  1. Project Introduction Hello everyone. As you can see by looking to the side, my name is Lavinder. As head of the Saturday Crush Productions, I woud personally like to present our first project "Midsummer Daydream" Visual Novel information Midsummer Daydream is an Otome Eroge visual novel, which promises a refreshingly modern take on romance. The player will fill the shows of our heroine, Yumiko Shirayuki, a recent college graduate who's life is turned upside-down over the course of one eventful summer. Navigate Yumiko through the unique ups and downs that come with open relationships. Midsummer Daydream seeks to break the mold of romance storytelling with it's organic, character-driven conflict. I am very passionate about telling this story using the medium ov visual novels, and Im confident that you the plsyer will enjoy yourself from start to finish. About Us Saturday Crush is a team of like-minded visual novel fans. We were brought together by our shared experiences in developing our own visual novels, and the failiures we've experienced going it solo. It was this commonality that brought us together that brought us together. Together we will see eachother through to success where we once failed indevidually, and we are confident that Midsummer Daydream will be the first of many fine stories told by Saturday crish Our staff consists of: Myself: As the ambiguous leader, my primary responsibilities are that of resource management and allocation of talent. As well, I am one of Saturday Crush's two artists, and programmers. I will dealprimerily in character and CG assets, but offer a wellrounded skillset that fills any role nessecary. Bluebolt: Saturday Crush's second artist, lending his talents to set design. His unique pallets and lush enviormental designs will bring our world to life Snailmusk: Saturday Crush's primary writer. His unique litterary style will be breathing life into our characters and make you feel things you didnt know possible. Sagic: Saturday Crush's eccentric composer. A passionate musician who has been a godsend to us. I'm certain his soulful scores with really take us to the next level. Wolfscythe: Rounds out the team as our general affairs manager and head of project planning. Hes an everyman similar to me who can help out wherever needed, but primarily serves to keep everyone on task and on time. Always pays to have a strict one jn the group. Progress: Ideation: 90% - Midsummer Dayream is pretty much planned out from start to finish. All of our broad strokes are in place. FULL STEAM AHEAD!! Audio Assets: 40% - Sagic has been kicking ass on our soundtrack. It's amazing how much free time students have this time of year. Brings back fond memories Xp Visual Assets: 5% - Rough designs are finalized and in place. Work on animated sprites has begun. Script: 12% - Common Route and all special routes completely outlined. Well, what do you have to expect from this shitty fanfiction? Cringy english, poorly done fights, non-existant drama, shitty romance and a ton of stupid memes, i don't even know why am i doing this, but guess i have to do it. Typical japanese street, Akihabara, 26 Mars 2017 The sun was bright, too bright for my NEET eyes, the air is cold, too cold for my NEET skin and the streets are crowded, too crowded for my NEET mind...And here i am, in Akiba, the anime mecca, the holy land of the perverts, the sacred ground of the eroge and... ??? :Oi oi, gaijin-san, why the fuck are you standing like this? is that a gaijin tradition or what? I got suddenly interrupted by mister Takao. I know it sounds weird, but he's actually my japanese pen pal, i just recently got to meet him, and since i discovered he was also an otaku, it was even easier for me to talk to him, i mean, it's been only 3 days since i got my vacations for Japan, and i'm already hanging out with a bunch of japanese dudes. Gaijin-san : You can speak with yourself Mister Takao, it was just thinking about...stuff, stranger stuff as you may think, you know, i'm not really a NEET, i do have a job and all, but i prefer to drow myself into otaku stuff and all. And we continued, laughing and talking about stupid shit and anime...everywhere on screens, you could see the new Berserk anime made by Ufotable, new ads for some weird eroge as well as ads for creepy maid café...on the streets, you could see some Jietai patrols, equiped with modern, but they completely feel normal, compared to the HUGE amount of cosplayers roaming the streets, cosplay of every thing, from lusty maids to some crazy characters. In short, Akiba was a heaven for me...if only, it didn't happen, my biggest fear... Takao : Eh, why did the sky suddenly turn dark? Gaijin-san : what do you...what... In one instant, the whole scenery changed, the peaceful akiba turned into hell, as the sky darkened, multiple....things fell to the ground, struck to towers, buildings or even the streets, the debris fell over us, and...nearly killed us. Gaijin-san : guys! we must get the fuck out of here, run to the metro station! Now! But as i was yelling, one of the things well on our position, crushing the ribs of one of Takao's friend...it took us a whole minute to awake again...unfortunately, one of us didn't make it. Takao: Kuso kuso kuso! what do we do now?! what the hell is happening here! We didn't even have the time to think of something, a ship approached us...no doubt was possible. Gaijin-san : Aliens...FOLLOW ME! WE must get the fuck out of here! ..... Meanwhile. TV Journalist : as we speak now, the same scenes repeating everywhere, Paris, London, Tokyo, New York and many, many other big towns were assaulted in the same way, what was first mistaken as an meteor shower was, in fact, and trust me, this is not a joke, an Alien invasion, one of our journalist caugh the picture of one of these...things...before he got killed and.. the TV got interrupted and, a blurred face appeared...the counsilman, why am i not surprised. Counsilman : Hello comma...eh wait, you're not the Commander...thanks to you i look like a stupid guy, get me your commander, now. ???: We still have no information regarding the commander, sir, it's his holiday and. Counsilman : Wait, didn't he tell you? he's in Japan and...oh...ok, i'll tell them. Change of plan mysterious soldier, the UN has activated the FuwaCOM cell, unfortunately, your commander is missing. As the Counsilman continue to speak, another guy entered the room, it was C.O Bradley, he's in charge of the logistic and supplying the field units with intel and orders, his nickname was Texas Dice, a rather weird nickname in my opinion. Bradley : Oh sorry lieutenant Tsundere, didn't knew you were with the super secret counsil everyone on the base knows his existence. Counsilman : Mh...seriously, why such people are our only chance?...speak, mister Bradley, why are you even here. Bradley : We got a transmission from the commander...he's being under assault by the aliens, he's in Japan, i tried to pinpoint his position, he's near the Akihabara trainstation...why the fuck is he so fond of trains?..oh, and he asked Tsundere to lead the recovery team, so...good luck Lieutenant. Tsundere : You know, i have a name, my name is Christina, not Tsundere!...Oh sorry Counsilman, but we have to recover our commander, i think it's the right course of action, you agree? Counsilman : You could go fuck yourself, i don't care anymore...just go recover the Commander, i'll talk with him about the future operations, Dismiss! We had no time to lose, i ran as fast as i could to the armory, the mission was vital, if we dont recover our rightful leader, we'll lose the war...it's your fault, stupid otaku! As i arrived to the armory, only 3 soldiers were here: The first of them, a tall slavic guy, with long white hairs, a big scar on his left cheek, and an adidas-inspired strips on his armor, a sniper rifle -the PGM Hecate II, with the inscriptions "Vodka for life", his name : Corporal Vlad "Voko" Brejnev, a fine soldier from the czech army, even if he's...rather lunatic, and mostly speak with dank memes. The second soldier, a bit shorter, with a brown skin, black hairs and a juvenile, beardless face, his name : Ahmed "HuMaN" Iskander, a Palestinian soldier under the Jordanese army...with an israeli flag...yeh, the flag was my idea, i wanted to mess up with him, if you've seen his face, magad it was funny. And Finally, the last of them, a rather generic size(But a very big..."size" i can tell you), with anime-esque blue hairs, a rather generic brown skin, he is...oh, right, i remember now, Lance-Corporal Noel "Big Gun" Ferrara, a proud portuguese special forces member, bearing a big ass minigun ...i'll have to deal with that grotesque team. Oh, who am i? Lieutenant Christina "Tsundere" LaRoche, even if i'm not a tsundere. I used to work for GIGN, and got promoted to this...ultra secret anti-alien project, FuwaCOM, our objective is to assure planetary defence, we're the first...and the last line of survival, if we do not save our leader, the world is doomed, with that in mind, i had only one order to give them. -soldiers! we are humanity's last hope...let's save our Commander! And this is the story of how humanity's trash dealt with the biggest threat even faced by earth since Donald Trump's Election. END ....I'm sorry, sorry!

Is it Japan anime style or Western style? Which one do you like from the picture under this text? And which kind of story people will like the most? Does Romance visual novel is too mainstream? As she grows though, Abby shows a more confident side and learns to trust others again. Has a love for food, video games, and writing fantasy stories. Kei A friendly yet sometimes overbearing girl who takes an interest in Abby the moment they meet. Due to her upbeat and energetic personality, Kei is well liked by many at school. However her ways can at times be a bit much for others, with some even calling her annoying. She is always positive though, something which contrasts Abby. Kei is also a bit on the lazy side however and isn't the most dependable person in the world. Her care for Abby though isn't a big mystery, they were once friends. What is the mystery is why the friendship broke and how a part of Kei feels like Abby deserted. Her dream is to leave Belmont and see the cities, maybe making into in the music career if she's lucky enough. Her route's theme is Trust. Chris Good friend of Kei though many wonder how polar opposites could ever get along. Unlike Kei, Chris is cold, serious, and a go getter, always trying to reach for the top. She has this desperate urge to fit in and gain the respect of those around her. Her perfectionism though can at times make her want to do rather impossible things, like doing an entire float by herself. Despite her attitude she is very dependable and smart, making her liked by many of her teachers. Sadly her home life isn't much to talk about and she is the black sheep of the family. She longs to find a place where she can be happy. Her route's theme is Growth. Yoko Yoko- A half Japanese and half american student who has a deep love for money. Like Kei, Yoko is popular at school but more for her looks and intelligence. She can be a friendly person, but she is also very competitive and at times looks down on others. She tries her best to earn the respect of others by using her brains and skills with business. Like her dad Yoko has a love for money and is very good at handling it. She also has pride in her family background and will not stand for anyone who says otherwise. Sadly, despite how things may seem, she isn’t the happiest person as her parents put much strain on her life to shape her in their image. Though money seems to be her only love, Yoko is secretly taking up a new hobby that she hides from many. Her route's theme is Acceptance Emily An underclassman who is often in the shadows. Emily has little care for most and often spends her time with her head in a book. To her life is more of a hellish reality while the world in her books is the ideal thing. Emily is cold, quiet, and a bit too honest. She isn’t afraid to express her feelings and it’s her brutal honesty that has made her target number one for her classmates. Still she isn’t the snow queen that everyone believes since she actually has deep love for her grandmother who is one of the few who understand her. Despite being mature for her age Emily has abandonment issues and can get easily attached to a person she cares deeply for in fear that they will leave her. In truth though Emily use to be a very friendly and happy girl but that all changed when she received the huge burn mark on the right side of her eye. Still maybe with the right group of people she will understand the true meaning of friendship and trust others again. Her route's theme is Change. Mara Mara - Best friend of Yoko. Similar to Yoko, Mara is from a rich family, but she is a someone who will be friends with anyone no matter who or what their family backgrounds are. She is a friendly and in a way motherly person who will try her best to care for others who need it. Sadly her compassion can often be taken advantage of given how gullible and naive she can be, which is why Yoko often has to take care of her seemingly clueless friend. Still Mara may not be as naive as some think and actually might be able to read people much more easily, which can either be a good or bad thing. Mara’s passions lie in acting and she is becoming a very talented actor. However with playing so many roles, one has to question her true personality. Riko Abby’s older sister. Riko has taken in Abby in order to help her little sis recover from the past. Unlike Abby, Riko is a friendly, positive and a bit cunning. She loves her sister deeply though sometimes her forceful ways make it hard for Abby to deal with her. In terms of hobbies, she aspires to be a painter and hopes to start commissioning, but until then she has to do a part time job in order to pay for food and other things. Though close with Abby, she hides certain secrets from her sister that she fears may trigger her traumas again Example of a CG Gameplay Reach for the Stars is planned to be a rather long visual novel. The player will first play the common route which not only introduces the characters, but also shows how each character will become friends with each other thanks to the Full Moon Festival, an event which happens every year in Belmont. The player will be given many choices in the common route and depending on your choices you will get one of the routes. Like the common route you will be given many choices in that said girl's route which will determine what ending you get. Note however that not all the choices are clear cut, so it'll take some serious thinking on some. This game will have it's light hearted moments, but also dramatic one. As it says it is a romance story, but the romance will not just come. In each route Abby will grow even closer with the girl and once their darker truths are known, will help them come to terms with their problems and vice versa. The romance does play a major role, but some may not be happy all the time I plan to make this game at the least 150,000 words with the hopes that I can deliver a fun and yet realistic story.   10. VN Overview You may have heard the occasional theory of a potential catgirl 'dystopia' in a certain popular catgirl VN. (given that in a sense catgirls in that world could basically be seen as slaves). This visual novel will take that theory to a logical extreme in that sense. Catgirls will be used and abused negatively by humans and it will eventually turn into a rebellion/war started by those who want to fight for Catgirl rights. There will be a decent amount of realistic military action, the setting will take place in Japan (of course). At the moment, we're planning to have 3 routes. This VN at the moment is not going to have explicit H scenes. Current Project Team I'm currently the project manager of this whole VN We have the main writer who's written the major scenarios planned out, as well as a timeline (history wise) as well as a timeline that will be referred to for writing specific scenarios We have an editor who mostly reviews our scenario documents, records meetings when we have them and will likely be an editor of the VN when it's released We have a programmer who will be programming the VN through Renpy We have someone who will contribute to making music There are a few people who came up with the original idea of the VN and have helped make some character concepts. Current Progress At this point we have the major scenarios planned for this VN written out. We also have all the major characters' personalities and backstories written up in addition to a few secondary characters. We have Renpy set up and know some general ideas of how we're going to use it. Our next task, in addition to looking for art, is to start actually writing dialogue. Looking for Artist Right now, we're looking for an Artist. For the most part, we just want art that we think would be fitting for the setting and plot. That said, we're very open to artist interpretation and freedom. Thank you for your consideration in advance! Backstory Last year, I attempted to make a short visual novel titled 'Carpe Diem' which I released on Steam for free. It was a small solo project I did for fun. It was more of a 'i-made-something' project that time and I really wasn't expecting much, but it surprisingly did pretty well. Until now, it sits at 91% positive feedbacks out of about 4k reviews, which for me is a pretty big deal. Over the past few months, I've gotten a lot of requests to make more of it. Inspired by these, I decided to give VN development another shot, thus the project I am currently working on which is the sequel. Team Most of the negative reviews of Carpe Diem were about its assets (art, music, etc), which I admit are subpar since I'm not very good at making those. I want to overcome these shortcomings for the sequel, so I made a team and looked for people who can help me make a better product than the previous one. In the past Garey was a professor of a University, and in his spare time he created his own drug dealing net. Even though he hides himself behind words of virtue, he only cares of himself. Early concept: Spider Spider is the deputy of the White Lady, the second leader of the Order. He is smart, charming, able to find an approach to people. At the same time he is diagnosed with alexithymia (he can’t understand and almost doesn’t feel any emotions). If he had an idol – that would be Hannibal Lector. He is acquainted with Luca. Before joining the Order he had worked with Luca for two years. Early concept: Leland Leland is the third leader of the Order. He loves ballet and makes considerable donations for the needs of art, he also supplies arms. He was married five times but none of his wives could outlive the first year of marriage. Leland is sure that his ancestors were aristocrats. He collects porcelain dolls, five of them have faces of his deceased wives. Early concept: Astra Astra is the fourth leader of the Order. She dreams about taking the place of the White Lady. She has three children ( all girls, she adopted each of them). She favors the illegal organ trade. She was the one who caught Cloyd’s sister. Astra suffers from fits of melancholy. She doesn’t see the sense neither in her and nor in others’ lives. Only the fight for power helps her to distract herself from painful thoughts. Early concept: Abby Abby is Luca’s friend, who he has been raising since she was ten. She is a cheerful girl. She dreams of a new life for her and for Luca. She saves money for moving to a different country. Early concept: Nancy Nancy is a popular seamstress in the slums. It was precisely her who found Luca and raised him like her own son. Nancy is a rather rude and simple woman, she values her relatives more than anything. Over the past half year, we've been developing a new visual novel / SLG in Ren'Py. It's called Four Horsemen, and it's not like any other SLG you have played before. To fund development the rest of the way, we're launching a Kickstarter campaign very soon! PROJECT INTRODUCTION Four Horsemen is an upcoming visual novel / SLG about immigrant lived experiences, with a touch of magical realism. You play as a group of four immigrants in their mid-teens, the Riders, who discover a long-forgotten, empty World War II-era machinegun bunker on the edge of town. They turn it into a secret clubhouse where they can hang out and do teenagery things like drink booze and play video games without adult supervision, and in doing so, they inadvertently create a new community. What this community does, and what it is for, is up to you. You'll spend much of the game gathering resources and building things to put in the clubhouse, and your choices of what you have the kids do and make will set the kids' priorities and consequently drive the storyline. What's not up to you is the world outside the clubhouse, which will slowly encroach on your burgeoning community. It will force the kids to come to terms with the politics that brought them to their new homeland, and the legacy they have inherited from their parents' country, a land they barely know. Political realities will also impede your ability to interact with NPCs and gather resources. Unlike other SLGs, you can't just stat-grind, buy, and bribe your way to a Good End--institutional racism will harry your production, forcing you to think outside the box and negotiate, borrow, improvise, and steal what you need. (Non-spoiler: What you build doesn't matter nearly as much as how you build it.) The big twist is that virtually everything in the game--the nature of the tragedy that brought these children to foreign shores, what the kids' values are, what language they swear in, what arcs are and aren't available, what the price of a wooden table leg is--all these things are determined by which fictional country the kids are from, and which fictional country they live in. You get to pick which country the kids are from on your first playthrough. On every playthrough after that, the game picks for you. The result will be an SLG with unprecedented replayability. On your second play, you might notice that choices that helped you win the first time around are missing, or that NPCs respond differently to different dialogue options. Resources that were easy to get before might now be hard, characters who were crucial the first time around have been replaced with new, different characters (forcing you to play an entirely different arc), and so on. Like real immigrant teenagers, you will have to figure out each new culture on your own, and constantly make decisions about whether you want to conform to it or stick by your own principles and work against it. This forces you to use real social skills to guide your decisions, rather than just telling NPCs what they want to hear or what sounds like it would produce the best reward. CHARACTER ARCHETYPES Though you'll play as a different set of four characters each playthrough, they always conform to the same four archetypes, each one inspired by a different Horseman of the Apocalypse from Christian-Islamic eschatological tradition. This reflects the uncanny feeling, common among travelers and schoolteachers, of meeting the same people over and over, with small but significant variations--amplified by the cultural forces of globalization, which draw teenagers of particular temperaments to the same clothes, music, and hobbies all over the world. The protagonists of Four Horsemen are not literal personifications of their religious namesakes, but as war, death, famine, and pestilence are intimately tied to the human experience of immigration, the central conflict of each character is defined by one of these concepts in a way that is meant to resonate with the experiences of people who have experienced them in reality. WAR The leader of the Riders and the only first-generation immigrant of the group, War's haunted eyes and tough demeanor belie the playfulness of a girl who struggles to balance between growing up too soon and catching up too late on her lost childhood. Her future taken from her at an early age, War lives in the moment, burying a deep, implacable sadness in sports and drinking and video games. Her considerable leadership skills, overdeveloped sense of responsibility, and deep fascination with ancient history are overlooked by her teachers at school, who write her off as a ditzy tomboy partybro. Though quick to anger, and extremely protective of her younger sister Death, she is surprisingly slow to violence, due to her early experiences with bloodshed. When she does pick fights, though, watch out! Mercy is not a concept she understands. Because she's the only Rider who remembers the old country, the other Riders see her as a sort of wise-woman figure, a role for which she is woefully unprepared. She spends a lot of time worrying about who she really is. War's storylines deal with themes of personal identity, security, armed conflict, heritage, and nation-building. DEATH A free spirit and incorrigible smartass who talks the same way IRL as she does on the Internet, Death couldn't care less about politics or identity. Death lives for one thing and one thing only: to make something even cooler than the last thing she made. She has a gift for electrical engineering, but talent doesn't necessarily equal competence--at her early age, she's still kind of figuring out how everything works, and sometimes everything, well, doesn't. Everyone but her thinks her talent is going to make her rich and famous someday, a perception against which she constantly struggles. A few early, horrifying years in a refugee camp made her keenly aware that she's never going to have the same opportunities as other kids her age, and she often has to balance her pathological fear of missing out with her obsession with catching up. These experiences, and the toxicity of online communities, bestow on her both an acerbic wit and an unbearable loneliness. Death's storylines deal with themes of lived experience, erasure, self-determination, industry, and the meaning of labor. FAMINE A wide-eyed, impressionable, easily impressed little dude, Famine has it pretty good compared to War and Death--he's a naturalized citizen who grew up in his new country, speaks with the local accent, and could almost pass for a native if given the chance. But this "almost" is what torments him: he's the only child of a single dad, he's an unremarkable student, he's just a little too awkward to be well liked at school, and there's always just barely not enough money to get by without cutting corners. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Famine doesn't believe the deck is stacked against him. A better world is always within reach! He believes that with a little gumption and a lot of hard work, anything is possible! ("Anything" includes winning the affections of Death, who he has a massive crush on, and who, of course, will not give him the time of day.) Famine wears a French maid costume when he dusts the clubhouse because it is a practical outfit for dusting. Shut up. You would too, if he wasn't the only one who ever bothered to dust this fucking sty. You slacker. He is best bros with Pestilence and looks up to him immensely, which is a little mysterious since Pestilence has no ambition. They like weed. Famine's storylines deal with themes of opportunity, entrepreneurship, gender roles, equality, respectability, and institutional privilege. PESTILENCE Pestilence is an enigma wrapped in a shroud of pot smoke. The son of two unremarkable, well-off parents from the old country, Pestilence has spent his entire life in his new homeland, and is widely reviled. His family was part of the community that welcomed War and Death out of a refugee camp in their early childhood, and the sisters consider him a family friend. Everyone else, except for Famine, seems to distrust him--his teachers insist he's trouble, though he rarely makes any; the police hassle him at every opportunity; taxi drivers and social workers are struck by a sudden and terrible deja vu. Pestilence is accustomed to this reaction and takes it in stride. He is very friendly and sees himself as a sort of Mister Rogers figure, preaching simple, occasionally grim aphorisms from doctor's office brochures. Naturally, Famine thinks he's the chillest person ever, and they are best bros. Though he generally comes off as a carefree gentle giant, Pestilence has strong convictions and will passively resist anyone who stands against them. It is rumored that when the immigration bureau sent his parents the eighth late notice for his resident alien registration, Pestilence mailed them a drawing of a smiling cockroach flying a UFO. Pestilence's storylines deal with themes of religion, conquest, demography, social justice, and the spread of ideas. Okay, prescribed drugs from doctors that are necessary are fine. S T O R Y Utopia has long since ended. Confined in walls that have yet to be broken through, people join factions trying to survive another day in a decaying city with limited resources. There is hardly a day of silence, a day where a cry rings out through the streets in the middle of the night. There is a constant fight for power, for influence, for authority. The one in control changes every other month, the rules changing even more so frequently. This is the story of one particular moment in the carnage. Of when a drug known as Treats started to circulate through the system. Of when questions were no longer whispered and instead roared at the front lines. Where one girl who was born and raised in this society learned to aim for the throat when you wanted - needed - something. Follow Meri as she casts away the little that remained of her, stumbling across the truth as she pursues for revenge. The Jungle A large and sprawling metropolitan city that remains held up with a thin thread, seemingly ready to crumble at any given moment. This fragile place is where the populace reside for the eternity of their lives. The city has a turbulent structure of varying societies, groups and gangs that wish to hold more power than the other. This division causes districts to be made, though they are constantly swapping ownership as the feud continues among those of relatively equal standing with no clear winner. A large wall, without a single entrance or exit in sight, cages the city. Very few remember the official name of old for what this crumbling city used to be. Among the folk tales and mysteries of what this now rubble filled city used to be, the name, history, and events that unfolded to cause this current state only remain speculated. The Wall No one has been able to come or go ever since they could remember, the wall that towers high and encompassing the entirety of the city preventing such things. Attempts to traverse the wall has been made, though incredibly unsuccessful with rather strange and gruesome results. The peculiar circumstances and the blood stains hidden among the graffiti on the wall remains a foreboding reminder that there is something very wrong, and a kind of warning against those that hold suicidal pursuits. Treats The exact source of this increasingly popular drug remains unknown. Some have speculated it originated in the humble abode of a stumbling druggie who decided to mix and match for the next best high, others believe that it was the results of a laboratory of some scientific mad man, while there are a few hushed whispers that the remains of the government are to blame - seeking the power they once had. It seems that conspiracy theories weren't one of the things lost after the breaking up of the society from before most could recall. Not all of the effects of this mystery drug is yet known as it is still quite new. Effects seem to vary among consumers, though heightened senses, thought processing and strength seems to be a common symptom. Questioning consumers result in varying reactions - some proclaiming it to have changed their lives, saying that every other drug is put to shame by it, while others vehemently believed it to be the tool of the devils. A drug shrouded in mystery, yet so fervently produced, trafficked and consumed. It's sudden popularity caused a major shift of power within the rather chaotic and ever changing hierarchy, causing the downfall of some while allowing others influence that they could only ever imagine. F A C T I O N S The Royals Debatably the oldest society with a long history dating back before the fall of the society of the old. However, these records remain a secret and guarded like a jealous mistress as anyone outside the higher ranked remain ignorant of the apparently prestigious background. Though their numbers had consistently remained minimal as members were restricted to those of the same blood, they managed to hold power with their horded knowledge and their rather smart distribution of said knowledge. However, their small district had since been consumed by the growing gang known as the Red Caps, the members scattered and mostly believed imprisoned or dead. The Code Blues This neutral party remains a pacifist group. Neither are they particularly wealthy, nor do they have access to military resources. However, they remain through the support of many other groups and anyone that dare cause trouble with them would instigate a war among the other groups. Holding some of the brightest doctors and greatest knowledge when it comes to keep someone with multiple gun shot wounds alive, they remain a vital part to keeping everyone from permanently killing each other by providing aid between each battle. The Trade A merchant group that has an extended range of dealings, though they are most known and requested for their arms trade. With particularly sharp wit and high levels of intrigue, they manage to remain an influential power through back handed dealings and selectively partnering with other groups to warn or outright wipe out any potential threats. The Shroud Not much is known about the shroud. There are plenty of whispers and rumours that surround them. About how they seem to appear from no where, seeping in among the left remnants of a since over conflict. How they collect the bodies, leaving not even a whisper of what used to be life behind. How they evolved into an urban legend as the grim reapers as nothing ever remained, not even those that were known to be simply heavily injured instead of dead. Yet, somehow, these resources never seem to appear again, even within the many branches of the black market. The Red Caps One of the younger, but more powerful group. Rising in the scene with a questionably large stock of Treats, they had managed to gain exponential support and influence. Not much is entirely known of their policies due to the lack of any defined leadership. However, their ruthless dash and climb in power has given them a worrying reputation of doing anything for their goals, whatever they may be. Their district as of recent years haven't had particularly defined borders. Ever since the Red Caps had monopolized the market of Treats, their pursuit for expanding the areas under their control has increased several worrying folds. Though there is not a moment of peace or quiet within the streets of this district, the main building which acts a sort of headquarters for the higher in hierarchy. But none of that cocaine, ice, cool kid stuff plz. C H A R A C T E R S Meri Lambert | Royals Faction She believed herself invincible. She trusted her faction's invincibility. She thought herself to be more than she was. She was simply a naive child who had yet faced the sirens of reality. She learned that the world's tough love really was the fastest way to learn. She threw away what she once was for something she may never have or become. Cimon | Factionless He was there for you after the downfall of your family. He was the one that taught you how to survive without the faction's protection. He was the one to teach you about the various other districts. He was the one you had underestimated. Cimon is a seemingly happy-go-lucky and free spirited individual. Easy to hand out smiles, you question how he is able to trust others to easily and yet remain relatively well off. He just kind of seems rather naive and idealistic. However, he proves to be resourceful and hold a high level of awareness of the circumstances around him. With a understanding of the various different factions and their movements, you can't help but wonder why no one had already nabbed the guy. He would have been such a useful member after all. It really did seem rather strange. Gil | Trade Faction He lectures about peace as he gives warmongers bombs. He moarns the fallen as he accepts money from a murderer. He confesses his regrets and apologizes as he fires the gun in his hand. He signs the contract ensuring the death of many. He gives aide and resources to the neutral, saving their lives. He hates those he love, he loves those he hate. He's a hypocrite and he knows it. You haven't quite managed to grasp his personality. Through the layers of facades, the faces of professionalism and compassion, the acts of horror and delight - you just can't quite say definitely what type of person he is. An image of an upright man who's only wrongs are due to circumstance and an unfair world, you know it is simply a mask and in a way you wish to never have to see what is hidden beneath that rather careful construct. Aric | Royals Faction What's the blood that flows through their veins to the shared red dyed stains? What's a friend in a world of lies? What's a promise against the memories? What's an apology shackled with regret? What's a boy with questions that he doesn't wish an answer for? What waits past the end? Aric was someone you would tentatively call a friend. With the trials of time you've grown distant. The connection never truly lost, but there's just something no longer there. A closeness that you remembered from back when you were kids, desperately faking a childhood that they could never have. Following the faction's fall, you find yourself wondering where he is and questioning the rather peculiar circumstances around him. After all, only those that shared the same blood were meant to be allowed in the Royals, yet you are absolutely certain he fails to meet that very simple criteria. Jackie | Red Caps Faction He's felt the sweet caresses of joy, pure bliss with the feeling as if he could take on anything in the world. He's felt the tightening choke of sorrows, whispering lies that became his one and only truth. He's endured the shakes of rage, the physical pain he felt as he had to restrain himself. He knew far to well the damages fueled by humans fickleness. You struggle to describe him. He's just so- invisible, for the lack of a better word. In a way, it's actually a little disturbing. You don't know where he's from, what motives drive him, what actions he plans to take next. You notice how he seems to be able to simply disappear within a crowd or even in a desolate area without a single soul. However, one thing is for certain, you know that won't last long. The unsettling feeling that blankets you, a foreboding calm before a storm, that tilt of a smirk when he's lost in thought. Ihsan | Code Blue Faction He holds the needle like a knife, an apathy for each injection like a serial murderer who's grown bored. He binds the bandages like a noose slowly coiling around his own neck, suffocating him as the begs for a savior drown him. He's neutral, he doesn't take sides. He's long forgotten to care. A cloud of fatigue follows him, his actions sluggish and tired. The bags under his eyes don't go unnoticed, and his rather short and and general lack of enthusiasm reminds you of a corpse walking. However, you recall the stories of the heroes from the Code Blue faction. Their pursuit for pacifism, their incessant need to save lives. No one would join such a faction without having cared before. Right? Zeph | ??? Faction He hugs the gun like a child hugs their toys after a nightmare. He lies curled in the ash and rubble as if they were a safety blanket that would protect him from everything. He treats the serenades of gunfire like a lullaby, welcoming a dream that is soon to come. A dream he had long held, a dream that he had been pushed to his knees for. A large grin on a face splattered with blood. The gunshots that surround him, the blood that paves the streaks of death around him. You question the cheerful joking nature of his as whatever conversation you have with him seem to hold no direction, and yet you know he is far from lost as he avoids any talk about factions, Treats, the wall, and the coming future that lays ahead. "Hey, do you know why the sky changes colour? I've always thought it strange. You know, how such a big and encompassing thing could be so fickle. Yet, all our blood remains red no matter how far from human we get. Hey-- I wonder what colour the sky is outside the jungle." No matter the circumstances, illicit drugs would probs make it much shittier.
