428, absolutely. Also having in mind usual Chunsoft problem with 3D, this is the best possible VN out of these. And it have a special scenario, written by Nasu, probably another good point for Type-Moon fans.
Kamaitachi they would most likely use the iOS remake, with same localization problems, so no point in it.

@sanahtlig only specific audience would be interested in an article with title "Reverse engineering visual novels: the basics", so I do not quite understand why he should outline or convince anyone, when all is told in the title. I doubt anyone would even read it, if he is not interested in reverse engineering.

Believe me then, he keeps it. He have original script in plaintext, as least for Cartagra, Kara no Shoujo 2, Free Friends 1-2, and Really Really.
Anyway you can see it yourself, I have a tool to extract data from containers. Unity could be decompiled with any Unity decompiler of your choice (like dotPeek or ILSpy), so no problem to see, what happens there, if you're interested.

@mnakamura only VN which do not work with tablet is Steins Gate (english release). All other VNs work (i tested about 35 games, 1996-2016). On-screen keyboard works in full-screen without any problem, you just need compact layout. Or use something better with customizable layout, like http://www.comfort-software.com/on-screen-keyboard.html I completed Divi-Dead and YUNO in fullscreen on Windows 10 on tablet, it works without any problems (YUNO had to be patched with my patch first, though).
Regarding mouse pointer, you can just install this free software http://www.lovesummertrue.com/touchmousepointer/en-us/ and it will give you mouse pointer, also works in fullscreen, using whole screen as a touch pad, very convenient.
Regarding modern games... I have a very cheap (about 150$ W10 tablet) and I still did not encountered any VN which refuses to work on it or is unbearable slow.
So far the only VN which I was not able to make working on my tablet is that damn Steins Gate. It requires the real mouse to be connected (so it will create a device inside), and without it mouse just considered as non-existing. And I never found any emulation software, which adds a virtual mouse device, to fool the game.

Yes, indeed, so I hope no more ZE will happen. Uchi should do something else, really.

IIRC I told something about same level of frustration  Yes, probably Uchi aimed for 4th game or he just tired.
All reveals in this game was really meh.

Some videos of initial gameplay, it seems. While first real problem start after 20 hours of gameplay... I wasted 2 hours figuring out why game does not go forward - and the problem was that I did not cleared one of the variations in first Execution sequence...  Really dumb structure, when on map all is ok, no way to go - but still there is some hidden variation, indicated as icon in left top corner of the map... And I almost never used global map and never saw them... Annoyed me so much...

I am playing it for 3DS, same way I played VLR. Chunsoft was not cared about 3DS in the slightest, as there is even no stereoscopic 3D, that was completely worthless to buy it, unless for completion sake to have all versions. Most of time bottom screen is pure black, so even that I thought that VLR was sloppy work, ZTD exceeded all expectations of "sloppy".
Full motion approach was quite bad decision, actually, even without speaking about horrendous quality of these cell-shaded animations, my main complain is that I have to wait for actors to voice their line, without any way to skip it forward... Drives me mad, I would be able to read all that for 10 hours, instead had to waste almost 20...
So far only bright side was puzzles, as they are easier to solve than some inhuman ones in VLR, which I spent half a day to solve. Here is max you will spend is about 15-20 minutes (at least in my case), which is good balance. Story I do not like so far. Lets see the ending...

Does not look right  Seems still quite a lot of work there, if you really want to implement it, to figure out what everything does. Sound files are in IMA ADPCM format I suppose (as this is the codec which game uses to play sounds), so I think you just need to decrypt them.
I just wrote a simple script to extract the script. I was reading Divi-Dead last year (as forget almost completely all about it, last time I played was 15 years ago) and was very disappointed with absence of back log... So I digged out a bit and that's result.

I can, but it do not have much meaning, as there is lot of real VM implementations around. For example this one: https://github.com/vnvm/vnvm So you can use it to inspect format and create your own implementation in .story.

RLVM, Anise, ViLE (already gave you link in previous messages), ONScripter (nScripter seems was open-source from beginning, but it is sort of evolution for modern machines). Probably I know more, just cannot remember right now.
Another thing is that some VNs have plain text script (like Doddler remakes he made for MG or like C's Ware Eve Burst Error PC-98 Windows version), sort of what I made for Divi-Dead.

Problem is that "action" is a very slow action (almost stop motion, lol), you have to read for 20 minutes before people do a move. You can watch the available translations from Gare and Conjueror for proofs. It is really overpowered pathos with zero movements and that usual chuuni trope about protag being beaten to death, but after he gain power and kicks ass... Or maybe not. Anyway, this is not the action in its core, this is set of arty-crafty dialogues/monologues, which are there more for Masada's verbal exercises rather than for any other reason. But no doubt someone will like it. Even Conjueror told, that Dies Irae would be most likely have a lukewarm reception, because it is nowhere near what people expect (and they expect something like Fate/Stay Night usually, just with Good Guys vs Nazi instead of Shirou Team vs Bad Guys).

I use symlinks to point all folders (like Mangagamer, Nitroplus) from my profile to my memory card.
G-Senjou saves in your documents folder iirc. So if you put them back there and game version is same - it should work. Only problem I ever had with G-Senjou (or was it Sharin no Kuni?) is that I played 90% of it on my android tablet using Kirikiriroid2, and I needed space, so copied save files from it to PC and assumed it should work. But no luck, was showing an error. I fixed it anyway, it was because Android uses more recent version of krkr2 than PC version.
