  1. Steins;Gate (everyone is either in college or working) Saya no Uta (main characters are in college) Rose Guns Days (everyone is a worker pretty much)
  2. I take it you're going by the Higurashi release date registered in VNDB (the name of your blog is VNDBReview, after all). I particularly like considering the non-Kai portion a 2004 VN, because that's when the final chapter of that part was released. I even consider both parts a total package as a 2006 VN, but that's way too subjective by that point.
  3. Considering the guy is going to jail, that VN may either put a really positive or a really negative effect on him, tbh.
  4. I mean, between MangaGamer, SolPress and NekoNyan snatching everyone, can Sekai Project even partner with any new notable VN company? Maybe Studio Beast for J.Q.V, since Fruitbat Factory doesn't seem to like 18+ titles?
  5. What kind of variety should prevail when it comes to H Scenes: different body types, different positions or different locations? (made it in a whim, wonder if i'll regret making this poll or not)
  6. Huh, considering My Merry Maybe has ridiculous VNDB ratings (low seeding, though), i'm surprised that the prequel is a love comedy. I'm also pleasantly surprised with the positive talk about ONE 2, since with how little talk there is about it i just thought it was a cash-in spiritual sequel.
  7. I just go for the love interest that seems to have the most chemistry with the protagonist.
  8. Next thing you know, there will one translation calling onii-chan "brudda".
  9. One thing i wish other VNs borrowed from Kusarihime is how characters interact visually with the background. It was so refreshing to see a character visually lay down on the bed when the text establishes it.
  10. Biggest case i can think of is Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road (Ai's Route). There is also Clannad (Tomoyo's Route), but that aspect is only towards the end of the route. Finally, there is White Album 2, but you can argue that the romance never truly develops though.
  11. Himawari The Sunflower. I'll never forget the moment when i realized JOPs can and will overrate VNs.
  12. Finished it, i expected a "just decent" and cliched charage and that's exactly what i got so i was satisfied. Ranking down heroines and routes (leaving out Miu since she has more of an ending than a route and i didn't like her chemistry with protag) Heroines: Michiru>Chronos>DD>Makoto>Misaki Routes: Chronos>Makoto>DD>Michiru>Misaki
  13. The way this year is going, Tsukikagerou might be your last hope for a elite VN from 2001 (aside from No Reality).
  14. ^ Quite frankly, it might be better to make a list for the entire year with links to actual photos that you can find for the packages and constantly update it like kivandopulus does for his VN of the month list.
  15. Sakura no Uta as the obvious choice. Taishou Mebiusline and Shingakkou so that more people surrender to the "fujoshi hell". Since MangaGamer already has a relationship with Liar-Soft, i hoped for raiL-Soft as a new partner.
  16. I gotta say, Clannad is not the best choice for a first VN, because it's pretty easy to get yourself lost in the choices. Then again, that is one of the reasons why it's my favorite VN of all time. Also, it might be easier to ask which Key VNs to avoid, since there are a lot of good ones.
  17. Just so you know, the Sakura Taisen games have pretty similar storytelling to Galaxy Angel (and there are read-along translations out there if you don't know japanese).
  18. Seeing the ones you're currently playing, Kara no Shoujo is gonna feel more fresh than Rewrite so i'm recommending that (despite me liking Rewrite more).
  19. No Butterfly Seeker? It got good EGS ratings, so i expected the japanese audience to put it highly there. Also, Rance 10 and Summer Pockets alone make this year far better than 2017.
  20. "Sayooshi is garbage, all hail Nijuuei" should become a galaxy brain meme in these forums. Update: It is definitely overhyped, but i didn't dislike nearly as much as you did. Shion, Aruiwa handled that kind of story in a more exciting way, but Sayooshi makes up for it for some really good directing (between the filters and timing for the effects). H-Scenes were a lot like It's my own invention from SubaHibi in the sense that they were too silly to be taken seriously.

there Edit: Just remembered this as a non-troll choice.
  22. Cool, now the 50 people that stuck with the anime are gonna found out what the hell was that sudden Bey flashback at the last episode.
  23. The Letter (forgotten after a few youtubers finished it, but has one of the best branch systems in the genre) Kizuato (only spoken about in historical discussions, but has a really good introductory route and entertaining joke endings) Vampirdzhija Vjedogonia (closer to good than great, but it's a fun action story) EoSD for Busy Person (seriously entertaining if you've ever been a part of the Touhou fandom)
