Kyoroto reacted to Wildbreed in Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai || Star Weaving ☆ Dreaming of the Future
Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai || 星織ユメミライ
**Summary**
This walkthrough is based on the Fan Translated version of Hoshi Ori by Tsurezure Scans. The Complete Patch was released on 3rd April 2018. This VN was originally released by Toneworks back in 2014, More Info about this VN can be found on its official Website.
**Description**
Ryousuke moved back to his hometown of Shionagi, which he had been away from for seven years, and transferred into his new school in the middle of the summer. He reunited with his childhood friend Marika, met the sole astronomy club member Sora and made new friends among his classmates. He joined the event management committee to enjoy his school life even more. Along the way, he noticed the dreams of the girls around him, along with his own desires to be closer to them. On this particular summer day begins a love story that extends towards the future.
**Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order**
This VN is pretty straightforward and has easy choices, most people wont need to use this guide, However if you get stuck somewhere you can use this guide as a reference. This VN consists of 6 main heroines. The Heroine routes can be played in any order. There are some Touko route spoilers in Rikka route.
Save / Load point system will be implemented in this walkthrough for convenience purposes.
It is also worth noting that once you clear a route, it can be played directly from the route selection screen that appears after clearing any route (this route selection screen appears when you start a new game from the main menu).
When you're asked to enter Name on the Check in sheet.. Note that the default name ( Hino Ryousuke ) is voiced by all the characters in the game. Any other name you choose will not be voiced. so it is recommended that you use the default character name
You can use the Protagonist Smartphone to take ingame screenshots using the Camera app on the smartphone, The said images can be accessed using the album App.
**Route Guideline**
Common Route
Individual Routes
Ousaka Sora
Narusawa Rikka
Yukimura Touko
Okihara Misa
Shinozaki Marika
Segawa Natsuki

This walkthrough was referenced from Seiya-Saiga , as well as my own playthroughs.

Kyoroto reacted to Formlose Gestalt in Light's parent company is gone
Light just posted this link on twitter:
http://www.light.gr.jp/important/index.html
Google Translate says that Lights' parent company Greenwood Co., Ltd. is dissolving and Light is effectively gone.
The Silvario Team is apparently preparing their next game under a different company.
Right now I am a bit shell-shocked. This is really sad news. ;_;

Update 1 (12:45 AM EST)
Technical issues have caused a hiccup in tonight's upgrade process. Going to ping Nay and we'll try again later today. For now, the forums and front site will be put back online.
Original Message:
Forums Going Offline at 12:00 (Midnight) EST
In approximately 1.5 hours (at the time this goes live), the forums will be going offline for an unknown amount of time so that I can perform an outrageous amount of updates and fixes. I will announce when the forums are back online on our Twitter account (link). Please panic, and may the VN gods have mercy on our souls.
(Aside: after the forums are updated -- or irreparably broken -- I will also be working on the front site. Once that's done, if I have any energy and strength left in my body, I will try and make a post updating the community about recent events which have caused my absence, and briefly touch on ways we can move forward.)

Kyoroto reacted to zxdvas in Feeling Uneasy near human
I am not the only person when I say that I feel uncomfortable near other human. But there are different reasons for that so I will elaborate.
In the modern society which each person compete for a better job, a better spouse and in general a better life. One soon find the rest of humanity an obstacle to his happiness. Temporary bond is formed to pursue the same interest as in a company, but once the first opportunity comes there will be more than a dozen of people willingly to stab you in the back as long as they can get away with it. So you have to know who to trust and who not to. To avoid suspicion you have to pretend. Whoever act differently would soon find many enemies and no allies.
I find this game of hypocrisy and proud, interest and glory unappealing. I abstain from it as much as possible. This brings me more disdain than I think is justly due. They can live their lives as they want it but just leave me alone. But they just have to insist their life is intrinsically more noble. Even if that is true it would be more prudent to spend time on what they care and not convincing others to follow. So I live day after day as if I am a criminal waiting to be prosecuted. Only the books, VN and a few other hobbies keep my sanity intact. I wonder how long this can last.

Kyoroto reacted to namiultedjapanXD in VNs for learning Japanese
One of my first VNs I read in Japanese was Aikagi. Its a short (2-10 hrs) vanilla and heartwarming story that I found to be a good start. It's not the most exciting VN out there but I like to read a nice romance VN every now and then. The art is great and the sentences are short. The vocab is basically 100% slice of life so it is very easy. Every time I start a untranslated VN my reading pace is slow until I get a little bit further in where I get the flow that writer intended. At that point I am able to read pretty quick which makes it very fun to read.

Kyoroto reacted to AustriaVNFan in Hidden Pearls
I am interested: what VNs have you found by pure random that hardly anyone talks about and that have a rating at least below 7.5 on VNDB but that you found really good?
One such VN for me is Hanachirasu
I usually don't read such short VNs but I found that one really captivating although you have to be somewhat into sword fights. I know it is not really unknown to real VN fans but still...

Kyoroto reacted to AustriaVNFan in Hello everyone
After reading VNs for over 2 years now and coming here again and again to either read some walkthorughs or to get ideas for new VNs to read I decided to create an acount, something I usually never do. But I did so in this case because I know that the VN genre will continue to fascinate me for a long time to come and it is fun to discuss VN related things.
As my name may indicate I am not a native English speaker so please be lenient with me if I use overly complicated or weird expressions from time to time.
Also, as you may see from my vndb profile, I read a lot of different VNs, I am not stuck with just one kind of VNs. A good story is the most important thing for me, although I also like romance and good heroines to chase. Mind you, I even read an otome VN although I am male and might do so again, if the story is good.
And I will conclude this post with a real newbie question: How can I change my profile pic? I mean the one on the left side of the posts - the one which is currently just the letter 'A' in my case? Help is very much appreciated!

Kyoroto reacted to littleshogun in Translated Chuuni VNs?
If you count VN RPG as chuuni VNs like mod Clepas did, then I would recommend both of Eien no Aselia and Seinarukana since both of those were duology. Other than that, both of Rance series (Especially VI and Sengoku) and Evenicle sounds like the good choices. Oh and since Nandemonai mentioned Steins Gate, let me recommend both of Chaos Head and Chaos Child here although it's more in line with mystery VN though (It's still fit because of the swords existence). For the last recommendations, I'll recommend you Umineko (And the sequel Chiru) here and even though it's a mystery VN you'll see why I recommend this later. I hope that my recommendations here will be helpful to you just in case you still didn't read those VNs.

Kyoroto reacted to Clephas in Clephas List: VNs with a Unique/Capable protagonist
Perhaps the most universal complaint of those who read Japanese VNs, regardless of their tastes, is the bland, non-people, average protagonists that make up better than 90% of all VN protagonists. This trend began with the first moege, as a technique to allow people to self-insert more easily, but the tradition has worked against VNs more than it has worked for them, with protagonists with unique quirks turning out to be almost as important to a VN's lasting popularity as heroine quality.
Unfortunately for those new to VNs, it is impossible to tell at a glance whether a protagonist will be interesting or not based on the cover, since most protagonists don't have a tachie, voice-acting, or a character description on the official site, lol.
So, as a service to my fellow Fuwans, I decided to go ahead and make this list. The greater majority of these games will be untranslated, but I will go ahead and list ones that are translated that I know of. Feel free to help me add to the list, though this one is for Japanese-origin games, not EVNs.
The baseline for these protagonists will be that they are either unique, unusual, or capable (intelligent, talented, and/or skilled at something and have something approaching a personality) without deliberate nerfing of their qualities to make heroines stand out more. Harem protagonists who are merely kind to everyone will not count for the purpose of this list, and characters whose personality/capabilities/talents/skills get toned down in the heroine routes will also not qualify.

Tokyo Babel
Ayakashibito
Hello, Lady (soon)
Hapymaher

Dracu-riot (assuming the official release comes out)

Majikoi
Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road (Dai only seems sheeple on the surface... he has enough depth as a character to qualify)
Eien no Aselia (while his personality is standard for a jrpg protagonist, it has enough twists and unique qualities to make the list)
Seinarukana (similar to above)
Fata Morgana no Yakata (I wavered because of the way the game is structured, but I chose to list it anyway)
Grisaia series
Kikokugai
Demonbane
11eyes
Rewrite (I hate this protagonist, but he stands out, even if he is a dumbass)

For those who wonder why I didn't include Tsuki ni Yorisou, Otome no Sahou 2, the reason is pretty simple... in every path, the protagonist's individuality vanishes and he becomes enslaved to the heroine's character needs.

Kyoroto reacted to Alcorin in Hello there~
Nice to meet you :3 I'm a new lurker here, adding to the ever-growing list of people too shy to speak up even on the Internet. I may have opinions on things, sure, but I'm always afraid that I'm not informed enough to speak them. I've been reading and loving VNs for some four years now (starting with Hakuoki in 2014), but I actually hadn't read 99% of the stuff that everyone is gushing about, like Fate/Stay Night or Steins;Gate... It's a rather awkward position to be in, to be honest ^^' (I'm getting to it, I swear, I'm just REALLY slow). If you have any BL or yuri recommendations, please let me know, I love that stuff :3 (I’d prefer if it wasn’t too sexualized, but I can deal if it is). Or heck, just recommend anything good, I’m not biased towards anything (other than porn). Bonus points for interesting protagonists, friends-to-lovers and bromance.
What else to say… I’m an avid shipper. Like, really. I can ship literally anything, especially if it has no chance of becoming canon :’) It’s gotten to the point where I had to make a list just to keep track of it all. I speak Polish and English (and some VERY basic German), hope to learn Japanese and Spanish once I’m through with college (English and game design, if you were curious - a strange combination, I know). I like to write, by which I mean that I’m awful at it and I hate everything I make, but it’s fun to come up with stuff so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Every song can be improved by a Metal cover, period. Dark Souls and Hakuoki are the only games I’ve bought twice, I just love them too much <3 And, umm… Ok, that’s it. I’ve kept you long enough.
Let’s have some fun!

Anyway, I'm glad I entered Fuwa. I've had the chance to discuss the adventures in VN land with great, super friendly people and that made it all the more enjoyable.
So, for the year to come, thank you for everything and yoroshiku onegai shimasu ne.

Kyoroto reacted to Plk_Lesiak in I have lost faith in VN
Basically what @Dreamysyu said, although I believe that a piece of fiction can change someone's life in the right circumstances, both for better and for worse. Everything we come in contact with leave a mark and I personally find both anime and VNs very stimulating, emotionally and intellectually.
Still, I don't see a reason to consider VNs THAT special in this regard. I really like the formula and consider it much less mindrending than gameplay-focused video games, but it's still just a form of leisure. I devote my time to VNs because I enjoy them, not because I see some higher purpose to their existance. You can always hope for certain VNs to positively influence someone, but you shouldn't expect it on a regular basis - most of them are just 2D waifu games anyways, they're made to entertain you, not to give you life lessons or coach you into being a better person.
-
Kyoroto reacted to Dreamysyu in I have lost faith in VN
Good VNs can change you exactly as much as the other types of media. They can give you new perspectives of your own life, or show you some new ideas you'd never come up with on your own. At the same time, you should never expect too much from them, just like you shouldn't expect too much from pretty much any fictional story. They can serve as a catalyst for a change in you, but in the end, it's always the real-life experience that does the actual change.
If you want your life to become less boring, go out and find another, more active hobby, something that appeals to you personally. It would be the best if it involves talking to the other people. No matter how engaged you may become in books/movies/VNs, the things described there are are experienced by the characters, not by you. They aren't useless though. Fiction generally makes you a lot more open-minded, and reading a nice book isn't really the worst way to spend your free time when you just want to relax.

Kyoroto reacted to Nosebleed in Dracu-Riot! Completion Project
Dracu-Riot! Completion Project
Project Info:
As i said in a previous post, if the Dracu-Riot scripts were released, I will translate Miu's route, and that's exactly what I'm announcing in this thread.
But I'm not alone in this crusade, I've partnered with the wonderful people at The Oxford Comma is Superior Subs so we can deliver the best possible final product and lay the Dracu-Riot memes to rest. We also got several people from the Fuwanovel community to help speed up things even more.
How is the project going to go down, you ask. Well you can read this post if you want detailed info, but the tl;dr version is that we are aiming to release multiple patches.
The first patch aims to translate the remainder of Miu's route as well as any remaining untranslated content (images, menus, etc.) with complete editing to polish the current patch.
We are going to try and release this in about 2 months, if everything goes according to plan.
The second patch is meant to be more heavily translation checked as that's when Fiddle has enough free time to go over the whole game.
There is no ETA for this second patch.
This doesn't mean the first patch will be terrible, we will of course strive for a good product, but we would still like to inform you of our schedule. If we waited for Fiddle to be completely free, it would take much more time to release Miu's route, and so we've decided to do it this way.
I hope you look forward to future updates.
FAQ:
Why not just make a Miu partial patch, why do you want to go over the whole game?
There are actually 3 main reasons for this:
The first and biggest one is that Insem's patch only works with the physical version of Dracu-Riot! which is very hard to get in the West and we want to make a new patch that works on both the physical and digital versions of the game, this way people can purchase the digital version and patch it, thus supporting Yuzusoft. The second one is that we want to americanize the writing style as well as make sure everything is edited properly, because Insem didn't have time to finish the whole thing. The last one is translation checking. Although we don't doubt Insem's abilities, we really want to try and make sure the translation is accurate. We also want to include translation notes in the game. Only 2 months? That seems way too fast.
2 months is indeed fast, if we were translating the entire game, but we're actually only translating about 4,000 lines and we're splitting those lines between two main translators, this will hopefully make that 2 month deadline possible.
Please do note we will not jeopardize translation quality for the sake of reaching the deadline. If we can not make it in time, we will delay the release until we're satisfied with the end result.
Will the translation have memes?
Yes, but only the dankest ones.
Why aren't The Oxford Comma people making the announcement here?
So I can get those sweet, sweet internet points.
I want to help!
Contact @Fiddle and beat him in a pipe bag showdown (plaid skirt is mandatory).

Kyoroto reacted to Darklord Rooke in Key is a Joke
I admit when I saw the title of this thread, I grabbed my car key and thought ‘yes I agree with you – this key IS a joke! Look how fat it is, and all these useless buttons.’ But then I realise you were talking about Key the VN company.
And I completely agree with you there, also. The only Key VN I actually liked was Kanon, and I’m anticipating Angel Beats to be pretty lacklustre
…
Then you started talking about figures, which I have no knowledge about. But did you just say the bigger figure was ‘cheaper’? Hmmm … what’s the catc-WHOA! 20,000 yen?!

Kyoroto reacted to Arcadeotic in Bishoujo Mangekyou English TL begins
Wow,
Just wow...
I never honestly would've thought, that this project of mine would have gotten such a positive reception. Now I feel really pumped about this.
And thus, I officially announce the Bishoujo Mangekyou -Norawareshi Densetsu no Shoujo- English translation project started!
In the beginning, I only thought about translating it without the Japanese script, as this was basically a passion-project to further develop my English skills, but now that I have seen the magnitude of positive responses and the number of people who actually want to read this title, I have decided to do things a little differently. As you know, normally in a VN TL project, first comes translation, then editing and the quality checking. I decided to add something else to this process:
1. Translation: I basically translate the title to English from Finnish
2. The Clean-Up: I go through the translated script with the Japanese script, and correct as many mistakes as I possibly can
3. The editing and QC
This way I can make the final project with more quality and hopefully not as many grammatical errors. This is the shortened version of how the TL:ing will go down, I hope you'll look forward to it. i'll try to get the translation to an adequate state in an month or two, but you never do know about these things. Hope to see you soon, and hope you look forward to it.
