  1. I'm impressed, this was nowhere near as bad as i thought i'd be. Also: I like how the villain from the source material is so evil she makes Eva act out of character when trying to imitate her.
  2. Here's what i understood from my barebones knowledge of literature: -The games are more akin to writers with completely different philosophies trying to write a coherent story, which leads to the conflict between mystery vs fantasy. -Battler's story is just a plot point for Ange's story, therefore it doesn't really matter if it turns out to be a mystery or a fantasy, since it's a doubt that is not really meant to be fulfilled (since i'm brazillian, i'll use the "Dom Casmurro" story for reference to that kind of doubt). -It makes me wonder: what would happen if the genres discussion was more explored in some spin-off for the series? Maybe make it so the characters start having crazy discussions about Ange's story being mystery (because of the Ushiromiya killings), fantasy (because of magic events and Ange's strong belief) or Drama (because of the doubt being more relevant than the mystery and the possibility of Ange's belief being mere unreliable narrative).
  3. A little under halfway into chapter 3 of Umineko, and i'd like to know how close this theory is:
  4. No lie, Meiya's ending from Muv Luv Extra is one of the most unintentionally funniest things i've read in a while.
  5. After doing NG+ of Kamidori Alchemy Meister, it makes me wonder: how many big time gaming companies would make about 40% of the game's content DLC (specially the deadbeat dungeon)?
  6. Mainly because i love how relevant the intro is after you finish the game once.
  7. By VNDB's broad definition: 69 By my personal definition: 56
  8. This comes from my weird "greatest = most recognizable" definition: Fate Stay Night: Became huge in the visual novel community, just became huge in the anime community and is a little recognizable in the gaming community because of Fate Unlimited Codes and Fate Extra; Clannad: Huge in both visual novel and anime communities, barely recognizable in gaming community; Higurashi: Same as Clannad, really; Steins Gate: Almost the same as Clannad, with a little more recognition from the gaming community. On a footnote: With the love Tsukihime got from the visual novel community and the decent sucess of the Melty Blood series, i believe it would be considered the GOAT if it had a sucessful anime.
  9. Off the top of my head: 5: Miyako (MajiKoi) 4: Saya (Saya no Uta) 3: Kohaku (Tsukihime) 2: Nagisa (Clannad) 1: Kurisu (Steins Gate)
  10. Just read Michiru's route in Grisaia, so let me ask this:
  11. A action visual novel where the routes aren't about which girl the main character ends up with, but about which major character becomes the final opponent.
  12. (didn't know where else to post this) i had no idea visual novel commercials like that even existed (starts at 13:16)
  13. I was randomly looking up bad endings of games on youtube and came across the School Days bad endings, and i was like "wtf kinda of game is this where that can happen", so i did more research and watched more youtube videos about that genre until i eventually read G-Senjou no Maou and Fate/Stay Night.
  14. Hm, might as well answer. Well, i'm not really into NXT at this point because it seems the main title picture is only gonna really advance once Itami comes back. When it comes to the main roster, the shows are really boring, so you might as well just watch the highlights on youtube, but i'm interested in the Reigns vs Rollins and Wyatt vs Taker storylines. Hopefully Reigns gets the title in november so that more shit can start happening regarding the world title. On a sidenote, i find it kinda funny that no one in this "visual novel aficionado" website has any interest in japanese wrestling.
  15. Kuki Hideo is the best character in the MajiKoi series, mainly because he's so great and hilarious as a support character as well as an antagonist.
  16. The closest thing i can think of is this unfinished let's play that explain the basics: http://brokenforum.com/index.php?threads/101-ways-of-ending-a-conversation-lets-play-amagami.7441/
