  1. Spoiler

Yeah, I thought that Fal had a bit of an impish personality in the beginning and was somewhat different than her perfect persona. I just had no idea that her real personality was that twisted. What made me still like her is that I think that in her own warped way she did love Chris and she genuinely wanted to bare her soul to him. Really, if you think about it the one she really hurt the most in that exchange was Asino she just completely used him.

I also just finished Lise's route and again I'm pissed off at that final part

    Spoiler

Why the fuck did you let her go alone with that Skeletor looking motherfucker when you knew he was untrustworthy, knew what he had done to Lise, and knew what he was capable of doing to her. You dumb bastard.

Fal's route ...... left me utterly dumbfounded at that scene, to the point where I couldn't even form coherent thoughts.

Symphonic Rain certainly had some very interesting moments.

    Spoiler

I know right? That's why I love it so much I was completely taken by her and even in the end I couldn't help but still really like her despite what she did. The cool thing about replaying it is seeing when Fal decided that she would really hurt Chris. It all started with her figuring out that it was Chris's feelings that made him play so beautifully and that he didn't sound the same when he was feeling happy. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/325102095084683265/617470016476020881/20190831162320_1.jpg

This is the trigger that caused Fal to hurt him so she could awaken his full potential.

  3. Finished replaying Fal's route in Symphonic Rain and I was reminded why I loved her and her route so much

    Spoiler

I also remembered the pain I felt when I first played her route. It's so interesting to see how everything led up to what transpired. Fal was such a complex character and I haven't seen her like in a vn since then.

Now it's time for the route of a lonely girl sitting in the far corner of a silent room.

Ah, that clears it up a bit. I did think it seemed kinda odd for something like that to happen in a VN like Majikoi, but then again, there are certain VNs that take some quite sudden turns so I figured it wouldn't be totally out of the question.

Yeah, that's a scene that really left a bad taste in my mouth and colored my view of Majikoi ever since then

It's an awful scene that really doesn't belong in a comedy vn

  5. Houzuki Masaomi: from Sharin No Kuni

He had such a fearsome and threatening presence like all good villains had and he was real enigmatic at the same time and it was hard to pin down his motives. There was a lot of mystery behind him

Till they fucked up his character by completely explaining his entire backstory which robbed him of so much mystique. Fuck you fan disc!

Kotomine Kirei: Again like Houzuki he was a villain that you couldn't help but like and still want to triumph over.

    Spoiler

His brief team up in Heavens Feel was the best part of the route and that grudge match at the end was the stuff of legends

Maou from G Senj: He played the antagonist role so well and was a prefect foil for Haru. His master scheme in the last part of the vn really blew me away.

Kelkan from Sekien no Inganock: He really reminded me of one of the villains from a spaghetti western. He was just incredibly cold and intimidating plus I liked the weird relationship he had with

    Saitou Tamaki

    From Kara No Shoujo:

    Spoiler

His reveal came seemed to come out of nowhere and really floored me I had absolutely no idea that he could have been the mastermind. Also I just assumed those serial murders wouldn't have much baring on the killings that happened in Kara.

Chaos from Tsukihime: I really just loved the way he looked and acted. Super intimidating

  6. It's given me the opportunity to play through a few truly incredible stories that have had a lasting impression on me and influenced a lot of the writing I want to do

Plus, it's shown me a bunch of truly great female characters that I would never had encountered had I just plain regular old videogames

    Negative

Fuck man I can't hardly talk about it with anyone without a shit ton of caveats and provisos. You know, I think it might have something to do with some vns called I Want to Throat Fuck You Till You Pass Out~Fun Sucking Whore Time!!? or I Dream of Semen Filled Sluts!

    But, maybe that's just me.

Sorry but i think 80% of it is overrated slice of life crap: play with cats , collect caterpillars, catch a cat , help serve food , participate in a song contest , help prepare lunch, play baseball , play kick the can, go on a date , repair a bench , move a table , clean the table , ... i can go on for hours and hours .... That material is for 12-14 years old , except a few rare wtf moments , which could be easily adapted .... then its a beautiful novel for kids ... i don't contest that .... but for adults ... now way , you have to be low IQ to enjoy this drivel :(

  8. I have no idea what's going on with the industry but I hope it goes through a change

Seems like it's been puttering around for the last couple of years or decade or so.

Hopefully new or changed  companies can breath some air into those stale lungs

Whatever the state of the industry is if it leads to less high school themed vns then I am all for it
