Paper Mario the thousand year door: It's my favorite game of all time and I doubt that will ever change. I can't count how many times I found myself replaying it and it never felt boring oe repetitive.

Dark Souls: The perfect example of well executed world design, extremely deep lore and fantastic difficulty throughout the whole game, never being unfair, just you being bad.

The Neptunia games (the 4 main games): They sucked out almost over 600 hours of my life. I seriously enjoyed the games (and not just for the cute girls)

EDIT: Forgot to mention the touhou series. Came for the girls. Stayed for the music, lore and gameplay.

To me, some of the best games that are must-plays are platformers, like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy (masterpieces among Mario games), Sonic Adventure 2 (regarded really faithfully despite its flaws), the Donkey Kong Country series (old or new, they're both fun and creative), Kirby's Return to Dreamland (the best Kirby entry to date), Banjo-Kazooie (the classics), RosenkreuzStilette (a faithful shout-out to both Mega Man and Castlevania), and Cave Story (the granddaddy of indie games).
And also SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom because it's a good underrated gem of a platformer, but I'm embarrassed to suggest this because it's SpongeBob.
For RPGs, the Tales series is worth trying too, especially Symphonia, Abyss, and Vesperia, which are considered the best in the series. Xenoblade Chronicles is a masterpiece that should never be left out because of how awesome it is. And while this may be controversial to some, I still recommend giving the Neptunia series a try because of its characters and plenty of shout outs to gaming and pop culture.
And while this may turn some people off because of the sheer difficulty, the Touhou games are worth trying out too.

I honestly think that you're just trying to bait Rewrite's fanbase but alright, I'll bite. Yes, Rewrite does have a lot of glaring issues but to me at least it still manages to be pretty damn close to masterpiece status despite that which is a feat that very few VNs or even anything in any medium can pull off. The Common Route has a lot of charm which yes, some of the heroine routes and even the true route are lacking but they make up for it in different ways, with the action scenes and the development of the world's lore. Also, despite having romance routes it is at it's core in no way romance focused, which I admit I found to be one of its faults but that's because I love a good romance story, preferrably with a happy ending, so that's my own personal bias, yet I fully enjoyed it despite that.
P.S. Lucia's route was actually one of my least favorites despite her being one of my favorite heroines. Ryukishi's writing style doesn't belong in a Key VN, it was very much out of place and at times even a bit jarring. Also, I don't think that anyone calls it Key's finest work. That would be Clannad, which I actually don't agree with. I find their best work to be Little Busters but that's a discussion for another time.

As for albums, I can recommend "Ultra Beatdown" and "Sonic Firestorm"
As for individual songs, I can recommend you to give a listen to "Defenders", "Symphony of the Night" and "Seaons". Beware though, Defenders, Symphony of the Night and Seasons have a new singer, but I actually like his voice a lot. But I can understand why people say that ZP Theart (the old singer) was better

I am living in Munich since july and i'm loving, compared to the last place where i lived (São Paulo - Brazil) it's way more clean, cold and cheaper.I already visited the city hot spots and principally, it's very good to see Bayern games live.
Having to learn a language every 2/3 years is quite tiring, but it's a cool story to tell.
In the visual novel of my life it's very hard to enter in a heroine route knowing that tomorrow you could live in the other side of the globe

Hey everyone, nice to meet you all.
I've been looking around here recently now and then. Though I'm pretty shy when it comes to introducing myself, I thought I might as well do it since it can't hurt right? So as you can already see, my name is Shurui, I am 18 Years old and I live in Germany. About 3 years ago I started watching Anime and though I watched some really crappy shit, after watching some that are considered "mainstream" or "best of the best" like Death Note, Code Geass, Clannad, Fate/Zero (you get the idea) I started to appreciate the medium pretty much as they were something that I've never seen in any other movie or show before. Then about 6 months ago, a friend of mine told me about these so called "Visual Novels" and I had no idea what that thing was. After searching around for the tag on steam, I found a rather interesting one called "Sound of Drop". Since it was a horror novel it got me interested so I read through it. After I got through it I wanted more of them as it was something completely new to me. So I asked my friend for his Top 5 Novels and he told me of some of the best ones like "Little Busters!", "Umineko", "Rewrite" and so on. I wanted more so I read through them and found myself in awe at how someone was even able to write these things. (I feel like I'm telling completely unnecessary things here, so sorry for that xD)
Anyway, you get the point, I love Visual Novels by now. Though I have read some of the most highly acclaimed ones like G-Senjou, Umineko, Rewrite and Little Busters my "to-do list" is not even finished, theres way more to go like Steins;Gate (currently reading), Grisaia, Muv-Luv and many others.
So with that being said, I'm looking forward to being here and wish you all of you a happy day.

PS: You could guess by my profile picture who my favorite character is
PPS: I'm sorry if I made a few grammar mistakes here and there as my english is not perfect since I'm german

    Welcome~
Akane is great. She's my second favorite character from Rewrite (following closely behind Lucia). Also, your english is actually really good. I didn't see any errors and I wouldn't have known that it was a second language had you not said so. If you want any recommendations, feel free to ask~

Welcome, and as far as Germany concerned here, our admin Nayleen was also Germany here. For your avatar, I would guess Senri Akane from Rewrite. I'm sure that you'll get more VN recommendation here, and if you need it just ask us here. And since you like Fate Zero, I would like to recommend the sequel Fate Stay Night (Although you may already knew though). Hope you had fun and enjoy yourself here.
PS - Seeing that you also watching euphoria OVA, may as well recommend the VN version of it (According to some people, the VN was better than the OVA here).

Also your english is fine, if you hadn't mentioned it wasn't your primary language I wouldn't have known.  Most native english speakers have trouble with grammar anyway!
