  1. You can choose multiple answers Votes are not public What kind of romance is your cup of tea? Anyone here who does not like romance?
  2. Hey Guys! So I was Watching Shigatsu No Kimi uso The other day and I came across a situation I almost never find myself in. I cried. Now, I'm not an extremely sensitive person so I obliviously don't think this is something to be overlooked . My point being is that it is so hard to find a really good anime that would Touch a person enough to make them cry. I've watched load of anime and of course not all of them are going to be Dramatic enough to make a person cry. Only two Anime that i've watched have been able to do this. Namely: Clannad Season 2 and Shigatsu no Kimi uso. Have you ever watched a Anime where you found yourself fighting back tears ? Let us know what us know all about it here For all the Drama and Romance fanatics !
  3. Hello Everyone at Fuwanovel, its me Novel21. I want to talk about Yu-Gi-Oh anime serie and I have question for it. Here is my question. Does somerbody know where i can find Yu-Gi-Oh anime in subtile? And beside question part, I want to hear what there think about Yu-Gi-Oh. Lets Disscusion about Yu-Gi-Oh start. Best regards Novel21
  4. Minna-san konban wa! I wanted to ask which anime genre ís your favourite one? Do you pay attention to genre and are there any genres that you dislike?
  5. So, I've been looking for a good romance anime and I happen to pass by White Album 2. The story was very good. But it hasn't ended in the anime apparently. Luckily, I have found a good review of the Closing Chapter of its Visual Novel counter part and I loved how the story has played out for both heroines. I was hoping to find another good one since I also finished Clannad's anime and its really amazing and then I remembered, "oh I haven't watched White Album yet I watched White Album 2". So I started watching it. For starters, i have only watched the first 13 episodes and haven't watched the second season just yet. When I was watching the first episodes, my impression is "oh, really.. right". In other words, it was a maa.. maa.. anime. When I got into the half of it, the protagonist, Touya, showed some really disturbing act where he doesn't even know how Yuki feels. And to the point where he had to cheat on her. If I were the man out there, I wouldn't have fallen for such a cliched seduction. I can only sigh while watching the show. Then he got all moody with his senpai to the point where he confessed that he had feelings with her just to be rejected. Oh man, I really wanted to punch the guy and he made it even worse by having illicit relationship with Yuki's manager to the point of having sex in his apartment. Just how much an asshole could he be? And now that Rina told him about the letter Yuki wrote for him, he got all emotional?! Argh it's so vexing. Why didn't he believe in her? Why did he fall into those seductions? Why can't he understand her? So, I hope you'll help me get motivated in watching the second season, for those who have finished the anime and also for those who have finished it's VN. Is it really worth it for its second season? Will it be open ended like the first 13 episodes or will it end on a closing note? Please help me get motivated on this. I could have not watched the last episodes but I tried just because I think that it could be saved, well at least for me. Tell me your thoughts about it. Thanks
  6. I want to watch new anime and I have question about some anime, I watched on youtube. How is Kimi ni Todoke? And how is Boku ga ita? I'm really curius about these anime. Are they any good?
  7. hello fellow fuwans im back from my overly long hell of a vacation at my familys and here to propose a new project i'm starting i hope you take the time to read this and if you're interested in taking part let me know in a comment. fuwa masterpiece theater ok the concept for this is a group viewing of anime and chat . i'll be hosting the stream on my steam with a dedicated chat for everyone who watches to chat with each other during the stream. the choices of anime will be listed in 3 main categories they will be. (classic anime: these are time honored anime series movies and ovas that have left an impact on the otaku fandom you know those shows that whenever someone makes a recommendations list usually appear on the list somewhere. second will be genre defining/redefining titles: which are anime that either helped define or expand in a meaningful way an entire genre of anime, and finally overlooked titles: these are anime that are not as well known or as often spoken of as most series). if this works out and people enjoy it eventually we will have theme viewings such as cherry blossom festival or holiday anime as well. the way this will work is by vote ill put up a list of 3 in each category that i recommend and then 3 will be selected for each category that the group suggests and then there will be a one week voting period so everyone gets the chance to place a vote after a week i will take 1 or 2 days to prepare things and then we will hold the viewing, now if a series or a multipart ova wins the vote then the viewings will take place over multiple days. then after the title is finished another round of voting will take place for the next choice in viewing. if you're interested in joining the fuwa masterpiece theater when you make your comment below feel free to submit your recommendations please limit to one per category and label what category you're recommending it as so that they can be looked through and added up for me to put through the first list. my picks for the first parts of the list: classic maison ikkoku devilman serial experiments lain genre defining ranma 1/2 (ecchi martial art romcom) welcome to the nhk (dark comedy) Otaku no Video (mockumentary) overlooked Strait Jacket Chocotto Sister Comic Party hope you find the idea fun and that we get some group members.
  8. My first ever VN was Go Go Nippon, which got me hungry for more VNs, especially Eroges (I think that's the term, I'm new). I played Katawa Shoujo and it was literally the best thing in my life ever, and I was wondering if anybody new of any more VNs like Katawa Shoujo. Preferably in English. I loved the story, I loved how I could choose between girls, which I believe is common in dating sims, but I'm not sure yet. I bought If My Heart Had Wings off of steam but it's horribly censored and the engrish is bad. I tried to install the patch, didn't work, I torrented the game and tried to patch that, and finally, I downloaded a "prepatched version" of the game off of a Russian site, but even then I could somehow load my old saves from the steam version (which is uninstalled), leading me to believe that somehow it didn't work? I mean, every time I think I've patched it, the gallery works just fine, and upon entering Flying Fish Manor the girl who everyone else freaks out about being naked is still fully clothed. So I don't know what to do. Anyways, this ended up being a desperate plea to russanon, but back to the initial topic: TL;DR, Something like Katawa Shoujo If that's possible? I want a dating sim with deep, unique, characters and dirty scenes Good story would be appreciated too. Thanks for the help people! I'm really new here.
  9. I'm a newcomer when it comes to the world of visual novels, so the amount of visual novels under my belt is really small. Anyway, if I was in charge, I would adapt Rewrite into an anime. I would have it closely based on Shizuru's route. It's a cute, romantic route that contains enough story elements from the other routes (except for Kotori's route, but if you include the common route then she would have enough screentime to make up for it). Honestly, I just think that it would be really cool to see Kotarou and Shizuru on that motorcycle, with Shizuru duel wielding sub machine guns!
  10. Hello all. I am pleased to announce the start of the official Fuwa Anime Club! Here is a brief layout of how things are going to go: Members will clearly state in their post that they wish to participate in each cycle. Each cycle will have a theme or genre for the anime. Each participant (and only those participating in each cycle) is encouraged to put forth an anime title that they wish to watch. The recommendations can be either something you've seen or something you haven't seen yet but participants are committing to watch/re-watch the anime. Recommendations must not be hentai and cannot be over 26 episodes in length. Repeats are allowed. Of all the recommendations, 5 (or less depending on the number of participants) of them will be chosen by random and the participants will vote for which of the five selections the club wishes to watch. All members will watch the selected (one with the most votes) anime over a certain period of time (1 week for 14 episodes and less, 2 weeks for 15-26 episodes) After the viewing period is over, members that participated will rate various properties of the anime (Story, Characters, Music, Art-style, Overall) on a scale of 1 to 10 as well as make a short review/comment on the show (no more than 500 characters long with spaces). The person whose anime is chosen for the cycle will be allowed to pick the next genre/theme, but it cannot be the same as the previous cycle. After the discussion period ends, the cycle will begin again at step 1. For the first cycle, the genre will be Mystery. If you wish to participate, please post below along with a recommendation that fits this genre. My choice for this round is Gosick: http://myanimelist.net/anime/8425/Gosick First Cycle Participants: Stray Cat RinXD Asonn Tiagofvarela Kyoroto Grieviious Kurisu-Chan SilverLi sirjabberwock Cyrillej1 Tenkuru Clephas Flutterz First Cycle Recomendations: Gosick Another Kamisama no Memochou Tasogare Otome x Amnesia Durarara!! Kara no Kyoukai Zankyou no Terror Sunday Without God Umineko no Naku Koro ni
  11. Fanservice helps my bad attention span. What are some of your favorite anime and manga with gratuitous fanservice?
  12. ME!ME!ME!, which is an anime short that came out rather recently, had Hideaki Anno (creator of Evangelion) as the producer. Apparently Hayao Miyazaki also made a minor contribution to this short. That said, most of the credit is attributed to these two people It should be well known by now that both Anno and Miyazaki have voiced concerns and criticism on how Otakuism is ruining anime. (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2014-01-30/miyazaki/the-problem-with-the-anime-industry-is-it-full-of-otaku). Instead of studio's taking risks and making more artful shows as they did in the 90's (e.g. Evangelion, Utena, Lain), studios these days primarily market and create shows for Otaku. Hence the increase in Moe and Slice and Life anime that started around a decade ago. Within this past decade, the most successful anime/manga/light-novel that tackled the theme of otakuism in a serious way was Welcome to the NHK, and that anime was released all the way back in 2006. Anime has only gotten more saturated with Otaku fan-service since then. In any case, you can watch this 6-7 minute short here: http://animatorexpo.com/mememe/ I also suggest watching this video afterwards for some entertaining yet insightful commentary on the short: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_YjrTyxde8
  13. Hello Everyone! I was wondering which anime to watch. I prefer action, Sci-Fi and romance. Comedy is a must. So just thought to ask for a Good comedy school life anime. Please give your suggestions.....
  14. Can somebody recommend me a manga or anime with a weak protagonist with harem? I prefer that the genre is slice-of-life with bearable humor (not overboarding/over-acting) and not dragging. Though, I accept action genre or protagonist becomes stronger in the end. But if it is difficult to find an anime/manga like that, you can recommend me a weak protagonist with romantic comedy genre. These are the anime/manga that I've watched/read already: The World God Only Knows Oreimo (Ore No Imouto ga Konnani Wake ga Nai) Yahari Game demo Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Oreshura Oda Nobuna no Yabou Toradora Vandred Nyan Koi! Tonagura Suzuka Sakurasao no Pet no Kanojou Monogatori Mayo Chiki! Infinite Stratos Golden Time Clannad Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai! AnoHana Nisekoi (Damn, It's too dragging that I gave up on it) ...... I forgot the rest especially the mangas...
  15. I have to say that among everything I've watched, the most attractive, well-though, and provocative series I have ever seen was Shiki. The pure amount of insight, the character development, the philosophy not very deeply hidden withing the series. I don't think there was a single part of this that I didn't thoroughly enjoy - including those beautiful black eyes. "Not a single god would cause a miracle for me."
  16. Girlfriend (Kari) AniDB | ANN | Official Girlfriend? 17. Explanation: I've watch Anime at different websites. The best so far quality I've ever watch was at KissAnime, able to watch up to 1080p and the audio quality is much more better than I've watch at different sources so far. Question: Where can you watch HQ / HD anime other than KissAnime? I don't mind watching low quality, but watching HQ / HD is much more better. With better Audio & Video, I tend to enjoy it more. (Such selfishness) I have this habit where, when I start a thread. I would make it Visually Appealing. Sorry if it bothers you somehow. It's just a habit where I started many years back. 本当にご免なさい Hontōnigomennasai
  18. Hey guys! I have been here for a few months now. I don't read Visual Novels but since this forum is mainly for VNs, I decided to try! I enjoy horror / romance mangas a lot! If you could suggest me some of your favourites, I will be appreciated! Lasly I have no interest in ero stuff ^-^'' Thanks to everyone who read this Here have a Maki picture!
  19. I have trying to find where to buy anime replicas, specificaly the swords from bleach and SAO, anyplace I have looked seems to have no reviews and I cannot tell if they are legit or not. Does anybody know a website that I can get them from? (I would prefer if you or someone you know got something from there, just so I know it is legit.) Thank you. (Also, I hope I put this in the right forum section )
  20. Yuri Kuma Arashi AniDB | Official Release: 2015 Producers: The teaser website for the Yuri Kuma Arashi (Yuri Bear Storm) anime by director Kunihiko Ikuhara (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Penguindrum, several Sailor Moon television series) opened on Monday. The website confirms that Ikuhara is directing the anime for television, and Etsuko Sumimoto (animation director on Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion, Honey and Clover II) is adapting the original character designs by manga creator Akiko Morishima for animation. The studio SILVER LINK is producing the animation. Description: The "intellectual fantasy" follows Kureha, a "transparent" high school girl who is plain and is barely noticed by others. Seemingly every night, she has a "dream about a bear and a transparent storm." In this dream, her mysterious classmate Ginko Yurishiro appears in the form of a bear. Nailed it.
  21. Hey all, I just wanted to ask for a bit of advice regarding where to start when it comes to watching anime. I personally have watched several shows, but I still feel like I haven't really "broken in" to the medium. I feel like I'm still missing something and that if I had it, I would be able to enjoy anime a lot more. Are there any specific shows I should watch to get a foothold in the medium, so that I can start to enjoy other shows more? I also wanted to know how you guys manage to keep up with all the new stuff. I see what's coming out and I have no idea where to start, or what's worth my time. I actually really want to enjoy anime more than I do, so if anyone can help me out here, that would be greatly appreciated! I guess I should state what little I know about my tastes. I am not really into shounen, though I feel like I could be, if there are any particularly good ones. I'm not averse to ecchi either. I really enjoyed High School DxD, for more than just the boobs, too. I really like mushy romantic stuff, and thoroughly enjoyed Toradora, which I finished recently. For more specific stuff, you can see my MAL page, but you totally don't have to go to the trouble, or anything.
  22. im bored and ive been told yuri is ggod so anythin to start a yuri noob like me off? (anime, manga, VN)
  23. I just thought this might be an interesting game to see what people come up with so let's try it First: Each member will post a picture of a character (can be from any anime/video game. Just let us know where it's from. I guess you could even create your own character.) Then pretend they've become your miniature angel doll. Second: You'll make up any Phrase you want for their entry onto the Angelic Layer battle stage. You must include the character's name in the phrase somewhere. Third: Name their special technique/skill or ability for the battle. Fourth: Regarding the two posters above you, you can decide/infer who will win the battle based on the skill/ability shown. That means the third poster, will use my character post vs. the post below me.. 4th poster will use 2nd vs 3rd post, etc. (This part is optional) The battle can be won by knocking the opponent off the battle stage or when the opponent can no longer fight/out of life. Example From the Anime: Hikaru (Angelic Layer) "Angel Wings! Please guide me and Hikaru!" Skill: High Speed/Dodge If you're unfamiliar with the Angelic Layer anime, it's about a game where people create their own dolls, and once they are inserted into the Angelic Layer (battle stage) game, they can be controlled and moved through the person's thought process from the headgear. When the person throws their doll into the stage, they have their own phrases they yell out for their angel. (If that doesn't make sense ^^; can just think of it as having a character as a Pokemon, lol. You need a phrase to release them out of the pokeball to fight.) Okay, I'll start xD Juvia Lockser (Fairy Tail) "Let it rain, Juvia!" Ability: Water Magic
  24. HI! Since we're all fans of either anime, manga, VNs or all of the above, I thought It would be cool if we all shared our works, or maybe just doodle something just for fun, YAY! Anything goes. So I'll go ahead and embarrass myself first so that as many as possible get encouraged to join! Here's my "thing" quick doodle with mouse and paint.
  25. I like LN's and want more people interested in it and for more TL'ers for other LN if such a miracle can happen. I am here to suggest you 20 of the best LN's I HAVE READ. 1. Mushoku Tensei 2. Seirei Tsukai no Kenbu Est where art thou Est. 3. Legendary Moonlight Sculptor I'D RATHER DIE TO LOSE MY JAPTEM 4. Log Horizon You already watched the Anime why not Give the LN a chance. 5. Oda Nobuna no Yabou 6. Date A Live 7. No Game No Life 8. Re:Monster 9. Tsuki-Tsuki I have nothing to say 10. To Aru Majutsu no Index More than 30 Vols. and it's still good 11.
