  1. Check out the trailer!: Inspired by the likes of Dark Souls, Earthbound, and various tabletop RPGs, Karmasutra is an intense, erotic hybrid RPG/Visual Novel taking place in a rich, detailed, open world. Karmasutra takes place in the world of Tattva - a mysterious, heavenly realm that acts as the final challenge for sinners who seek the call of Nirvana in other worlds. Once home to ancient, sacred civilizations, these eras have now passed; in the wake of this passing, the realm has become an afterlife, a final challenge for restless wandering souls who commit sins in other worlds. As our protagonist awakes in this strange land, he's quickly introduced to concept of Samsara; the journey across Tattva that all "Wanderers" must undergo to cleanse themselves of sin. Confused by this sudden pitch, our Wanderer also learns that this so-called "call of Nirvana" is not absolute; in fact, there are some Wanderers that choose to ignore the call in exchange for the infinite sexual & material pleasures - and dangers - that this mysterious afterlife seems to offer. In this foreign realm however, Wanderers are not the only residents. From the sacred gurus who guide Wanderers and the demonic Asurian tricksters to the monstrous manifestations of sin and the Gods themselves, Tattva is never truly what it seems. But in this mysterious world, where both the path of Sin and the path Merit seem to lead to their own rewards and consequences, which path is truly correct? And more importantly, which path will you, the Wanderer, choose? Karmasutra is a hybrid VN; it plays as an RPG, and interactions with NPCs are done in typical visual novel form.It takes place in Tattva, a large world, filled with many, many unique NPCs - all with h-scnes - and various smaller events and interactions that can be pursued in parallel to the main story. Some features include a morality system, which will change the way characters interact with you and dictate certain events across the world of Tattva, a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired tabletop exploration system, featuring a number of interesting and unique locations, and a turn-based combat system with a unique twist - instead of just fighting, enemies can also be conversed with, randomly generated with one of many possible personalities per-type of enemy. And last but not least, here are a few more peaks at some of the game's characters during visual novel scenes: And some more character art for fun: There's monster girls too! Progress The game is currently scheduled for first quarter of this year, a lot of it is currently finished and holding for art. We're considering a crowdfunding campaign, but nothing is confirmed. 2. Current Progress We're Currently planning to launch our Greenlight Campaign on the 18th - January 2014: 4pm PST (Will update later with the link) and we're aiming to have the game finished off within the next month. Synopsis In a world where spirit creatures are known to visit the human world, an unusual and cheerful plant spirit by the name of Rose has come to make her home among this world. Join Rose as she stumbles her way through her new job at a small indie game studio, while still trying to comprehend the differences of human customs. Her reasons for leaving the spirit realm are unclear, however suspicion rises when another spirit arrives with an ill warning and the intent of hunting down Rose. What mess has she gotten herself into and what secrets could this cute and playful spirit possibly be hiding? You're the only one with a chance to uncover this mystery in this cute and amusing game... Because... you're a human... she won't suspect you. About Project Casually Rose is a story that follows the events of our Company Mascot Rose as she came to be in our employ. It is a comical game that dances on the edge of mystery as a strange girl from an unknown world turns up on the door step of the game studio. We set out to create this game after being approached by numerous fans that had started to see the artworks arise from the concepts of Rose. They were quite vocally passionate in expressing their wishes to see Rose be more than just a mascot, they wanted to see her in the games we make. So we took a break from our major project and set out on the Journey of breathing life into Rose and the world that she inhabits. It didn't take long to fall in love with this project, from the moment we saw Rose smile to when she spoke her first words, we knew that this game was something that needed to be shared with the world. Trailers Characters ROSE Age: 21 Birthday: 9th October Height: 167cm Measurements: 92/54/80 Rose is a plant spirit who found herself lost in the human world and latched on to the first humans she encountered. Consequently that is how she came to be employed as the mascot at a Game Studio, coincidentally named Rose Covenant. She is quite clumsy and is often getting into trouble EMBER Age: 18 Birthday: 7th May Height: 152cm Measurements: 78/52/75 Ember is a Flame Spirit who came to the human world to hunt down Rose. Not much is known about her reasons or motives, just that she is very determined and won't stop until she has succeeded. She can be quite short tempered at times, a trait that isn't too uncommon among her kind. BOSS LADY Age: 23 Birthday: 2nd November Height: 170cm Measurements: 85/54/78 She is the CEO of the game studio, she found Rose and gave her a home. She gets stressed easy and can sometimes be short with Rose, but she does care for Rose's wellbeing and wants to help her find her place in this world. Features Responsive Character Animation: Using Esoteric's 2D animation software (Spine), Casually Rose utilizes real time character animations that provide a rich emotional and immersive experience for the player. Light & Engaging Story: The story of Casually Rose follows the main character Rose through her arrival in a new world and the challenges she faces trying to fit in. The story flirts with a light and playful tone while still harbouring a deep and intriguing tale deep under the surface. 2.5D Background Environments: Adding to the immersiveness of the character animations, Casually Rose supports a number of scenes with an almost 3D like quality and makes use of this to add a whole extra level of depth to the visual novel genre. Dialog Rewind: Knowing how easy it is to accidently skip through a piece of dialog, Casually Rose adds in support to backtrack through previous dialogs, so you can re-experience it without requiring a save point. Enhanced Dialog System: After analyzing normal speech patterns, Casually Rose implemented a system to simulate these patterns in the text to provide a richer experience for the player. Sample Images
  3. KICKSTARTER | WEBSITE | TWITTER | ITCH.IO | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | TUMBLR | LEMMASOFT Update #10: Mysteries and Science Fiction in A Near Dawn Our KickStarter wrapped at 76% ~ We didn't quite reach our goal. It will be nice to take a little break and reflect on things. You can download the full Prologue for A Near Dawn FREE on Itch.io (Russian Version available, as well) / Steam / GooglePlay (Android Version) A Near Dawn is a visual adventure created by Leonid Pilchin. It is the first commercial project from Far-off Daydream Games. A Near Dawn is an enjoyable yet devastating psychological thriller with amusing highs, gut-wrenching crashes, and mature themes. While grounded in reality, supernatural and science fiction elements will unfold as the story progresses. The opening sees our main character - Seattle-based attorney Sam Nichols - who seems to be experiencing disturbing psychological difficulties, exposed to progressively dire circumstances that threaten to unravel his reality and destroy those closest to him. Haunted by personal demons, with your law firm struggling and on the brink of collapse, you take the helm on an important new case involving a ruthless multinational corporation, defended by some of the vilest people you ever had the misfortune of knowing. The odds already seem stacked against you, but you will soon learn that things are not as they appear, as a deeper conspiracy begins to emerge. Where will you end up if you keep untangling the threads? You must be brave to uncover the truth. This project is an interactive visual novel adventure featuring: Beautiful artwork and animations rendered in 1080p Immersive cinematics with some frame-by-frame animation Original music composed for the game Full voice audio provided by some very talented actors Puzzles to solve - the flow of this game is inspired by traditional adventure games Dynamic decisions that alter the course of your interactions with others - rewards or consequences for your actions Psychological tension - the main character has a darker personality who will come to the surface if you feed that darkness Multiple endings - there is one true ending, but your successes or failures can take you off course Episodic narrative - This is a full game, but it is part of an ambitious project with a far-reaching storyline The plot will not progress without you, you are in control of the main character's actions at every turn. You will explore your environment and speak to other characters to learn about what is happening and what must be done. A key concept of this game was to give as much freedom and put as much detail into the content of the story as could be managed, as such you will have the option to skip important elements of the game not necessary for advancing the main plot if your character chooses to ignore them or fails to explore them. At the same time, you will not be able to move forward without resolving issues necessary for advancing the story along. In fair Seattle, where we lay our scene. We're getting close to finishing art for the opening! The neighborhood diner near your workplace. Our story begins here with a chat between two of our protagonists over a lunch that goes terribly wrong. Where, oh where could this be? 5. I've been working hard on this visual novel for the past 3 years, and I was hoping to find some people to read over the rough draft. Please tell me about spelling errors, grammar errors, plot holes, I want to know everything. If you think a line should be written better, or even if you have an idea for a scene that should be added, please tell me. If you help me make the visual novel better, by finding mistakes or adding suggesting, I will add your name to the credits. I'm mainly concerned about plot holes and making sure the entire story makes sense to everyone. I would strongly like to note that this rough draft does NOT contain the character development episodes, which aren't required for understanding the characters or the story, but they do help you understand the characters a little bit more. I have them done, but I want to re-write them to make them better. Inside the folder you may notice a TXT document labeled, EXTRA INFO. It contains information and questions on the things that happened in the story that are not explained. I plan on adding this to the visual novel later as an unlockable "Ask Rika" mode. Please don't read it until after you read the visual novel, it contains spoilers. Summary: Devil Corp is holding a set of sexy tournaments to show off their newest armor, REN. When equipped, a user can spawn weapons, change clothes, and even defy death itself. But not everyone in the universe is happy with Devil Corp’s newest product. Highvote, a nation with an extreme democracy, has voted to end everyone’s fun. To make things worse, Nicole is going berserk, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to stop her. Could she have found a glitch in the armor’s programming, or could there be something bigger going on? Either way, the REN users aren’t just going to sit around and have their freedom taken away without a fight. Word Count: 65,000~ This visual novel is rated +16 Please do not read this visual novel if you are under the age of 16. This visual novel contains - Blood and Gore - Censored Nipples - Intense Violence - Mature Humor - Partial Nudity - Sexual Violence - Strong Language - Strong Sexual Comedy - Use of Alcohol Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ukj76bqdni5uu7s/MW-MAINVN_ROUGHDRAFT-1.1-all.zip For more information please check out the Moe Wars game blog: http://moewars.com/blog/ Also you can easily get in contact with me on the Moe Wars forum: http://moewars.icyboards.net/ or by visiting our Discord channel. I know that it may take some people a few months to read it since it's a very long story. It would mean a lot to me if you simply posted if you plan on reading it, so I don't have to look at an empty thread for 3 months in depression wondering if anyone is actually reading it or not. 6. Hello everyone. I've been working on this game for about two and a half years; and somehow only just now found out about this place. I am rather poorly informed... Anyways, I've managed to get a fair bit beyond the demo stage and have a fair bit of content made. It still has a ways to go before it is finished, but I think I've got a pretty good start on it at least. Relevant links: Play Now: http://changermcgame.blogspot.com/p/new-play-now.html Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Changer Walkthrough: http://changermcgame.blogspot.com/p/adventure-high-walkthrough.html The plot Adventure High takes place at a school for would-be adventurers, with the sole mission of training it's students to utilize their unique magical gifts to reclaim lost artifacts and technology from the old world and help make the town a better place to live. You are a first year student at the school, with a gift for Control magic. With this gift, you will develop spells that can be used to help others... or bend them to your will. Will you resist temptation to become a true hero, allow yourself a few minor indulgences along the way, or take advantage of your powers to take complete control of everyone around you? My main goal with the story is to give a lot of focus to player choice. Growing up, I was always disappointed with games such as Fable that promised a deep and rich system where you can be whatever you want to be, only to limit you to maybe 3-4 meaningful choices throughout the entire story. In this game, not only will you get to make numerous plot-changing decisions, but nearly every scene will allow you to cast the spells you've learned on the person you are speaking to. If you see the spell menu icon appear, it means at least one of the spells you can learn could be used in that scene. And the spell menu icon appears in nearly every scene. The Art When I first began work on the project, I was a horrible artist and had no money to pay for art. That has changed over the last year and more than half of my old art has now been replaced with higher quality artwork from other artists, and I have a goal of replacing the rest of my old art, especially the awful backgrounds, as quickly as possible. Here are some examples of some of the artwork present in the game. Artist Credits: RokuMoku: Avatars Caveman Doodles: Splash images Inaneoble: Monster art (Currently Inactive) Old Artwork, for comparison: Progress This is a list of what was added in the last version of the game, which was 0.30: - Avatar for Mr. Drape updated.- Updated Images added to make-out scene with Sarah after the first date.- Variation of Cassandra's Library scene added for her willing slave plotline.- Jane's library scene added.- 2 scenes added to Jane Tamed plot.- You can now command Molly to give you shop items for free (Note, will cause her to get fired if abused)- New shop interface with Derrick if Molly was fired.- 1 new scene added for Molly being fired.- 1 new Caveman Doodles image added to Bimbofication Ending.- Molly's personality change sequences added. (Avatar only changes for Classic art for now)- 1 new scene for Erin added- 1 new area added Final Thoughts So, while I have been working on this game a long time, this is still my first project of this scope. So, I'm sure there are numerous things I probably need to be made aware of, or fix. Any advice, or feedback would be appreciated, as I want to make this game be as good as I can possibly make it.
  7. Hello everyone! I thought I'd post here about the project I am currently working on: Echoes of the Fey - Episode 0: The Immolation We're currently in Steam Greenlight! ABOUT WOODSY STUDIO I (Jenny Gibbons) run Woodsy Studio along with Malcolm Pierce, and this will be our fifth released visual novel. You can find more info about our previous games on our website, which include Serafina's Saga, Serafina's Crown, Quantum Conscience, and Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1. Although we're usually the sole developers of our projects, we hire out for voice acting in our games, and we occasionally recruit other people such as artists and sound designers to help us out. INTRODUCTION TO EPISODE 0: THE IMMOLATION "Echoes of the Fey" is a visual novel series following a flawed but forcefully optimistic heroine, Sofya Rykov, trapped amidst the conflict between Humans and Leshin (elves). For thirty years, the continent of Oraz has been wracked by the great war between its peoples. The East is ruled by the kingdom of the Humans, divided up into counties and family houses. Beyond the great forest of the west is the Leshin, undying men and women with a strong connection to the Fey, capable of powerful magic. Humans cannot wield Fey magic on their own, but they know how to channel it into machines called Fey reactors and manipulate it for their purposes. Deeply offended by this use of Fey energy, the Leshin have been fighting for decades to disarm Humans of their Fey reactor technology. "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 0 - The Immolation" is a short prequel to "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1 - The Fox's Trail," already released. It reveals the origin of Sofya's strange abilities and how she came to meet Heremon. Although Episode 1 is a commercial project, Episode 0 will be released for FREE upon completion. DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS Currently the project is about 75% done, and the remaining 25% primarily consists of UI touch-ups, bug fixing, and adding features. The script is written, VA is complete, *most* artwork is finished, most of the code foundation is in place, and almost all the scenes have been coded in. This is the first visual novel we've made in Unreal Engine 4, so it has been an interesting adventure so far! Naturally, it was difficult getting started setting up our own visual novel engine within UE4, but now that we've got the hang of it, we're really loving the engine altogether. We've actually had a lot fewer problems so far than we experienced with Game Maker, our previous engine. Before that we used Ren'Py, which is still a fantastic engine for people who don't need to add complex elements to their VN beyond normal branching and dialogue. We've been sitting in Greenlight for awhile, but we're hoping we can get Greenlit by the time we're finished with the game, so we can release it free onto Steam as soon as possible! I'll try to update here as we progress. In the meantime, you can check out Episode 1 of the series, currently discounted for Steam's winter sale!
  8. SYNOPSIS With only one week to complete an important project, you help Natalie manage her busy schedule and decide which activities to prioritize and sacrifice. INFO "Natalie" is a short story with multiple endings. The choices you make directly affects the outcome of the story. Please consider providing a critique if you play the game. Thanks! Download from itch.io PREVIEW PROGRESS Complete, but updates will be made if necessary PROJECT PAGE/DOWNLOAD https://kenibatz.itch.io/natalie
  9. The Cycle of Magic - A Prelude is a free to play Original Visual Novel with a fantasy setting. It was originally meant to be a project submitted to the Summer Novel Festival a year ago, and therefore neither involves money or will surpass a play-length of two hours. The protagonist is Zevair - a tall, imposing demon male who is the last of his kind after a mass exodus that followed the supposed death of the magical energy that once flowed through the land. Players will follow Zevair on a small, yet integral part of his journey, where he is asked to find the young granddaughter of an old woman who had been attacked by the girl's kidnapper. In the "New World" where Zevair is feared and judged simply for his appearance by the youthful humanity, Zevair will discover that not all is at it seems, for there is a mystery to the girl, and a connection that neither of them dared believe real. As it stands, the character sprites are complete. There are only three integral characters in the story: Zevair, the girl, and Zevair's mother, who plays a small, yet important part of the story. This is Zevair - the protagonist of this short story. Despite his tall and imposing stature, Zevair is quite a stand-up fellow, and does what he can to help the people he comes across, even if they're never grateful and try to drive him away. Ten years of solitude have eaten away at his spirits, but he continues to drive forward regardless. This is Zevair's mother - Jezela. She has a superiority complex towards humanity, and considers them to be naught but insects. Very hoity toity and proud, Jezela was once much warmer as a mother than she ended up in the end. This is the girl who Zevair must rescue. About ten years of age. The above artwork is done by akkalime. You can see some more of her work HERE In regards to required assets, I am still in need of an individual willing to work on three to five musical numbers that have an overall genre of mystical fantasy. One song in particular is extra important, and is a lullaby. I already have the melody and lyrics I wish to use, I simply need someone who can bring it to life. Details of the needed assets can be provided upon inquiry. I am also in need of someone who can make a project logo. It doesn't have to be super amazing, but still be decent for the sake of clarity and fitting the overall feel of the project. I hope that this project can be completed and brought to those who enjoy visual novels, and I intend to work on a larger project in the future that will continue this world's story. If you think you'd be willing to help bring this story to life, please let me know. As I said before, this is a free, noncommercial project, so I hope to get any assistance possible. I hope you find this project interesting, and will follow with the production as it comes along, however slowly. Thank you.

We also hope to have partial or full voice acting for the game, but that's something we plan to address when we're closer to release. PLOT:: Your choices will play an absolutely integral role in the story. This game is a huge undertaking, and as there are over 36 different endings, we want to make each route as different as possible, so there's little to no repetition. We want to keep the replay value high, and offer our players the most interaction possible between characters. There will be an in-game meter that will keep track of your relationship status with each character, whether negative or positive. Each choice you make will cause that meter to rise or fall, depending on said character's preferences and feelings towards Aster. ZodiaX will have many different branches, and each character's route will intertwine with one to three others, so that the player gets to see different sides and facets of each character depending on who they choose to pursue. Not only will players make romantic choices, but they'll also be making big decisions that affect the world around them. Do you save a little boy, and let Voidwalkers destroy and kill a family-run shop? Do you sacrifice one of your friends to keep the Barrier up and Elune safe? Do you side with the Company and figure the world needs a reset, or do you simply choose to wash your hands of your hometown and run away with your lover? With a myriad of different decisions, we want to keep our players as engaged as possible. TIMEFRAME:: We estimate that making enough content for a demo will take 4 - 6 months, which is when we'lll begin a CrowdFunding campaign, and the full game [ seeing as how huge it is ] should be in early Beta within 12 - 16 months. ZodiaX was created by Noxius and Binary. The idea was formed in mid 2015, and they officially began working on the project in August of this year. They both came up with the concept, characters, and story. All art, music, and other media belongs to their respective artists and ZodiaX. We will be needing people to help spread the word, as well as Beta testers to give us feedback. Character Art:: Noxius Programmer / Social Media:: Binary Background Art:: Spocar Original Soundtrack:: Glitch Nix Seeing as how I'll be the one doing most of the talking, I'm pleased to meet you all! Feel free to call me Binary or 001. Right now, we're looking for people to help us spread the word about the game, as well as those familiar with Unity, and people who are interested to do a test-run on our early Alpha when it's available. Obviously, people who help us will be given lots of goodies~ I. Is the art style appealing? As a VN, our game will ride primarily on the quality / style of our work. II. How do you feel about the story? We get that the whole 'mysterious company' crap has been done before. Cliche? Could it work with a spin? Should we rework that part of the concept entirely? III. 12 characters. It's a lot. Do you think this is a good or a bad thing? How can we be sure to make each interesting? We plan to put in the same amount of time and effort into each route, but aside from that? IV. What do you think of the world building / story setting? We want the game to have an eerie feel to it the majority of the time as the Void creeps slowly closer to Elune. V. Have any general thoughts / questions? We'd be happy to answer and converse with you! We mostly update everything through our TUMBLR. Links to our Twitter, FB, and Instagram can be found there as well. Currently, we're looking for people to give us their opinions and thoughts on the game, as well as to connect with other indie developers who create OELVNs! We hope to be a huge part of the Fuwa community, and sincerely look forward to it! -- Binary, Co-Creator / Writer / Programmer
  11. Elsewhere High - Chapter 1 Welcome to Elsewhere High, "a school for exceptional children." In this visual novel, players are able to immerse themselves in the world of the outcast. Each student at Elsewhere High has fallen short of expectations at their original high school; they've flunked out, skipped class, wrote threatening notes, or grew to be a reprehensible bully. The only prerequisite to admission is failure. Friendships spawn, and feuds arise, but amidst the teen drama and angst it quickly becomes clear that Elsewhere is much, much more than it seems. Chapter one is the first chapter in a planned multi-chapter series that is releasing absolutely free of charge. Subsequent chapters will be sold at a small cost. Main Characters: And here's some screen shots just for fun! Elsewhere High is also running a Greenlight campaign over on Steam! If you'd like to support this project, please consider giving it an upvote on Greenlight. You can reach it's page here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=782686123 The first chapter will take fast readers about an hour to complete, and slow readers upward of two hours. The novel is mostly kinetic: it offers the reader choices in dialogue and optional scenes, but ultimately will lead all readers to the same place. So, with all of that said, if you'd like to check out the first chapter of Elsewhere High, here is a link to the download page hosted at itch.io! https://penholder.itch.io/elsewhere-high-chapter-1-a-visual-novel-
  12. Hey there! So my vn has been done for quite some time... I just haven't been able to release it because I can't find testers. I just need a few people to download the VN from the site (itch) and tell me if it works. Because there's a fairly good chance I did something wrong along the way and need to fix something up. PC and Mac users needed! Here's the link to the itch page, the password is elsewhere https://penholder.itch.io/elsewhere-high-chapter-1-a-visual-novel- Here's a link to the greenlight page for information and screenshots! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=782686123

  15. Hi! Recently I have been creating a new world to set stories in. I am creating a series of shorter games and comics exploring this world. While I am not completely done, I feel as though your feedback would be very much welcome. I want to include you peeps in the development process. What is it? Rooted follows a town built on top of a giant creature wandering through the world. The town is mostly self sufficient - they grow crops and trees on the creature, harvest the giant fur to sew clothes and other materials, and mine the horns of the creature to create more sturdy things such as weapons and foundations. Every once in a while, the creature ceases its endless trot to slumber. For a short while, the giantfolk can visit the ground to trade and mingle before the creature wakes up. To the people living on the creature there are two worlds. The familiar and constant soft and furry world of the town set in the fur of the creature, and the ever changing, moving world of the ground. The world of the ground is always different , forever changing as the creature continues walking onwards. The creature folk are forever moving this way, but also forever rooted to the creature. Intent I want to explore how life on the creature is. To explore their world and use that in context of my own worldview to gain a better understanding of myself. Does the townfolk ever feel trapped? Do their youth run away to the unknown ground world? Does the town traditionally reproduce with people from the ground world to increase their gene pool? What does the ground world think of the creature? What if a city is trampled down, does people get angry and what do they do about it? What happens when they meet another creature with a townt? What if their giant is a predator, for example a spider? Those are some potential plotlines set in this world. For now I am still creating the world and establishing just how it works though! View from a small settlement on the edge of the giant. What do you want from me? I am involving you in the development of Rooted, if you would like to! Here is how it works; Every week or every other week, I will post a new update on the project. I will give you guys a script, a comic, a prototype or simply some artwork. In the same run, I will provide a feedback form, you will hopefully give feedback, and based on your feedback I will pivot accordingly! While I have a vision, I believe it is important to listen to your audience and iterate from there. If you’re into it, I would love to take your opinion into consideration. Okay, let me join! You can leave some feedback and sign up as a tester here - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfs_tElhyRJ2VJ0tuiVjBKdcRynAH2Zihld8DfQm_xjpVZe9Q/viewform Who are you? My name is Sebastian Larsson. I am a game design student from Sweden. I am into creating things ranging from games, to comics, to stories. I have been working on Rooted independently for the past couple of weeks. You can follow the development of Rooted here - http://rootedstory.tumblr.com/ ..or hit up my twitter here https://twitter.com/Mnniska Thanks a ton for reading, let me know what you think :)

  17. Link to Trailer When a withdrawn virtual reality nerd has the opportunity to beta test a neural device that feels more “real” than reality itself, everything she assumed about the nature of existence is thrown into question. Download the Demo If you play, please take our feedback survey! Steam Page Story Supernovas blaze in the night sky and major natural disasters are commonplace, but the gaming world is abuzz over a revolutionary virtual reality console. The Penta, developed by InterMense founder Jacob Lessard, promises a direct, neural connection more “real” than reality itself. But what does it truly mean for something to be real? When VR nerd Lilya Martel arrives at InterMense as a beta tester, she expects to spend the weekend battling her social anxiety in exchange for the opportunity to enter Vitalia, the flagship Penta simulation. But the creatures of Vitalia seem more intelligent than any current AI could possibly simulate. And between the physical side-effects of the device and suspicious explanations from the developers, clearly all is not as it seems at InterMense. Ben Evers, another beta tester, claims that Vitalia is the world in which he belongs - permanently. When his life is threatened, Lilya sees that she has become involved in something much riskier and more eye-opening than she realized. As Lilya, Ben, and Jacob’s fates intertwine, they must make some of the hardest decisions of their lives, and confront their own beliefs and perceptions of the nature of existence. Features A Thought-Provoking Narrative - with several mind-bending twists and two perspective characters, the story is both philosophically ambitious and deeply personal. Choices That Matter - a heavily branching story line makes the game re-playable. Your decisions have major consequences - ranging from shifting a character’s attitude, to placing them on a different story branch, to re-directing the outcome of the entire game. Expressive Character Art and Visuals - 14 characters (each with various poses and expressions), 12+ background scenes, 17+ CGs/special illustrations, 15+ ending panels. Character and Relationship-Building - rich character development, affected by your choices, and with opportunities for both romantic and non-romantic relationship-building. Romance is optional, and may be pursued from either Lilya or Jacob’s perspective. ^ Work in Progress CG Original Music and Sound Design - by the talented composer Chase Bethea. 18. Truth Unveiled Hello! My name is Miya and I'm recruiting for Truth Unveiled. I am the team leader. At this time, our team is made up of two programmers, three writers, and I. This is a non commercial project. Our Team pigionsdeliver - Lead writer (on lemma) Otometea - Writer (on lemma) Philip Napier - Writer (Not on this site) Logic Nerd - Lead programmer (on lemma) James Inness - programmer (Not on this site) Our progress so far First, let me say that this game is being built in a custom engine that allows episodic release. It is like Ren'py but has many more features. So the script for Episode 1 (of 5) is finished. It needs editing. If you are interested in being an editor, I can send it to you via email or skype. Information below. For the Episode 1 demo, that puts us at about 30% completion What we Need We need a sprite artist for about 7 sprites with your basic expressions. I, myself, am an artist and would be happy to provide you with basic concept art to aid you. I'll do whatever it takes to make your job easier. We need a background artist, I want these locations to be unique. I'm not above using the creative commons but everyone wants to be original. We need a musician. We have our plot in place and would love to have themes per character as well as menu and dynamic event tracks. This is ambition, but at the least, we need background music. We need an editor. We have a VERY talented writing crew and as a small downside, the script needs to be converted to more layman's terms to appeal to a wider demographic. 19. Hey there guys, I have updated my page to include information on the three main characters in my VN Elsewhere High! I will update it with secondary characters soon. In the meantime, check out the page, tell me what you think of the art, and maybe leave a comment/vote! Thanks a bunch http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=782686123
  20. Hi, guys! We just started with a project called "Monster Prom". It's a game meant to be played from 1 to 4 players that mixes "choose-your-own-adventure" and "dating sim" mechanics. You will have a limited number of turns to explore a highschool full of weird and amazing events that will let you meet your six classmates. Each event will let you raise or lose your stats and improve or mess with your relationship with the NPCs. In the end you will ask one of the NPCs to go to prom with you. Similar to The Yawhg (Awesome game, check it out!) We're planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign soon! (October 25th) STRENGHTS OF THE GAME > Cool art > Funny situations and dialogues > A Multiplayer game to play with friends and laugh w/ the situations. A funny experience to share! What do you think?
  21. Hello! First of all, this is my second post (but is like the first one) so I want to say: hey everyone. This web is like a VN paradise, I love it haha I've been working on a Cyberpunk VN for a month, mostly on the script but I have some art already and I wanted to show it to you. Hope you like it. I have a lot more but of couse I can't post it. So, thats the art but I want to talk a bit about the story and all of that, just because this is my first VN and I'm excited about it. As is said on the title the game will have a Cyberpunk/Sci-fi thematic with some soft philosophy on it and a lot of robots. All the protagonists are girls (with a bit of Yuri even if this is not an eroge~) Right now I'm thinking about using TyranoBuilder as engine, because I don't know anything about scripting, I'm not sure if is the best option though. I'm a bit worried about the music and the translation because: even if I have experience drawing and writing, this is my first time composing music so I will upload a couple of tracks in the future and you can tell me if they are any good. And since I'm spanish, I need to translate the script but my english is nowhere near perfect, so I may need help to correct the mistakes I will make translating the script. Thats all for now, I'll gladly answer any questions ;D Thanks everyone for reading me. Cheers.

Features : - A lot of different endings that reveals new aspects of the story and characters. - Choices made by the player during the game affect relationship levels and actions with the characters. - The greater the intimacy of the protagonist to the girls, the more effectively they fight. 24. In Starry Dreams, the player is a new resident of Sunflower Apartments, where they meet several interesting characters- two of which who want to open their own bakery! As the story progresses, the success of the bakery hinges on whether or not the player is good enough friends with the characters. The player plays as the nameable protagonist who has just moved into the apartments of most of the characters in Starry Dreams. There are a total of 6 characters in Starry Dreams, not including the player character. You build relationships with the characters, which decides how the story progresses. The better a friend you are to some of them- how much you support them- dictates if their dreams and goals are accomplished. The aim of the project is to make a light-hearted LGBT story that's cute but doesn't focus on the characters being LGBT- instead, it's about their lives and their goals. Two characters, Marion and Frederika, are a non-binary couple who want to build a bakery together. Two other characters, Licellia and Bricie, are a lesbian couple that have their own aspirations, developed later in the story. Starry Dreams focuses on becoming friends with the characters and either supporting their dreams or being apathetic to them. 25. We at 7 Keys Studios have finally launched the crowdfunding campaign for Angels - our vision of a next generation SciFi VR Visual Novel. This comes in parallel to making Chapter 1 available for free on Steam. Find the media kit here. The goal of the campaign is to raise enough money to finance the production of the rest of the story, which is fully voiced and works on a variety of platforms. The production began when Milan Kazarka the creator of the Invisible Apartment visual novel series met with Stan Kuhn who’s been creating virtual and augmented reality products for an assortment of clients. Angels & Demigods was a story which Milan had in store for years, waiting for the right platform to release it on. Stan had the software platform ready to create a new visual novel engine that would bring the genre into VR. The plan was not to reinvent the genre in 3D, but rather to use the best of the principles from making traditional visual novel games, keep the art number one priority and work around the fact that high resolution illustrations are better than 3D textures. We managed to create an immersive experience by carefully working with high-resolution illustrations rather than 3D models. This focus on art-style, the atmosphere makes the experience so authentic and the game so unique and fit for VR. Unlike many current VR games we designed Angels & Demigods around the idea of storytelling in VR, so it’s not just straight up port of existing game mechanics. It’s a unique experience. We work with some great artists and musicians - Henrique “Kite” Xavier who has worked on the Invisible Apartment series, Roly Porter who’s been recognized by Rolling Stone as a musician you should know, Sebastian Bach combining classical and electronic music and voice actors like Sally Feng and JB Coleman. Angels & Demigods is a tribute to both SciFi and anime. It’s a manifestation of ideas collected over the course of many years. - “Angels & Demigods is a story and a set of ideas I had on my mind and on paper in my drawer for a long time waiting for the right moment. I’ve been writing down ideas for stories for fifteen years now. I’m a huge fan of sci-fi, anime. My huge inspiration are movies like The Dune, The Fifth Elementand manga like Battle Angel Alita and works by Tsutomu Nihei. I like to imagine worlds far in the future, beings with superpowers and a the environment a cultural mix. I never really wanted to release any of my stories on paper, since I found the book form of publishing quite limiting. I’m a huge fan of comics, though I never embraced the medium myself for my own work. Still, I like to express my ideas visually. Discovering the visual novel medium was a blessing. I realized that I was able to publish a story in an interactive format and that opened new possibilities. My first visual novel was Invisible Apartment, which transformed to a series of four parts over the course of the last years. With Angels & Demigods we’re taking things further. I was blown away by the first prototypes in which we just experimented with putting a few characters and music into a 360° space. As someone who writes interactive fiction I couldn’t imagine a better platform.” - Milan Kazarka - - in the media: https://versions.killscreen.com/new-game-studio-making-visual-novel-vr/ - pre release article on Killscreen http://www.mobilevrdaily.com/coming-soon/angels-and-demigods-preview/ - pre release article on MobileVRDaily Gameplay videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPmyrZ50a4c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo-NoYjJB1U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHSk7DVvq8Y
