This week on Thursday (April 8th) Musicus! the final game of the VN developer Overdrive is going to release. So I thought we could need a new thread with all information in one place.

The Steam version will be censored and the 18+ scenes removed. And there won't be any replacement scenes like there are sometimes with console All-Age releases. From what I heard it is going to be a fade to black with a sentence telling the player what happened.  But you can find a patch for the Steam version on the Mangagamer store page for Musicus.

 

And on the Mangagamer Blog we got the first character introduction for the main protagonist. There should be more of those posts hopefully before the release.

And for those that are looking for a walkthrough I have some general information from SSparks31 of the QA team for Musicus from the Discord. Although you could consider them a minor spoiler, so take a look at them on your own risk. The route structure doesn't seem to be too complicated so a blind playthrough shouldn't be a problem.

Personally I'd say the order you reach them, plus Mikazuki last
So Yako -> Meguru -> Sumi -> Mikazuki
(For the love of god don't do Sumi last)

For Yako you have to focus on school rather than the band
For Meguru you have to mostly agree with Meguru
For Mikazuki you have to mostly agree with Mikazuki
For Sumi you have to not do any of those

Comment: I consider these only a spoiler since Sumi is not listed on either VNDB or the official website, so could argue that her(?) route is a secret.

### For Choice 18, if you deviate from the guide consistently then you will get a third choice. There isn't any benefit to choosing it over entering the Sumi route intentionally.

PS - I know that some of you are excited for this thanks to the good reviews that it gather, but I would say that just keep the expectation on this in check so that you won't be disappointed if Musicus here didn't meet your expectation. Not that I would say that it's wrong to expect much from this anyway.

PPS - Here's Mangagamer's post in regard of Route D (Also known as bad end route), and beware that it has some spoiler to a degree. And just in case you wonder who is Sumi, she's the heroine of Route D so don't expect bright ending for her (Well it's called bad end route after all).

I've been excited for this due to liking the Overdrive band VNs and how surprisingly well received it is Japan. Hoping I like it as well.

For some reason the Steam version isn't available in Germany and as I don't have a credit card I can't get the game from Mangagamer itself either. So it seems like I'll have to put off reading it for the forseeable future...

Yeah Steam decided to tag the Steam version as Adult and with that it is out for german customers, even though the game is censored on Steam.

But there is the option to buy from Mangagamer without an creditcard. You can mail to support@mangagamer.com to ask for payment though PayPal. You just need a Mangagamer account and Paypal for this.

Things have been said here and there about translation quality and while I do agree that it's probably not the same experience as the JP readers got with the spectacular writing, the game's story by itself is more than worth the investment

There's nothing like that at all! Don't go assuming things just by taking an arbitrary look at the cover, and a brief synopsis! You talking out of your ass is going to put people off of an amazing visual novel that should be read.

You really shouldn't be thinking in terms like that to be honest, the VN isn't about romantic relationships, but rather about music itself. It's a fantastic read despite that, and even though I'm a major fan of the same stuff you're in, I was still really blown away by how good of a read this was!

There aren't any breakups, but it should be known that the routes in this game don't follow the traditional way of choosing a girl = relationship with them. Each route is about a different path he follows in his relationship with music, and those close to him that are just as affected by it.
