This is by far the worst post in the entire thread ... and that's saying something because this whole thread is pure cancer.

Supply and demand.  People are willing to work for free, and Valve simply leverages that (with the very important caveat that they have little control over the final product).  I don't see anything wrong with Valve taking advantage of it, and it appears that there's also a program where teams are paid for their work (to retake that all-important control).
Now you see why some argue that fan translation by its very nature subverts the English VN industry and those who work for it.  Fan translation is the Chinese sweatshop of translation, driving down salaries for professional translators.

What is done so far: well, I "adapted" game for unicode, so no need to change your locale anymore. Then, I changed the output from that vertical to normal horizontal (you can see in the image below), also translated top menu and MOST of it ALL, lo and behold - PROLOGUE (1st part of it) in GLORIOUS GOOGLE TRANSLATE!!! Obv I can do more, fix imperfections like word wrapping, change border, other stuff, but... no reason for that right now
 
How to use - just download patch and put in the installation directory, where you have wa.exe, this will do the trick!

I mean not gory, but the non-reasonable events. Whole second part of KnS1 is the tapestry of one ridiculous murder of school girls after another. And no one sees anyone - that's just great. In KnS2 most of people are from same village, so why not. Also in KnS1 is same - everyone related to everyone in same soap opera manner, so I assume it is trademark of the series - bollywood madness

Extract into YUNO directory and run or yuno_eng_patch.bat (if you want to patch english version, most likely that's what you need), or yuno_jap_patch.bat (if you want to patch japanese version) and push "Apply" in the popup window.

Why no one loves Evolimit? Sakura no Uta just had lot of hype by me. But by me Clannad and most stories from Key are overrated as well, so... Anyway, vote for Evolimit. Much better choice than that Kururu imo.

I would give it a 7. Because it is really TOO repetitive and TOO long. And repetitive. It have same flaw as most of high-rated novels like Fate, Tsukihime - they have too much scenes which are not significant to the plot or characters in any form. Like these infinite cooking works, like these useless events in Ever17 and almost word-by-word repeats of the same scene, but it is a NEW text, because one word is different. That's pathetic, really. And Uchikoshi learned something from Ever17, as 999 does not have any of these flaws. VLR have, but in much less amount and they are more enjoyable.
So actually all you give is the score for the true route. And you forget all these infinite hours of reading through feeble writing with useless scenes, yawning and thinking "when this all will end?? when the story would finally move on??", but no, you read again how in 5th time about Takeshi preparing more hamburghers, someone goes finding other people, finding people, coming back and stuff. And repeat. You told it is good? No, it is not. But the plot twists are sometimes amazing, so this VN deserves a good score, but not very good one.

Also they registered both titles, so second one would follow as well. So wait a bit and you would be able to align PC translation to PSP

Why would Mangagamer sell a game, which is licensed by Sekai? What's the point in licensing, if you will pass a game to another company?

Why that Kylo Ren had the mask, anyway? I did not get it. Also his nose... And rabbit ears... Who had such a nose and ear? Han or Leia? Seems no one had.
And yes, story is too much similar to Episode IV. It was in 1977 and was better.
The worst is the actors here. The only one main character who really acted was guess who? Harrison Ford. What the hell, man. Why grand-dad have to bring whole film on his shoulders, what the rest of the cast were doing? Rei is the new Luke? Really? With same dumbface she had whole film. Same for that stormtrooper. Only other guy I enjoyed watching was the Death Star commander or whoever he was, that stubborn red-haired guy. This one could act, especially comparing to that emokid Vader replacement.

If you read first one - THAT one is what you call "coincidence train". Killer always take the girls right from the dinner table, even when he knows the detective is there and no one could find him (obv, it is so hard to understand, I get who is the killer first time he appeared), while killer himself take girls just by mere coincidence (of course). And we would not forget the shit which hitted the fan in the last part of the game - everyone is connected to everyone, absence of blood (wtf, Bombay blood type??? 0,0004 % of WHOLE WORLD popularity have this type! coincidence? in post-war small Japan?? yeah, very believeable. also what about truck? and insanity of everyone (actually, all the cast have mental illness in one or another form, that's just plainly idiotic)).
So, really. KnS2 is a huge step forward, if you compare it with first. Author started to develop less ridiculous scenes and more believeable detective story.

Never read eden*, was a complete waste of time. Imbecile protag, no story at all, only FEEELIIINGS.70% of time story does not move forward at all, repetitive and boring. So boring that main game have no interest at all, only thing which piqued my interest was a recap of old event..
Better read 999 - not dumb protag, huge mystery, lot of people die. Quite witty. There is a demo available - http://www.aksysgames.com/999/pages/demo but I mean IOS version if you have some iDevice - no puzzles, but all the story is there.

I visited Oslo, Ålesund, Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger - no bears  Disappointed so much. You should put them on streets, really. People need it. I heard in Canada (in Churchill) residents never lock car doors, so pedestrian could hide in nearby car when the bear comes near... 

Brains. Immediately attracts me, if the girl is logical and thoughtful, but in a believeable way. And NO GLASSES (not my fetish at all) or inhuman hair colors or oversized breasts.

Oh, please, do not start this again! Already discussed that in G-Senjou thread. Sekai did NOTHING. All did AB2 and pondr with the_noob_avenger. This is perfect example how to make money without laying a finger (I am exaggerate, obv, but you got the idea - amount of involvement is nowhere near what does MG and Jast for their localizations). They would KS all other projects, as why not? This gives lot of free money, so why not? While MG struggles to get the things profitable with their 18+ Kara no Shoujo 2 releases - Sekai blatantly cut the game and push it on Steam - eat what you got served and praise Dovac the poor, who is living on the edge, struggling for every penny each day to deliver you VNs... Bueh. You sponsor the company, who does not care about authenticity, about giving uncut uncensored versions (which I always want to get when get VN release in the west), to give you full experience and even more.

Read more. There would be evident, who is extra victim he was refererring (actually it was quite evident by me from the start). 
Actually (as I told somewhere) with Yukiko there is a flag, how much time you meet her. And if there is less than 3 - you would get a Holy prophet ending. Walkthrough covers all these matters, so if you follow it - you would never stuck.
There are flags, which depend on meeting with some people, whom you could only meet when you go into certain location. Most notable is Yukiko.

Tried out http://capture2text.sourceforge.net/ it's a OCR software. It works but mainly just on roughly 1 - 5 kanji in one go. So a lot of tedious work to do. Sometimes it really doesn't want to work. So the usual OCR there..
Worked out the first 3 lines of txt...

There is no such thing in trial. It would not let you to use "Exit" unless you did all. You just cannot fail in Trial, no matter what you choose in Deduction or Investigation or any other  That's why there is no solution.
