MangaGamer is a English Company who bring games in english, you know like comercial translators, Rance 8 and 9 are yet to be translated, but is a good guess to think that sooner or later they gonna be, so we all just have to be patient

Most of the time the CGs or the backgrounds don't really reflect what is happening in reality. They are there to give you an idea. In most vns you'll see an image of one thing while the text says something else entirely. Like an image of some people holding hands but the text already moved on to describe how the characters slap each other. It's annoying but every vn does that.

Hello everyone,
as I mentioned few times already our group (re)started the TL project on "Pure Pure: The story of ears and tails" after FOTS translations abandoned this project (got in touch with the head of the project, unfortunately he had to stop because he has too many real life issues...)
This novel is really old one (published ~2004) so many of you won't know what is it about but people who were in touch with FOTS will know. =)
I will post time to time in this topic but for people who are interested in this novel we created a simple FB page.
I hope there is still someone who is looking forward to this novel, because this one has caught me so hard I decided to found a group and finish it. =)

That sort of thing might have worked back in 2014/2015 when Visual Novels in the West were still a still a rare sight on Kickstarter, but in 2017 there is just too much competition now that lower tier VN just barely makes it anymore.

It seems like they're going into this empty handed and are hoping to make what they need off the Kickstarter. Which is what that site is for, sure, but I highly doubt that, using a 9-year-old no-name game like Sakura Sakura, they'll be able to generate enough capital to start the business proper, obtain a license, and pay for localization costs, even if they ran the KS campaign perfectly. And to make matters worse, it looks like they're planning on launching the campaign in less than two weeks without a proper website, and probably with no work done on their actual Kickstarter page yet. This has the makings of a total disaster.
I hope these guys manage to do well and make an impact, but it's hard to be optimistic considering the circumstances.

Just edit it to "Any fan-translatation is a good translation." If something is serialized we can and should expect high quality work as we are paying for it.

Description
This is the first title by SWEET&TEA, a new sub-brand in the CLEARRAVE group. 
Shou and Ren arrived at a beautiful town full of colourful flowers. They met the three sisters Haru, Kotose and Yukina, who run the cafe “Famille”, and he starts working there in exchange for a bed to sleep in.

In the middle of the night, Shou follows Haru far away from the town to a hill covered with flowers as far as the eye could see. He watched as a little girl whom Haru was embracing turned into a flower under the large moonlit tree. She noticed his presence and smiled lonesomely while looking fondly at the beautiful flowers in full bloom.

“I have survived up till now in this world by doing this. But I still want to continue living… even if it’s in exchange for other people’s lives.”

Shou looked up at the petals which fluttered down and responded:

“No matter what this world forces upon you, no matter how many people won’t forgive you... I’ll still pray for this world to end.”

I would say just not to read moeges if he doesn't like it.
My suggestion is for you to take some time away from VNs, since you are not enjoying them. Try different games, maybe some RPGs/hybrids, and when you feel like reading, you can come back and enjoy VNs.
Now, if you don't feel like it, I'd recommend some short ones: Enigma is a good one to begin with - it is very short and good all through it. Try also Planetarian, by Key.

I loved Higurashi and Umineko became a must play for my. I just have to say: Its a master piece, its one of my 3 "10" rated vn´s.

If you like Princess Evangile and Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort, you should read  Noble ☆ Works and Harukoi Otome ~Otome no Sono de Gokigenyou~
 

As seen in the title, I'm planning to translate Golden Marriage, a VN by Ensemble. However, due to my lack of knowledge and experience, I'm looking for any advice for TLs. I've read https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/2254-how-to-translate-a-vn/ before, but I would like to see a detailed step-by-step explanation. Golden Marriage uses .arc files(Like If My Heart Had Wings) and I have successfully extracted the files(I think). Extracting Rio.arc gave me what I think is the script. But, I can't comprehend it.

Type-moon has branched out so into so much other media that it would probably survive the complete collapse of the VN industry.
Nitroplus has a lot of solid IPs that make them huge amounts of money from swag, as much as from the games themselves.  The likelihood of that company going down anytime soon is low.  Mainstream companies like Navel are far more likely to take a hit.

Even in this YouTube generation, I enjoy reading gaming magazines like GameInformer, Retro Gamer, Edge etc. Today, I just want to rave about what my dream VN magazine would be.

I love old school things. Sometimes I post about stuff from ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~, Sakura Taisen and the like, so I would love to follow a VN magazine that focuses on titles from the 80s and 90s.
Maybe every issue highlights one game in particular and explores behind the scenes details. The pages will be designed professionally for that quality finish. Man, the things I would do to read an issue on Ever17, ONE, Sakura Taisen, Utawarerumono, 999 (not that old but hey) and so on.

I cannot start that type of series because game development takes up most of my time, and also:
1) Old school VNs are too niche perhaps.
2) Not enough of an audience compared to video materials.
Does anyone else sub to magazines? I for one hope they never die out. What would your dream VN magazine be like? Even if no one starts a series, we can at least dream about it.
I am secretly hoping someone does do it. Can't imagine how it can survive honestly except out of passion, but I would show my support on Patreon for example if the presentation is up to par.

So, just an update, I have just finished translating the prologue. 1st milestone achieved ^^ That's 9.21% (6033/65519) complete.
That being said, QC will begin once editing and TLC of the prologue are done, and I have already received two offers for QC, one of whom is a QCer from Yandere Translations (thanks for the offers!). Progress is going pretty well and things are certainly getting into full swing!
With that being said, as you all know, excluding the QCs, we're a two-man team (1 translator and 1 editor), and being the solo translator, it really is tough putting in the effort and energy translating this visual novel. I'm of course not giving up, but it would help a lot if I can get a 2nd translator for this visual novel.
So if anyone has played this visual novel in Japanese before and is interested in translating this visual novel with me, please let me know! Otherwise, it would be just me translating this, and at the rate I'm going, it's probably going to take at least 2.5 years before the translation of this is complete.

Requirements for Translator Position:
- Must have a good command of Japanese and English and be good in Japanese-to-English translation (of course)
- Must be committed to translating at least 1 route (that's at least 9000 lines) (I don't want multiple translators translating 1 route. It's for consistency.)
- Must at least be familiar with Aiyoku no Eustia's story
- At least be able to translate about 50-150 lines per day or 350-800 lines per week (not a necessity, but would be good to keep this standard)
