So as if pidgeons at E3 weren't enough. We now have news that Paca Plus, the visual novel where your girlfriend is turned into an Alpaca, will be making its way onto Steam as well as Anime Expo 2014.

This is Sekai Project's announcement:

We are proud to announce that Sekai Project will be releasing PacoProject's "PacaPlus" on Steam! Fans of fluffy, fluffy alpacas are in for a real treat.

The story follows the life of a certain Kazuma Saeki who is living the life. Surrounded by friends, especially his cute girlfriend Yukari Izumi, his school days could not be any better. However, on a bus ride back from "Alpaca Kingdom" he wakes up from a nap and finds that it's not Yukari that's sitting next to him but an alpaca. An alpaca that talks exactly like Yukari in fact...

What will happen to Kazuma and his life with an alpaca? How exactly does an alpaca play the violin? What is the connection between "Alpaca Kingdom" and what happened to Yukari? Pick up the game and get to the bottom of this fluffy mystery!

Sekai Project will also be selling limited edition physical copies of Paca Plus at Anime Expo 2014 that come with limited edition merchandise

So yeah guys, we are making Alpacas popular on the west now too. Thoughts?

What I'm seriously concerned about is, if any of you watched batman's stream or played the vn itself you'd know, the english in this visual novel is mind blowingly horrible, so horrible even a dyslexic kid could probably do better.

I just seriously hope they fix that because putting a visual novel about alpacas on steam will already get bashing, if it goes there with butchered english I don't even want to think about it.

But regardless. Bring on the fluffyness!

And then they will say all ages titles don't sell well in a west.

Go! Go! Nippon! was the best visual novel ever to be made. How dare you.

Compared to this and pidgeons VN, Go! Go! Nippon! is a masterpiece. Go! Go! Nippon! was a decent short VN it had an ok heroines and unlike this at least it had some point and is pretty educational.

If this is what "popular in the west" means, I rather it staying as it is right now...
VNs will be treated as a joke if more of these gets localized. (And it doesn't help that there is a common consensus that VN's are just porn games.)

Behold the next generation!

Who cares about lolis or tsunderes? This is real charm we are talking about there.

Now is the time where we have to act. If we don't do something, the next generation of western Otaku

will be walking around in this..

Man I can already see the eyes of young Otaku's looking at us and our 2d girls in bewilderment
