If you have free time to read VNs you have time to learn Japanese
plus a single VN probably takes longer than learning kana

This argument goes completely out the window once you actually think about it.
1. If you would truly love to learn Japanese, you could find even half an hour during your day to dedicate to studying. Even if your study periods are in small, allocated amounts of time, you will progress over time.
2. I know quite a few people who've been in your situation and have managed to learn Japanese nonetheless. It honestly just sounds like you're not motivated enough. 

Do people on here get a kick out of telling people to learn Japanese? Like, I would love to learn Japanese, but having to study for college, working on days I don't have class, and then hanging out with friends when I get the time, only leaves very little time to even read VNs, let alone dedicate myself to learning hiragana, kanji, and katakana along with learning the grammar rules for spoken japanese. Not everybody can really dedicate the time to learn a new language. I mean, complaining about him complaining doesn't do much for anyone, including yourself. 
 
Back to the original post, yeah a lot of things are in the works currently, I'm sure if you reread the current translation list, you'll find something being translated that you'll like.

You know what I did when I got tired of how mediocre the English scene was getting? I started learning Japanese in order to avoid it. You can too instead of complaining about it on here.

I would rather buy it like this then have it "americanized", at least that's my two cents.

You highligted wrong part "All-ages" isn't end of the world, if done skillfully, but when translation is horrible, even h-scenes won't save it Or does it have so high amount of H that there's almost nothing left without it?

I'd be pretty careful about saying that. Normally I'd take it as a joke, but the fact that people are making full-fledged, genuine death threats towards localisers lately is... sad, to say the least. Not to mention a constant barrage of personal insults, among other things. I'm all for reasoned criticism, but whew lad
The translator has responded to criticism on Twitter, and it's pretty fair tbh. They talked about why they made the decisions they made, among other things. The majority of the game appears to be well-translated beyond the localisation decisions which are naturally subjective. These people are human beings doing their best to faithfully represent the text. They are not secretly plotting with localisation companies to cuck every last visual novel fan that gets off to seeing 'onii-chan' atleast it's relatively unlikely
Besides, 'dude' is hilarious. It spawned memes, it's great, and in context it even makes some sense.
A noble soul out there is working to produce a patch so that everyone can be happy. Bless them. Bless everyone. Be peaceful, be calm. Love each other. We're all humans.

The translation is pretty good. All those criticisms regarding localization are some galaxy brain thinking bullshit. I welcome the "dude" change because it makes the game memorable, and it's fun.

It's that time of the year again. Time to reflect on everything you made of good and bad in the year. But who cares about getting chained down by your past forever huh? So let's skip that part and look forward to the future! To what we can (and can't do) to make Fuwanovel great... again? Did we ever were great? Debatable.
So anyways, let's all collect suggestions of changes we want to see here in the coming year. If you're feeling a bit uninspired, I suggest to vote for one of the wonderful suggestions I make below. Because I thought long and hard (aka 3 minutes, rough estimation) in the well being of our beloved dysfunctional community.
Create a pinned "Translation Salt" thread under Visual Novel Talk, because lately every single release gets this; Rename Walkthrough section to "SeniorBlitz's Secret Dungeon"; Rename Translation Projects to "Fan Translations Burial Ground" because lately they're mostly dropped anyway; Create a board "Introduce Yourself and Never Speak Again" under Introduce Yourself because yep; Rename Community Coordination and Feedback to "Tay and Co. Burial Ground" (I'm sorry Tay, we love you); Create a pinned "Looking for Hentai Animation or Visual Novel (Powered by Monta93TM)" thread under Anime/Manga Recommendation; Rename Leaderboard to...... anything tbh no one will notice kek kthxbye

Oh yeah, how rude of me to imply that Translation Projects are dead when we have this one (+Virgin's one)
Therefore, I take my previous statement back and suggest instead to rename the said board to "Trans! Translation Transcendencies" because all other projects are irrelevant.
