Why not https://vndb.org/v759 ? Ah... Steam doesn't allow lolicon, but it's ok with horrible 3D. I wish, Frontwing just stop doing this.

A lot of western countries in general don't allow lolicon... Like Canada where I live. If there's actually lolicon (that can't be reasonably avoided with a giant "these characters are 18+" sticker - i.e. a story element is that the characters are under 18 or they look very, very obviously under 18), then it's gonna be a lot harder for companies to license given the potential risks to their customers and lost revenue from not being able to sell it to entire countries.

But yeah, this game isn't interesting to me, either. Can't even tell if it's a straight VN from that or an idol game, although vndb says it's all in 3D so. I'm most impatient for Frontwing to just smoothly get Himawari out already at this point...

O...kay? This is a rather strange choice. I guess they really were serious about localizing everything they own if they're digging this deep.

There's that chinese VN on Steam that features a naked loli, so...

Steam doesn't allow explicit sex. What you have beyond that doesn't matter so much. Maitetsu is eventually coming to steam, after all.

I know that. I was being sarcastic. Apparently, I failed.

I'm waiting for Island. So, every lowcost FrontWing's VN makes the waiting harder.

And Denpa I hope.

lol First, the new "Grisaia", and now this? Is Frontwing hoping to be the next juggernaut of the VN industry that will challenge Key/Visual Arts and Type Moon?

This: https://vndb.org/v20194 is Frontwing's answer to this: https://vndb.org/v13774

As much as I find this particular title worth investigating, I really would like them to finish Himawari. Indeed. Very much so. Please hurry up, Frontwing. Are you reading this? I want you to finish it. I've expressed my wishes, so now feel free to do whatever it is you want to do. Now that you've read me complaining on the internet. :)

Frontwing, I am disappointed in you. Grisaia becomes your biggest seller and now you try out other things hoping to make the same impact? And most of your recent works have been mediocre to just plain poor. An idol-inspired VN? Really?

Uhh, no, I really don't think they expect this to make the same impact, at all.

Are you saying Frontwing shouldn't attempt to have a diverse catalog?

Well, yes. Generally, their business is to sell VNs. If they get a big seller, it's only natural to "try out other things hoping to make the same impact". It's not like I particularly believe they think this'll be highly impactful, but if they don't try then... what do they do?

"Oh, we got a big hit. Time to pack up and go out of business."

Time Leap is a series that dates back from 2007, so it's not like it's a new title or anything. It probably was a series created in response to "THE iDOLM@STER"'s sucess which had tons of games, animes, mangas and the likes.

THE iDOLM@ster:

D3 Publisher as a response went on to make their own "iDOLM@ster" too with "Dream C Club": http://www.gamefaqs.com/games/franchise/1363-dream-c-club

We could say the same of Nitro+ with their "Super Sonico" which had games on PC, PS3 3DS, as well as mangas and anime: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Sonico

At the end of the day Frontwing is a japanese company that makes games for *gasp* a Japanese audience and guess what? Japan eats up this kind of stuff.

Lol the only reason Xbox 360 sold so much in Japan was due to "idol shite" such as THE iDOLM@ASTER, Dream C Club and the likes.

That's funny, because I heard that the Xbox 360 sold pretty poorly in Japan.  [1]  [2] [3]  Check Sony's Japanese PS3 sales figures and get back to me on how the Xbox "sold so much" in Japan  :illya:

Xbox 360 had alot of exclusives titles that were developed for the Xbox 360 and either remained exclusive to the Xbox 360 or where only ported on PS3 after a few years, many sucessful titles such as THE iDOLM@STER, Dream C Club, Steins;Gate and such actually started on Xbox 360, alot of VN console ports were first released on Xbox 360.

In terms of "Xbox" it sold alot (1.5 million as of 2011). Compare that to the other Xbox sales in Japan, such as the Xbox One which unlike the Xbox 360 has almost 0 incentives (to the japanese) going for it. Basically if it wasn't for these exclusives the Xbox 360 would have sold about as much as the Xbox One is selling now and compared to that the Xbox 360 did indeed "sell so much more".

this. like in whatever post/topic/statement about bringing over whichever title coming from frontwing themselves people only keep on asking stuff related to grisaia or its derivates. gives me the freaking creeps. as if they arent allowed anymore to try out something different after grasaia´s commercial success...& yo, then fellows start wondering why phantom trigger has been decided on...

Interesting I guess. While the idol was nice enough if we speak about commercial there, I think that Frontwing should also released the prequel there if they want to localized Time Leap completely there. Besides, I think the prequel could entering the Steam easily because it was had been ported to the console.

PS - I'm still waiting Frontwing to fulfill their promise in regard of Island here, too. As for Himawari, it was already back to Mangagamer and they was trimming whatever bug it was left, so hopefully it'll be in near future if we talk about the release.

Okay so there seems to have been a breakdown of communication at some point, because this was not supposed to be announced yet.

It's not Time Leap Paradise the VN, it's a different thing, and I'm assuming we'll make a detailed announcement in the next few hours since we kind of have to, so I guess "more details soon!" until I can get confirmation on how to handle this.

100% agree.  People complain when companies release the same game over and over again.  Then when the company tries something different, they complain it isn't as polished as the game that the company's made 4 times before already.  Or they complain it's too weird, or not enough like the game that awhile ago they were complaining had been rehashed to death.

If companies never take chances, then the market dies from stagnation slowly.  That's not good for anybody.

That's still not really selling well.  Selling slightly more than crap isn't really something I'd tote as a "success".  You're also claiming something that can't actually be confirmed with facts (idol games were responsible for said sales increase), sooo, yeah.  It's almost like you're a troll that uses illogical arguments or something  :sachi:

Not to mention that you started arguing with me about my opinion, which is that I think idol stuff is shite.  You're not going to convince me otherwise.

SP announced it in their Kickstarter update for Grisaia.  Interesting how they were apparently given incorrect info and the go-ahead to announce said incorrect info.

Guess we'll have to wait on you and Frontwing for more info.  Sounds like something new, from what you said.

So neither Time Leap or Time Leap Paradise will be released? I wonder what will we get for Super Live.

That being said, all the talk about Idolmaster and stuff makes me want to try one game at least once. Unfortunately it will never release outside of Japan at all because "gross idol shite":(. At least let me indulge in Japanese culture a bit more. This is way more tolerable than other Japanese hobbies floating around there.

There's an english release of the mobile Love Live rhythm game.

That's a nice information to know, even though I can't play mobile games due to obselete phone I own.

Well, there is Hatsune Miku but I'm not really into her and fellow vocaloid's synth voice much.
