    Sharing My Prototype

So it's been a while that I'm making this Visual Novel RpgMaker game and it's still a prototype, but I think I will share it to you guys\gals\other anyway 'cause I would like to hear your opinion 'bout it. So the ideia is to create a Multiple Route Mystery game, inspired in Vns like Corpse Party, with elements from other visual novels and horror games, the protagonsit would be a trans girl named Ana that studies in a university (the setting). Of course there are multiple routes, some that connect to the major plot and some that are their own story, also each character would have six endings with a invisible relationship meter similar to Tsukihime, the endings would be a True Ending, A Good Ending, A Normal Ending, A Bad Ending, A Fake Ending and a Extra Ending that it's unlocked after getting the first five endings, there are out-of -route endings that are Special Endings, also there are both Male and Female "Love interests" and one of them is a trans guy. Here are some pics from sprites that I made: And that's it, what do you guys\gals\other think?
  3. A paranormal mystery visual novel by Obento Mori Twitter | Tumblr - "My name is Riley, and I used to be just your typical high school student. Demons, ghosts, monsters... until recently, they were just fictional concepts. That is, until I met someone who changed my life. They showed me that the occult was very real... and, what's more, very dangerous. It was a fateful encounter that would end up changing my future, and that of everyone around me. But, first, we should start at the beginning. One Spring day, I agreed to meet my friend at swimming practice. That was the day I discovered who, and what, I really was..." Plot Phantom Ban Detective Agency centers around Riley and Dameon; two high school detectives that fight strange beings known as Phantoms. Phantoms are summoned unconsciously by people known as Espers through their strong inner desires, and emotional trauma. These phantoms act to fulfill these desires and wreak havoc on their victim’s minds. Together they fight to protect their school and solve a strange mystery involving a forgotten friend. You can finally give the demo a try by click this link under "features"~ Why we posted Hello and welcome to our first full length visual novel project! We are Obento Mori a small team working towards creating quality content and creating a community around our works. We hope that by sharing our progress with game dev communities we will receive support, feedback and advice on how we can proceed. We are currently in the process of developing a demo (for Phantom Ban Detective Agency) in preparation for kickstarter. Half our team is working on as a commission. In order for us to create a full length version of this game to the maximum of our vision we will require support in all forms. If there is anything you guys can offer please don't hesitate to share with us. We are aiming to update our status on these websites: Twitter | Tumblr Facebook coming soon~ Our current questions: What do you guys think? Advice for how we can improve? Best/prefered social media? How can we get more people to see this project? What are things we can do to generate more interest for our project? Thank you so much for stopping by! The Team
  4. Book of Zhu: Legacy is a visual novel starring Aya, princess, martial artist, and future empress of the Zhu empire, who will find herself faced with the reality of what the future holds for her. The world depicted in-game is inspired by Wuxia films, as well as anime such as Fist of the North Star, Kenichi, and Katanagatari, and is being painstakingly brought to life by my team and I for this Visual Novel and beyond. Over the course of the game you will experience firsthand the upper class of society within the country of Zhu, glimpses of the larger world, and of course many martial arts battles. The game will follow a central storyline focusing on Aya and how her life starts to change over the course of about a year, with differing choices available that change the details presented during the story and what aspects of the world come into focus. In addition to the central storyline there are several side paths focusing on specific characters that are mostly determined by who you spend the most time with and whose story you progress the most during the early parts of the game, though some alternate versions of paths are triggered by hidden flags and events. Some of these will be romantic in focus, but others will allow you to see different sides of various characters, experience different aspects of the world, as well as different fight sequences. The game will also be free. Aya: The protagonist, heiress to both the Imperial Throne and her family's martial arts style. She is a girl eager to prove herself as both a future leader and a fighter to her mother, the Empress. Rin: Aya's cousin and a fellow princess. She is renowned for both her beauty and talent in the magical arts. She doesn't take her position seriously and prefers to indulge in pleasure instead of studying or training. Rani: Aya's loyal bodyguard and best friend. Despite living in the palace she has a reputation as a thug and spends a lot of her free time dealing with low-lifes and delinquents. Dokura : Rani’s mother, loyal retainer for the Imperial family, and one of the Empire's most respected warriors. She is seen by Aya as an aunt of sorts, someone always looking out for her that she can turn to. The Empress: Aya's mother and the absolute ruler of their people. She is loved as a living representation of Zhu tradition and feared for the swift and harsh retribution that tradition demands. For better or worse every action she makes is part of a legacy she will leave behind for Aya someday. There are many more characters than just those, so expect more soon. Lekkuen (me): Head Designer/Head Writer - The creator of the setting and main creative voice behind the project. Mahenbu: Lead Artist - An artist who has worked on several games and other projects. He draws the character sprites and the fight sequence, and dictates the overall art style. http://mahenbu.deviantart.com/ Kopianget: Artist - An artist for several games (most notably Huniepop), he mostly does the full screen CGs but also helps with character design. http://kopianget.deviantart.com/ Missing: Artist - An artist who has been a part of several visual novels, he is drawing all of the backgrounds present within the game as well as helping with overall world design. http://lordless.deviantart.com/ Startwo: A pair of artists who have been essential toward bringing the overall look of the setting together. They put in a lot of work towards helping to design the outfits and general look/feel of the setting. While only a select few things will be drawn by them, a lot of their work will be in the art book and related projects. http://www.startwo.net/ For more info and stuff, visit the Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1070798205/book-of-zhu-legacy
  5. Now on Steam Greenlight! While working on Chronotopia, we’ve decided to make a brand new version of Ambre, one of our oldest visual novel. We got tremendous reviews of the original and we thought a complete overhaul would do the game justice: so, it will now include all new graphics, more languages (English, French and Japanese), as well as a more modern presentation (such as camera zooms or blinking animations). Vote for us on Greenlight so that we can publish the new version on Steam for free! That way, old readers and newcomers alike will be able to enjoy this heartbreaking story. As he is passing by a park, a depressed thirty years old named Tristan Mallory discovers a lost little girl. Touched, he decides to help by taking her in. But something is off about their relationship, very off. Will you be able to figure out their terrible secret? Ambre is a kinetic novel, thus you cannot choose the fate of the characters. However the story will take you on an emotional roller-coaster you won’t quite see coming. Even if things seem wrong, do not ever give up…or you’ll regret it.

  7. Walkerman is an Adventure Game/Visual Novel about hunting supernatural creatures. These creatures follow rules similar to old folk tales about vampires and garlic, or werewolves and silver bullets; rules that must be exploited to defeat them. Each act of Walkerman centers on a creature and the process of investigating it. Players will study the monster in order to ascertain its weaknesses, gather the necessary items, and then confront it in battle. Combat takes place on an isometric, pseudo-board game in which the player selects actions from a list of options. These battle sequences have multiple solutions, depending on the player's collected items and their knowledge of the monster. Players also steer the protagonist through his personal life in a similar fashion: deciding whom to trust, where to borrow money, etc which alters how the story progresses. We've released the Steam page for Walkerman: Click Here We are also on itch.io: https://scalemail.itch.io/walkerman We also have a twitter at: https://twitter.com/Scalemail_Vox And our game is also available at our main website: http://www.scalemail.com/ And here is our vndb entry: https://vndb.org/v16907

  9. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUlDO2Y4A8Y&feature=youtu.be A gruesome murder interrupts an evening party at a secluded mansion and you are the prime suspect! Explore the mansion, search for clues, and interrogate the other guests as you strive to unmask the killer in this open-ended mystery. MMM is a visual novel adventure with an open-ended mystery that puts your deductive skills to the test. A murder occurs in a secluded manor, and if you can't find the killer in time, you just might take the blame for the crime yourself! Gather information and search the house for clues as you form your own conclusions about the evening's mysterious events. FEATURES Multiple Endings: Finding the true killer is ideal, of course, but maybe building a plausible case against one of the other characters is good enough to get you off the hook! Unique and Compelling Characters: Play as Miss Fortune, a delightfully caustic anti-heroine who has already been widowed nine times. But this time, she didn't do it (really!), and she'll have to solve the mystery herself to prove it! Immersive Story: Sharply written dialog full of choices ensures a thoroughly immersive narrative. Voice-acting: Each character is fully voiced, with over 1700 voiced lines throughout the game! Beautiful Visuals: Detailed, searchable backgrounds and slick visual effects like rain, fog and variable lighting enhance the aesthetic experience. Time runs Short: The incompetent police are on their way. Better solve the mystery before they arrive, lest they come to their own (wrong) conclusions. --- MMM is available for Windows, Mac & Linux in English, Spanish and Italian. Check it out on Steam | Itch.io We have a demo! Demo on Steam | Demo on Itch.io | Demo on IndieDB The game features full voice-acting throughout, and has some exploration elements as you gather evidence. At the end of the game, everyone gathers in the parlour, and you can accuse anyone of the crime. The tough part is making that accusation stick. It's taken almost 2 years to develop this game, and I think it's turned out pretty well. The script was written by my brother, and the art was done by a friend. The game was made in Unity, as we wanted to include some extra gameplay that wasn't possible in other visual novel engines. I actually wrote my own framework for it.
  10. Four years after the Motherworm’s death, a masked AI known as Program X is threatening to throw cyberspace back into chaos. With virus numbers back on the rise, the unhacker decides to open Smash Security once more. This time, a new AI named Neonya is there to battle by his side. Victory should be guaranteed with a superior AI like Neonya, but with signs of malfunction showing, the risk of her going rogue is ever present. She merely wishes to be accepted as her company’s official AI, yet the unhacker finds himself unable to crown her. After all, doing so will mean dethroning his former companions, the ones he still thinks about to this day. But there is one thing that terrifies the unhacker above all else—why do Program X and her minions look so much like friends from a distant past? Hello people! I still remember sharing Unhack 1 with everyone here back when Fuwanovel was new. Some of the folks from back then are now my closest mates on social media. You know who you are. Thank you for always supporting me through the years. A few months after I closed off Unhack 1, the idea for this second game had in fact already crossed my mind. I held off on production to avoid sequelitis, and to tell the truth, I wanted to keep people waiting for a bit as well. I feel like now is a good time to at last unveil this project. Unhack 2 will have no gameplay like the first title did. I tried so many times to blend story with gameplay, and despite my best effort, the results were only average. Some of you who are kindly following me already know I am moving away from gameplay in general. With that said, Unhack 2 will feature password puzzles that will at times require players to break out of the 4th wall. For instance, there might be a passcode hidden on Unhack 2's webpage. These puzzles can be skipped for those who prefer to focus on the narrative. Here is the game's website: http://unhack2.invertmouse.com There is a demo build available, so please feel free to have a look: And as always, I could use your support on Steam Greenlight: Thank you so much everyone!

  13. Hi everyone! We're a u7committee — a small team of people from different parts of the world with backgrounds in gaming and video industry. We'd like to announce our Kickstarter project on Fuwanovel. It's called Minotaur, and it's a crossover between visual novel and point and click adventure/puzzle game. Zero escape and Danganronpa series are, of course, a big inspiration (the other side being LucasArts classics... And The Neverhood. Did anyone play The Neverhood?) Please take a look at our Kickstarter trailer. It's pretty short, but it tells a lot about the game: If you like the trailer, you can actually give the game a try. We have a one hour playable demo (which has a complete voice over from some great actors, by the way) for Windows PC and Mac available. You can download it from: Game Jolt | itch.io | IndieDB | Our website Remember: that's VN/adventure game — you'll need to solve puzzles, use inventory etc. But if you don't like that part (or get stuck doing it), jsut use this spoiler-free walkthrough that we wrote. We'd be happy to hear your feedback about the game. And if you liked it, you can check out our Kickstarter page and consider supporting Minotaur (at the moment of writing this, we're nearing €20K of our €30K goal): Our Kickstarter page A couple of words about the game... Minotaur is a sci-fi murder mystery set in the world we've spent two years creating. The game is now 50% done, and we expect to release at the end of this year. (If you're interested, you can read more about it here.) The game is split into five routes and features nine characters. The cast is pretty diverse... there's even a penguin (no EVA reference, I swear): These poor creatures wake up to find themselves trapped in their own apartment building, and (naturally) try to get out, struggling to understand what had happened in the process. More often than not, they die. Graphics are a mix of hand-drawn artwork and 3D modelling. Here are some screenshots from the game: (Did I already tell you there are no EVA references?) And that's that... I hope that you give Minotaur a try. If you happen to have any questions or feedback, let me know and I'll be there. Cheers and thanks for your time! Nick PS: I just can't not say it... Fuwanovel UI is really sexy. And the editor is one of the best I've seen. Writing this post was a pleasure!
  14. Hey Fuwanovel forum folk! I'm Kevin, founder of a tiny independent game studio called Nuclear Fishin' Software, based in NYC. Over the past half year, we've been developing a new visual novel / SLG in Ren'Py. It's called Four Horsemen, and it's not like any other SLG you have played before. To fund development the rest of the way, we're launching a Kickstarter campaign very soon! Before we do that, though, we'd like to get some feedback from players who are familiar with VNs in general and Ren'Py games specifically. And where better than here? (edit 2) The game is out, and is available for purchase on itch.io! Thanks so much to everyone who supported us. Also, please vote for us on Steam Greenlight so we can get the game on Steam! (edit) Our Kickstarter is live!! Please back us if you like what you see. PROJECT INTRODUCTION Four Horsemen is an upcoming visual novel / SLG about immigrant lived experiences, with a touch of magical realism. You play as a group of four immigrants in their mid-teens, the Riders, who discover a long-forgotten, empty World War II-era machinegun bunker on the edge of town. They turn it into a secret clubhouse where they can hang out and do teenagery things like drink booze and play video games without adult supervision, and in doing so, they inadvertently create a new community. What this community does, and what it is for, is up to you. You'll spend much of the game gathering resources and building things to put in the clubhouse, and your choices of what you have the kids do and make will set the kids' priorities and consequently drive the storyline. What's not up to you is the world outside the clubhouse, which will slowly encroach on your burgeoning community. It will force the kids to come to terms with the politics that brought them to their new homeland, and the legacy they have inherited from their parents' country, a land they barely know. Political realities will also impede your ability to interact with NPCs and gather resources. Unlike other SLGs, you can't just stat-grind, buy, and bribe your way to a Good End--institutional racism will harry your production, forcing you to think outside the box and negotiate, borrow, improvise, and steal what you need. (Non-spoiler: What you build doesn't matter nearly as much as how you build it.) The big twist is that virtually everything in the game--the nature of the tragedy that brought these children to foreign shores, what the kids' values are, what language they swear in, what arcs are and aren't available, what the price of a wooden table leg is--all these things are determined by which fictional country the kids are from, and which fictional country they live in. You get to pick which country the kids are from on your first playthrough. On every playthrough after that, the game picks for you. The result will be an SLG with unprecedented replayability. On your second play, you might notice that choices that helped you win the first time around are missing, or that NPCs respond differently to different dialogue options. Resources that were easy to get before might now be hard, characters who were crucial the first time around have been replaced with new, different characters (forcing you to play an entirely different arc), and so on. Like real immigrant teenagers, you will have to figure out each new culture on your own, and constantly make decisions about whether you want to conform to it or stick by your own principles and work against it. This forces you to use real social skills to guide your decisions, rather than just telling NPCs what they want to hear or what sounds like it would produce the best reward. FEATURES Gorgeous art by the immensely talented comics artists Iasmin Omar Ata and Olga Andreyeva Stunning soundtrack by professional game audio designer Alyssa Menes and a variety of very talented independent bands, inspired by punk rock and its conceptual descendants (including postrock, riot grrl, and antifolk). Possibly the most complex treatment of immigration and racism ever to be explored in a video game--half a year of research, interviews, and difficult real-life conversations with immigrants from dozens of different real-life cultures ensure this won't just be a simple morality tale about how people from ethnic majorities should be nice to people from ethnic minorities. Repatriation! Assimilationist paternalism! Shifting historical identities! Historical complicity! Identity in exile! Inspired by both real-life twentieth century history and recent events, this game takes an international worldview, and does not shy away from difficult or uncomfortable questions. (Not in demo) Unique structure: Play through the whole game in a weekend, every weekend, for months; different every time. Meta-motivation tracking: choices are balanced to gently troll players who follow SLG genre conventions instead of their hearts. Lots of animations and other little surprises to keep things interesting. Deliberately broken economy loop -- use your heart and your wits to obtain what you can't get from the item shop! (Not in demo) No wish fulfillment--you can start a romantic relationship between any two PCs, but beware, teenage romantic relationships are just as transient and awkward as they are in real life. Tense, exciting microaggression system (instead of combat), with fancy Phoenix Wright-like animations. Empathy is your only weapon! (That, and your fists.) CHARACTER ARCHETYPES Though you'll play as a different set of four characters each playthrough, they always conform to the same four archetypes, each one inspired by a different Horseman of the Apocalypse from Christian-Islamic eschatological tradition. This reflects the uncanny feeling, common among travelers and schoolteachers, of meeting the same people over and over, with small but significant variations--amplified by the cultural forces of globalization, which draw teenagers of particular temperaments to the same clothes, music, and hobbies all over the world. The protagonists of Four Horsemen are not literal personifications of their religious namesakes, but as war, death, famine, and pestilence are intimately tied to the human experience of immigration, the central conflict of each character is defined by one of these concepts in a way that is meant to resonate with the experiences of people who have experienced them in reality. WAR The leader of the Riders and the only first-generation immigrant of the group, War's haunted eyes and tough demeanor belie the playfulness of a girl who struggles to balance between growing up too soon and catching up too late on her lost childhood. Her future taken from her at an early age, War lives in the moment, burying a deep, implacable sadness in sports and drinking and video games. Her considerable leadership skills, overdeveloped sense of responsibility, and deep fascination with ancient history are overlooked by her teachers at school, who write her off as a ditzy tomboy partybro. Though quick to anger, and extremely protective of her younger sister Death, she is surprisingly slow to violence, due to her early experiences with bloodshed. When she does pick fights, though, watch out! Mercy is not a concept she understands. Because she's the only Rider who remembers the old country, the other Riders see her as a sort of wise-woman figure, a role for which she is woefully unprepared. She spends a lot of time worrying about who she really is. War's storylines deal with themes of personal identity, security, armed conflict, heritage, and nation-building. DEATH A free spirit and incorrigible smartass who talks the same way IRL as she does on the Internet, Death couldn't care less about politics or identity. Death lives for one thing and one thing only: to make something even cooler than the last thing she made. She has a gift for electrical engineering, but talent doesn't necessarily equal competence--at her early age, she's still kind of figuring out how everything works, and sometimes everything, well, doesn't. Everyone but her thinks her talent is going to make her rich and famous someday, a perception against which she constantly struggles. A few early, horrifying years in a refugee camp made her keenly aware that she's never going to have the same opportunities as other kids her age, and she often has to balance her pathological fear of missing out with her obsession with catching up. These experiences, and the toxicity of online communities, bestow on her both an acerbic wit and an unbearable loneliness. Death's storylines deal with themes of lived experience, erasure, self-determination, industry, and the meaning of labor. FAMINE A wide-eyed, impressionable, easily impressed little dude, Famine has it pretty good compared to War and Death--he's a naturalized citizen who grew up in his new country, speaks with the local accent, and could almost pass for a native if given the chance. But this "almost" is what torments him: he's the only child of a single dad, he's an unremarkable student, he's just a little too awkward to be well liked at school, and there's always just barely not enough money to get by without cutting corners. Fortunately, or unfortunately, Famine doesn't believe the deck is stacked against him. A better world is always within reach! He believes that with a little gumption and a lot of hard work, anything is possible! ("Anything" includes winning the affections of Death, who he has a massive crush on, and who, of course, will not give him the time of day.) Famine wears a French maid costume when he dusts the clubhouse because it is a practical outfit for dusting. Shut up. You would too, if he wasn't the only one who ever bothered to dust this fucking sty. You slacker. He is best bros with Pestilence and looks up to him immensely, which is a little mysterious since Pestilence has no ambition. They like weed. Famine's storylines deal with themes of opportunity, entrepreneurship, gender roles, equality, respectability, and institutional privilege. PESTILENCE Pestilence is an enigma wrapped in a shroud of pot smoke. The son of two unremarkable, well-off parents from the old country, Pestilence has spent his entire life in his new homeland, and is widely reviled. His family was part of the community that welcomed War and Death out of a refugee camp in their early childhood, and the sisters consider him a family friend. Everyone else, except for Famine, seems to distrust him--his teachers insist he's trouble, though he rarely makes any; the police hassle him at every opportunity; taxi drivers and social workers are struck by a sudden and terrible deja vu. Pestilence is accustomed to this reaction and takes it in stride. He is very friendly and sees himself as a sort of Mister Rogers figure, preaching simple, occasionally grim aphorisms from doctor's office brochures. Naturally, Famine thinks he's the chillest person ever, and they are best bros. Though he generally comes off as a carefree gentle giant, Pestilence has strong convictions and will passively resist anyone who stands against them. It is rumored that when the immigration bureau sent his parents the eighth late notice for his resident alien registration, Pestilence mailed them a drawing of a smiling cockroach flying a UFO. Pestilence's storylines deal with themes of religion, conquest, demography, social justice, and the spread of ideas. WHO WE ARE Nuclear Fishin' Software is based in Brooklyn, New York, and our core creative team consists of: Kevin Chen (writing, programming, direction, design) -- that's me! Iasmin Omar Ata (character design, CG illustration) Olga Andreyeva (background and item illustration) Alyssa Menes (music and sfx) We are professionals with years of game industry experience, we are all immigrants, and we love SLGs--so being able to work on a game about a subject so close to our hearts is a real treat! PROGRESS So, while development on the Kickstarter playable WIP demo continues apace, we made a pre-Kickstarter preview build just for Fuwanovel, Lemmasoft, and some other VN forums. What's already done as of demo preview build v0.400: All the PC expressions and the vast majority of the NPCs as well Country system - play as characters from any of 10 different countries, with significant and far-reaching effects on dialogue and the choices available to you Economy loop and rewards - we won't spoil anything here, but this includes a lot of surprises One main route, complete except for the ending, which we have intentionally omitted (we wouldn't want to spoil anything before the final release!). We plan to do at least two more for the final release, perhaps more depending on funding Three minor routes, one of them fully complete, the rest nearly complete. There are also stubs for several others Microaggression system, in two different play modes, including an endboss An absurdly sophisticated profanity system - characters codeswitch naturally and swear in their native languages Dynamic BGM system - in addition to some incredible tracks across several different genres from our talented musician friends, each of the main characters has its own instrumental motif. Waaaaay more than we can list -- most of the game's systems are complete! What's not done yet: New Game+ - all the ingame integration is in place, though since we only have one main route so far, we can't show you the depth of our New Game+ system just yet Replay is going to be more meaningful and varied once we have fully implemented the New Game+ system UI - we plan to do a massive overhaul if we're funded Day phase world map - we're working on making this even prettier and more intuitive, stay tuned! Tons more content - we plan to add at least two more main routes at the very least, each with unique NPCs A bunch of the higher tier items don't do what they're supposed to yet If we're funded, we'll keep iterating on the game's systems incrementally, improving playfeel and UI messaging, making the animations cooler, and generally making everything prettier, more polished, and more fun to play We welcome any feedback you might have--especially if there's anything that might be a major dealbreaker in a decision about whether or not you'd buy the game. 15. Link to Trailer When a withdrawn virtual reality nerd has the opportunity to beta test a neural device that feels more “real” than reality itself, everything she assumed about the nature of existence is thrown into question. Download the Demo If you play, please take our feedback survey! Steam Page Story Supernovas blaze in the night sky and major natural disasters are commonplace, but the gaming world is abuzz over a revolutionary virtual reality console. The Penta, developed by InterMense founder Jacob Lessard, promises a direct, neural connection more “real” than reality itself. But what does it truly mean for something to be real? When VR nerd Lilya Martel arrives at InterMense as a beta tester, she expects to spend the weekend battling her social anxiety in exchange for the opportunity to enter Vitalia, the flagship Penta simulation. But the creatures of Vitalia seem more intelligent than any current AI could possibly simulate. And between the physical side-effects of the device and suspicious explanations from the developers, clearly all is not as it seems at InterMense. Ben Evers, another beta tester, claims that Vitalia is the world in which he belongs - permanently. When his life is threatened, Lilya sees that she has become involved in something much riskier and more eye-opening than she realized. As Lilya, Ben, and Jacob’s fates intertwine, they must make some of the hardest decisions of their lives, and confront their own beliefs and perceptions of the nature of existence. Features A Thought-Provoking Narrative - with several mind-bending twists and two perspective characters, the story is both philosophically ambitious and deeply personal. Choices That Matter - a heavily branching story line makes the game re-playable. Your decisions have major consequences - ranging from shifting a character’s attitude, to placing them on a different story branch, to re-directing the outcome of the entire game. Expressive Character Art and Visuals - 14 characters (each with various poses and expressions), 12+ background scenes, 17+ CGs/special illustrations, 15+ ending panels. Character and Relationship-Building - rich character development, affected by your choices, and with opportunities for both romantic and non-romantic relationship-building. Romance is optional, and may be pursued from either Lilya or Jacob’s perspective. ^ Work in Progress CG Original Music and Sound Design - by the talented composer Chase Bethea. 16. Kickstarter Live now! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1183318884/false-elegy-the-dark-fantasy-visual-novel In order to find his lost friend, a divine entity has to bind with a beautiful demon corrupted by sin. With their lives connected as one, the only way to survive is by withstanding heaven and hell together. "This messed up world consists of those who fall and those who thrive off of the fallen. Whatever you choose, you'll be one of the two." Since the dawn of man, Ascendants have been seen soaring in the skies. To the humans, they are ethereal, divine and immortal beings; guardians of earth and protectors of humankind. But even among the Ascendants, there are those who have Fallen. Areon is an Ascendant who hunts the creatures born from sin; the Fallen. Together with his partner Eden, he purges the world little by little. Everything goes effortlessly until Areon is asked to participate in the Divinity project; a project to rehabilitate Fallen. Only the best Ascendants are chosen due to the dangers. During the project, a Divinity Link will be formed between the two until one Ascends, or one Falls. At the selection, the beautiful Ark caught his attention. A Fallen that had been caught three weeks ago, but never approached due to her insanely corrupted personality. Areon, undaunted by her ferocity, forms a link with Ark. However, he did not realize that his powers will be irrelevant. What will be challenged are his wits, resolve, and mental fortitude. What awaits him is a bigger task than he could have ever imagined. 17. Genre:Adventure, Investigative, Management, and psychological Visual Novel Platforms:PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 Languages:English (Fully Voiced), English (Text) Visual Style: DreamWorks style graphics mixed with dark and mythological themes. Progress:~20% of the game completed. (20 hour game) Estimated release:~Summer 2017 “Whether friend or tyrant, I will become a King!" Welcome to the Rift, a dimensional tear located in Canaan where the ancient gods were created and where you must prove your worthiness to lead the world of men. You have allies and the training needed to fight, but nothing will prepare you for the wonders and horrors of the unstable plains in the Rift. Manage Respect, Relationships, and Mental will when making decisions. Assigning team members to missions best suited for them. Discovering weaknesses to epic enemies through investigations. Collecting real world lore and in game lore by discovering hidden items. Unlocking secrets of the past by collecting memory gems. Making timed decisions and avoiding damage in high intensity situations. Leveling up your characters to specialize in unique skills. Time In the game, everything will cost time to complete and characters may be away, unable to do a task available. Time is managed by the player and he has 6 months to prepare to face Nun. Special events will happen at certain times such as full moon cycles, changing of season, etc. This will give the player a level of management that makes them feel immersed. Leveling Each character has core stats which helps them succeed in feats. Completing certain missions and training will gain you very limited talent points to specialize your character in lore friendly ways. Respect You are a leader. You must earn the respect of your soldiers! Decisions you make and the success of those decisions will affect the confidence your allies have in you. If you fail a lot, they will lose confidence and go rogue during critical decisions. You may even lose command. A true Pharaoh never loses command… Kinship While how successful you are in decision making and your sense in the field affects the way they see you, it does not help one bit on how they think of you as a person. In order to get on their good side, you must appeal to their innate personalities. One cannot please everyone so make your choices wisely. It is worth noting that Kinship affects how allies act when not around you or when not commanded. Stability You are the strongest. Unfortunately, you are also the most flawed… You have an issue with Dementia and you must suppress these voices throughout your time in the Rift. The tradeoff is considerable though because when you were young, and you let the voices run wild, you could do things others could only dream of. In these dark days, will you allow your mind to slip in order to wield more power or will you avoid such pleasures and rely on knowledge of self? The rift has stood for thousands of years, since the day Nun arrived from the planet Nibiru. Located in the barren lands of Canaan, this void was created to keep the outside world uncontaminated while Nun worked on his creations. He spent centuries studying the humans and when he figured out this world, he created ancients similar to the life found on his home planet. They warred with each other inside the Rift until only 3 families remained. When they left the Rift, Nun used a stability gem to alter reality and hide the incomprehensible damage done. But now, thousands of years since the great sundering, Nun has created another race of beings to combat his creations from ions past. In order for them to prove themselves, they must survive the Rift, as it were during the time of the ancients. Stability is no more! Can the mortals survive the Trials of the Rift? There are many different types of quests in Black Sands. We will briefly go through some of them to better understand the gameplay mechanics involved in each. In Black Sands, time, health, and deployment all work against you as you stride to prepare yourself for the final battle with Nun. Scouting - designed to seek new quests exclusively. Minimal danger Investigation - A quest that requires discipline and perception. Player must decipher material and decide what is important and not. Proper investigation rewards secrets. Tracking - This is an extremely heavy skill check category that requires quick decision making and a little luck. These missions are available only once before they go back into the quest pool. Social - This is a quest where you develop relationships with the other characters and learn more about them. Instant Events - Automatically happen when certain criteria are met. May have nothing to do with prior tasks. Group Events - The entire group must participate. Nun will go over your notes and inspect your facility whenever this happens. Epic Events - Storyline Events that are either triggered by actions or chose by the player. These tend to have more decision making then other events. Exploration - A quest designed to explore unknown locations. These quests have no prior knowledge so player must use their wits to move forward. The farther you get, the better the rewards. These missions can be ended at any time but there is no guarantee you can return. This game is directly inspired by Dragon Age and Telltale. Their strong narratives and crucial game changing decisions inspired me to design a visual novel unlike any before it. Additional motivation was found in the way Hollywood depicts middle eastern and Saharan people. We do a lot of research and use annotations in game to teach the actual history behind the fantasy of our world. Future We will be converting all sprites to Live2d and making them look a bit more realistic and 20x more brutal. The goal is to make this like Conan while having the art leveling of pixar, dreamworks. How can I help? Follow us on facebook, Cosplay our characters, Share the hell out of this, and Pay homage to the gods by buying some of our merchandise. Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter and remember, Nun sees all. We have these posters and more. You can support us while getting something tangible that will uplift both you and your families. The beta demo is a testament to what we've been doing these past couple of months, and we're proud of how much the game has evolved since its alpha phase. This is more or less how the final game is going to look/feel like, and covers the same scenes as alpha. Except for that, every element from the first demo was changed. Beta is now feature complete, but we're continuously enhancing every aspect of the game in preparation for the full release. Please take note that not everything you'll see in this demo is final. After you finish playing the game, please answer this short survey we've prepared. We value your feedback, so please don't hesitate to tell us what you think! We'll use the data gathered to further improve the game. And as a token of our appreciation, all survey respondents will receive a special wallpaper! Questions about this new demo: 1. Do you like it? 23. VOTE YES ON GREENLIGHT “Simon Aubrey has brought a unique edge to New York seafood dining that hasn’t been since Eric Ripert took the helm at “Le Bernardin”. With the opening of “Simon the Fisherman” in Midtown Manhattan, New Yorkers now have access to what I personally consider the forefront in western cuisine. With stellar dishes like his “Kingfish Carpaccio” and his “Lobster Risoni” it looks like this Michelin-starred British chef is set to make a big mark in the New York dining scene. I am looking forward to seeing what he will come up with next.”Lionel Peng – Editor-in-chief of “Eat New York” magazineWith 2 Michelin stars under his wing and a restaurant that is the toast of New York high society, one could be forgiven for assuming that Simon Aubrey was on his path to becoming the next Heston Blumenthal or Gordon Ramsay. Unfortunately for him, the terrible combination of a visit by the Mayor of New York and the accidental purchase of some day-old razor clams by his sous-chef has led to his flagship restaurant, “Simon the Fisherman”, to be closed by the FDA and with that the end of his dreams of becoming America’s favourite British chef.Struggling with depression due to the closure of his restaurant and the subsequent media backlash, Ben Kekoa, Simon’s best friend and attorney, has offered Simon the use of his luxury apartment in Waikiki, Honolulu. In Hawaii Simon befriends local Hawaiians who teach him important life lessons and change his attitude about life. “The Aloha Bakery” is an inspirational romantic comedy Visual Novel featuring:* A fun and jolly burger making mini-game* A charming, uplifting and heart-warming story* Relaxing Ukulele based soundtrack* Beautifully drawn sprites and CG’s* Multiple Endings* Early branching story (lots of replay value)Writer/DirectorSilverTailComposerAntonio Lorenzo CarinoProgrammerCarlo AntonioCharacter and CG ArtistRosurrihttps://www.facebook.com/Rosuuri https://twitter.com/rosuuri Additional ArtMedina

  25. “For thousands of years we have fought bloody wars that have cost millions of lives. Do you know why we had so much conflict? Simple. Resources. We killed and maimed each other so we could have a bigger piece of the pie. So we could have more. Today we have grown more resource hungry than we have ever been and we are milking our planet dry. So what can we do to satisfy the extreme thirst we have developed? War? No, no need for such savagery. The answer does not lie here on earth but in the heavens above us. We must look to the stars for the ore we so desperately need. Yes, I am talking about asteroid mining. Now I see you all have your hands raised, no doubt you will scream at me that this is not possible and that we do not have the technology available to us. That is where you are wrong… ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the world’s first fully functioning cold fusion reactor…” Sir Alfred Richardson CBE, FRS, – Research & Development Director of the Royal Holloway Space Corporation VOTE YES ON With the perfection of the cold fusion reactor under their wing the Royal Holloway Space Corporation has it’s eyes firmly set in the stars. Well, better said, they have their eyes firmly set on nearby asteroids. Why? Asteroid mining for precious and rare metals of course!
