Introduction
Welcome, fellow Fuwamembers, to the FuwaRecognition thread. Starting this March, we’ll be highlighting some of the best contributions made by our members each month. From snazzy blog articles to delicious forum threads, and perhaps even a few things more on the shitpost part of the spectrum, we'll keep an eye out for the cream of the crop. And then we'll gather them here. Just for you.

Announcement Majikoi S Translation Project Disc
First published on my old private blog on March 14, 2012. Perhaps even worth the repost. Hey, I have to have something to link people to, right? I have recouped this a few times, but in incomplete and perhaps diminished form, We shall now hear the tale of how and why I was unexpectedly hospitalized for […] View the full article
This is a response to a comment from Tay (which I suspect has ulterior motives).
Eroge, as told through the visual novel medium, fill a void in my life. I'm well past college age, yet I've never touched a girl romantically, much less kissed or dated. You might say I'm starved for romance, yet I have little interest in dating. I could go into detail, but I'm not that interested in discussing my personal life publicly or privately. I'm going through changes in my life that might very well chang

After digging in the "Post pics you like" I found this little gem, and did not hesitate to record it for all eternity.

Now, if you'll let me be excused.
And here we go, my second visual novel review! Today we will look into Fragment's Note - a visual novel made by Alvion and Ullucus Heaven. The English version was released in June 2014 for iOS, and just recently - March 10th 2015 for PSV and Android for the price of 4,5$ (that's actually the price for iOS and Android ver, I'm not sure about PSV) Unlike the iOS ver that you can purchase freely, only players from some selected countries can purchase the Android ver. I myself had to go through all
Peter Payne, owner of VN publisher JAST and the J-List empire, made the following comment in their official forums:
JAST's experience with RPGs
JAST has released several RPGs over the years, including the Raidy series, Brave Soul, Aselia the Eternal, and most recently Yumina the Ethereal. JAST has said hinted before that the Raidy series did very well for them, and they seemed quite eager to work on Raidy 3, so I'd infer that it's not included in this assessment. Brave Soul was heavily pir

For those that don’t know, the other day some villains ambushed me and they gave me a task – to produce a writing critique of Sakura Spirit. This, they say, will entertain the masses and provide much mirth for those on Fuwa. It is a task I went into full of hubris.
But first some background. Sakura Spirit is an English developed Visual Novel with extroadinarily pretty art, and yet it suffers from a horrible reputation. A reputation even more repulsive than those terribly translated, doujin, n
I Did It
So anybody who interacts with me on a regular basis probably has heard me be really hyped about the fact that I have finished my first route. Another indicator of my happiness over this would be the fact that... you know:
So I am writing this up, because I want to mark this as a milestone in my learning process. While sure, it may not seem like a big deal... but for me it is pretty huge for me. For the longest time before I got the chance to start learning Japanese, I al
Vendetta
After playing this route, I am severely tempted to immediately abuse my authority as the master of this blog and just name Silverio Vendetta VN of the Month for February. However, that really would be an abuse, so meh.
Vendetta's route... let's just say it blows you away. The battles, the twists, and the overall awesomeness that accompany them are almost equivalent to that of Marie's or Rea's route in Dies Irae in impact. The way that so much of the cast evolves during the cour
Amatsu Oboro Chitose
Chitose is a nearly pure-blooded descendant of the people of Japan, a nation that has come to be worshiped as a god by many, because of the way its technology altered the face of the world and civilization. Her sub-family of the Amatsu, the Oboro, were the ones who were obsessed with justice and noblesse oblige, which shows really obviously in her daily actions and reactiions.
My first conclusion upon finishing her path was 'I am so glad I did Milly first'. Why? Sim

I've been into VNs since around 2002, and active in the community since about 2004. I go by various pseudonyms including sanahtlig, Dark_Shiki, and magusgs. Boards I actively follow include Mangagamer, JAST, Fuwanovel, and VNDB. I was also formerly active at NIS America. I've been actively following VN localization for over 10 years, so I've become familiar with business aspects of the marke
I bought this in last year’s 5pb sale along with Yubikiri no Kioku and shoved it in the backlog until now. The full package is Memories Off 6 Complete, which bundles the base game with the fandisc. It’s the 6th game in the Memories Off series, which had typically placed an emphasis on its realistic setting […]<img alt=" border="0" src="https://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=awesomecurry.wordpress.com&blog=14339326&post=2306&subd=awesomecurry&ref=&feed=1"width=1" height="1" />
Did you know that when extracting the WEE assets using kikiriki, you find this lovely file? I’m not sure if it’s just generated by the program or was already there, lol. View the full article
Common
This VN was made by the same team that did Zero Infinity and Electro Arms, and it shows (in some ways). They have definitely improved their character balance and the way they present them, as well as the overall storytelling. The common route is fairly long (think about ten hours for me, about the same amount of time it takes me to completely finish a small charage), and it covers a rather large amount of content (there is no wasted time in this game at all, and yet it still manages to
Choices are one of the main things that make visual novels unique. In this post, I will be discussing types of choices and types of choice-makers. Please note that there are questions at the end of this post. I would appreciate it if you would answer them.
Types of Choices
Moral
The moral choice is typically based around right and wrong or your personal beliefs. Oftentimes, these choices will be weighted such that you have to choose between personal gain of some kind and what you believ
Everyone is a Troll
Welcome back fellows to another episode of "Lino fails at reading Japanese but not really."
The title is a work in progress.
Look at them all, just being all trolly and such.
So I continued my journey through the land of UnTL'd VNs, trying to make sense of the everything that I am currently reading. I cannot say that I have been 100% successful, but I am understanding WAY more than I did when I first started. I think I'll go back and read the opening sequen
In the late 2000’s or so, Looseboy was quite a popular eroge writer for Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo and G-senjou no Maou. His main genre was “human drama,” which showed through quite strongly in both of his works (more in the former than the latter). He was also supposed to be one of the writers in […]<img alt=" border="0" src="https://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=awesomecurry.wordpress.com&blog=14339326&post=2299&subd=awesomecurry&ref=&feed=1"width=1" height="1" />
Hello everyone, Rose here bringing you a post relevant to all Fuwa users. As we all know, the site went through a lot of changes lately and lots of people are still a bit lost about things, so to make everything clear, Tay made a really big post explaining his plans for the future, a summary of some new features planned and much more, so be sure to read it even if you're not confused, for you might actually learn about more stuff to come. Together with that, Eclipsed made a comprehensive list of
Mayura
Mayura is the second of the two secondary heroines... the protagonist's osananajimi who, predictably enough, has hidden her love for him since childhood (*pukes sand*). Anyway, having gotten my Minori complaints out of the way in previous posts, I won't bore you further with this. Mayura's route is your basic 'genki osananajimi' route combined with Minori's love of excessive drama. There are plenty of hard-hitting moments, that I'm sure that romance lovers will follow with excitement.
Hello everyone, quick post and no time for introductions this time, for if you didn't received the news, then there you have it: After four years in development, the Majikoi translation project is finally complete! So if you plan to read this game or was waiting for the complete patch to finish it, then go thank the team in the discussion thread, you can find their profile links in the translation thread if you feel like PMing then as well. Thanks a lot everyone on the team, you guys are amazing
First, for those who haven't already read it, these are my thoughts on Minori: http://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/blog/46/entry-341-clephass-rave-minori-vns-and-why-i-dislike-them/
Read that if you want to know where I'm coming from when I talk about Minori, because I don't like repeating myself, unless it is to brainwash people into playing Dies Irae.
Common Route
I'm going to come out and say this... this is a typical Minori common route. It feels like every other Minori game (ot
