Kirisu is perplexing. I don't like tsundere much at all, but part of me argues that she isn't a tsundere, just a stubborn woman. Her excitement for science with Okabe is infectious and she generally is a fun character. That particular depiction isn't a great one, but I still like her despite tsundere character traits. 8/10

6.5/10 Interesting design, semi-loli, pony tail is a bonus. Not sure why the classroom is so dark. Pls dont be lewd.
10/10 Mecha waifu good hair, good legs, best of the thread by far.

Still looks Key-ish but not bad. Loli-esque though. No bueno. I appreciate the bow tie, however.
3/10. Because we needed more balloon tit onee-sama looking characters in the world? At least her eyes are unique.
Impossible to rate. Words cannot do this magnificent beast justice.
1/10. Reminds me too much of high school english class.
9/10. Look, I love anything that resembles Mel Kishida's artwork. Dark hair, soft appearance, pastel coloring. A winning combination. Having glasses doesn't hurt at all.
4/10. I was expecting something not so generic looking from you to be honest.
2/10. Have you ever seen art from europe during the medieval time period and wondered to yourself, "did they even know how to fucking draw?" That's how I feel any time I see Oyari's artwork.
6.5/10 Interestingly enough, her eyes appear to share the same style as Leiji Matsumoto's eye style. I like the bright eye color, though I'm not too big on her hair style. That said, she certainly is a decent choice. +1 for the choker gem matching her earrings and eye color.
0/10 All of us are now collectively dumber thanks to this meme picture.
0/10 Smoking is bad for you.
4/10 Lucia was at the bottom of my Rewrite girl list, even below the token loli with different eye colors. Her personality is annoying, as is the case with most tsunderes. Her face also suffers dearly from Key syndrome in that it looks utterly stupid. +2 for dark hair and blue eyes.
8/10 Of all the garbage in Grisaia, I always kept a soft spot for Michiru and she was the reason I quit reading the VN as I felt the treatment of her character, a character clearly suffering from a mental disability, was atrocious and disgusting. She genuinely cares about people and is adorably cute. I still fondly remember how happy I was for her at the start of her route when she thought she was going on a date with Yuuji, and how upset I was when he forced her to run instead. It wasn't funny, it was just cruel for no reason at all. She deserved better writing.

I'm glad Ren dropped the project. Those people deserve nothing after the way they acted during that fiasco. The shit they sent to him was just indicative of the disgusting nature of the VN community.

As for the post, my experience with /r/visualnovels was nothing but unpleasant but that could be said for almost every VN community I've seen save my time on Fuwanovel generally. Unfortunate that it dragged you through hell and back, but I'm glad you came out of it and that you are better today.

Not that I disagree with you much, but somehow I knew when I saw that you responded to this thread it would be filled with .

As for me, Suba Hibi was one of those VNs where for nearly half a year it changed my perspective and outlook on life in a really positive direction. I couldn't describe it in any sort of comprehensible way, but Minakami's philosophy of "幸福に生きよ" (Live towards Happiness) really manifested in my attitude towards life for a while. However eventually it began to fade. But for a legit half a year I listened to the full OP of Suba Hibi at least once a day. It always put me into a positive mentality.

Yeah VNs ruined my life and made me into a salty individual that hates everything now. They frustrate me because of how often potential is wasted, interesting worlds, characters, and ideas all wasted for sex scenes, shoe horned romance, and character tropes to make weebs buy them.

when the art is better than the character. 5/10. At least this saber understands armor. Not unique in any way. Loyal though I guess.
Kanan went to the Itaru Hinoue school of art? Find me a better picture for a better response.

i'm solidbuttman, longtime member of this here website. After many months away (like a year or two?) I'm starting to get back into VNs again and might even read one. A+ if you ask me. I like old space anime, realistically drawn anime titties, and history. I am a couple months away from graduating university and am writing a big ass thesis on some boring american civil war tax crap. I mostly play Final Fantast XIV because i am irredeemable.

I basically recognize no one here anymore so its like joining a whole new website.

solidbatman reacted to Darklord Rooke in Consistent entertainment/immersion vs slower buildup into really awesome scenes
It should be noted that to have a slow build up, the story needs to be consistently ... well, built up. Stories that dick around for 30 hours can be fun, but it's hard to describe that as "building the story".
Usually I do enjoy a slow build up, where the world is gradually peeled back or new facets and skills of the characters slowly revealed that sort of thing. But only if the scenes had purpose and weren't just "hijinks".

Biggest reason it is like that is because it is a massive time sink for very little gain. Lead admin is a med student, many other site leaders are enrolled at universities or pursuing careers. There were many large projects in the works, but because the site admins work for free (Fuwanovel operates at a loss even with donations) there is very little incentive to dedicate hours upon hours creating content that would fulfill the many goals this site has.

For example, most of the steam curation team has left to do other things with their lives. I and Palas had been working on a project to create an OELVN update tracker, but the amount of time we put into it was pretty heavy, and on top of that, half of the OELVN teams I contacted never once got back to me and hid updates behind a kickstarter paywall.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle facing Fuwanovel is that the leadership that does stick around and loves VNs ends up going to work in the VN industry to actually get paid.

The simple fact of the matter is that Fuwanovel is at this point simply a community with popular VNTS updates. I highly doubt any new projects are in the pipeline, so the site is in a what you see is what you get phase. It really is difficult to dedicate time to building these projects while neglecting a million other things in your personal life that you would rather deal with.
