Well, i wouldn't call them tsundere as much as complete bitches though. Although they do show the usual tsundere traits now and then.

Are we talking punches to the face followed his head dunked in a toilet bowl here or is it your standard verbal abuse because they secretly love him but dont want him to know that?

Constant verbal abuse (quite harsh, sometimes, too) with absolutely no breaks for a few hours. Physical abuse on occasion. And a lot of unfairness for what is essentially a gentleman.

So, tsunderes :makina:

Hehe, well it seems a lot of people doesn't like this, though the overall impression I got from the summary and the general setting I think I would like it so I´ll add it to my list and give it a go eventually. The engrish isn't really a problem for me, (I read grisaia no Meiykuu with nothing but bad machine translations. No furigana or anything. Literally felt like dying at certain parts.)

Only done Euka and Ryuu so far. On Tsumugo now.

Holy shit what a two faced hypocrite Eika is. She goes on and on about Chouji being a pervert and even kick Chouji and Ryou out of the house because she doesn't want any "lewdness" in the house.... Meanwhile she rubs herself all night and at all places.. She needs to learn to shut up so that she wouldn't look like a complete idiot if she was ever found out. Ryou's route was pretty bad.. While she partly warmed up to

Chouji towards the end, but she still kept her abusive personality to the end. I like it when the dere switch if i can call it that is switched on somewhere along the routes. I'm not into s/m either so... Well, i won't call the route terrible, but it wasn't remotely good either.

The heroines aren't your standard tsunderes, they seriously all come off as spiteful people that just want to beat the crap out of you whenever they see your face. You are literally considered a cockroach to them and the only time they show hints of love is when they've beaten the crap out of you and then pretend to be "sorry" but just proceed to add insult to injury later on. I know sometimes the protagonist deserves it, but sometimes they just want excuses to beat you up, it's completely ridiculous and stops being funny after the first 10 times.

I don't know how anyone can lump these girls in the "just tsunderes" category, I legitimately thought this was a VN about bullying when I first read it because that's all the heroines do to the protagonist.

The common route is a hollow shell of nothingness, I don't know why it's there other than introducing the characters and giving you a basic plot to branch off of.

The heroine's routes barely change from the common route because the heroines keep being extremly rude people, way past the "just tsundere" line, they literally come off as hating you at times, not that hate where you can see the love behind it, just pure hate. The game tries to make up for all the shit the heroines have done by throwing them into h-scenes with you where suddenly your japanese chinpo makes them go all sweet and shy (quality writing right here), but I genuinely don't think the pain that comes before that is worth the effort.

Maybe I'm the only person that was amazed at how horrible of a person each heroine in this game really is, but even if I forget about their personalities, all the stories are awful and don't feel connected in the slightest, everything just feels thrown in and makes absolutely no sense in terms of narrative.

Saying this game is "below average" is being extremly kind, imo.

Well, i haven't read Tane's route, but Chouji was pretty out of character in Ryou's route. Chouji is a loser in every regard, and you don't transform from a superpowered delinquent child to a wimy loser like that. I prefer the Ryou route Chounji of course, but the problem is that that is only a small part of the vn which is why i said it's out of character.

I completely agree. The creators of this VN failed spectacularly at trying to make this about tsundere girls loving you, but not knowing how to show it.  Well, i won't lump Tane and Tsumugu in with Ryou and Eika though. Tane is pretty sweet and dumb, and Tsumugu is bullying you by teasing you. I don't mind those two so much to be honest.

Yeah but even Tsumugu's teasing goes a bit too far.

I agree that out of all of them, Tane is the least horrible because she doesn't come off as hating you and tends to sand up for you, but the rest of the girls end up dragging her along with their schemes, this coupled with her airheadedness kind of ruins her character in the long run a bit.

As for Tsumugu, I think she goes too far as well, honestly, but she's more of a mental bully rather than a physical bully, so maybe that's why her impact is not as felt. What ruined her for me was her route though, it was the most boring one (I mean, they were all bad, but this one was really meeehhh).

Well, so far i've only disliked Ryou after a route completion. Eika was good, but who on earth would want a nymphomaniac girlfriend? I guess some, but when the novelty of your relationship wears of then you'll be in for some hurt.

And Tsumugu has been a bit of a bitch too, but i don't really mind her.. Worst must be the porn.. Ho, i would take some revenge if someone did that to me.

I thought her being a nymphomaniac was the only fun part of the route lol. Would have made for a great nukige (which ultimately is what her route feels like anyway).

Yes, sure it was fun reading the route. But i still think about the outlook of their future and such when a route ends.

I dunno why people think it's boring, but i just finished Tsumugu's ending and it was the perfect ending. It's the best married with child scene i've seen thus far in a vn, but i haven't really seen all that many though. The route had it's problems, namely the vanishing of every other character and storytelling majorly through flashbacks. Imo, storytelling through flashbacks is the worst kind of storytelling.

How long are routes?
I finished Tsumugu, and it was really bad written (what the hell they thinking with that nonchronologicall narration) piece of crap, but at least it was short. So how are the others? I've seen in walkthrough that there are much more choices, so much more text to read too, I guess?

They're all of fairly similar length so what you read in Tsumugu's route is the same amount of text you'll read in other routes.

They're also all shit.

So i started this.. 3 days ago.

I regret immediatelly not having read reviews about this first.  I have never been so godamn infuriated by a common route untill this game.
This is utter maneur. Rotten dog feces.

I literally started skipping gags and sketchIes or w/e the authors had in mind with some of the senseless scenes that contribute 0 to character growth or understanding.
I can't understand what they were trying to do with the "tsundere characters", that non stop go beyond verbal abuse and just literally insult the protagonist. I would just leave
the house the first 2 or 3 days if i had to put up with 10% of the common route showing the mc getting spit on scene afte scene. I really got infuriated after some time. My god would i smack some bitches.

And the jokes yeah most were funny, but then it got super repetitive and just went into stereotypical lewd scenes or gags that really lost any kind of appeal with the poor introduction into them and recycling.
The only save interesting point so far was a certain highschool at night scene which actually built up some tension and sparked my interest for a few minutes. Then they just managed to throw it out the window in a couple of scenes with nonsensical jokes. Plus the scene transition was too random. It looked like they copy different ideas from the scene writers, jumboed em up together and just put em there to have content.

3/10 common route and at this time i hope the character routes actually have something to them because i've read nukiages with better comon route than this horse defecation of a prologue.
Unfortunatelly i am a "kylo ren" kinda of man to always finish what i start. May god have mercy on me.

Would recommend vivedly avoiding this, it is really not worth the time wasten up till this point.

will edit if the actual routes give me a reason to do so.

Edit : and all those fucking kicks to the balls of chouji, how the fuck he didn't get impotent?
Edit 1.1v: Well, i guess "how to tame a ryou" was funny in it's on way, 5/10 , kinda short and once again random.  Honestly i don't think i can give an unbiased opinion right now, common route has just made me hate this game too much.

can I just say I have never been as entertained by a vn as much as I was by this one? don't get me wrong most of the story is trash but the girls are just way to funny, granted I only played the cousin and the sister routes but they gave me some much needed laughs, I should probably finish all the routes

Onigase's would be the best... everything-wise, really.

As for Tsumugu's, I thought the way it was presented and delivered was hilarious. Like, bloody brilliant. However, it seems the method may not be particularly popular. Much like the game.
