I'm afraid that it's not a collection just yet, as I have literally only two dinos at my hands right now ;w;  Maybe when I get to my family house on the weekend I'll find some of my old stuff to bring back, tho  If it didn't get thrown away, of course. My parents never liked dinos much. Right now the only thing I can show you are those Ramphorynhus and Coelophysis I've bought today:

Ya know, it's completely fine to complain about the english scene even if you simply have no desire to learn the language right now, loving VNs and not learning yet another lang to read them are not contradictory things in the slightest. Ridiculous that people even have to make excuses why they don't learn japanese yet every time some localization team fails at their job. The "time to learn japanese" meme is but a mockery at this point. Not many people would do something that demands such a serious dedication for the sake of light entertainment.
I actually had an interesting conversation on a similar topic with a friend who did manage to learn japanese after quite some time and now rarely reads visual novels. He says that since learning japanese takes quite a lot of effort for most people, in the end they start feeling that reading translated novels is something akin to cheating and get this perverse desire to force others go through the same things, make a serious effort to enjoy the medium. If they persevered why shouldn't the others just do the same? At first such logic sounded absurd but now I feel like some people at fuwa are dead set on proving his point to me

Care to work my hours for me at my job? 5-10 usually, after 6 hours of class, I study/work on assigned work until about 12, weekends are the only time I get extra time (even right now I'm on my break typing this on my phone as I went in to work early because they canceled classes for the day due to the weather), then I hang out with friends for a couple hours, sometimes I stay home and read a VN for a little bit, when I'm really busy during the semester with work I usually have to do some on the weekends as well.
You're wrong if you think I am not motivated enough, hell, I've done your "small, allocated amounts of time" studying strategy, but I find it hard to even get a hour to myself most days (If only I didn't have to worry about being homeless if I didn't work). Yeah, maybe when I get away from the ridiculous schedule I currently have I'll be able to study it, but for now, due to financial circumstances, I need to work as much as I can to keep a place to sleep and food to eat.
VNs are something that help me escape from my chaotic schedule when I do get immersed in them. That's why I love them, even if I can't read Japanese now, the translations are being done so English speaking/reading people can have the opportunity to enjoy these as well and not having to learn an entire language to do so.
Regardless, some people have absolutely no time to learn another language, especially people like me juggling long class times along with work, but being an adult means your priorities better be placed correctly or you'll end up homeless or without food. I will begin to learn Japanese when my life calms down/ this semester ends because I have more classes than I ever had before. (I have this schedule so I can avoid having to pay for more classes separately, later on down the line when I near graduation.)

Hello, everyone. In this post, I will give a few recommendations of free online visual novels I have played on CloudNovel. In my opinion, these visual novels need more love than what they currently had. Since I said they are online, does that mean they absolutely have no way to download it and play it offline?
Some of them are available both online and offline so you can choose which method do you prefer.
NOTE: The order of this list is random. These visual novels are not arranged by a ranking of “Which one is better” or “Which one I like the most”
NOTE #2: These are my personal recommendations. It's okay if you don't feel the same but please don't throw hate to me. Let's be nice to each other ^^

Do people on here get a kick out of telling people to learn Japanese? Like, I would love to learn Japanese, but having to study for college, working on days I don't have class, and then hanging out with friends when I get the time, only leaves very little time to even read VNs, let alone dedicate myself to learning hiragana, kanji, and katakana along with learning the grammar rules for spoken japanese. Not everybody can really dedicate the time to learn a new language. I mean, complaining about him complaining doesn't do much for anyone, including yourself.

Back to the original post, yeah a lot of things are in the works currently, I'm sure if you reread the current translation list, you'll find something being translated that you'll like.

Do people really only have the mental capacity to think and talk about one game? If SubaHibi had a month to blow up and didn't, nothing less than a half year of radio silence would help it get noticed much more. Blaming DDLC on it is such a weird thing to do. Would YouTube let's players or Twitch streamers pick it up? Would it produce a meme and modding culture around it, getting the attention of non-niche players? Would it have a major success on Steam, with the shitty marketing it got?
And even beyond your thesis being delusional, what's the point of frustration here? We received a high-quality Western release of SubaHibi, can share it with others and appreciate it within the community. It was never going to be as popular in the West as it was in Japan, just because of how alien its formula is for the Western audience. It probably flopped much harder than it ever had to and might possibly discourage some companies from pursuing similar localisation projects... But as we can't really prove any of that, there's nothing to mourn here. Often good things don't get fully appreciated, while crap gets elevated to the Heavens (I still disagree on your assessment of DDLC BTW), but good things still get made and find their audience. Can't we just appreciate the good things, instead of obsessing over mass culture and how shitty it is?

I've just rewatched Nanoha Reflection again (for the the X time, i just can't get enough of it):
And i gotta say i ~april can't come fast enough to see Detonation! (That's when i estimate the BD release)

They did such an amazing job with this reboot, the visuals are amazing, the action, characters and soundtrack amazing as well, i didn't think it was possible to make Nanoha as a character even greater then before but by god they did it!
I really suggest giving this one a go, its mostly Mahou Shoujo in title only, as the main settings are more in the line of military, amazing level of action plus fights:

And lastly sci fi , plus some cute girls doing cute stuff, that said it has an interesting world build up, interesting lore just freaking awesome, the movies are great!
So yeah... just really excited about the 4th movie Detonation!

CloudNovel has been developing so well. Recently, we changed the site code from php to json and currently we are going through redesigning the whole site bit by bit. The new front page has been designed, forum is taken down for redesigning and etc. However the engine has been working well so far. A lot of new features are coming up for the engine. More than a year ago, we also added a new engine called CloudAvatar. It is used to make dressup game. The main purpose for this engine is to create character sprites for visual novel but some users are just having fun with just playing the dressup game.

Hi! My name is DAX. Newbie in fuwanovel. I am a visual novel developer also a UI artist. Other than that, I am also a moderator in CloudNovel, a no-coding visual novel engine (so if you are interested in making VN but don't know how and you're interested in testing CloudNovel, feel free to ask me questions.)

I have been a fan of visual novels for a long time. Mostly VNs that I played are otome cuz all those ships are calling me to sail them! In other words, I'm an avid romance player. I can always find a ship to sail even if the VN supposed to not have any romance there. Imagination is talent, I say! Hahaha! Okay, now I'm rambling. I'm sorry.

I found out about fuwanovel recently because I never knew we have a community for visual novel fans! For weeks, I lingered around fuwanovel till I decide to make an account today! I'm not a native English speaker so please forgive me for my Englishu... I hope I can make new friends here and please take care of me.

Even if they did communicate ugliness via face, they would probably still have anime-perfect skin and bodies.
I would hope it wouldn't take a God-like intervention for an ugly person to be loved.
That said, I've love to see it. It's really amusing to see a cast respond to an unusual choice by the protag (if he chooses a loli, or those scenes in Grisaia)
I'd love to choose the ugly heroine with the good personality and see it reflected in dialogue in the rest of the game.
Probably not going to happen. We have other types of pity-choices already, and there's no reason to make anyone in an anime/vn world anything less than beautiful (unless it's representing otaku-type people/the reader, apparently.)

Kotachi Asterio is a 15 year old boy who wants to help people that can’t fight for themselves. However, he isn't some sort of superhero- he can just see things other people can't. During the day, he goes to high school with his best friend, Ophi. At night, the two fight off specters, monsters that lurk in shadows and can harm people. It is a kinetic visual novel in terms of story, as there is only one ending.

Game Design Document ★ Public Script ★ Concept Art

Kotachi Asterio wants to help people that can’t fight for themselves. However, he isn't some sort of superhero- he can just see things other people can't. During the day, he goes to high school with his best friend, Ophi. At night, the two fight off specters, monsters that lurk in shadows and can harm people.
Kotachi has been able to see specters since he was about 10. When his grandfather died, he was given a wooden box that was simply inscribed with “to whoever can grasp it”. Inside were a pair of white revolvers- however, his parents couldn’t see them, leading Kotachi to realize the revolvers were special. He finds that his revolvers are actually forged from the constellation Perseus, and can be used to fight of specters, monsters that fester in dark places. The game starts with Kotachi and his best friend, Ophi, fighting off specters when they stumble upon a talking fox who claims to be an Aligner, someone who fights specters, and makes the two boys her apprentices. They meet several other characters as they all train to become certified Aligners from C.O.I.N., an organization that employs Aligners to dispel and research specters. Throughout the game, it becomes apparent that some constellations actually embody human forms, and are a group known as the Zodiac- a group that was previously thought to be legend, as they haven’t been seen for decades. Kotachi is one of the few people in the world with a weapon strong enough to dispel the specters controlling each of the Zodiac, and thus can become their Protector, someone who shields the constellations from specters and is able to invoke their power in battle.

    ✩ Kotachi Asterio
Kotachi almost always has a grin on his face and, when he isn’t being lazy, he’s typically upbeat. However, he’s not very outgoing, and Ophi is his only real friend until Vulpe comes along and forces him to meet new people. Kotachi would be perfectly content staying a nobody and destroying specters on his own time, as he hates change. He's a junior in high school and has no clue what his major in college will be- his backup plan is becoming a "professional" urban explorer.

    ✩ Ophi Lira
Ophi is a very standoffish character who is both distrusting and generally doesn’t like the rest of the cast, save for Kotachi. However, aside from their “teacher”, Vulpe, Ophi is the most experienced in the group, as he’s been able to see specters “for as long as [he] can remember”. Even with Kotachi, though, there are things he doesn’t like to talk about- specifically his family, or lack thereof. However, through all of his rude and snide comments directed at Kotachi, Ophi does care about him.

In game, Ophi is an optional love interest.

    ✩ Ayane Miu
Ayane is seemingly cold and standoffish, but she doesn’t like people who waste her time or slack off. She is the tentative valedictorian of their class and also the incognito PTA president while also learning the ropes of running a national bank, her father's business. It's safe to say she doesn't exactly like to rest.

    ✩ Leos Coronil
Leos tries to get along with everyone. He’s an easy going guy, but his calm nature makes him the target of bullying, specifically from football players who think he’s crazy for seeing specters. Within the group, he’s the median, and thinks more with his heart than with his brain. He’s the ace of the soccer team and prefers the company of people as opposed to being alone.

    ✩ Riko Asterio
Riko is Kotachi’s adopted older sister. She used to be close with Kotachi when they were younger, but a failure to stay in touch or even visit after she moved into a dorm for high school caused the two to grow apart. Riko is mostly the opposite of her brother- she’s outgoing, vibrant, and constantly trying new things. She’s never still except when busy with work and loves to be around others. Most of all, she likes teasing Kotachi.

    ✩ Dania Truman
Dania doesn’t get out a lot, not since her grandfather passed away. She used to volunteer at the C.O.I.N. outpost with him, healing Aligners, so when he passed away she kept at it, even if she became more reserved. Dania is timid and doesn’t talk a lot to strangers, but isn’t quiet- instead, she only talks a lot to people she’s comfortable being around because of her shyness.

    ★ Overview
Hey guys! This is my newest project, Asterism. It's an RPG VN (i.e. an RPG with VN elements) that is being made in Ren'Py. It centers around Kotachi and the rest of the cast training and becoming certified Aligners, and eventually him becoming the Protector of the Zodiac. I've already had a few questions about it before, so note- this game is astronomy based, not astrology based. The main cast all use weapons forged from constellations such as Perseus, Serpens, Aquila, and more- each weapon was placed on Earth long ago by ancient powers. Each of the weapons can be upgraded. Later on, Kotachi begins rescuing members of the Zodiac from specters that have infected them- once he has successfully rescued a constellation, he is able to summon them to help fight off specters. The fights in the game are classic JRPG turn-based style and there are multiple dungeons in the game.

As previously mentioned, there are some boys love elements in it, i.e. Kotachi can end up with a boy, but the story itself is very low on romance and it's optional. However, there is only one ending, so choices only change dialogue and some scenes. The word count so far is about 60k words, but the full game after dungeons will be about 10+ hours long. There will be a demo released sometime in 2019, but the full game will be commercial, around $15-20. This will be playable on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
