I am XionsProphecy, or Xion if you prefer that.
I used to be active here way back in 2015 to 2017 when I used to call this place my home.
Decided today that I'd give this another go. But will mostly just be lurking.

I've watched UBW and Zero, but not the first Fate/Stay Night. I will watch SN soon, even if i've already done the Fate route in the VN

Hmm, I didn't realize that getting donations would be illegal. Learned something new today.
Well, the thought was that the translator groups could choose a VN from the list that they would like to work on, they wouldn't be forced to work on something they wouldn't enjoy.
Maybe, but hosting the English patch on the Fuwanovel site would generate more traffic there instead of to somewhere else.
Aren't they already sending the translations to the reviewers here?
 
Well, the thought was that the page where you could get the patch file would have the translators info on it, so that people know who did it. And yeah, I do understand that you'd rather want the traffic coming to your own website, but hosting it would have been part of the agreement of getting paid for the work. Besides, it could have just been a "timed exclusive" hosting or whatever.
Yeah, it would take a lot of donations to pay for the work properly. But my thought was that, why not make a little money on the project instead of working for free.
Well, that part I hadn't thought about really, but there could have been a required weekly check in on the progress to get the weekly donations, and review the work that has been made to see that the people really are working and not just slacking off and playing with their waifu's and husbando's.
 
I knew this was going to get left in the dark because of the donation system, and if I knew that system was illegal to use for this type of work, I wouldn't have made the thread.

I love technology and get on all the new tech, makes it even more fun to develop something for it.

Chances of it are very slim.
You have to understand in the vast majority of cases nowadays anime is made as an advertisement for the source material, because that's how they can return some kind of profit (you advertise a relatively new LN/Manga/Game, sales increase, you sell more merch, and both entities profit from it). If the source material is already long past publishing date, and it has already had an anime before, then the chances of a new anime for it being made are close to 0 because whatever advertisement could have been done has already been done. They probably stand to lose more money if they make an anime than they gain in merchandise sales.
Unless you get external investments, a second anime for Umineko is very unlikely.

Probably should. I think Tay doing these things is likely the exception nowdays, rather than the norm.

We don't usually do name changes, though that's not to say we haven't done them before. 
If you'd like, feel free to throw me or any other GM a PM with why you want that name change, haha. Admins don't normally deal with this type of thing nowdays, and we do have the permission to make those changes.

Q: Why VR for a VN?
A: I know that VR might be like a "?" for most people, but when you're like me that enjoys free roam and puzzle based gameplay, it becomes a little more interesting.
Q: What platform is the VN coming to?
A: Right now the VR version being developed is for Android, the PC version will be made later when this one is finished.
Q: Is the VR obligatory?
A: No, VR is not forced on you. If you don't have a Google Cardboard or any other VR headset for Android you can turn the feature off. Same goes for the PC version with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
Q: What will make the VN benefit from VR?
A: Head tracking, fast movement and immersion. It will be essential in the gameplay segments and to more easily spot "things".
Q: How big will the game be?
A: The script says about 45 hours, which is for the first path taken out of a lot.
Q: Will there be voice acting?
A: Yes, fully.
Q: Will it have any electronic music?
A: So far I've made one electronic song for it, all else is orchestral.
