Mm... I probably won't ever skip it... even if it is a dupe or a junk SSR, it is still a guaranteed SSR.  I'll probably bombard the Scathach limited summon at the beginning of next year for my favorite character in THIS game... I won't be able to resist.  I've been able to resist most of the recent summon campaigns, because, thankfully, there haven't been any really good ones.  However, I do have weak spots for evil women Servants and badass female Servants in general.
Edit: I buy about two or three less VNs a month now than I used to, so if I feel like it, I have the budget... but most Servants aren't worth it, lol.  I'd rather just build up the free ones (edit: saint crystals) and buy ebooks on Kindle instead.   Games like this eat at my collector's soul, so if I want to actually enjoy this game rather than just being obsessed, it is pretty much a basic requirement that I don't spend on any but the ones I want the most... or when I'm guaranteed a result, like today.

Inorin got a reaction from sanahtlig in Would you say the Steins;Gate VN is better than the Anime?
    Pros of the VN:
Has the 2-day time loop arc and Nae's future identity which were not featured in the anime (the former was only briefly shown in Deja vu) Has other routes other than the True Route adapted in the anime, offering new perspectives Cons of the VN:
A lot of info-dumping and slice-of-life events (these were toned down in the anime) The turning point doesn't take place until much later

Not really, although I guess it makes sense to go for the more prominent members of the Shinsengumi first like Hijikata Toshizou. After that it's kind of interesting to experience the story from a somewhat different perspective and go for Kazama Chikage. Sakamoto Ryouma was also a character I only met in certain circumstances.
Nevertheless, the first part Kyoto Winds can be considered the common route, which doesn't really has a lot of character specific route parts. The second part Edo Blossoms has pretty much all the individual story parts. But considering there are 12 character routes, which aren't so different to each other, I'd pick a few favorites and go for them.

Just finished Zanmataisei Demonbane a while ago and I have to say it's a quite an interesting read. A chuunige with mechs is something that you don't see everyday, and for a VN from Nitroplus, it sure has a fair share of humour. Not too many flaws to point out, but
Fight scenes were okay, humour was decent and pacing was alright. I liked all routes equally, so I can't really choose a favourite. Final rating: 8.2/10.

I don't how it is for other people, but for me "passive reading" means that I spend less than an hour of my time (per day) reading a VN. Anything more than that would fall under "active reading".

VN wise I'm reading a few
Steins;Gate I'm on chapter 6. Finally at the point when shit hits the fan.
The World Is Ended on chapter 1 or 2. I like the art since the artist is the artist of Grimgar. Also my main man Sugita is one of the characters.
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulation: Just started it
Layton VS. Phoenix Wright. Its okay.
Sunrider series. Academy I need to finish. Mask of Arcadius is pretty fun.
Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition. Still doing the After route.
Higurashi Chapter 1. Gotta say I wasn't expecting it to have a lot of funny or happy moments. Glad I transfer to the VN.
Corpse Party Book of Shadows and Blood Drive
    Fate/ Stay Night.
I think thats all of them. I'm slow as hell when it comes to reading and always end up picking up another game or series, so I end up putting the one I already started on the back burner to the point I remember them and forget wth happened in it.

I finished ever17 yesterday and was blown away.
I went in knowing next to nothing, with only a vague understanding that the final route basically made the game.
Base game routes were solid. I ended up enjoying Tsugumi's the most out of everyone. She just clicked.
I really enjoyed the art and soundtrack. The art felt crude at times, but hard a charm to it. The music had the early 2000s vibe and felt ahead of its time for the serious tracks. Well done atmosphere overall.
Reading through the first three days of each route took me some time and energy, but everything past that had me nearly glued to my screen. I enjoyed the plot structure immensely, the way certain scenes matched up and appeared in separate routes. I had chills run down my spine seeing the same scene play out from a different perspective, and things just not adding up. By the end of the second route I had a ton of theories in mind, and loved that the game felt like a puzzle just waiting to be solved.
The experience of it all is something I won't forget. It's one of those games where I think "man, this is why I read visual novels."
I'm eager to find more experiences like it.

    Hi folks,
We’re aware of the community’s concerns and are working to address them. We’re doing a lot of listening and behind-the-scenes work right now, even if not all of that is visible.
Here's a quick explanation of the situation at hand so you know what’s happening:
There are two Sekai Projects operating independently, but in parallel. There’s the US Sekai Project and the Japanese Sekai Project. They are not the same company. This is not to say that we don’t associate with each other or that there’s no business relationship between us, but it is to say that we are separate entities making separate decisions about separate projects.
Sekai Project Japan handled the Chinese release of WAGAMAMA HIGH SPEC. We (Sekai Project US) did not participate in any negotiations, we did not participate in the QA process. Our only involvement was to put the release on Steam--just like we’ve done with previous Chinese-language Sekai Project Japan releases. Previously, this process hasn’t caused problems.
We are not here to throw Sekai Project Japan under the bus. This is a sensitive situation and not all details can be made public, including basic information about parties involved. We are not blaming them.
Both Sekai Project Japan and Sekai Project US are currently working to resolve the issue.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We’ll be continuing to work to improve the state of VNs in the West because everybody deserves a good VN!

Forums Going Offline at 12:00 (Midnight) EST
In approximately 1.5 hours (at the time this goes live), the forums will be going offline for an unknown amount of time so that I can perform an outrageous amount of updates and fixes. I will announce when the forums are back online on our Twitter account (link). Please panic, and may the VN gods have mercy on our souls.
(Aside: after the forums are updated -- or irreparably broken -- I will also be working on the front site. Once that's done, if I have any energy and strength left in my body, I will try and make a post updating the community about recent events which have caused my absence, and briefly touch on ways we can move forward.)

I decided not to go back to Chrono clock just yet Wei123 and pushed forward with some Grisaia.
I'm not as far through Meikyuu as would have liked, spent far too much time onboard this trip due to broken generator circuits... several full earths I had to chase down. Anyhow I just wanted to say that the first Asako/JB H scene was truly spectacular, genuinely hilarious to the point of weeping eyes in places. I think I'm about halfway so will probably advance onto Rakuen this trip.
Although after seeing several fan art CGs I'm really interested in Hapymaher; so maybe that'll be on the cards next (when I'm home).

Little Michuru was truely awesome, sad route ending. I did Makoto, Michuru and Misaki, couldn't be arsed with DD, but maybe the weird attempt to be British turn me off; is it worth fighting through just to get Cro's route?

Wei, i just noticed you're reading Ef, I loved eden has it got a similar vibe?

Welcome back! I finished Chrono Clock last month, and while I generally dislike SoL, I somewhat enjoyed reading it. All routes were okay, but I liked Michuru's route the most.
While I would also recommend Subahibi, it's for a whole different reason altogether (mystery). I wouldn't say it's similar to Lucy at all ; it's more similar to Umineko.  Can't comment on Himawari since I haven't read it. The most similar VN to Lucy is Planetarian, but you've already read it.

Just completed Steins Gate Linear Bounded Phenogram. It contains 10 short stories, all of which were pretty interesting (especially the last one).
Now that I've completed it, I kind of want to re-read the original by reading Steins Gate Elite to refresh my memory, but I guess I will (finally) start on Ef instead.
