japan, but enabling the computer to read "japanese way of programing".
  17. My personal belief is that MTL should only be used like one would use an electric dictionary, looking up single words or phrases rather than just dumping a huge amount of text into it. For some reason, even today's MTL engines seem to have trouble with common colloquialisms and turns of phrase. Considering how often they are used, it is inevitable that careless usage of MTL will only produce poor results. In addition, when I occasionally test the freely-available ones on common narrative text, the results tend to get jumbled, which is probably because most of the data they put in is based on conversational Japanese, as opposed to the language more commonly used in literature. The results are better on dialogue but still several steps short of what can be done by a skilled translator, unfortunately.
  18. In the end MTL is just a tool, which mean it's up to us on how to use the tool to make legitimate translation. Of course though, considering what we have in the past it's very hard to erase the stigma of MTL, especially with on how bad they were in the past, and it would be still hard sell to use MTL anyway even if the translator did their best to edit the line. That said, at least you can still use MTL as some sort of dictionary at the absolute minimum (And even then it's debatable), as shown in My Girlfriend is Blue-Collar Work (Which has very lengthy title describing four phases of the story). Oh yes, it's interesting on how some tried to defend MTL because 'it got point across better compared to the localization', which make sense seeing the people who mention it are read the VN in Japan with them most likely use MTL to read the untranslated VN in the beginning. For localization, well some did have their fault for sure, especially with a Shiravune translator did translate 'Onii-chan' as 'Bubby' in Kamiyaba simply because he was probably homesick at that time and remember on how their family calling their older brother as such. There's also Chrono Clock and Nukitashi, which is not concidence both are worked out by the same editor (Who already quit from the VN translation scene). I never care about anime controversy seeing I using sub anyway and even then I could try to less care about the political stuff in the sub, although Saban cases is quite special seeing they manage to make DDPC is more controversial then already is (It's related to the story and character). For elaboration, Saban removed several episodes, which won't work in DDPC seeing each episodes has some continuity hints towards the main story. PS - By the way my stance is I still prefer to not use MTL, although it's not like I can calling out anyone who do it anyway seeing I also involved in making MTL patch of Amayui.
  19. About mixing real-life politics with gaming, I see where you're coming from. Sometimes it's nice to disconnect from the world's chaos and just immerse yourself in a good story. But remember, it's okay to critique media and push for positive change within the industry.

  21. When it come to minigame, most of the time I can't play it well if it was suddenly shoved with it. I say this because I suddenly remember the card game in Everlasting Summer that was suddenly popped up when I read it, and I was annoyed with it so much that I'm a bit happy with the one who suggest it got his misfortune (Granted turned out it's quite easy, but at the first playthrough I just skipped through the rule so it's kind of my fault in the end). For Little Busters baseball gameplay, actually there's story reason for this but it would be quite a spoiler to talk. Oh yes, if you want the example of the VN with minigame, there's also Rose Guns Days with the gameplay is you need to click the bubble whenever there's a fight to represent whenever the MC strike the enemies or defend against the attack. Beat Blade Haruka and Aoishiro also has one with the former is very notable seeing Haruka is gameplay VN, although it only available in the Extra so it won't distract you in the main game. That's all for what I can comment in regard of this topic.
  22. I have similar with soulslikes. although I lacking more reflexes than patience. But their lore usually contains exactly the mix of dark fantasy and cosmic horror I like.
  23. As you know, our small studio is located in Ukraine. Therefore, we bring you unpleasant news. You've probably noticed that we post less and less often, and the reason for this is, of course, the military action right under our noses. Developing a novel in such conditions is difficult, to put it mildly. We don’t have enough hands, money and there is disunity among nations, plus recently another negative factor affected our work. The background artist refuses his obligations, communication with the editor is lost, and the director… the director has electricity 12 hours a day. The PR campaign didn't bear fruit… We hope that we will meet again, follow the news on VN on our website. Our work has been suspended; we definitely won’t be able to release the novel this year. Which is probably for the best, since the community is not too happy with what we show. Maybe the Demo will see this world but only if people try to put their guns down. P.S. Very ironic, given the plot of our novel and Leto's book, isn't it?
