Government propaganda in visual novels

Way to unearth an old topic. I remember posting harsh stuff in there too. Not really proud of my lack of tact back then =o

Still fun to keep as part of history though!

Don't feel bad about what you said, you were correct. :) But reading through this article really pissed me off, (I can't stand people who deny global warming). I kind of wish it wasn't unearthed as I feel I just wasted my time and emotional well being for no good reason.

To be honest I don't even know how I got to this thread, and I didn't read through the thread before posting, so I just posted and didn't realize it was ancient and dead. lol. (I didn't even know this thread existed, first time I saw it despite being around when it happened x_x)

Wait, did a joke really prompt you into such a rant? No matter how I look at it, the Tunafish Man was a parody of a kids' show, which is precisely the reason why the propaganda jokes were in there. Why on earth would you take them at face value?

EDIT: Whoops, I just now looked at the date of the first post. Now I feel dumb. ;_;

I started out by reading the first page and getting really worked up.. then I came to the 3rd page and realized it was from ages ago, and people are just having fun in this thread now. *puts away megaphone and pitchfork* Ahh this is so much better~

I won't talk about thigs i'm not 100% sure.

And unless anybody here is a specialist i don't think any debate on climate could be seriously done.

Back to the original topic, which was a little strange to start with.

I don't think "propaganda" should be made a big deal of (If it was really intended to be so).

It's all about your reaction to it.

Precisely. The point is, I was making a confusion between the fact "Temperature is rising due to human activity" (which some people reject) and the theory that explains the how and why of this phenomenon (which is also rejected by different people for different reasons).

I know, I'm just clarifying because it isn't easy even for native speakers. ^^

Oh, and while I was checking to see if anyone posted the recent xkcd comic about climate change, which someone did, I was reminded of this pic.

Funny fact, the word theory works in the exact same way in portuguese.

Debate on grand subjects, endless nitpicking on words, derailment, a bit of spam, troll and flame, funny internet pictures...

We only need a cat gif and this thread will be internet in a nutshell.

Eh, I'll probably lock it in a while. It'll go down in history after that.
