    White Album 2 Mini-After Story

    https://vndb.org/v16493
    Description
    Howdy
The patch will include translations for White Album 2 Mini-After Story.
    Mini-After Story features the following:
-After Story for Kazusa True End
-After Story for Kazusa Normal End
-After Story for Setsuna True End
-A whole host of digital novels, translated by www.wa2analysis.com
-A whole host of audio dramas depicting events that take place during and after base game story.
Audio dramas will not be translated in-game due to engine limitations. Instead, we have opted to recreate the audio dramas in the form of hand-crafted videos using in-game assets and .srt format subtitles. Here's how it will look.

This just has short after stories and is standalone:

Yes it does have a plot and a good one at that but in the end that is subjective, you need to read all 4 episodes to understand the story.

Man, I have to say that White Album is being great so far! I'm still in the beginning of the Introductory Chapter [which was also covered in the anime version] but I'm already hooked.
I love Little Busters, but it is a VN that at the time I first read it I could not fully appreciate, not because I didn't like it, but because I didn't understand it. Since I still have the Ex routes to read blind, I decided it would be nice to read everything again knowing about the true nature of the story so I can enjoy the hints and nuances in the characters' routes.
My backlog is also packed with many VNs and books to read, but I decided to devote only one hour per day to read LB while I do other readings at the same time.

Finished Seabed two days ago and since then I'm sad because it ended but I'm also enjoying White Album 2! Also started to reread Little Busters!

Same. Actually I was interested in it even before the whole "controversy" - on the contrary, I was quite happy that original developer is releasing non-porn version for PC (and that said version also includes Japanese text).
And here's the link to the game's page, where the writer talks about all those changes:
    https://laplacian.jp/yonagi/en/column/column-05/
Now, if someone would be so kind to port Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai - Converted Edition to PC I'd be really happy, since so far it isn't playable in emulators...
(It kind of runs on Vita3k, but without sound and it's rather glitchy)

I've been following the whole "controversy" on Reddit and I honestly don't see the problem. Other companies have "censored" their games to release on Steam - and I use quotation marks because many have pointed out that Cyanotype's sex scenes were NOT written by the author of the game and were taken out because the company AND said author decided to. And instead of just removing them and done, they actually wrote more content, drew new CGs and added a whole chunck of new content. The debate around the age/clothing of one of the characters is another that I don't follow - why do people care so much about having a heroine that is a child having sex with a teacher to the point of prefering to have that instead of a more mature student with THE EXACT SAME PLOT? I mean, it's literally the same thing but with way less controversy. And, again, it was done by the author who wrote the game and the company who developed it, which pretty much denies the whole "the author's original intention" that people seemed to be using a lot to attack the game and Laplacian.
The only "controversy" in this situation was that twitter account mocking those who were complaining - that I understand why it drove some people mad.
It's funny because before the whole fuss surrounding the VN I didn't even know it was a thing. Now, I'm pretty interested in buying and playing it.

I'm reading things in Japanese for many years now and I've to say that when I really care for what I'm reading I'll 100% chose to read the JP version even if I've the English or French version at disposition. I was kinda surprised to act like this at first, but that's how big a quality difference there is to me, even with reputed good translators.
Well, I'm arriving to my point : although I eventually switched back to JP version, I've read a bit of Primal Hearts 2 in English and I felt that at least the beginning was quite well translated.

Hmm the ones I'd recommend you have already played/started playing and, I might add, given bad scores lol
You could try Swan Song - it's not horror, but instead a very depressing post-tragedy story.

The titles I've read have seemed fine to me, but I can't really say anything about the actual accuracy of the translations since I haven't compared them to the Japanese originals.
The only thing that annoys me somewhat is that they remove honorifics, opting instead for the use of "brother", "Mr." and such.

For biggername titles, their translations are good. For shorter and less noteworthy VNs, it's a mixed bag. Nukige and similar suffer from some obvious QC and editing issues, but are nonetheless playable. If you're looking to grab biggername VNs from them, it should be fine. However, for titles not available on Steam, you may have trouble buying them directly through their own site. Some cards just don't work, and you have to go to Offgamers to buy coins (the currency their site uses).

I just want to know, am I the only person who hated that complete asspull of a "plot twist" in G-Senjou no Maou?
Literally this breaks the very first rule of Knox's rules for Mystery stories: "The criminal must be someone mentioned in the early part of the story, but must not be anyone whose thoughts the reader has been allowed to follow." There are other reasons why I think G-Senjou no Maou is a crappy VN, but this is the factor that has always pissed me off the most. Mostly because I rarely see people talk about this very obvious and significant oversight. At least the soundtrack is good, was probably the only thing that kept me engaged enough to finish the VN...

Hopefully they find a way around it that doesn't involve cutting out certain pieces of dialogue. Luckily the 18+ content is pretty late game from what I remember, so hopefully it doesn't affect the game too much.

I'm pretty torn about this one. I plan to read it, but I don't know if it's worth skipping the +18 content in this case. At the same time, the idea of having more content on the Switch makes me want to try it when it launches on that platform.

Perhaps, I worded it slightly incorrectly. I mean, it's not exactly a good adaptation, but it's still a good anime on its own if you don't compare it to the VN.

    World End Syndrome on switch!
Little Busters and Planetarian, by the same company that made Clannad, are also on the Switch. You should read all their games if you enjoyed Clannad.
Aokana is also pretty cool and also available on nintendo's platform.
