Damn, my English must be worse than I thought since I actually preferred the fan translation to the localisation (based on the screenshot alone). I have to agree with this though. It has gotten to the point where I'd rather read something at a slow pace in Japanese than read an exsiting fan translation

Look under the "xp3tools Method" header. Seems to me that you're running the executable by double clicking on it. Again, it's a command line tool so you're going to have to run it via the command prompt. xp3tools should also come with a Readme, or at least some form of documentation, which should be helpful.

xp3tools is a command line tool. Look through the Data Extraction thread if you haven't already.

And of course Elias comes barging in with his shit taste

Huh, I didn't buy the books because people were saying that the translations were horrible. I remember reading a post that compared the fan translation to YenPress' release. I can't seem to find the particular post, but I do have a screenshot saved: I guess I shouldn't judge the entire translation just based on that alone, but YP messed up pretty bad there. If the rest of the novel isn't as butchered as that, I might pick it up and give it a shot when I drop by the bookstore to get the sweet Overlord hardcover release next week.

The fact that you're comparing it to KKK scares me a little Though I'm glad to hear that it isn't that difficult, I'm still worried that my complete lack of knowledge on Japanese history might hinder my enjoyment. I'll give it a shot anyway. This seems like it's going to be a long and bumpy ride, lol. -

I was pretty excited for this but didn't expect it to be a difficult read. Looks like I was mistaken -
any yoyo player / penspinner / any other kind of juggler here?
Tenkuru replied to gunter's topic in General Discussion
I used to dabble in penspinning a few years back when I was in secondary school, though I'm pretty rusty now. Pen modding was pretty fun, and modded pens can be sold for quite a sum (~$50). -
The trial was pretty damn amazing. Can't wait for the full release.

What do you think goes into making a good VN user-interface?
Tenkuru replied to Zodai's topic in Visual Novel Talk
A "skip to next choice" button would be great. Scene jumps/backlog jumps are essential, IMO. -
Ruri from Tenshin Ranman can be seen on the right side of the image @Eclipsed posted. Sana and Aoi (also from Tenshin Ranman) can also be scene in the background CG of the school hallway in Noble Works too.

Help! Sharin no Kuni Himawari no Shoujo error
Tenkuru replied to Rhymekun's topic in Voluntary Tech Support
Make sure that you have Japanese locale. Also check that you don't have the file attribute set to "read-only". -
Good luck and may the Tenko be with you [' . W . ']

I remembered taking the tour with Nyanko and it was great. Glad to see that you're bringing it back!

Although I have yet to watch Black Rock Shooter nor own any figurines, I've always wanted to own one of these Good Smile BRS figurines. http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/2872/Black+Rock+Shooter+animation+version.html http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/2362/BLACK+ROCK+SHOOTER.html

Bought it on release but only got to play it for ~2 hours since I'm really busy. Even though the characters and story seem to be really bland and uninteresting, it has really a satisfying gameplay. The bullet hell-esque boss battles along with the fast-paced and responsive combat made it a blast to play. Would definitely recommend this game.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who did that

Even after reading the review, I still probably won't read it because of the bad art. I'm way too spoiled
