  1. Huh, I don't think so, I took a look at many screenshots and the grammar never stroke me even once as awful as Ar Tonelico 1's where every single dialogue feel soooo unnatural it is awkward. And in the case I'm wrong, well, I'd better avoid Ar nosurge then.
  2. Wanted to play Ar Tonelico 1 but the writing (or translation) is so awful I can't bring myself to feel a bit concerned and immerged, a shame because I think it has a lot of potential after having spent a few hours in it. I think I'll tale a look at Ar nosurge, I hope a Ciel nosurge summary will be enough to appreciate the story.
  3. Stop crying and wait for more Kuki
  4. 1- Comyu 2- Rose Guns Days 3- Umineko 4- Hanachirasu 5- Yu-No
  5. Umineko and RGD got absolutely amazing chara-design, R07 is definitely very good at this, he just shouldn't be drawing.
  6. Scenario : Narahara Ittetsu Composers : Rokugen Alice, Dai, Hideyuki Fukasawa, M.U.T.S music studio, -45, zts OP/ED : Blueberry&Yogurt Character Design : Ryukishi07 Artist : AKIRA VA : Kobayashi Norio Ookawa Tooru Tanaka Ryouko Asaki Risa Suwabe Jun'ichi Nakata Jouji Furukawa Tetsuto Nozuki Mahiru Fujiwara Mioko Fujiwara Keiji Ok I'll stop there, there is definitely too many voice actors I'm fond of
  7. what they're just both overpowered but otherwise they don't resemble each other at all
  8. Faris, Ruka and Mayuri. All from Steins;Gate. I could totally buy and burn dakimakura of them. They are just insufferable and are one of the major reasons why Steins;Gate disappointed me. Coco from Ever17 is also a pretty serious contender
  9. Hinaori Kagome. And who cares about the rest?
  10. I am really hesitant to purchase Gahkthun, MG sells it a very high price without any bonus content or even a mere physical copy but at the same time buying it will help fostering more Liar-Soft in the west. As of now I could totally kill to read Shining Night too. :V Man, if only JAST had published the VN the price would be justified, I always liked their releases.
  11. It's funny to try to think about "WaB-verse" powerlevels. After reading Inganock,Sharnoth and Gahkthun I'm believing M is the strongest character. (i could hardly think of a more boring question considering how interesting those VNs are )
  12. Really sickening. Visuals, more important than soundtrack? I seriously hope it's a bad joke. (same goes for most of the results)
  13. Higanbana is pretty relevant when it comes to bullying. Actually, it's the main topic of the VN. I recommend it.
  14. "Because a real novel is different from a visual novel and maybe I just want to experiment something new?"
  15. But Rewrite is one of the very few VNs to be actually funny, unlike Little Busters or Clannad (to quote other Key titles) that are full of boring tropes and previsible situations. Romeo's humor is awesome, it's absurd and clever at the same time. It's obvious from the start, mostly by reading Kotarou's lines, that it wasn't written the same way as a standard Key VN and it's a good thing.
  16. Well not really, I don't speak japanese myself (not yet) but I'm acquainted to pretty big VN consumers and they all say that there isn't THAT much more interesting untranslated VNs. But it's obvious, most of translators won't waste their time translating shitty titles. I'm not fond of arguing with ad populum but MLA is still pretty damn loved by japanese people. Stop talking about "untranslated VNs" like it's a whole different universe with masterpieces everywhere. Also don't forget that most VNs are galge, no matter the language, and that alone give the genre extremely mediocre standards. If it wasn't for Muramasa I would've already stopped learning japanese, I thought I could pile up a good hundred of very good titles but I find my wishlist pretty empty (considering what I expected) https://vndb.org/u67360/wish
  17. Muv-Luv Alternative is pretty much a masterpiece that is as entertaining as it is interesting and very little VNs can do that (and Extra is far better than people say, but only in retrospect, the amount of foreshadowing the reader comes across is just stunning) . Definitely above 90% of VNs titles, the only real flaw is the awful character-design with fucking too much female characters, while the plot justify the harem as something other than blatant otaku-pandering it still feels wrong. But hey, MLA deserves its reputation, unlike Clannad and Steins;Gate.
  18. Coµ I'd say, for many reasons; the main one being the characters, especially Kagome and Gasai. This VN affected me personally and it really encouraged me in a lot of things, I never felt as free as I did after reading Coµ, the fact that it's really open to interpretations helped too. Rose Guns Days and Umineko are not too far away though.
  19. I'm currently through Swan Song and Aroe is goddamn obnoxious, I never hated a character so much since Faris and Mayuri. Why did the author thought it was a good idea to give her such a horrible personality (and voice) even if it's justified? I hope she'll end up slaughtered by a grizzly.
  20. I came across that one actually, but as you said the cover art is confusing so I wasn't sure. If it's safe then my wallet is ready, thanks!
