  1. Well, my bad. In that case then perhaps Sumaga was more appropriate comparison when it's been four years that they already finished translated, and yet there's still no single clue in regard of release date since the announcement by JAST - granted that there's editing work, but I think four years was too much and that's not to mention JAST policy in which they'll prepare physical version first which would likely took long time. Oh, and Sumaga did also started as fan translation as well just like Saku Saku.
  2. As for Muramasa, apparently the writer was the same as Hanachirasu. From VNDB, I'd like to think that the writer was learned their lesson from Hanachirashu and apply the lesson in Muramasa, so much that the average score between those two at VNDB were very contrast (7.11 for Hanachirasu and 9.02 for Muramasa). Although I would like to say that to find out if Muramasa was really good as people said or perhaps overrated and plain horrible, well it's up to you to find out I suppose whenever it is. Regardless of that, good review there.
  3. Apparently I miss Kiriririri's info in regard of Steam didn't allow weekend release, but I think from what I understand in regard of his post and Nandemonai's as well was strengthening my opinion that Sekai did really had a case of bad planning for this. Yeah, maybe like Nandemonai said it's possible that Saku Saku might had sudden engine break before the release, but still in my opinion they could just delay the release date back at August 25th to TBA until they're certainly sure that they took care all of the requirement for Steam launching, instead of announced the release date at August 31st there because I'm sure that Sekai was already experienced enough to not make a basic mistake like this in regard of release - but apparently I was wrong here. Sorry, just want to write it out here. If anything, at least it wasn't as long as Yoake in which it's been already fully translated for about more than four years and yet we apparently got a halfway edited release in which they could just do that earlier instead of waiting until 2016, and it's leaked as well.
  4. Well I guess it could be useful to help people who confuse to determine what's their next VN was, although in my case it's not really helpful though to tell the truth (Thanks anyway).
  5. I don't know what to say here to be honest, but I'm glad that you managed to slowly adapted to Japanese culture there. From what I'd read I think there's a lot if you want to adjust there, but I guess you would knew better much than me here considering that you're the one who experienced that by yourself. Either way, hope you had fun living in Japan. PS - By the way, if your appetite was plummeted because of the heat, I'd heard that eating something sour might be help to regain the appetite although I might be wrong here - but it might be worth a try though.
  6. As for Atlach-Nacha, I knew that there's a review for this VN and the score was positive. I won't post the link here because you already knew that as well, but let me tell you that from the review alone looks like it could be a treat for anyone else who like dark yuri story or dark setting in general. For now I just hope that Mangagamer would license this in the future albeit the chance was very small, considering that this is one of Alice Soft VN and it had some yuri element in there. Heart Work, well I just tried this back at 2010's iirc and I got the ending very quickly. Not that impressive to me here although maybe anybody else say otherwise though. What I knew is that the studio behind Heart Work was also behind Bible Black and Discipline, and the characters was design by Sei Shoujo which is might be a plus considering that I read Starless review in which it's tell us that one of the positive point from Starless was character design - design by Sei Shoujo of course. As for me, well I doubt that I'll go back to play Heart Work in near future.
  7. If I remember, MOON was the first VN that was created by Jun Maeda and the music was composed by Orito Shinji, who as we knew the main staff of KEY. Yes MOON was the first VN for both of them, although it might be quite hard to understand though of how could the main staff of KEY which is mostly famous for slice of life and nakige genre make a VN like MOON, which from what I see is had some dark premise in regard of revenge and rape (And scat as well). As for the VN itself, well I still not read it yet but seeing that it was translated by Amaterasu I think it should be good considering that usually fan won't pick a VN to be translated if it isn't good, even though the score at VNDB showed otherwise (It's at 6.75 for average score).
  8. Late to write this here, but Sol Press did release the demo for Sakusakura here so enjoy. As for my impression here, I would say that I tried to ignore the stiff translation there, so it's quite fine to me here but perhaps anyone else here would say otherwise. That aside, I'd found that there's one annoying problem from the demo in which it was that sometimes the spoken lines and written lines was mismatch. Granted it was only the demo and they release it hastily, but I afraid that if they keep make a mistake like that it could be decreased the enjoyment of playing Sakusakura. I just hope that Sol Press would willingly to fix that problem for the final release later. PS - By the way, right now the KS was gathered 17,272 funds with 4 days left.
  9. I think we already had several threads like this in regard of asking which VNs that you want to be translated, but I guess there's no harm in regard of answering here. As for my answer here, like I stated several times I wanted Soukoku no Arterial, Madou Koukaku, and Flyable Heart to be translated. The reason should be obvious why, because the available translation for those three was very bad even though I still understand it. For additional wishes here, I would like to see if Mangagamer would be able to got Sengoku Koihime in the future considering that it's easy target for Steam even with the new routes 18+ version there. Also I would like to see Gin'iro Haruka to be translated in the future, either with Tsurezure or anyone else (Could be official as well). Hello Lady, Senshinkan and Corona could be interesting as well if we had the English version for that, so does with both of Fureraba and Amairo Islenaut too. And for the last request, I would like to see whether Frontwing would managed to bring Sakura no Uta in English version now that Frontwing managed to release Subahibi in English.
  10. As for mine, well to tell the truth I didn't play much VN this year here because mostly I just tried new released VNs there lol. Although if I may tell what I was enjoyed (And finished) here, it was Deardrops that I was finished as part of VN Reading Club. There's also enjoyed Flyable Heart in which I enjoyed playing Suzuno's route here even with the patch that had crappy translation there. There's also Wagahigh in which is surprisingly tame in regard of fanservice considering that the girls boobs was quite big, so much that it's pretty normal if we expect fanservice involving boobs - I still didn't finished this though. That's all that I could say for now.
  11. Well, Maria was also available as playable character in both of Quest and IX according to Wiki if you ask whether Maria was in Rance Quest or not.
  12. Unfortunately it's very rare if we speaking about VN platform hybrid, and the only one that was translated would be Dangan Ronpa V3 which it about to be released at 26th later. It's apparently hybrid for more than one game, so the size was quite big if you considering to play it - about 26 GB according to Steam store page. Oh, and I think you could try Dangan Ronpa as well if you really interested with the franchise as whole, although for the first two VNs there wasn't any platform gameplay though.
  13. Here's her bio if you interested, and hope it could answer your question.
  14. Apparently this week Tay was at around Carribean where hurricane Irma was just passing, and the damage at there was quite severe in which it also affected the internet connection as well. So once again, unfortunately we couldn't had VNTS here just like last week. Even so, I decided to make the VNTS Review here so enjoy and if I missing the updates here just write in comment. For the title, since we had both of Utawarerumono 3 and Boukaku release there I decided to join two title here - Bocchi Musume from Boukaku full title and Futari no Ikemen from Utawarerumono 3 (The real subtitle for Utawarerumono 3 was Futari no Hakuoro), although it was the truth though that Boukaku did had two handsome man hence the title 'Futari no Ikemen' (Two handsome men, and by the way apparently this is also the title for a doujin drama CD yaoi porn lol) which of course should be obvious considering that Boukaku was otome game in the first place. Other than the releases, this week we lacking the updates here if I may speak the truth. Although of course there's still some updates here, In which I'll try to report on that. For fan translation, let me do the roundup for this week fan translation segment. For the roundup here, we had Loverable was at 53.2% TLC-ed and 21.4% edited (Kaho's route was at 13.25% translated), Pure Pure was at 29.54% translated with Chapter 2 was at 58.33% translated, and Tsukiyori was at 15.3% translated. As we had Subahibi released, finally we could see a progress from Sayooshi which right now it was at 43.9% translated now that apparently vvav was finished with Subahibi and imouto hemorroid VN thing, so hopefully we could see more progress from Sayooshi here. For the last progress here, we had Tsurezure do the update on Tsujidou in which it was at 47.3% overall translated with Ai's route was finally reach 90% mark (92.47%) translated, and they also stated that they should finished Ai's route next week and release Ai's patch at September's end (After doing image editing, second reading, and make the patch). That's all for fan translation section. As for Mangagamer, I think that they'll gonna had the batch of updates at next week - and by the way they announced the release date for Space Live which is at 29th later (I'll talk about that later there). As for this week, they released Boukaku in which it was already been a year since it was announced back at AX 2016. As for the premise, we had a girl who is shunned because of her height and her scary face and the shunned was causing her confidence to be plummeted. At least until she met with two handsome men in which they would change the girl's life forever, by turning her into a model although the girl was not quite thrilling for the chance though at first. The premise here was remind me of Paradise Kiss anime, especially in regard of recruiting an ordinary girl to became a model although back in Paradise Kiss we only had one love interest though. For more additional info, this VN was actually had sex scene which is usually lack in any otome VN because most of that were didn't had sex scenes. Anyway, have fun for playing Boukaku out there if you already got that. Right now Sakusakura was still gathering 15,874 with a week remaining. To tell the truth, it's looks very worrying considering that Sol Press only had little time if they really want to gather 24,000, and yet right now they just barely managed to got almost two third of the goal. Hope that by the end of KS that they managed to release it. For the last update, we had Utawarerumono 3 in which it was for console (PS4) so if you didn't had the console obviously you couldn't play that (Like me here). As for Utawarerumono itself, I think the first VN was conclusive enough although apparently Leaf was felt otherwise though so much that they made two sequels for Utawarerumono ie they want to milk Utawarerumono series - I would also like to ask the question though why they didn't release both of Utawarerumono sequels for Steam yet. My nitpick aside, I believe that Utawarerumono 3 was look quite good so if you already owned Utawarerumono 3, have fun for playing that. That's all for this week, and once again see you next week.
  15. Here's another Subahibi track that I quite enjoyed here, and hope you like it.
  16. As promised by Tsurezure here, we got another progress here and it goes like: Common Route Part 1: 100.0% Common Route Part 2: 100.0% Ai: 92.47% Renna: 0.0% Maki: 0.0% Saeko: 0.0% Total: 47.3% They promised us that by next week they should be finished up Ai's route translation, and after that released Ai's patch at September's end. That's all for this week in regard of Tsujidou.
  17. Well, looks like I forgot to update this thread here last week lol. Anyway, right now it was at 15.3% translated for this week here and that's all for now.
  18. Late to say here I knew. Anyway, happy 18th birthday to our @Funyarinpa there and hope you had good year ahead once again.
  19. With 10 days left, it's still at 14,917 gathered which of course was quite slow. Hope that there would be last days burst just like usual Kickstarters beforehand, and if it's not happen just hope that the developer would find another way to distribute it just like ChuSingura (Of course I hope it would be successful). Oh, I'm pretty late to share this but nevertheless I decided to share it here since it was in regard of Sakusakura here. Here's Oprainfall interview with Sol Press below, and enjoy. INTERVIEW with Sol-Press Featuring Sakura Sakura
  20. What I could say is that looks like Circus put the least effort here to produce this VN, which is visible from the estimation size at Steam - only 300 MB while for the same kind of VN it could be at least 1 GB, but then again perhaps Circus was compress the size just like Dal Segno which is only 2 GB (Very low size for nowadays VN with that kind of graphic). Although the lack of voice was certainly prove that Circus didn't put much effort for this VN though, especially when Pulltop even put slight effort for Lovekami by adding the voice. As for hidden from Japanese people thing, maybe in the future Japan could get the better version of this ie added H Scenes just like Lovekami. But then again, I would said that even with H Scenes it's on my lower priorities for now.
  21. Well, Subahibi just like everyone else here although I'm still in the prologue though lol. Anyway, as for the interface at least it's pretty standard so no complaining here, although to register the change in Config you must click OK first though which could be slightly inconvinience. Other than that, the graphic was okay with me here. As for my impression of prologue, it was more like Ikikoi only with all the cast were girls (And less violent obviously). I said this because Zakuro said that she had the maid role, while Tsukasa said that she had the role of younger sister and she also stated that her older twin (Kagami) did had role childhood friend - which is exactly like the role that 3/4 cast of Ikikoi's heroines take (It help that the same seiyuu was return in Ikikoi, with the exception of Zakuro's seiyuu). Other than that, I like that Zakuro was talking about the division of the role in society and take an example in regard of her acquaintance who like to work on all of VN important aspect by himself so much that it caused delay for the release is like SCA-DI mock himself - because from what I gather he was like that especially in regard if Sakura no Uta, in the bathroom while wearing school swimsuit nonetheless when she was about to was Yuki's front. Other than those events, there's also the plot which is searching for Summer Triangle which would be important in prologue end but of course it would be irrelevant to the overall plot of Subahibi. Oh, if you want short summary of Subahibi here I would say that I enjoy this so far, although I rarely had time to play it fully though. I'll try to see through of this VN even if it take months.
  22. As for Boukaku, after reading the trial I think I didn't interested much with this. But regardless I think it's quite funny though with the blonde guy being stupid one and the black hair being straight one, and also the female MC there was quite weak willed although perhaps she was really insecured with her height and her look. Have fun if you already looking forward to playing this.
  23. I got more info in regard of Saku Saku delay, and apparently other than want to make it perfect it was because they still need to handle the engine which is apparently buggy - caused by updated assets or something like that. Still didn't change the fact that they had the bad release planning though, in which Sekai should take care all of the engine and permission problem for Saku Saku first before announced the release date - not to mention that they did that mistake twice in span of one week.
  24. Good write as always. As for To Heart, it was one of the most trendsetting eroge in Japan according to Wikipedia because it started the genre of school slice of life genre for the eroge. So, if some people here like (Or despise perhaps) the genre in which is so abundant there it was thanks to To Heart that make it happen. Another trendsetting VN here was One and Kanon, in which I'm sure that you'll get to write later. I'll write about those two later, and for now I'll just write about To Heart. As for To Heart itself, while I did said it was trendsetting, nowadays it would be criticize as cliche VN with bad graphic mainly because we already see the abundance of the VNs like To Heart once again and even the graphic there was losing to the sequel (To Heart 2) which is more famous and more iconic. But still, the influence was still there and I would say that if To Heart wasn't here maybe VNs nowadays would be different. PS - By the way I like that To Heart was full of famous seiyuu like Hisakawa Aya or Yui Horie, and there's also Kawasumi Ayako for people who like Saber.
  25. Well, 'sakura' was definitely quite generic title for VNs lol. Not to mention that there's some of VNs with Sakura in the title - one of those title was Koi ga Saku ga Sakura Doki. Anyway, if you mean 'sakura' is Sakura franchise from Winged Cloud, then yeah it's objectively quite bad just like Zakamutt said ie the writing was lacking compared to popular VNs. While for this VN (Sakura Sakura), I couldn't say much considering that I still didn't try this but looking from EGS of Sakura Sakura I would say that this VN did had some potential - the score was at 80 with more than 1,000 votes. I knew it didn't quite reliable, but at least it should be enough for consideration. In the end, it's not the word 'sakura' that made VNs worse but rather it's the VNs itself - although I won't deny that 'sakura' was became infamous though thanks to Winged Cloud
