  1. Welcome to Fuwa! Always great to see a creator coming to our forums. When you have the time, be sure to check out the old threads in the Creative Corner, there are guides and discussions there that you might find useful.
  2. OK... So, from the lack of ideas for a more substantive comment... Where's that pic from (the "everyone's bi" one)?
  3. My super-duper high-end gaming PC (which my brother left me after moving out from our house - not something I would ever buy myself), once managed to go into sleep mode and never wake up, being stuck in that blinking-diode state no matter what I did with it. It was super weird. Thankfully, it did that impressive "play dead" trick a week before its warranty ended, so I just barely managed to get it fixed for free. From what I understood, they had to flash the bios to get it working again. Sadly, I'm not tech-savy, so I can't add much more to this topic.
  4. Ok, I have KARAKARA, Fault one, and all the non-VNs (Huniepop, HunieCam Studio, Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler-, RaidersSphere4th , A Magical High School Girl) to give away. PM me, you greedy buggers. EDIT: Still a KARAKARA and Fault waiting for a new home! Cold, alone, hungry! Don't leave them hanging.
  5. I actually don't have it yet and its an OELVN... But I guess I can? It doesn't really look like my thing anyways. ;p EDIT: Shit, my Steam backlog just got scary AF...
  6. A lot of absolute trash there, but I'll take it just for Karakara 2 and the Sunrider games. I might have a lot of codes to give away after this... EDIT: People were saying that SakuSaku translation is rather shit, right?
  7. My Steam account was about games once... Now it's just a testament to my fall into extreme weebness. I share it with my brother, who mostly just plays some online games once in a while, but I don't think he ever checks out our user page. Otherwise, he would call for an exorcist by now.
  8. So I guess you'll have kinds of mixed feelings about the h-scenes...
  9. Ah, those Sci-fi tropes... Sunrider series also have that "lost technology" talk all over the place. It's a shame there's no official English release though, this would sell like hotcakes on Steam.
  10. Evil Moon SpiritsTM are always watching over Fuwa, it seems. :] So... Welcome? I hope from now on you'll continue to lose unreasonable amounts of time here and share our communal misery in active fashion!
  11. Well, we'll see her back in -Le Volume sur Hiver-. It's one of my motivators when it goes to learning Japanese, I'm pretty sure I can get to high enough level to read the last episode faster then JAST can get to translating it. xD
  12. You guys think that these new topics every day are a good thing? I try to save some time for actually reading VNs over here. ;p With one OELVN lately I've gone as far as muting the voice acting early on, because I've found it unbearably poor. My other nemesis is partial voice acting - if it's going to pop up in random moments in between mostly silent segments, I'll mute it without hesitation. I understand that indie devs often don't have the budget and still want to show off some VA work (and especially have voiced h-scenes, as some people can't work with silent porn), but it's just not something that works for me. It completely takes me out of the experience. So, if voice acting isn't going to be done really well, I prefer having none. I can give voices to characters in my mind well enough and "silent" VNs are often more convenient to read. I don't think I ever hated VA in a Japanese one though and if it's really good it can be a bonus. Simply, coming from western VN experience as my first contact with the whole genre, it's not something I really care about.
  13. My tastes are super-vanilla, but it's also because I really can't truly separate my RL preferences and moral stances from what I like in fiction - if I wouldn't accept something in real life, I won't really enjoy it in VNs - or at least I won't enjoy it "that way", because obviously many fucked up themes, including explicit ones, can be used for crafting an interesting story rather than just offering fap material. I haven't played through any of those grimdark VNs such as Euphoria or Saya no Uta, but I don't think I'd hate reading them - I'll just never look that way when looking for a turn-on either. For the same reason though, I don't truly understand people that are into various rather harmless sexual themes in VNs and anime (lesbian romance, incest between consenting adults etc.) but go on rants how they don't accept such stuff in the real world. I mean, maybe they're just fapping to those stories without catching any meaning associated with them? It just feels like pure bigotry to me. EDIT: And with the question on the translating the VN/anime fetishes into RL, I think Kaguya's post would be a good point of reference - while he can pretty easily implement his more moderate BDSM fantasies in real world, my chances at becoming a cute lesbian dating other cute lesbians are rather slim.
  14. Hyper and airheaded heroines are something I usually can't stand, as more often than not they're just dumb and infantile and I don't see any possible appeal in that. Especially when it comes to romance, it has this creepy vibe of hooking up with someone who's emotionally and intellectualy still a child. Every archetype can have its appeal if done right though. I like tsundere/kuudere types the most, just because how satisfying it is when their attitude finaly changes, but I've enjoyed all kinds of pretty clear archetype iterations in different VNs and anime.
  15. Is the new avatar an expression of that inner turmoil?
  16. Can I take your spot in Norway when you emigrate back to the Animuland?
  17. Does it count when there's no "dere" though? Or are you actually like that even when you like someone? You two won't escape from elaborating on it now.
  18. Not right now and as I've said, I don't really want to devote much time to it at this point. I don't think there's an easy way to automate tweets about new recommendations, so it would be another chore and ATM updating the blog regularly is demanding enough by itself.
  19. Oh, well... You know, you should think this over. I know that these 3 might seem like your only options right now, but there's always a way out. For example, you can jump off a bridge. -------------------------- But, putting tasteless shitposting aside, Yosuga no Sora looks most interesting out of those two (please, don't touch Hoshimemo until they fix it, unless you're going for the original version), but it seems to only have a partial patch available? Do you mean to read it in Japanese?
  20. So, I'm playing The Seven Districts of Sin, a VN apparently no one ever heard about and developer of which was desperate enough to send a review copy to every Steam curator vaguely connected to VNs, and after like 20+ mins of playing stumbled upon this: Well... This is either going to be brilliant or try way too hard and fall flat on its face pretty soon. Voice acting is decent though...
  21. Very late "Welcome to Fuwa" for you! I wanted to like your post but I somehow run out of likes for today - I blame that "most awkward" thread. Will try to fix that later.
  22. "Gay"? This is not remotely gay enough yet. I'm still waiting. Zaka: Give us your personal ranking of top 5 shitposters on Fuwa. You can't be in it. You don't deserve it anyways.
  23. Wow, this thread is pure gold. My story will be super tame compared to some of those above, but stil... I was reading the all-ages Sonohana spin-off, you know, one that doesn't even have much romance in it, and decided to finish it in the morning before my gf wakes up. So, obviously she woke up earlier than usual and walked into my room exactly at the beginning of the only kissing scene in the whole game. Maybe I looked unreasonably engrossed in the romantic conclussion of the story, but the look she gave me nearly made me wish I was cought reading some actual porn. Hmmm... I think I have to go through that scene again, I couldn't really focus when finishing the read that day. :]
  24. Uhhh, buying things from SakuraGame is like donating money to your local nazi party, but I guess they indeed have a lot of ecchi...
  25. Yeah, I mean, I know you're right, it's just that people seem to do that often, I'm a pretty slow reader but I'm quite sure I've seen many titles that had heavily underestimated playtimes and I rarely remember to actually go to VNDB page and correct that.
