  1. Wait, there are people that turn off background music? O.o'

  2. That is soo much BS, humans share 82% of their DNA with Dogs.

  3. If you do that for Hapymaher, I'll crucify you. I usually just use the music in the game. The exception is when the music really does just suck, like Tsukihime...

    What are you playing?

Currently playing Little Busters Converted Edition on my PSP. Perhaps, it's finally the time to learn baseball rules...

  5. I generally agree with most of that, ChaosRaven. Except that Route B spoils one of the central mysteries of Route A. Route A is much more effective if that mystery is still mysterious, and I think that Route A is in general the stronger of the two. Mostly because Route B is very slow compared to route A. It probably would have been better shortened. End result, I prefer the reading order that doesn't weaken what I consider the stronger of the two routes. A hypothetical altered route order, where the introductory parts of route B take place first, then route A (with the remainder of route B mixed in as flashbacks) kicks off, would probably have worked better. (With some in media res intro to avoid having the beginning drag too much.) But that's not what we got.

  6. I have solved the issue myself. For anyone else coming up with this problem, you need to download the patch from this link: http://www.minatocarnival.com/support/tsujidou.html Pic attatched, you will click the orange button. After that, use the AlphaROMdiE.exe on the game's .exe. It should work perfectly after that.

  7. Confession: My aunt posted some online test result saying she was only 4% bitch. I decided it wasn't worth it to respond to that.

  8. Demi-chan is surprisingly a great show! I was a bit cautious when I started watching it since I didn't have any prior knowledge of the series except for that the focus was monster girls, so I expected ecchi all over the place (not that it's a bad thing btw). Really great characters with each getting just the right amount of screen time for each of them.

  10. Even if it's paticularly grating, I leave it on (though I tend to drop the volume to about 50% - 40%). It's typically composed to go along with specific scenes, and helps set a tone. If I read F/SN without the music - I'd be missing out on a huge portion of the experience. Music generally sets a mood in any enviorment in life, and VNs and videogames are no different. a tragic scene without music may not seem as tragic, a fight scene might feel less exciting, a scene that's meant to unnerve you might not even phase you without the tense/creepy music, etc. Nukiges are abit different, and usually have generic garbage playing (with some exceptions). But any real VN worth it's salt? You should allow the music to work into you subconciously while you read~ It's not a VN, but let me provide a good example of music playing a huge role in a scene (you mentioned enjoying W3's music, so you'll probably recognize this right away, heh): (starts at 10:48) It's not just about "something playing in the background" - it's actually a device to help tell the story - and I feel it's the same in VNs. There's typically a purpose behind each track. (obv. with some exceptions)

  11. In some VNs, the soundtrack makes half the experience, so i would never turn it off

  13. 'Lout' isn't slang. If you look it up in the Merriam Webster (the dictionary Yanks like to use) you'll see they regard it as a normal noun. Words they regard as slang are marked as such. The usage of 'lout' doesn't seem to have decreased much over time either. If you consider it to be slang, you'd have to consider words like 'boor' to be slang also. Lot also isn't slang, it's quite 'proper' (at least as much as 'folk' is.) I also prefer 'you lot' to 'you guys' (which has gender problems these days) or 'you folks' which just sounds like you're trying to hard. Actually you don't hear 'folk' as much outside of America, so if you're trying to find more geographically neutral language then I'd stay away from 'folk'. I should also point out that I live in Australia and both 'lout' and 'lot' are common. Same in NZ. Although I prefer all 3 over the dreadful 'youse' ... thank you muchly whoever did that. I'm betting it was those descended from the Latin languages >:c At the end of the day, all of these suggestions (lot, guys, people, folks, ... youse) are just ways to pluralise 'you'. There are tons of them and I don't regard one as better or more proper than the others (even though I regard one as worse than the rest.) Not slang, just a worldwide language phenomenon where people try to correct what they see as a deficiency in the word 'you' (no second-person plural.)

  14. You probably just need a break. We've all been there. After trying to get through Muv Luv for some seven months, I ended up not reading practically anything for six months or so. I also felt like maybe the medium wasn't for me after all. Then I happened to pick up the first chapter of Higurashi and that got me out of that slump. If you're looking for a masterpiece, The House In Fata Morgana is sublime.

  15. You need a scale of priorities, and you need to organise yourself when consuming media, pretty much. If I feel like taking a walk, not even all the manga/VN/anything in the world can stop me. Imagine if I had a girlfriend to hang out with! (I've already had those) To make a free quote, "more than a jewel, love lights up everything" (Nadia: the Secret of Blue Water).

  16. Hi. Just in time for the game's release. http://reviews.fuwanovel.net/2016/04/27/root-double-before-crime-after-days-xtend-edition/ I couldn't find a decent promo image in English. I have no idea what that's saying but hey, whatever. I give this game 3/5 stars. While I think it's a bit overhyped and overrated, it still has some good stuff going for it and some of you people who are huge zero escape and infinity fans might like it anyways.
