So... there is a vn reading club so why not one for books? I'm really bad at creating topics and doing this kind of stuff but I'll try to do my best, anyone can replace me if they want to because I'm sure they will do a better job.

This month or maybe for this week I propose a really short book that left me speechless the whole way through that I was reading it and it's really short (only a couple of hours of reading)

I think it is free (I saw it on many webs to download it for free)

1 Litre no Namida  is a dramatic tragedy diary written by Aya Kitō published shortly before her death.

The diary, a true story based on her own life, was originally written in first person. It is about a girl coping with her teenage life along with a degenerative disease. She keeps a diary of not only what she does but how she feels and the hardships she must endure. Initially, the diary's purpose was for Kitō to chronicle impressions she had about how the disease was affecting her daily life. As the disease progressed, however, the diary became Kitō's outlet for describing the intense personal struggles she underwent in coping, adapting, and ultimately trying to survive her disease. As she notes in one entry, "I write because writing is evidence that I am still alive."

Anyone can submit books and we can make a pool for the next one, I think short books would be better but anything goes as long as you can download  buy them on the internet...

Disney villain songs tend to be my favorite in the movies, specifically the songs in Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast.
My favorite Disney song is what I previously posted (Hellfire), but it's followed by this number:

Classy as fuck. Disney animation at its subtlest and finest.

Has a somewhat epic feeling to it. Of course Hakuna Matata is also a staple from this.

    Aw yeees.

Comedy is overrated and overused in VNs. If 75% of the comedy was taken out from VNs and replaced with drama or something worth reading, we would have far better works.

Not really a fan of western animated movies, though I do enjoy a few from Disney like The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I do like a lot of animation in regular ol' cartoon shows though. The Amazing World Of Gumball isn't a particularly great show, but the animation is beautiful. The Last Airbender and Korra are both nicely animated and pretty good, and then there's the comedy side of things with stuff like South Park, Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Bob's Burgers. Though I still believe that the only western animated shows that have a decent plot and look good in the last decade are Korra and The Last Airbender, the rest is either just comedy and the like.

Second option would be Rewrite, but I still recommend LB! because LB = most heroines' routes awesome + even more awesome final route. As for Rewrite = awesome heroines' routes + really bad final route.

Romantic love is overrated, overused, and mostly badly done. Overrated because other interpersonal relationships, such as friendship, are much more beautiful. Overused, because there are too many VNs and other storytelling media that have romance as a central element (there should be more friendship routes).

And badly done because... Let me point out. In VNs: too much ichaicha, with little "real" romance. In LNs: romance is too slow. Anime and manga are the same thing. And Western stuff: too much appeal to the "sexual" side AND most men are flirty jerks and most women are bitches. Hardly ever there are good romantic scenes or couples with real chemistry.

I'm not saying there aren't exceptions. There are great romances, but ironically, most never come from a story that's centered around romance, and those are very rare.

*explodes in a ball of hype*

    *ahem*

Now, I personally love melodrama. Simply put, I love over the top emotions and situations, and all things that appeal to the emotions really. I am a feels masochist after all, so anything that directly appeals to my emotions with situations that are dosed in an extra coating of emotional intensity is good in my books. I don't come into visual novels, or any entertainment medium for that matter, looking for something I can easily find in real life; that is to say, normal drama.

My love for melodrama is why I am so hyped to read these iconic chuuni stories as I improve my Japanese. Chuuni tends to be HUGE in the melodrama department, and that kind of thing is perfect for me as it makes me want to cry tears of epic... or something along those lines.
