  1. Fruitbat don't publish/license the game so I have only meant that even though they don't release 18+ games themselves, they should still bring to the Harukaze's attention (who are basically self-publishing the game) that there's a very eager audience for the original 18+ version and plenty of platforms to sell it on. Since, you know, it looks like Harukaze have no meaningful interaction with the western audience whatsoever. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd even say that I generally like Fruitbat, they have released plenty of cool non-ero VNs like Chuusotsu or Seabed, sustain a somewhat decent TL/tech quality and the only game of theirs that originally had ero got the 18+ release on behalf of JAST anyway so it's not like they robbed you of anything. I'm only salty that they didn't bring Eiyuu Senki to the vita back in the day. Boo.

  2. I just picked up Fureraba and oh god, I'm enjoying this way more than I ever would've expected. I'm not the biggest fan of moege... Just because the lack of conflict usually puts me off. I mean, it's a fundamental part of storytelling to give your characters some goal, something at stake and some obstacles, that's what makes a story interesting, right? Well I still don't think I'm mistaken there, but who tf cares about plot when literally every single scene has you laughing your ass off or dying from a cuteness overdose, or both at the same time. I'm just a man dude... I can't help it. So yeah, I have still a bit left of Misaki's route, but if every route maintains this level of comedy and fluffiness... It's gonna be a blast. And once more, the lesson I once learnt the hard way about never writing off anything because of its genre pays off greatly.

  4. Don't let facts get in the way of a good story. We haven't licensed anything - as I pointed out just a few posts earlier in this thread. Not the voices, not the game. It's being released by Harukaze via their label of TOKYOTOON, and would've been exactly the same way without us, just with less QA and lacking user support. That statement's all sorts of amusing on other grounds as well, but oh well.

  5. I'd say go with the original version. The art style is more interesting than some run-of-the-mill anime design, and there are certain parts of the story that have been either shortened or removed entirely in Elite, due to them not being included in the anime and the studio apparently not wanting to spend too much time/money on additional animation. For example, one character from the original has been completely cut out. Click the spoiler below if you want to see who.

    What are you playing?

So I finished playing Fata Morgana and damn I guess they weren't kidding when they said it was a great vn. I can confidently state that it really lived up to it's hype. Here is a song that can go with it

  7. It's been a while since I've visited this place, mostly due to life being kinda crazy lately... So what made me visit today? An e-mail notification about a PM I've apparently received from a pornbot. Like I didn't have to deal with enough of this crap on Tumblr, what the hell -,-" (Hope y'all are having a good time, btw. Can't wait to have the time to read and rant about some VNs again )

The lack of "conflict" made Yuzuyu's route a little bland to me, but I loved all others - especially Misaki and Rina. Rina's route had just the right amount of drama/conflict to spice things up a bit, and Misaki's - well, it was just great I think my final verdict was that Misaki was best girl, while Rina had best route.

    What are you playing?

I finished prologue in MashiroIro (meaning, I got to the opening). There's one thing that got me by surprise - there are few moments, when characters say something, but it's treated like "background noise", and those lines aren't put into textbox, which contains narration instead. Indeed, from what I've heard those weren't important lines, but nevertheless they caught me off guard I think it's the first time I see such a thing (apart from voice-only "Heart to Heart" radio show that you can listen to on Saturday nights in ToHeart). I suppose the creators wanted to convey that protag-kun wasn't listening Whatever, my first impressions are positive - it sounds and looks great - I really like the music, backgrounds are beautiful, and sprites have rich variety of poses.
