Kenshin_sama got a reaction from Plk_Lesiak in Fall 2019 Anime Discussion
Alright, so, we're halfway through the season now, so I'll just leave a quick update here.
Mairimashita Iruma-kun - Last time I commented on this anime, I only watched the first episode, and I'm impressed with how much it improved in the second episode and continued to maintain its enjoyability throughout. The characters are endearing, the scenario writing is on-point, and there are no annoying gags that bog things down. It's not quite the best comedy anime I've watched, but it's definitely up there! I'm really interested in seeing how things develop with Azazel, lol.
Dr. Stone - Still watching this from last season, and it hasn't lost my interest at all yet. I like how the story is able to incorporate elements of scientific development with elements of battle shounen without making a complete mess of it. And seriously, if I had watched this anime as a kid, I might've been more motivated to pay better attention in science class, lol.
Hero Aca 4 - The anime isn't doing anything different from what it usually does, and I am absolutely okay with this. What makes MHA so damn fun to watch is that it takes a simple story and loads it with emotions. For this season, it seems that MHA is quickly setting things up with a heroine whose situation is already pulling on my heartstrings. This is gonna be a real tearjerker.
Yeah, it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I started falling behind after episode 6, and decided to just not catch up, lol. No one in the anime club I joined seems to like it that much, either.

Oh hey, you're watching this too! I thought I'd be the first to bring it up here, but it seems you beat me to it, lol.
Iruma is kinda like cross between the protagonist in Rosario+Vampire (human in a monster school) and Hayate no Gotoku (unlucky chap who gets sold off by his parents), which I thought was a hilarious mix. So far I really like the dynamics of this anime; the art is tasteful and the humor is quite fun, too. I'm glad I gave this anime a shot.
And of course, I'll be watching the 4th season of Boku no Hype Academia. Last season ended with an absolute bang, so my anticipation for the rest of this season is going to be up there. Nothing terribly exciting so far, but I do like where things are going.

And... I'm done with the true ending. Dear God...
I'll share my complete thoughts on a different occasion, but my general impressions are that as a piece of storytelling, I've enjoyed it slightly less than euphoria. It's generally better-written and more cohesive (no incomprehensible weirdness or obvious plotholes), but also so utterly relentless in its fanservice that it absolutely killed the pacing even in the most dramatic and interesting moments. Also, many of the scenes are just such hollow fanservice... There's a whole witch character that serves no other function beyond being abused in arbitrally-placed scenes. There's also a whole side-arc branching from the first chapter that is nothing but literal hours of unrelated futanari porn. Why isn't it just a bonus scenario? It absolutely murders the flow of the story. You can say that's the point of the whole experience, but after a while it just stops being a good excuse when the game also tries to tell a story. It's one thing to have tons of h-scenes, it's another inserting one literally every 5-8 minutes, no matter what's going on in the plot. It's mind-numbing through its sheer intensity, and I imagine it could be so even for some people that get off from guro. And with just how much time is spend on plain porn, the core story... Is actually quite short and simple.
On the other hand, I have to once more applaud the quality of the writing, including h-scenes. If I ever felt sick from something, it was the descriptions rather than visuals. The latter, for the most part, really did little for me... I think after euphoria I just stopped reacting to this kind of extreme porn whatsoever. Plus there were like three scenes that could be vaguely described as romantic, and I think I was just too numb from the guro imagery by that point to enjoy those in any real way.
In summary, if I had some hesitation in calling euphoria a nukige, I have no doubt in this case. It you're looking for an ultra-violent porn game, it's definitely extremely high-quality and full of content. If you're looking for a dark story, maybe just go for a chuunige... 6/10
PS The first ending is my headcanon, a lot more fun than the true one.

what an asinine remark. the guy merely warned about how shitty the pay is, and the constant cost cutting measures affecting quality. if virtue signalling is "please pay me something livable" and then leaving when the company refuses, then consider me a virtue signaler. if all the employees just keep their mouths shut then nothing changes. If companies like SP and MG are unable to survive without worker exploitation, then they deserve to go under. You seem like the kind of person that would have defended the government for their actions during various union busting exercises. After all, workers were virtue signaling and taking their problems into the public sphere by demanding 8 hour work days.

Kenshin_sama got a reaction from Mr Poltroon in Fuwanovel Confessions
Confession: Hello, everybody. I'm back from my month-long break from the interwebs. It was something I decided to do after reading Digital Minimalism and deciding to adopt a more focused lifestyle that doesn't involve compulsively browsing the internet, and so far it's going well! I'm able to engage in more productive activities to cope with anxiety, I'm learning how to avoid information overload, and I'm not allowing myself to be manipulated by new-generation technology.
For the longest time I've been relying too heavily on quick fix life hacks to get my life together, and the book I read suggested that it's not enough to tackle the issues of hyper-connectivity. I need to establish a philosophy on tech so that I can maintain a greater lifestyle balance, and the book has some excellent advice in regards to that. One of those tips involved taking a 1-month hiatus from all optional technology so that I can practice better judgment for when I reintroduce them into my life.
So far, I've decided to drop facebook entirely. I don't feel particularly close to anyone there except for my family, and I can just call them when I need to talk to them. I'm going to strictly limit my use of YouTube to educational use only. I've decided I don't want to use Discord anymore either (sorry, @mitchhamilton!); I just can't bring myself to use it moderately.
I am going to restrict my time on Fuwanovel to 30 minutes and turn off all notifications as well. If I'm expecting replies to something, I'll just go directly to the thread. The issue with notifications is that they invoke addictive tendencies for me, and I just don't want to deal with them anymore. That said, I've gotten so much emotional support here that I just can't bring myself to leave completely. I wouldn't have even gone to therapy if it weren't for this very thread, and it was thanks to therapy that I even managed to start college at all. I still love the community here too. It wasn't hard to decide that I needed this forum in my life, even if it does seem a little odd for a minimalist, lol.
Anyways, I'm happy to finally be back here. I missed you guys!
(And that's it for my 30 minutes, lol. I'll be back on tomorrow~)

Yeah, I feel ya on Accel World. As far as production standards go, it blew SAO (at least the earlier series) completely out of the park and was a joy to watch. It's the first series that comes to mind when I think of anime that need a continuation. Unfortunately, it's seems like Sunrise is mostly focusing on Gundam and Love Live nowadays. It's probably not gonna happen.
Yakusoku no Neverland - This anime has a mean cliffhanger ending. If I weren't a big fan of manga in general, I'd have probably read its source material by now. I'm still considering it, actually.
I'd say 90% of Madhouse's anime need continuations...
Kokoro Connect - One can dream, right?
Made in Abyss - I was highly invested in this series by the end of it, but the ending was not the least bit satisfying.
Panty and Stocking - Not that I have a real craving for this, but I'd definitely like to watch more just for the lulz.
Binbougami ga - This anime was so funny it actually hurt a little, lol. I would seriously love to see a sequel series for this.

For serious answer, I guess there's both of Nine and Saku Saku uniform, Hoshiori, and Fureraba. By the way most of the male uniform here is usually quite similar in term of design, which is understandable seeing that the staffs would likely design the uniform for the heroines first and then male students.
