zoom909
Well I'm inclined, but somewhat doubtful. I guess I will not pre-order but will wait to find out more about how the voices, BGM, length, routes, etc. turn out

I guess I will not pre-order but will wait to find out more about how the voices, BGM, length, routes, etc. turn out Well you can always torrent it and check out for yourself if it is something worth supporting or not. That's what most people do anyway.
Darkshine
Fanservice may sell for some people but it's not gonna get me all hyped up to play, I can't believe this is not an 18+ game. Erogamer

sanahtlig
Why does Mangagamer even come up in this discussion? If they're not localizing the game, their role is insignificant. They're just distributing it--I'm pretty sure they're not funding it, so I don't even think they should be considered a publisher. The only player that really matters in an original English VN is the developer. Would you praise or blame Walmart for carrying a game that you liked or didn't like? Did Sekai Project even contribute in any significant way to this title? Did they fund it or provide resources for development? I believe that they help found it or something, they are put as publishers on VNDB. It was released yesterday, so anyone here played it yet? If anyone has a copy could he/she be kind to upload it somewhere, I would like to give it a try.
sanahtlig
That forum is a disgrace--looks like the /b/ crowd showed up in force. If it's the official forum, I feel sorry for the developers that have to put up with that trash. Small developers really should release a demo for the games. It's asking a lot to have someone fork out cash for an unknown developer.

solidbatman
This thing has creeped into the number 10 best seller spot on Steam right now. I swear, Planetarian better become the number one best seller on Steam now that this crap has happened.
Nosebleed
I'm not going to bother even if they would give it to me for free, lol. This is why we can't have nice things. ... i'm so playing it tomorrow. Maybe i'll stream it.
RusAnon
I'm not going to bother even if they would give it to me for free, lol.According to VNDB, this is OELVN rather than translation. Did they hire random 14 y.o. weeaboo to write scenario?I'm really disappointed, since I love works of this artist.

It's asking a lot to have someone fork out cash for an unknown developer. I'd say this game is the closest thing to softcore porn on Steam but that would be a lie. Look at 90% of Skyrim screenshots and tell me with a straight face that it's nowhere near as bad as this game. This is why we can't have nice things. ... i'm so playing it tomorrow. Maybe i'll stream it. I've been playing it for a while. It's utterly terrible and the fan-service never stops. That said, if you removed the cleavage of the screen you'd be watching some great looking backgrounds." It's worth buying for the lulz, specially compared to how something like Kara No Shoujo or Cross Channel is written. Welcome to literally every anime game board on Steam. It's also like that for games like Ys and the less we think about how the Grisaia NO Kajitsu forums are going to look the better
Atsuki_Kimidori
I find the replies in the glossy and shiny breast thread saying that the artist have never seen real breast funny because I know the artist and she is a girl, lol.
Decay
This thing has creeped into the number 10 best seller spot on Steam right now. I swear, Planetarian better become the number one best seller on Steam now that this crap has happened. This is why I think people who claim VNs can't benefit from being on Steam have no clue on what they're talking about. There's a starved niche there that will buy up any piece of garbage placed in front of them if it's a VN and/or has an anime art style. The Steam userbase is actually incredibly diverse and not everyone who finds this kind of thing appealing is actually tuned into proper VN communities. So things like this happen. killerjuan77
Why buy something bad for "lulz" if you could use these 10$ to support someone doing GOOD games? You are talking with a guy that owns Birdemic ON BLU-RAY! I like kitschy stuff and this one will also help me writing, since just about every line is wrong and believe me, that's going to help me when I write scripts. It's also just about every VN and ecchi stereotype rolled into a single product but it takes itself WAY too seriously.
InvertMouse
The game is number ten on Steam? Man (O_O).................... I also do feel like there is a crowd hungering for VNs on Steam. They just keep quiet or vent on other boards. That is why it feels like on Steam's official board, there is no love for VNs at all. Well, I have yet to have any luck with Greenlight, so I am no expert (;w;).
Mephisto
Well we just found out how to sell VNs in the west. 1. Make cheap VNs with ecchi stuff in it 2. put it on steam 3. ??? 4. profit Lewd stuff sells pretty well apparently since this is on the front page. And there appear to be enough otakus (i use this term loosely) in the world to sustain this market quite well. Just need to get your product to them.
