  1. For the pink sakura thing, see this: http://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/images/fotolife/a/aki1127/20151210/20151210004251.png If you like it, then try it. Also, it involves music and literature as themes.
  2. No chance for Mirai Nostalgia?
  3. You put both on the same level, so Gin`iro is also 神ゲー?
  4. Hm... I did start playing Tayutama (currently near the end of the common route), but I just hate the crap out of Mashiro. Seriously, I don't get why the jap dudes like her so much. She's abusive, jealous, possessive, and stupid (her child version was so much better...). Because of that and the excessively long complicated lines of the protagonist's father (that drains out every jap beginner's energy), I ended up stalling it. But still, it was a very pleasant game. I was going to start with Mifuyu's path, then Ameri's, then Yumina, and last and least Mashiro's. I always do best girl--->worst girl.
  5. You got it wrong. I was talking about Miranosu. There is also a Hapumaher post on the VN of the month thread and a couple on his blog...
  6. Just to let you know, I still visit Fuwa every day just to check your blog. Despite the fact that our opinions sometimes are very different (such as your dislike for Rewrite, and your love for Grisaia), I can always see where you are coming from. Like, if it wasn't for this blog, I probably would have never started learning Japanese (your small reviews helped me see the big world of untranslated VNs I was missing, especially the Chuu2. My dream is to one day be able to read Tokyo Necro, Silverio Vendetta, and all those cool-looking Chuu2.). Luckily, we share the same dislike for ichaicha/icharabu, so whenever you mention this flaw in a review, I mark that game so I will never touch it. I'm currently playing Miranosu (only in the beginning, tho), since Hapymaher is way too complicated for me yet. I hope it turns out as good as you think it is. I tried to find a review/comment of your on that game, but I couldn't find it, unfortunately; just that you consider it a kamige.
  7. You did classify Hatsusaku as a kamige. Then, is Floflo one as well?
  8. Also, something I forgot to mention: have you ever read Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou? You might want to check it out. It also deals with apocalypse (in a very different way, tho) and the art is absolutely stunning. Not only it is beautiful, it communicates the essence of the manga in a way is, as Digibro said, hard to describe by words. From glances to smiles and backgrounds, it holds a special place in my heart. The story and characters, although good, would never be able to carry this masterpiece by themselves imo.
  9. Dude, I will say I disagree with you, but Im very very glad to find someone like you. In my opinion, all elements of a work of fiction must be treated equally. Writing can be just as powerful as art or cause the same amount of damage, if bad, imo. I also watched that video but what opened my mind about the subject was this post. Before reading that, I also thought that story and characters> everything else. But then, I started searching and studying more and I finally realize art, soundtrack, animation, voice acting, etc. can all bring emotions and be intelectually stimulating just like story and characters. It makes me sick seeing people saying stuff like: "I dont care about art" because that is not an opinion, that is a lie. People 'think' they dont care about art because they never studied how it is used and thus do not realize its impact. Those people tend to think good art is just being pretty and therefore it is easier to make than a good story. Now even if I disagree that writing is inferior to art or soundtrack, it makes me really glad to see people like you, at least to balance the amount of overrate writing gets from the community.
  10. Is the VN of the month a kamige? Asking thos cuz you havent commented about this on its post, if I remember correctly...
  11. Ok, so my choice is Silver. Based on his character, silver will give him a sense of balance and justice, as well as compassion, that are results of his wisdom. As silver is also closer to white, it also represents his kindness. Plus, it's the color that fits him best imo. I would prefer a lighter silver than the one on that image, though. However, my suggestion is still valid. About those triangular shapes and sharp lines, I think you should consider making a few changes at least. Like, I think it would work if Vritra were a Deva different from the rest, with his exterior appearance representing his Deva origin, while still different on the outside. But since he is an Asura, I think those forms do not work really well. You can still convey strength using square forms, or try rounded triangles to convey power and at the same time kindness.
  12. Could you please write more details about his personality or about his character in general? There is too few information. Also, what is your intention with his design? You say he's not evil, but the amount of triangular shapes and sharp lines he has says otherwise. If you are trying to 'trick' the player with something like "Jerk with a Heart of Gold" or subverting a trope, then it's fine. However, if your intention is not something like that, you should work again on his shapes before deciding any color. But then it's hard to say anything concrete unless I have more details about him.
  13. I would be pretty curious to see your opinion on Tayutama (since it's a kamige and it's getting a sequel this year). Voted for the otomege, because I've never seen your opinion on an otomege, so that might be nice as well.
  14. @TexasDice, right, I got your point. I just don't think it's good to label those kind of reviews objective, because people will understand something completely different (like the MAL elitists' definition of objectivity). A lot on my reviews is influenced by my personal tastes, and I'll try to make an effort to make what is heavily based on my tastes more clear next time I review a VN. However, personal bias will still integrate my ratings, and I don't think one should try to get rid of it. Because my tastes can be similar to other people's and sometimes people's opinion on a certain subject does not differ that much, with some exceptions. Also, do you read Clephas' blog entries? His comments are exactly the way you want. He always makes it clear when there is a definite bias on his opinion on a certain VN. He hates moege, but calls some of them kamige, etc. Plus, his opinions on VNs evaluates them with its own terms and not with some pre-conceived-so-called-objective notions many anime fans use.
