Jake’s Paralysis is a dating sim visual novel with animated backgrounds and Live2D characters with multiple choices to determine different endings.. The theme is fantasy, of the Bishōjo genre, where the story focuses on the romance between a boy and a girl in the 90s and an unknown event that makes the main character teleport back and forth onto a universe set in the 20s.   4. Team Beyond has started developing its Fading Sky pilot project! Fading Sky is a visual novel storytelling game. This is a tragic and sad story set in a fantasy world after a global magical catastrophe. We were inspired by a series of games like Fate (Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero), Science Adventure (Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head), and of course Utawarerumono. GAMEPLAY The main features of the Fading Sky gameplay: - narration in the style of a visual novel with full voice acting (in English and Russian). - two main characters, the player's choice. - non-linear story with a choice. - the ability to influence the fate of two worlds at once. - Thoughtful and detailed dark fantasy setting. - study of the history of the world and characters. - torn pages of the book "The myths of Arret" describing the history of the world of Arret, which can be found in the most unexpected places in the game world. - more than 10 story endings. - eroge-element for PC versions of the game as a separate patch. GRAPHIC ARTS Fading Sky is a 2.5D RPG with fully animated scenes and characters. FullHD native resolution (1920 x 1080). A team of talented artists is working on this. PLOT AND CHARACTERS Fading Sky will tell you a tragic tale of the last moments of Arret's world. A story about those who will witness this, together with whom you will learn the history of the rise and fall of this once beautiful world. The tension of our story will strike from the very beginning of the narrative and will increase as the reason for which three of our contemporaries ended up in this dying world is clarified. In an attempt to understand what is happening, they will somehow close the last chapter of this mysterious story. LORE Inspired by various fantasy stories and a little bit of Celtic mythology, we created our own universe, which we called Fading Dimension or simply FD. This is elaborate lore, at many the era before the events of this game. We hope that Fading Sky will become just a small island in the Sea of Void of our history and a starting point for the implementation of all our ideas. We are also working on a card game in the FD universe rewound several eras before the start of the disaster. TECHNICAL PART The game is being developed on the studio's own engine FadingEngine, which is built on C++, OpenGL, and FMOD technologies, which allows the project to be ported to almost any of the well-known gaming platforms, from Windows/Linux to iOS/Android and even PS/XBOX. AS AN INTRODUCTION TO STORY History turns into legends, legends into myths, myths into fairy tales that are quickly forgotten. Perhaps once the world was different, lived according to different laws and unspoken rules, carried other creatures and other plants on its body. Served as a book for thousands of forgotten but massive stories. One of these stories has not yet received a full ending. Although its beginning has long been forgotten, the trace still stretches from the depths of eras and grows with a heavy echo with each shift of hands of the world clock. NEAREST PLANS Soon, we plan to release a demo version of the game (Fading Sky: One dream before), which will become the zero chapter of the whole story, i.e. it will be a separate short backstory a few hours before the main plot of Fading Sky. We are also planning to release a trailer, where we are ready to show both an animated introduction to the game and some of the gameplay itself (where we will try to do without story spoilers). After that, we hope to launch the company on Kickstarter or Pathreon (we haven't decided exactly yet, but we already have interesting material rewards for our future bakers). Our player is one of them, he/she sets out for a mission on day but unexpectedly finds romance across galaxies.The player can choose to play as a Female or Male. The player can visit which planets he/she wants to explore. Ultimately after experiencing them all, the player can only choose one option. But that's where the early demo ends. -Early Demo includes 10K words-Different worlds/scenarios for each celestial body-Mini explorations to talk to the characters or learn about the world.-Multiple Choices-5 Route + 1 Hidden Route-3 Endings per Character Route (for finished product) Aeiki is from a natural satellite called Zirom. Shunned from society, the people all seem to despise him. 'What have I done wrong?', he would wonder with eyes filled with sadness. This led him to become a broken individual who grieves day after day. All he wishes for is to be accepted into society. Farrako is from Serheca, the land of the desert. In this barren land, he travels as a wandering nomad. He's a chivalrous man with manners. Sometimes he break away from his gentle facade to show his real emotions buried within. Behind that smile hides disgust and hatred. A persona that he tries to hide from everyone. Venalla is from the planet Yinarus, which is home to two species. Those on land, the Keses. And the sea people, the Mareas. Venalla is a proud commander of the Mareas Army. He is prideful tend to flaunt his position often. Though he can be hot-headed and arrogant at times, he care deeply for his people. Rekua is one of the two ministers that rule Lilitu. Lilitu is a dying star. No one knows how it hasn't exploded in millenniums or how it even have inhabitants. Not only does the star have a mystery but so does Rekua with his mischief. He likes a little bit of entertainment now and then to take a break from his duties. Qusaven is an innocent young man from the dwarf planet, Xenshi. He's from a small village and he treats the people like family. He loves to play around and care for the weak. On the outside, the village looks like an ordinary cheerful tribe, but something sinister is occurring on the inside. Nikolai is a comrade that you can rely on. He will accompany you on every journey. He acts like an older sibling at times, worrying and taking care of his teammates.   7. Hi! I would like to introduce our indie game : The Horizon of Stars. The Horizon of the Stars is (Live2D) Visual novel game that is combined with shooting game. In a world where they can use the supernatural powers, high school students get into incident. Decades ago, mankind had found the new materials that can yield human to use supernatural powers. Only selected inborn children can use the powers, and they mostly choose to enter the military academy. The protagonist Eugene was only ordinary military school student, but he inevitably joins the military when the war begins. However, he encounters unexpected truth from the incidents.. *More synopsis & features beneath! Horizon of the Stars is visual novel and text adventure game. Here, we introduce you our characteristics. 1. Live2D. Every character in our game stays alive in the screen. They can blink their eyes, or smile, or breathe. Through using this technique, we are making our visual contents more animate. These moving is not made by video editing, but is by Live2D technology. 2. Shooting. Throughout The Horizon of Stars, Each character has to face the battle, to find their hidden secrets or, simply, to survive. Our game is turn-based shooting game. Player has attack & defense turns. 3. Text Adventure. Story flows only when you can find the clues from the scene. Through clicking the objects and talking to the people in the background, you can continue the investigation and find the clues from the scenes. keep your suspicion, never let your guard down! You are the one who can help main characters to figure out their ways. 4. Miscellaneous. There are the moments you have to decide whether to fight against the enemies, or run away. At the battle, your game control decides characters' battle skills and their fates. Enjoy other various game systems! Synopsis The protagonist Eugene enters the military academy with his supernatural power 'Guard'. However, nowadays he frequently has nightmare about his childhood. While the students in Military Academy still attend the classes, unexpected raid by giant gimmicks attacks the school. Although Eugene and his friends do not know what's going on, he has to fight against. While Eugene participates in the war, he even finds suspicious points on his close people.. Why does he have nightmare? what is the secrets that lies beyond the future? About Background Decades ago, mankind found the materials that they have not seen previously. While all the scholars have been vigorously discussed about materials, a great number of newborn babies were reported for their abnormalities: making jewel-like materials in their hands. Researchers managed meticulous examination on the babies. Researchers soon found out when they merge two materials, selected people can execute the supernatural powers. They called it ‘birthstone’. From that discovery, mankind have established a great development in every field, especially in science, and military. About Birthstone Only 0.1 percents of people born with the birthstone. Children who has their inborn talents are sent to organizations to educate their supernatural powers, and refine their birthstones. Through using their stones as media, they can execute supernatural powers. Supernaturals are divided into three categories: Attackers, Guardians, Amplifiers. The form of weapon is limitless, from swords to the dual wield pistons. They usually hold their stones in the form of accessories, and transform it to weapon when it’s necessary. However, battle planes can only be operated by inserting their stones. Military Academy Only top 0.1 percent inborn talent children enter National Military Academy. Eugene belongs to this school. Student usually joins the military right after the graduation. Relations Between Countries Heden (where Eugene belongs) and Sira have long history of the war. Nowadays, they have built the convivial relationship in various ways. However, when the ambassador was assassinated by the other, they quickly changed into combative relations. This incident influenced the relationships in extremely negative ways, that now they are about to raise the war. The Horizon of Three Seconds Enormous beam of light that covered the sky a decade ago. No one knows the exact reason for this phenomenon. *All these screenshots appear as real CG in gameplay.   8. TEASER TRAILER Hey! I'm Bee, an indie developer working on a game that I figured you guys would be interested in. This game started as what was to be a web comic, but later developed to fit into a visual novel style format. We're both students from Michigan hoping to pursue game development as a prospective career in the future. We're working on this project alongside a talented cast of voice actors to help make it a more immersive experience. Keizu is a visual novel style adventure about forest spirits, corrupt businesses, family heritage and a story of undying love. Some of the biggest inspirations for this title are game's like To The Moon and Phoenix Wright that feature unique adaptations of the classic VN genre. Keizu is inspired by the art direction and storytelling of the studio Ghibli films as well as that of other narratively driven adventure games such as Ori and The Blind Forest and Night In The Woods. The game has something for everyone featuring a story involving the main character Rowan's struggle to find her place in the world after a tragic accident leaves her fiance dead. When she feels hopeless and lost, the spirits of her ancestors help guide her back to finding herself. Rowan meets new friends, finds new hobbies and helps save the woods near her town from destruction in her journey to recovery. Keizu features full voice acting and a diverse cast of characters. Representation is an important factor in the game's development for us. I know some of you want to hear this so I'll just out and say it. It's gay Some features in the game include things like -Fishing -2D Side scrolling exploration segments featuring hand drawn art and tons of unique locations to see. -A diverse cast of characters and NPCs to meet as you venture through the town of Udosa. -Over 10 hours of content with more coming in DLC updates that will be free to Kickstarter backers upon the game's release. -A full length webcomic following the game's characters in their day to day lives in the same time span as the game's story to help broaden the game world. The game is in an early stage of development and should be fully completed by this time next year. When we started this project and up to now all development expenses have come out of pocket with myself working an extra job to help pay for it. Starting my Freshman year of college this upcoming fall semester, it's not realistic for us to continue doing this. To help aid the game's development, we're taking our game to kickstarter! It is a kinetic visual novel in terms of story, as there is only one ending. Game Design Document ★ Public Script ★ Concept Art Kotachi Asterio wants to help people that can’t fight for themselves. However, he isn't some sort of superhero- he can just see things other people can't. During the day, he goes to high school with his best friend, Ophi. At night, the two fight off specters, monsters that lurk in shadows and can harm people. Kotachi has been able to see specters since he was about 10. When his grandfather died, he was given a wooden box that was simply inscribed with “to whoever can grasp it”. Inside were a pair of white revolvers- however, his parents couldn’t see them, leading Kotachi to realize the revolvers were special. He finds that his revolvers are actually forged from the constellation Perseus, and can be used to fight of specters, monsters that fester in dark places. The game starts with Kotachi and his best friend, Ophi, fighting off specters when they stumble upon a talking fox who claims to be an Aligner, someone who fights specters, and makes the two boys her apprentices. They meet several other characters as they all train to become certified Aligners from C.O.I.N., an organization that employs Aligners to dispel and research specters. Throughout the game, it becomes apparent that some constellations actually embody human forms, and are a group known as the Zodiac- a group that was previously thought to be legend, as they haven’t been seen for decades. Kotachi is one of the few people in the world with a weapon strong enough to dispel the specters controlling each of the Zodiac, and thus can become their Protector, someone who shields the constellations from specters and is able to invoke their power in battle. ✩ Kotachi Asterio Kotachi almost always has a grin on his face and, when he isn’t being lazy, he’s typically upbeat. However, he’s not very outgoing, and Ophi is his only real friend until Vulpe comes along and forces him to meet new people. Kotachi would be perfectly content staying a nobody and destroying specters on his own time, as he hates change. He's a junior in high school and has no clue what his major in college will be- his backup plan is becoming a "professional" urban explorer. ✩ Ophi Lira Ophi is a very standoffish character who is both distrusting and generally doesn’t like the rest of the cast, save for Kotachi. However, aside from their “teacher”, Vulpe, Ophi is the most experienced in the group, as he’s been able to see specters “for as long as [he] can remember”. Even with Kotachi, though, there are things he doesn’t like to talk about- specifically his family, or lack thereof. However, through all of his rude and snide comments directed at Kotachi, Ophi does care about him. In game, Ophi is an optional love interest. ✩ Ayane Miu Ayane is seemingly cold and standoffish, but she doesn’t like people who waste her time or slack off. She is the tentative valedictorian of their class and also the incognito PTA president while also learning the ropes of running a national bank, her father's business. It's safe to say she doesn't exactly like to rest. ✩ Leos Coronil Leos tries to get along with everyone. He’s an easy going guy, but his calm nature makes him the target of bullying, specifically from football players who think he’s crazy for seeing specters. Within the group, he’s the median, and thinks more with his heart than with his brain. He’s the ace of the soccer team and prefers the company of people as opposed to being alone. ✩ Riko Asterio Riko is Kotachi’s adopted older sister. She used to be close with Kotachi when they were younger, but a failure to stay in touch or even visit after she moved into a dorm for high school caused the two to grow apart. Riko is mostly the opposite of her brother- she’s outgoing, vibrant, and constantly trying new things. She’s never still except when busy with work and loves to be around others. Most of all, she likes teasing Kotachi. ✩ Dania Truman Dania doesn’t get out a lot, not since her grandfather passed away. She used to volunteer at the C.O.I.N. outpost with him, healing Aligners, so when he passed away she kept at it, even if she became more reserved. Dania is timid and doesn’t talk a lot to strangers, but isn’t quiet- instead, she only talks a lot to people she’s comfortable being around because of her shyness. This is my newest project, Asterism. It's an RPG VN (i.e. an RPG with VN elements) that is being made in Ren'Py. It centers around Kotachi and the rest of the cast training and becoming certified Aligners, and eventually him becoming the Protector of the Zodiac. I've already had a few questions about it before, so note- this game is astronomy based, not astrology based. The main cast all use weapons forged from constellations such as Perseus, Serpens, Aquila, and more- each weapon was placed on Earth long ago by ancient powers. Each of the weapons can be upgraded. Later on, Kotachi begins rescuing members of the Zodiac from specters that have infected them- once he has successfully rescued a constellation, he is able to summon them to help fight off specters. The fights in the game are classic JRPG turn-based style and there are multiple dungeons in the game. As previously mentioned, there are some boys love elements in it, i.e. Kotachi can end up with a boy, but the story itself is very low on romance and it's optional. However, there is only one ending, so choices only change dialogue and some scenes. The word count so far is about 60k words, but the full game after dungeons will be about 10+ hours long. There will be a demo released sometime in 2019, but the full game will be commercial, around $15-20. Spectra is a Different Visual Novel that takes your expectation and throws them straight out of the window. When he wakes up three days later, he finds his best friend, the Crown Prince of Cordonia, at his bed side… and he is now a she. You both work together to try to hunt down the truth of the conspiracy against you as you fulfill your obligations as Castellan. Navigating both the Royal Court and the nobility, as well as Cordonia’s seedy criminal underbelly, you can discover a plot that stretches to the highest levels of Cordonian society that leaves you wondering, can you really trust anyone? The end of the world came right on schedule and showed no mercy. Only a few fortunate managed to escape the cataclysm on a remote and unknown island. This community subsequently spawned the first Pastor, the hierarch under whose government the new state grew and flourished with time. Eventually, new Pastors came, and with them changed the flock. Changed until the handmade paradise was stricken with the deafening thunderclap — a murder was committed. Then another one and another one… At that time arsons, cattle rustling and robberies began. Gradually, the darkness superseded the sunlight… Lambs grew weary of being laid under a hatchet, so they cried and crawled to their Pastor, begging the Father to hurriedly deal with the flayers, restore order in the common house. In this game, you're not a famous knight, but a good-for-nothing squire who's on a quest to find man's greatest pleasure. Getting the girl won't be easy though, since most of them are waaay out of your league! To make things worse: you have a few months left before this huge war happens, and the only thing you know is how to milk cows. Good luck cramming years worth of training into four months! If it's any consolation, you get a medal if you die. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No one believes that a lowly squire can save the world while banging – err, bagging – the girl of his dreams... but with a shitton of dumb luck, well... you might just prove them wrong! Welcome to the world of Love Esquire, and may the fertility god have mercy on your virginity. Nameable Hero – Whose name will these girls cry out during those scenes? You decide! 5 Dateable Waifus – More than just pretty faces, the ladies of Love Esquire have their own unique personalities, story arcs, and backstories! Turn-based combat with a twist – As a squire, you have a number of “unconventional” ways to assist your needy knight. Properly time your actions to unleash the full potential of your skills which are simply... out of this world! Manage your day – Allocate what little time you have in this world by forcing yourself to socialize or doing your job as a squire barely living on minimum wage. Git gud by raising stats – Stats will have an impact on your skills during combat, and they also affect your relationship with the girls. In other words, shape up to be the ideal man for the best results! Forge Relationships – Get to know your waifu on a personal level by being around her and talking about stuff. Sure, she’ll think you’re a creep at first, but persistence is key! As she eventually warms up to you, find out how there’s more to her than meets the eye. Multiple Endings – What’s waiting for your squire at the end of the journey? Make decisions that will end up great or turn out to be otherwise. Partially Voiced – So you can hear your waifus partially express their partially undying love for you! Mature Content – This game contains subjects and themes your parents warned you about as a kid. Moddable Content – The game will support simple modding on release. To be discussed in a future update. Original Soundtrack – We want you to experience the feels while playing this game, and our soundtrack will see to that! Having lived most of his life as a farm boy, you take control of the inexperienced and carefree Squire. Watch him grow to become the ideal man and overcome the various challenges he's yet to face. His fate (and virginity) rests in your hands. Depending on how smooth the development goes, we're looking at a late-2018 to mid-2019 release for Love Esquire. It will be distributed on Steam and Itch.io (Windows/Mac/Linux), followed by a mobile release (Android/iOS) a few months after. We don't have any plans for a console release, but that's something we might possibly consider once the game is out. The Letter was a successful Kickstarter project and a highly-rated game; it is our validation to everyone that we're not only capable of completing this project, but also delivering it up to standards.
